The customer service here is not great. The staff is alright in attitude but lack basic service training. I ordered take out, and when I called it in they said the order would take 7 minutes. This location will not start preparing your order until you arrive and pay. I come in ten minutes after calling and AFTER I paid the clerk tells me that it's gonna be "very long wait" she however can not tell me how long that wait is. We ask another employee about the wait and they said it's going to be anywhere between 10 minutes to over an hour. Huh!?! Additionally I asked her to go ask someone in the kitchen on wait time to see if I could leave and come back. She went to the kitchen and came back out and purposefully avoided. All for the food to end up being mediocre.

I ordered takeout but definetly want to go back and dine in ! I poured it out of the bag and ate my corn before I took a picture The staff are nice listen I ordered one turkey neck and I don't know why !! I wanna go back and get six tomorrow before the freeze ! The quality and taste of the crawfish and softness is what I been needing living out here‍

    Worm

This was my first time going to this restaurant and I will never be going back. I found a worm in my crab boil bag and the staff claimed it wasn't a worm it was part of the broccoli smh. It was definitely a worm and that lets you know they don't wash off their food first before they cook it. I am disappointed and disgusted I did eat some of the food before I saw the worm

Had to come back again for their AMAZING fish baskets. The service was once again GREAT. The place here was decorated very nicely for the spooky month. I tried the Juicy Fried Rice for the first time, and I highly recommend it. Love this place.

There's a place for it, but it may be under repair. ‍ I did get a laugh at the sign over the front door. Once inside I was pleasantly surprised! The bar is right up front, and to the left are several romantic swanky tables. Jazz and R&B music was playing. Great ambiance. Be careful when walking, because the floor is plank like flooring. Same for when heading out to the backyard patio area. I was told by my party to order food at the bar before going to the patio. This was a good tip because I didn't notice anyone servicing the tables prior to the food arriving. The outdoor area is literally like being in a backyard with several areas to sit. The food looked really good. However, being allergic to shrimp, I didn't want to risk eating fish fried in the shrimp oil. So I opted for the Cobb Salad. Note: They don't offer diet sodas. So I had water with a slice of lemon, in a fancy wine glass. I felt fancy! My group had an awesome time. Next time I may bring my citronella candle to keep the flies at bay, especially once the food arrives. I am looking forward to returning with my guy for a quaint dinner.

The vibe is great, the decor is awesome, the food delivers consistently, and service rarely takes a day off -- it's just a solid place to go when you're up for some great southern comfort classics. Cocktails, delicious. The daily food specials make it refreshing. The oysters never disappoint. We've rarely had to wait long on any ordered items and servers are all top notch. My only minor complaint is some of the larger groups visiting can sometimes forget there are others in the restaurant. We don't need to hear your entire conversation about the latest office gossip.

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

I love a good oyster po-boy, but it is hard finding one that is reasonably prices. And with ACTUAL po-boy bread rather than sandwich bread. A place like this is hard to come-by with a true New Orleans touch and even name (Calliope). This is officially my go-to spot for oyster po-boy. Calliop's is close to NRG Stadium, across from Shipley's Do-Nuts on S. Main at Murworth…read more I am a first time diner. I opened my Yelp! App to find a new place to eat with no real feelings toward any particular place. Landed on Calliope's page and read the reviews. Looked good to me so I headed there. Restaurant is on the end cap of a strip plaza. Has a drive-thru as well (pleasantly surprised to see that on my way out). Parking is ample as most businesses were not open on a Saturday after 4p. Parked right in front. Dining room has about 6 tables for up to 4 people each, as well as two Hi-Top tables with seating for two each. Counter has 40" TV screens with the entire menu on them right above the cashier station. Menu cycles through pics of a few food offerings as well. Came because of the review suggestion of the Boudin egg rolls and the Suicide Shrimp Boiling Pot. Ordered both from the nice cashier who explained the entire menu, best sellers and offered modifications to the rice as well. After I paid for the order, was given a disc pager and took a seat. Dining room was clean and well lit. Waited about 15 minutes and the cashier motioned to me that my order was ready. She explained that the boiling pot sauce was placed on the side so the shrimp wouldn't be soggy and explained the other sauces that were included in my order, which were the boudin remoulade and the boiling pot garlic butter. I paid about $28 for the appetizer and main entree. They offer sliced cake, bottled flavored punches and Coke product fountain drinks, as well. It took me about 30 min to make it home and the food was still hot. The shrimp are small to medium in size; the fried rice comes with scrambled eggs, carrots, peas and onions (which I had removed). Boiling pot comes with one potato and a mini ear of corn with a boiled egg. Think: shrimp boil deconstructed. The sauce was mild flavor {offerings are Regular (no spice), Mild (medium spice) and Extra (chili sauce based spice)}. The sauce on the rice and shrimp were flavorful but I found even the mild to be too spicy for my taste (have acid reflux, so I actively avoid spicy foods). The rice was good (I added extra scrambled eggs, additional fee) and the plate is more than enough for two people. The egg rolls have cream cheese inside. Though not my taste, my roommate enjoyed it with the remoulade it comes with. Overall, between the cleanliness of the location, the service of the staff, the portion size, and value for money, I will be back to sample other items from the menu.

Also, they offer a new tea made in house with Pineapple and Peach. To die for. It is sweet but not aggressively so. The inside has about 3 booths and counter seating now. The location is on the end cap of a strip where Level One Fitness is, across the street from Young Women's College Preparatory Academy. The service is always stellar and personable. The owner is a couple. The wife usually takes the orders but on this day, there was a vendor assisting with the new cashless payment and menu system. Something simple that should be an easy win. Unfortunately, everything leaned the same direction: either it was heavy, over-sauced, or overly garlicky. It tasted more like dressed-up frozen food than something thoughtfully prepared. And listen...I don't mind indulgent. But there still has to be balance and fresh food. Fresh like it was raw and delivered today, not fresh like fried in the last 15 mins. When everything is coated, covered, and competing, nothing actually stands out. The drinks didn't help either. They leaned hard on alcohol without much flavor behind them--more "this will get you there" than "this tastes good." Nothing was terrible. But nothing made me want another bite, either. And with seafood, that's kind of the whole point. The atmosphere is friendly, great music, and the service was very attentive. Even the presentation wasn't bad. It just wasn't enough. But at some point, you stop asking what's missing and just accept that it's not landing. I was still hungry so I went next door hoping for a better experience. I want to be clear: It's not bad.
