Chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy yum
    Jeannie W.

Small parking lot but they're an adjacent parking garage for free. You walk in and order and pay then find a seat. We were going to be a group of 9 so while my bf stood in line I went and put tables together to save, even at around 1i was able to find a table for 9 plus a table for 4 next to it so I just slid them together, a worker there was nice enough to jump in and help me. I ordered the chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy with green beans and mashed potato yum. There's a perfect ratio of meat to rhe breading. And the breading was busy slightly crisp, it's perfect! Green beans are seasoned perfectly and the mashed potatoes were great with brown gravy. They serve free ice cream but if you're hankering for an milk shake, I love their strawberry milkshake!!! I definitely recommend this place if you haven't been.

Mia's Table is a the definition of southern comfort. From the checkered table clothes to the old school decorations, the restaurant feels like a classic brought into the modern era. Their menu is very expansive, having a large selection of fried foods, sandwiches, salads, and more. My personal favorites are the Chicken Fried Chicken and the Turkey Burger. All of their sides are top-notch as well. Make sure you grab a malt - they're the best! Food is always fast, and there's a decent-sized parking lot which is something I always appreciate. Mia's falls short of 5 stars because some items are not as good as others. I can't help but try different dishes at restaurants, especially when there are so many options! But I think Mia's has lost its focus by having a bloated menu. I have not been a big fan of their fried seafood options as they don't have much flavor at all. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was also a bit disappointing. But if you order the right things, you can definitely have a 5 star experience here!

Amazing. My relative put me on to Mia's I've been to this location twice but also visited the Woodlands/Spring location. The only difference in taste is the strawberry lemonade I can tell the one in the woodlands location is different and better but other than that I get the same thing every time I go. Chicken fried chicken, potatoes or mac and cheese and green beans. Wish the gravy was over the mashed potatoes as well but overall great price and great food. Nachos is a must everytime we go as a starter!!!!!!

My sister and I went on Friday and AGAIN today, Sunday. Lol The menu is terrific as it keeps st about covers all food groups! The service was outstanding. There were plenty of seats both inside and outside on a patio and deck. Foodies! The food was excellent! I had the Nashville chicken sandwich which had a delish flavor with a jalapeño cream sauce. Not too spicy just good! I had sweet potato fries. Definitely get those! Today is had the Tortilla soup with a side Taco salad. The soup was great. Sister had a Chicken Fried steak and thought it was yummy. Go, enjoy, and say hello to Jorge. Best manager ever-your team rocks!

I bring family and friends here all the time along with business partners. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, Texas. You will experience the best food and the best service here every single time! Today was the first time I decided to get some food to go. Bradley was an absolute professional. While I was leaving, Johnny Carrabba came out and talked to me for a second. What a nice guy. Full of natural charisma. Reminds me of an old wise guy from casino or Goodfellas. We had a great conversation. I told him how my grandmother was born in Bryan Texas in 1927. He told me about his family that migrated there in 1905. He also mentioned his family had a store on Canal Street. I had no idea. An exceptional person, a legend in the restaurant industry here in Houston, Texas. It was great to meet you today Johnny. Thank you for your professionalism and hospitality and also thank you for serving some of the best food in Houston, Texas! Food: as you can see from all my pictures of the food is simply amazing. The best cornbread in the world. The best pot roast. The best sticky ribs. The best desserts. Everything here is phenomenal. Lunch dinner brunch you cannot go wrong. Instead, it is about the way we were treated by the hospitality manager, Kryssalyn Bayne. Our party consisted of five people, including a 97-year-old senior citizen. When we arrived, four of the five members of our party were present, and there were no guests waiting to be seated. However, Ms. Bayne was focused solely on the fact that one member of our party had not yet arrived. She informed us that other guests had been seated because they had called ahead, although this option had never been communicated to us during any of our previous visits. What was most concerning was not the seating policy itself, but the manner in which we were treated. Ms. Bayne's demeanor was loud, confrontational, and, in our opinion, disrespectful. We had all just come from church and were simply trying to understand the restaurant's policy. When I politely suggested that she lower her voice, she responded by accusing me of speaking disrespectfully to her staff, despite the fact that I had not spoken to anyone other than her. Grace's has always been known for its hospitality, which made this experience especially disappointing. I believe the front-of-house staff, and particularly those in leadership positions, would benefit from additional training in customer service, de-escalation, and professional communication. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, this interaction overshadowed what should have been a pleasant meal and family gathering. We were seated at Table 14 & served by Mr Lewis who was a breath of fresh air. The food was good despite the entry.

The service was 10/10, food was amaaaazing. We looked at other reviews before going and went with an app we didn't hear much about, but an entree that we did hear amazing things about. Appetizer: everyone talks about the dilly bread but honestly, the puff puff pass sounded better, esp the scotch bonnet aioli. 10/10 loved the flavors together, esp the fried bread with the aioli Entrees: we had the pork belly special and the nono's pasta. Everyone raves about the pasta and rightfully so. The noodles with the right amount of bolognese was such a flavorful comfort food. The pork belly was also delicious but the pasta hit better. Dessert: of course i had to get both! We got the famous olive oil cake and their banana rum cheesecake. We didnt taste much banana unfortunately but the cheesecake was tasty. Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. Tiki bars happen to be one of my favorite varieties of bars so I was more than excited to finally check it off my list. I had recently seen them on the Food Network as well. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

We had an amazing server, delicious drinks (a must try), and ok food. We ordered four drinks the painkilla, vamos à la playa, captains grog, and the Hemingway daiquiri. All were great drinks and we loved how they give you flavor characteristics of the drinks on the menu. The appetizers that we ordered were the sweet and sour cauliflower and the pork dumplings, which is why I gave this place four stars. The presentation of both appetizers were excellent. However, the pork dumplings were disappointing. They came with only six dumplings for $17, were served cold, and are very bland. In my opinion, they weren't worth the price. On the other hand, the sweet and sour cauliflower was our favorite and is definitely a must-try.

The pesto bucatini was pretty underwhelming too. It was very heavy on the mint with just a hint of pistachio crumbs, and the pesto flavor I was hoping for never really came through.
