The BEST crawfish in Houston hands down! Their fixings, dip, shrimp and crab are also delicious! The staff is great and service is so quick! I do recommend getting there early to grab a place to sit. The ambiance is small, hole in the wall, crawfish/home like Louisiana vibes but we love it!

I've received multiple recommendations to try this place so my friend and I finally came! I ordered 3 pounds of crawfish their corn potato and sausage! The crawfish was amazing! Well seasoned, great size, no complaints! The corn was fresh and super sweet yet just enough spice! The potato's could've been better as well as the sausage but not a major deterrent. The service was great very kind, and helpful! The ambiance is very family friendly with indoor and outdoor seating! Not a lot of parking so do be mindful but overall do try boil house during crawfish season!

Soo I love crawfish and understand that all of our tastebuds are different so when a place has really high reviews across the board I get excited. I came with a friend on a Saturday for lunch (about a month ago, right before the season started to wrap up). Like mentioned before, parking is tough in this area so plan accordingly. It's a small little restaurant with an outdoor patio so great place to come when the weather is nice. I will say they weren't super expensive (like $8-$9 dollars a pound) however, I will say that it didn't seem any cheaper buying them in a bundle than buy the pound. Overall, it wasn't bad but it's also not was I was expecting. I thought I would be a little more blown away than I was. Maybe I have to give them one more try just to double check.

Boil House is our favorite crawfish in town. The owners are LSU grads and always use Louisiana crawfish, not frozen ones from overseas. It does get pretty crowded during peak season so we try to go earlier in the day. The spice level is great! I love the side dipping sauce. The inside is slightly small and it can be hot on the patio just FYI. The dacquiris are strong in a tasty way! We have gotten the shrimp there as well and it was great, just a bit more expensive than the crawfish.

This is very good and seasoned. The mild is very mild so next time I go back I'm getting the mouth burn. It still has good flavor. It's a small parking lot and they have a drive thru. It is very quick to get your food and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place

Friendly counter service, we ordered crawfish, shrimp and snow crab with potatoes and corn-everything was well cooked but all was covered in a strong lemon flavor and the heat seemed to come from a black pepper spice. We got the burnin hot and it was more of a tingle. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We tried the dry and wet spice but the best thing was the butter which had a nice after taste and cut through all the lemon.

By far the best crawfish I've had in Houston. I've been looking for my go to spot every year once the season starts, now there is no more searching, and if I'm not mistaken, they are only open during the season. This is Louisiana style crawfish so if you are looking for the saucy and garlicky crawfish, this is not it. The crawfish is flavored from the inside and out if you grab the sauces. Personally I don't use butter because it's so plain but the butter is my favorite here, everything here is different in a good way. Definitely try all the other sauces if you've never been here before to find your favorite.

I came out here after seeing great reviews and reading that they do legit Louisiana style boil rather than the more common Viet-cajun style I see around Houston. It is definitely a casual, very lowkey spot that is set up for the messy nature of crawfish boils. We came around 8PM on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy so we were able to quickly order our food and start chowing down. The crawfish was SO good, it definitely brought me back to my Baton Rouge childhood and I already want to come back. The crawfish were sweet and so well flavored from being cooked in the seasoning rather than just being tossed in it. The corn, sausage, and potato we got as add-ons were also great and absorbed the spices as well. I will say, they can run out of crawfish and it seemed to happen around 8:30 (so we got some of the last few pounds that night). However, if you get here and get some crawfish, you will not be disappointed!

3lbs of crawfish, corn, and potatoes with sauce on side

I haven't been to Boil House in years but this was treat worthy of its name. I got 3 lbs of crawfish, potatoes, and corn. I was greeted as I pulled into the driveway. The service was pleasant and as rapid as possible. At first glance it was pretty busy. It seemed like I didn't receive the correct amount of lbs ordered but, it was still ok.

My partner and I stopped in to try their crawfish and it was quite tasty. We went safe and tried the mild seasoning, which allowed the natural flavor of the crawfish to shine through. I want to go back to try a bit more spice and also the dipping sauce. Pricing is very reasonable (approx 34 dollars for 2 people including a tip) and you get all of the standard fixings (2 corn, 2 potatoes, a huge sausage link, and 2lbs of crawfish). They even have a drive thru if you're in a hurry and want to take the boil home to share. Inside are several large tables with plenty of paper towel, buckets for the discarded shells, and wet naps. It's not a fancy place, but it has a comfortable vibe and was more than enough space even when bustling with other patrons. Check out Boil House if you want to experience the Louisiana style boil in Houston!

My 12 yr old son just started eating crawfish, can he order non spicy ones?

Yes, they have a few different levels.

Is it still open for to-go orders?

There was a line at the to-go counter last time I was there, so it seems to be open

How much is the crawfish per pound now?

    $7.99

How much is the crawfish per lb? Any deals on if you buy a lot?

I think it was 7.99/lb or $35 for 5 lbs.

    So no BYOB!?!?

It's no longer BYOB as they serve beer and daiquiris.

    Is it still BYOB?

It is No longer a BYOB?, but the crawfish are so still delicious. They sell beer and other refreshments

I wasn't too impressed the first time, and this visit certainly confirmed my initial thoughts. For La Lucha's Happy Hour, you get a choice between 2 types of oysters ($1.50 each). These were great - do this on a weekday before 6pm and you should be able to grab a table without a reservation. Barely even after we started eating the oysters, the waitress was already asking if we wanted to order more, instead of allowing us to just enjoy our food without interruptions. The menus they gave at our table were inconsistent and had different menu items. I had to ask for clarification if the redfish was on the menu since it wasn't on two of the three menus given to us. So, quality control was a miss. Rest of the menu... is limited. Everything was so greasy, from the fried chicken, the redfish, and shrimp tacos. * Red fish with pecans - 6/10. The fish did not taste like it was seasoned with salt. It was well cooked, not dry at all, but it lacked any sort of seasoning aside from the butter and pecans on top. * Shrimp Tacos - 4/10. I think I prefer Taco Bell over this one. The shell was greasy, not crisp (felt like it was stale), and I was confused with the combination of American Cheese and shrimp. They also added hot sauce or spicy salsa in the tacos - so a warning if you can't handle spice (not mentioned on the menu). * Half Fried Chicken - 5/10. The chicken was moist. Been here once before and it was quite dry, so I'm glad this was cooked well. You get 2 thighs, a wing, and a drumstick (4pc). Again, there was a lack of any seasoning on the chicken itself & the exterior. Sadly, the sauce that we picked was not the best either - oyster mayo. It would've been nice to try the others, but the half order came with one sauce. The seasonal jam that was available was the peach jam. It went well with the biscuits (half order comes with 2 biscuits, any extra is $1.50). For my people who get cold in restaurants, I would recommend bringing a light jacket since they turn the A/C up.

We started by sharing a couple of appetizers - the smoked redfish dip and the biscuits. I'm weird about smells and aftertastes - and was hesitant to try the smoked redfish dip. The dip was flavorful and very smoky - the crackers it is served with were amazing. The aftertaste was tolerable, but a little fishy for me. The biscuits - I could write poems about them. I'd go back to eat baskets of just those biscuits. Highly recommend. My husband ordered the fried catfish platter - it was amazing. The catfish nuggets were crunchy and HOT (temperature), the fries were perfectly seasoned and the hush puppy was a crunch heard around the globe. Sadly, the shrimp and grits arrived to the table at room temp. The flavor was really good, but I was worried to mention the temp issue and have the kitchen nuke them in the microwave. The red beans and rice were similarly room temp and congealed. The restaurant atmosphere was lovely, the service was solid, and on a Tuesday evening we could have walked in and been seated quickly. Overall, it was a nice evening with our friends. Sometimes the company makes up for small disappointments.

Once we were seated upstairs, we waited about 10 minutes just to get menus -- my husband ended up pulling them up on his phone. When the server finally came by, we were already hungry and thirsty. He seemed very busy, so we quickly put in our drink order, but only half the drinks came out. I ordered a cocktail that never arrived initially, and my husband's Diet Coke was completely flat. The replacement was flat too, which makes me think the soda lines upstairs probably need attention. At that point we just focused on getting the kids' meals ordered. As the food started coming out, I noticed the kids weren't eating their shrimp and fries. After tasting the fries myself, it was obvious the fryer oil needed to be changed. I also asked for the restaurant's famous bread, only to be told this location didn't have any. My husband eventually just ordered a tea instead. The catfish my husband's friend ordered was not good at all, and while my dinner was okay, it definitely wasn't worth the price. The server dropped the check before even asking about dessert, and when we did decide we wanted dessert, it took another 15-20 minutes. To top it off, there wasn't even a bag provided for my to-go food, so I had to carry it the entire 3 blocks back.
