I've been going to greasy spoon since they first opened *refer to date at the top of photos*.. it was an every Sunday type of thing until I moved to the other side of town . Fast forward to 2026 I was in the area and decided to visit & Wow .. the quality of food has went down tremendously & the prices have skyrocketed! I received 3 huge fatty oxtails for $40 ! I hate that what once use to be staple is just now another mediocre restaurant with insane prices

I was very disappointed with the service and food quality. This supposed to be blackened fish and it has no flavor. We got one piece of fish and a bunch of white rice. My daughter had to pay extra for candied yams as a side order. The peach cobbler was just ok. $16 for one piece of fish white rice, some sauce, and dirty rice is a little over the top. We will make another choice for take out in the future.

    Oxtails

40 dollars for oxtails and get a plate of fat. The 2 little oxtails were better than the 3 big ones covered in fat. Greens taste like they're cooked in dill pickle juice. I spent so much time cleaning fat off just to end up with a small piece of oxtails! Just so disappointed!

When I tell y'all I'll be back, I will most definitely be back. Food was amazing! A variety to choose from. I had their Cajun fried chicken wings (cook to order) with some yams, mac n cheese, greens, cornbread, and gumbo. Wings were cooked to perfection & juicy! Great bold flavors. The mac n cheese was a little too runny for my likings. Now my only complaint but won't affect my rating was their gumbo. It was on the salty side. Lastly, they only had two kinds of drinks to sell which was Pepsi & Mountain Dew. Luckily you can get something next door at the gas station and bring it in. I didn't wait too long for my food which was a plus knowing it was cook to order. Service was okay as in not rude nor super attentive. Otherwise everything was good. Also, cashless facility.

The person working at the register had an attitude and they barely had half the menu on there. The food was aight. The mac and cheese tasted like cheese soup and the cabbage was too sweet. Im not gonna say some stuff wasn't good like the complementary cornbread and the catfish. Their food and service didn't match the price at all...

So glad we came here to eat! So good in fact we are taking our leftovers 6hrs back home to OKC. This place is located next to a gas station. There is a small area to dine in for about 15 ppl or so. It s cute decor. We were greeted enthusiastically when we walked through the door. The gentleman was polite as well as the cashier when we asked questions about how to order. There are items that are ready on the hot line. There are things that are cooked to order. You better have your butt in line by 6:53 so you can be sure to get your cooked to order in before 7pm! We made it by the skin of our teeth, by time we made it to the counter it was 7:01 but the gentleman said since we were in line by 7 we could still order. We all had to know what we wanted so he could quickly call it back to the cook before they shut the kitchen down. It must be pretty serious cuz a guy behind us was getting loud with the staff about them not letting him order cook to order all week for walking in at 7pm! I was like uh oh . I got Cajun fried chicken with Mac and cheese and yams. Mom got fried catfish and shrimp with greens. The meals came with cornbread. The chicken was fried hard like it should be and was crispy and delicious . I ordered 2 of these and requested all flats. The honored the request a best they could, so one plate was all flats, and the other was 2 flats and 3 drums , no big deal! The yams...bussin, the macaroni and cheese...bussin. The cornbread was soft and sweet. The shrimp was good! I didn't taste the greens or fried catfish;that was mom's order. I also ordered a jerk lamb chop al la cart. Since we got the right before they stopped with cook to order the grill was already off so I was refunded my $11 for that. We were given complementary dessert just because. We opted for peach cobbler and cheesecake. That cobbler was so freaking good! It had lots of crust like it like it, and it was just the right amount of sweet! The cheesecake was covered with strawberry topping. It was good. The cheesecake can stand alone with out the topping. Again the service and food was amazing. Definitely recommend.

None, it's all down home, old school southern soul food. I'm vegan too but I give myself a once every 3 to 4 months southern break.

Hello, are chitterlings available today? I know there may be a shortage due to COVID so I wanted to make sure. Blessings!

Even with the crowd, the line kept moving, and there was no shortage of delicious-looking options on the steam table. From fried chicken and turkey wings to baked fish, spaghetti, cabbage, green beans, mac and cheese, dressing, black-eyed peas, collard greens, candied yams, mashed potatoes, and more, it was hard to decide what to order because everything looked homemade. I ordered the turkey wing with collard greens, black-eyed peas, mashed potatoes with gravy, rice, a corn muffin, and sweet potatoes. I also grabbed a Suicide Punch, which is a mix of all their Kool-Aid flavors. First, let's talk about those sweet potatoes... BABY!! They absolutely stole the show. They were piping hot, buttery, perfectly sweet, and hands down the best thing on my plate. I could've easily eaten another serving. The collard greens were seasoned beautifully with a rich, smoky flavor and plenty of pot liquor. They were tender without being mushy and tasted like they had been cooking all day. The black-eyed peas were creamy, well-seasoned, and comforting, while the mashed potatoes were smooth and paired perfectly with the savory gravy. The rice soaked up every bit of that gravy, and the corn muffin was soft with just the right touch of sweetness. The turkey wing itself was tender, juicy, and covered in flavorful gravy. My only surprise was that I was expecting just the wing portion, but instead I received the whole wing with the drum attached. It wasn't a big deal because it was still delicious--I just personally prefer getting only the wing. The Suicide Punch was another winner. If you grew up drinking Kool-Aid, you'll appreciate it. It's sweet, refreshing, and a fun mix of all the flavors. My family ordered several other dishes, so we got to try quite a variety. We had baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, and black-eyed peas, and everything was generously portioned. The baked chicken was moist and well-seasoned, and the mac and cheese had that creamy, homemade taste you hope for from a soul food restaurant. My only real complaint was that some of the food was served lukewarm instead of hot, which took away from the experience a little. Soul food just hits differently when it's fresh and piping hot. Ironically, the sweet potatoes were the one item that came out nice and hot, and they were absolutely perfect. Overall, Mikki's serves authentic soul food with generous portions and flavors that remind you of Sunday dinner at a family member's house. The food is comforting, the selection is impressive, and it's easy to see why the place stays busy. If everything had been served hot, this would've easily been a five-star experience. Pro tip: Don't leave without getting the sweet potatoes and a Suicide Punch. Trust me--you'll thank me later. sweet potatoes and a Suicide Punch free refills. Trust me--you'll thank me later.
