Britney and Ashley S. made the experience even better with their friendly, attentive service they were so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. They checked in on us often without being overwhelming, made great recommendations, and had such a warm upbeat attitude the entire time. The Catch is a casual, family friendly restaurant with a Cajun vibe. The decor is really cute and the staff was very friendly. We ordered a good bit of food and it all came out fast and piping hot. I forgot to take a picture of the crab boil bag but it was clearly the star of the show. We got the medium spice level which was very flavorful and not to spicy. It also came with corn, potatoes and shrimp. All the seafood was cooked perfectly and not chewy at all. We all had a great time and would definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

We have been regulars at the Catch since it opened in 2023. We absolutely love the food. The fried cornmeal batter reminds me of my mother's fried fish and we really enjoyed it. When I ordered I asked for my whitefish to be breaded in cornmeal batter, and she told me "we only use that batter on the Catfish. Excuse me when I was there last week and had that exact dish with corn meal batter! Now, a week later, you don't do that? .. Due to my husband's health situation, we had not been there in about 2 months. And, were we were glad to go back when, we discovered that the chef would cook fish for my husband without any salt. And we were so ecstatic because it 's so hard to find a place that would do that. Yesterday we went. We ordered 2 pieces of fish each and one side each. We asked for water. because that's all we can drink with our diets and she gave us a little cup that was not much bigger than a 5 ounce Dixie.Cup. When we asked for a larger cup, she told us that it would cost us $2.50 for WATER!. The cup was styrofoam for gosh sakes the least expensive of cups. We know we were in the restaurant business! She argued with us about the price, we literally walked out as she was trying to get us to pay for our food.. I looked at my husband and I said, I'm sorry i know you were looking forward to the fish. ( He had recently gotten out of the hospital And it was a treat to go out to eat finally!) He totally agreed with me, and we left! Sadly we won't eat there again. I was furious! This is ridiculous to treat good customers that way...I said Let's go! We will not be back. I've never seen anyone so rude and disrespectful, especially to a client that had been going there since the place opened. We would bring our family there on a regular basis. Catfish was so thin I might as well order a deep fried batter combo instead of fish. The gumbo and red beans and rice had a similar dark burnt look in which you first smell before tasting. I ordered a snow crab boil about an hour ago. I made sure to order ahead so that I could get myself together before heading out. Mind you, I ordered ONLINE. I get there and the girl at the counter tells me that her manager refunded my money because they don't have snow crab, or banana pudding. Then, she doesn't know how to print a receipt with the refund. Mind you, I'm not getting my money back for 2-3 business days. I mention that to her, and she tells me that she doesn't know nothing about that. Never offered an apology, a different meal, a drink...Nothing. So based off the reviews I was a little skeptical about dining in here but as you can see I gave it five stars. When I went in I was greeted promptly but I needed a couple minutes to look over the menu. She cashier/server was super nice. What I noticed is the servers bring out the food as ready so if your partners food is ready before yours it may be a few minutes in between. I had the crabs and oysters. The crab were flavorful and the oysters came out of their shell I wasn't a fan of that but it's was pretty tasty. Ambiance definitely gives the Krusty Krab though . Craving a catfish po- boy, I decided to go to The Catch. I ordered to go. When I got home, and bit into the po-boy, I realized I was not biting into a meaty fillet, but mostly fried coating. There appeared to be 2 "fillets" on the sandwich...unfortunately the both were so thin there was very little meat. Light even shone through them. The bread was also tough...you know like when you microwave bread too long? The fries were ok...hush puppies a little heavy and tough also. We ordered boiled shrimp with garlic butter seasoning and the cajun platter with fried catfish, sausage and red beans and rice, and an order of onion rings. The onion rings were ok, but over-fried. There was a good 10 to 15 minutes between when they brought out my wife's shrimp and they brought my entree . The catfish was over-Fried and hard. There was lots of garlic visible on the shrimp, But it must've been that garlic in a jar because you couldn't taste it. This is the second time we've been here when we didn't get everything we ordered. They never brought my hushpuppies. Overall very mediocre. Also, we stood at the register for about five minutes before anyone came to take our order. They were all fooling around in the back. I wanted to love this place because I am/was hoping it would bring more business to the area and it adds more to the variety of places to eat in the neighborhood. Plus, I love seafood! They have boiled and fried seafood, salads, po-boys, crawfish when in season, deserts, chicken fingers, lots of appetizers and sides. There is a bar area and they do serve free frozen drinks. I tried a peach something or other. Took two sips and tossed it. Maybe something I would have enjoyed in college on Bourbon St in New Orleans. There was a steady flow of customers when I came on a weeknight. I ordered the jumbo shrimp and they were nothing more than regular sized shrimp. I wasn't impressed at all. The condiments on the table were all sticky and filthy. Ew. If you are stopping in don't forget the sanitizer. Maybe it was just an off night. I ordered the shrimp boil which the shrimp was boiled too long the shells barely came off they were hard and dry and you couldn't taste the seasoning. These are tiny condiment containers for a huge $50 order. 0 ketchup. 0 napkins The oysters didn't even come with lemons or any condiments. Then they had an order in line that held up the line for over 10 minutes. Cars piled up for no good reason in the drive through. ‍ all they had to do was have the big order drive past and park and serve the other 6 cars waiting behind them. I wish I had taken a picture of the crunch creature that ended up in our Cesar salad. When you read this review I really urge you to consider the fact that I have absolutely nothing to gain by writing a negative review. My husband and I flew in to town for my sisters wedding so we definitely looked homeless after shopping at kohls and carrying our bags. However, our appearance should not dictate how people are treated. We order 2 catfish and shrimp combos and one Cesar salad. I had eaten one shrimp , a bite of my catfish and my husband had eaten none of his combo meal when we discovered a grasshopper in the (very delicious btw) Cesar salad. A THREE INCH LONG GRASSHOPPER WAS IN OUR SALAD TOSSED IN DRESSING. It wasn't the grasshopper that was the downfall of our meal it was Gary , who stated he was the manager. Gary however, possesses no customer service or conflict resolution skills so I am curious how he obtained his position. When we brought the grasshopper filled salad to Gary he asks us if we want him to remake it or refund it...we were just about to ask for a remake when he proceeds to pretty much accuse us of putting the grasshopper in the meal. Gary says that the grasshopper wasn't in the salad and he knows this to be factual because he made the salad himself. He states "I don't know where y'all got that from but it didn't come from here." What in the horrible customer service response was that...WHO SAYS THAT!!!! I'm deducing that Gary made an assumption and came to the conclusion that we put a grasshopper in our meal because we were dressed down/in airport attire with our belongings. Here's a tip Gary , don't ever accuse someone of putting a grasshopper in their meal. Learn how to take accountability even if you personally did nothing wrong...you are a manager. Came across this GEM when I was picking dog up from vet. Good was great. Order crawfish PO'Boy, catfish combo, and gator app. Prices are very reasonable and decent for the quality of food you are receiving. Everything lots of flavor and would be visiting real soon for the 10lb boiled crawfish. The establishment was practicing social distancing and keeping employees and customers safe. Came here for Mother's Day 2020. Been eyeing this place for quite some time as I followed them on Instagram. My goal was to try as many crawfish places this summer. Sadly this place disappointed with the crawfish delivery. Their pictures looked amazing but the food did not deliver. We arrived and a lady greeted us then left which had us wondering if we were ok to seat ourselves, so after standing for 5 minutes with no direction given, I seated my self. This was my first time here so I had no idea how the order of things went. There were no menus for the table, we pulled the menu up on our phone which did not reflect the same food options on the overhead. I placed my order and the phone came out. I got 6lbs of crawfish with the house seasoning (the cashier said it was her fave), fried shrimp, shrimp etouffee which had baby salad shrimp in it and a side Caesar salad which My bf didn't eat. The seasoning was off on the crawfish and it tasted more like a gravy on the crawfish than anything. Because I do not waste crawfish, I tried my best to eat it all. The staff was not attentive and did not come empty the crawfish shells or collect the empty plates. We had to place our plates on an empty table to make room at our table. The staff walked past the table that were filling up with our plates, even looked at them, and kept walking past. Overall, I probably would not return. I was excited to get some really good crawfish based on their advertising and was sadly disappointed. Out of all the places I could have chose to go to on Mother's Day to celebrate that day, I chose this place because I am a crawfish fanatic and the kids they post on social media makes it look bomb! My husband has been wanting to try the Catch since we keep passing by it. The restaurant is small but has several booths lined against the wall and a counter to order. We got the fried tilapia and shrimp combo with hush puppies and an order of the lemon pepper boneless wings which turned out to be more like chicken tenders. The fish was fried perfectly and the shrimp were enormous. Hush puppies were a bit heavy for me but they had a ton of them. I really enjoyed the boneless wings as they had great flavor.
