Took my cousin to Little Oyster Bar for his birthday on a Thursday evening, and it was such a great experience. Our reservation was at 7:30pm so more towards dinner time. He arrived a little early and they had him seated in a booth by the time we got there. There's valet available for $8, but we chose to self-park for free. From the moment we walked in, the welcome was warm and genuine. Our server, Crystal, and major shoutout to her, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease right away. We didn't feel rushed despite getting there 30 mins post our reservation. The menu is on the smaller side, which I actually appreciated because everything felt well-executed. I ordered the salmon, with fries on the side, my friend got the jumbo crab cake with broccolini, and we shared the baked Gulf oysters for the table. Everything tasted fresh and was very flavorful. We almost ordered another round of oysters. The ambiance struck a nice balance. While it's fine dining adjacent, it was still very relaxed. While we definitely stood out from the typical crowd (think older, Southern regulars), we felt comfortable and welcomed the entire time. Great service, fresh seafood, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to coming back to check out their happy hour where the oysters are $2.

Finally got the chance to make my way to Little's for some oysters and a good time. We tried a dozen oysters to start off with and they were phenomenal - very fresh and from the east coast (unfortunately I tend to prefer those over gulf oysters). The tuna crudo was also great, especially if you're looking for something lighter and tasty. I normally don't like sweet flavors with fish but the pomegranate worked well with the tuna. The grilled octopus was excellent, a this was a fan favorite at our table. If you're into wine, they have a somolier on deck if you have any questions. Given that we had two birthdays at the table they gave us a special sweet treat!

Boy, do I ever DESPISE mandatory valet parking. So, you pull up to the restaurant and there is a parking fee of $8, sometimes more. You don't want to park drop off your fellow guests and find a place down the street so you turn over your car. Let's say your dining bill comes to $100. You leave a $20 tip for the waitstaff. This gets divided between the waiter and busboy, sometimes also the back of the house. The waitstaff has worked hard all evening to make your meal enjoyable. Meanwhile, some 3rd party company is making $8 off of every car being parked. For taking your keys and driving your car a short distance. What a spectacular, welcoming waitstaff and management. We were greeted by several, even though the place was PACKED on the Friday we went. Looking around at the other tables, waitstaff with big smiles, making patrons comfortable. So professional. I joked that Pappas has taken the professional training of the steakhouse and applied it to a seafood restaurant. Thank you, Omar Velasquez and Josh Cerda. And to the second sommelier whose name I've forgotten. By the way guys, it isn't "so-mah-lee-er". There is no "ah" in sommelier. Lol. The video I am posting. On a busy night like tonight the noise level was brutal. Forget about conversation. Tile floors. Reflective ceilings. LOUDNESS TO 11. All one needs is a couple of parties of six loud, shrill voices. I've never understood why restaurants have this philosophy of keeping the noise level up, for the misconception that a loud and noisy place will make people think that they are having more fun. The people that I dined with enjoyed their choices of salads, oysters, cioppino, and their salmon entrees. A lot. Everyone left very happy respect to food quality and service. I did not enjoy my gumbo because I am less salt tolerant than just about everyone. And putting potato salad in the bowl before adding the gumbo broth...for me, not good. It immediately broke down, resulting in floating potato cubes. And mayonnaise dissipating into the gravy. In Louisiana it's still about 50/50 opinion whether to add or not add the potato salad directly. I'd say "skip the gumbo". Note: a few years back, I had some dental work, so, while focusing on soft foods for a month, I had fun using this time to sample the gumbos at over 30 places in the greater Houston area and writing about them. I've also done a lot of traveling in Louisiana and noted just how the style of gumbo changes as one goes from the north (Shreveport for example) down through Cajun country, and on to Houma, New Orleans and Slidell.

Very cute so many flavors in this dish and me and my best friend loved it. It was around the corner from our old high school. It's not overly crowded. It's a very nice ambience. The setting is great. The service was on point. They made great suggestions for us we did the lobster gnocchi with fries and some cocktails and we'll definitely be back for another celebration.

Little's has been on my radar since early last summer since I had a special connection here, and also a few friends had tried it and loved it. I finally took the opportunity to try it. If anyone knows me well, they know I don't eat a lot of seafood, so I wouldn't necessarily gravitate towards a seafood restaurant when suggesting a place to eat out. I brought my friend who I usually try new places with. Though Little's has been open for about 3 years, it's new to me. Our reservation was for 5:30 pm on a Saturday just after it opened for dinner service. We decided to valet for $8 instead of look for street parking. We checked in at the hostess stand and were seated right away in the dining area near the doors for the kitchen area where the magic happens. ;) The bar was playing black and white films on TV. I wish Little's had purse hooks or stands, but it was fine. I draped it on my chair. It probably wouldn't be conducive to have a purse stand by the table because of the impeccable service and needing access to the tables. They regularly wiped the crumbs, condensation on the table from the drinks, and gave new dinner plates and silverware after each dish. Service was top notch. It gets busy with so many servers walking around, but they are attentive and work like a well-oiled machine. My friend and I were so impressed. It's like Chick-fil-A on steroids. Like another reviewer mentioned, the hostess and a server opened the doorway to the restrooms for me. Who does that?! Little's does that! Rainey (sp?) was our server, and she was amazing. She helped us decide what might be a bigger portion to make room to try other dishes. My friend and I wanted to dine family style too, so we shared most of everything except the desserts where we each got the spiced-carrot blonde brownie. I pre-review menus everywhere I dine, so I was familiar with it. Here's what we had: Lobster gnocchi - *chef's kiss* One of my favorite dishes, though truly, I loved them all. The lobster was so buttery. The crisp potato skin was enough to add a crunch. The gnocchi was pillowy. The blistered cherry tomatoes and that sauce gave it the perfect sweetness, acidity and heat. I could've drank that sauce. Lol. I think bread or something would've been nice to dip it in with the extra sauce left over. Carbs on carbs. It's kinda like Pier 39 in SF, if you've ever been. You dip the bread in the leftover garlic butter from the crabs. So good. Crab croquettes - Perfect crunch to the breading. It was filled with large lump crab pieces which is appreciated. The green sauce (avocado, tamarind, serrano) provided nice a herb/earthy flavor with the slight spice of serrano. Probably to cut the richness. American red snapper - Served with 4 large pieces and a large bowl of sauce ravigote (classic French sauce; to me, it tasted similar to tartar and gribiche). The fish was so flaky, and the breading was light. Loved this dish as well. Crisp eggplant - I love eggplant so much. I'm glad they used the Japanese eggplant. Each piece stayed crispy with a light, thin tempura batter or something. It stayed crispy throughout despite the nuoc cham sauce. The shredded coconut was not overpowering at all. I loved this dish. *chef's kiss* Grilled broccolini - After all the richness of the other dishes, it was nice to have some greens. You could taste the "grilled" flavor. It was delicious and topped with Marcona almonds. Spiced-carrot blonde brownie - Perfect size. Love that the brownie is warm. The cream cheese gelato helps cut the sweetness. The pecan nougatine is slightly hard in some pieces and could be more crumbly like brittle. Chocolate Pot De Crème - A good-sized bowl. Like a chocolate mousse/pudding consistency. The raspberry chantilly paired nicely with the chocolate. The chocolate shortbread was delicious at the bottom giving it a crunch. I had 2 mocktails which were cocktails that could be made as spirit-free. The Cool As A Cucumber was refreshing but pretty sweet and needed more lime. I preferred the Peach Pit which was more fizzy with the peach cream soda. I could eat the same dishes repeatedly here. My friend and I left full and happy. Little's is easily a favorite of mine. The lot (most likely the valet space) says "I left my heart at Little's." I left my stomach and appetite there, too! Special thanks to Chef Zack and GMs Carlos and Kobe who I had the pleasure of meeting at the 2025 Tastemaker Awards for their hospitality. I've dined at many Pappas restaurants like Delta Blues, Pappadeaux, Pappasitos, and Pappas BBQ, but no Pappas restaurant is as great as this one when it comes to food + service.

We went to Little's Oyster Bar for Valentine's Day. They have valet parking for $8 and self-parking. Our table was ready when we arrived and our server came to take care of us immediately. The restaurant has a small patio, a bar and the main dining area. The restaurant is rather small when compared to other restaurants in my opinion. The seating is also very close together. We opted for the Valentine's Day pre-fix menu, which included an appetizer, main entree, side and dessert. My husband had the half dozen of oysters and I had the wild gulf shrimp, both of which were good. We also ordered the baked oysters separately, and they were delicious. We both ordered the American Red Snapper, which was fried and when it arrived it reminded me of fish and chips. I would give it a 5/10. The fish was flaky but it lacked flavor/seasoning. The Collard Green Slaw and Grilled Broccolini were both good. For dessert we had the Strawberry and Cream spiced rum cake. It was delicious. Overall, it was good, but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to return again. It probably would have been better if we ordered a different entree.

Little's is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. The food, service, and overall ambiance has not disappointed. I went yesterday for dinner with my mom. Vinny was our server and he is incredible, he is one of my favorites and always on point with the recommendations. Omar was our sommelier and he did a wonderful job helping me select a bottle of wine. 5 stars!

Beautifully designed interior that's luxuriously relaxing but not too romantic. Hollywood regency done right while maintaining the pappas style branding. Very clean throughout. Tables were cleared immediately. Service was great. Food came perfectly timed. Did have trouble getting a refill of soda but it was very busy. Offers an awesome selection of seafood dishes and fresh oysters but I didn't think the mains were as memorable as I was hyped up to expect. Our waitress made a big deal about the sauce on the steak so when it was normal, felt underwhelming. The crisp eggplant was delightful. The dessert was SO surprisingly delicious, not too sweet and light. nobody drank at my meal but the drinks at other tables looked enjoyably fancy. Every dish was gorgeously designed. Restroom was clean. Has valet parking.

I was so impressed by our Thursday evening dinner date here earlier this week. I recognized the location, but the exterior and interior was unrecognizable, but in a wonderful way. The swift valet service, the knowledgeable waiters, Maitre'd, and Sommelier not to mention the seasonal menu. We started off with a dozen East Coast oysters 4 from Maine, 4 from PEI, and 4 from Connecticut, and we were even informed on their minerality scale. Next, our Sommelier, helped us find some interesting wines; my husband and I are fans of German and Austria wines, so we were intrigued by both an Austrian Gruner and a Sauvignon blanc, which paired well with our seafood. We also enjoyed some sourdough bread while we waited for our dry-aged salmon, not that's not a type - salmon! The experience was something else! It wasn't fishy, overcooked, or slimy. Lastly, the dessert 10/10 or 5 out of 5 stars on Yelp - we had a lovely Yuzu and Cassis dessert with some coconut cream, and I could eat this everyday if I had a high metabolism. But, I don't. If you're looking for a calm, quiet conversation focused, and delicious food type date, then this is it.

Absolutely phenomenal first time at Little's! Parking lot gets full quickly so I did valet for $8. The service is really outstanding. The staff at the front are dressed nicely and the wait staff are also all uniformly dressed with clean shirts and aprons. Was there with friends to celebrate and the staff gave me a card with the date and signatures from the chef and manager, which I thought was such a nice touch. The cocktail list is pretty nice, they're on the pricier side at $18 with options for alcohol free versions. Also plenty of wine options! All of the food was exceptional, but you must come for the oysters. They have raw oysters from different parts of the country that you can choose from, whatever quantity you desire. Went for some gulf oysters, which had a lovely sweetness, and the accompanying sauces were fantastic. The next time I come back I will order way more of these! Also tried the baked gulf oysters, which are probably my favorite, the crab on top takes them over the edge. Super indulgent but a must try. The grilled octopus was the best I've had, the meat was tender and not overcooked at all. The sauce was a perfect accompaniment. Tried 2 mains- the grouper was light in flavor, a meatier fish but perfectly cooked. Still tender. The redfish is was my favorite- the skin was crispy and the topping of olives and other green bits was perfectly savory. The levain sourdough bread was phenomenal- the outside was crusty but the inside was soft and fluffy. The butter was flavorful and the spirulina sea salt was not only beautiful but really took the butter to another level. Finished the meal with the chocolate hazelnut entremet, which had the loveliest texture and prominent hazelnut flavor. The passion fruit dollops on top were a lovely pairing to cut through the sweetness. I cannot say enough great things about this place. A new go-to for sure!! Will consider this place for all celebrations and nice dinners!

Decided to try Littles again and again, it did not disappoint!! Food: - wild gulf shrimp--delicious and good sized shrimp with the most delicious pomegranate cocktail sauce - crab croquettes--we inhaled these! Perfectly crisp with the flakiest crab meat. Highly recommend - Texas redfish--SO good. The snapper is our fave but this is a close second. Very flavorful! - crisp eggplant--highly recommend. So tasty and the crisp texture is perfection. Def a good side for 2 people to share. - French fries--so good!! Crisp exterior, soft interior. Compliments the meal really well. Ambiance-- I wish we didn't have such a small table, especially being on a date but the food and service were so good that I can't complain. Service--shoutout to Dom for his hospitality and expertise. Great service per usual!

This restaurant is where the Pappas Seafood House used to be. The Pappas sign is still up. The ambiance was chic and romantic and the service was impeccable. We sat on the covered outdoor patio as they could not accommodate us inside the restaurant with the number in our party (6). The patio was nice, not too hot or cold. We ordered some oysters (raw and baked) and crab croquettes to start. The baked oysters were flavorful and the crab croquettes were crispy and scrumptious. For dinner I had the salmon. There was a nice crust on the salmon but it was a bit salty. The salmon itself was delicious. The filet was tender and juicy. The dessert we had was ok. We expected the cake to be moist but it was somewhat dry. I would come back here to try some other dishes.

He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.

The only unfortunate part of my experience was that the two of us at my table got the same dish - biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was dense but softened under the rich and savory gravy, and I got my eggs over easy to get the yolk mixed in. I also added some of their house-made habanero curry hot sauce, which is absolutely delicious. I'll definitely have to try a few other dishes next time! Their coffees are also great, with unique flavors for their lattes like spiced guava and molasses. Both of these were super tasty, hot and iced! Ultimately 93' Til is staying on my brunch list as a top tier choice, I can't wait to come back!

Yet we had to wait for some time before someone came to seat us. Our water glasses were not refilled unless we specifically asked. The staff were also pleasant and attentive, checking in on us and making sure we knew what dishes were new and popular. Based on recommendations, I got the lasagna, which was designed based on the Italian flag and was stunning-both in appearance and taste. Each bite was balanced and flavorful, going well with both of the sauces. The chicken parm was also elevated in flavor, giving a home-like and rich feeling to each bite. For dessert I got the chocolate mousse and it was rich heavenly bliss. The meringue and mousse went perfectly together in both flavors and textures. A wonderful experience!

Bottom line is that Milton's should be your go to place for just good old Italian fare but in an upscale but not stuffy atmosphere. Mark Sayre - the restaurant groups beverage director hosted the charity dinner for my wife and I and 4 other guests. We were served 9 courses family style including a couple of cold plates, a couple of salads, a couple of pastas and a couple of entrees along with a dessert. Everything was fantastic and Mark did a great job of hosting and explaining the wine pairings. The best of the apps was the Sicilian Tar tar. Tuna, scallop and salmon perfectly marinated on crostinis. The Hearts of Palm Salad was excellent, and they are definitely sharable, probably made for 3 - 4 guests to share. Of the two pastas the Cresta De Gallo stood out the most, but the Bolognese was also virtually perfect. Of the two entrees we enjoyed the Chicken Piccata slightly more than the Hanger Steak. On our second visit, Ryan was our server. He had been our server at Underbelly, One Fifth and Georgia James in the past and remembered us immediately and was a wonderful host for the meal. This time the table enjoyed the Chargrilled Oysters and the Parsley Salad to start. We also sampled 4 pastas - The Cresta De Gallo again, the Chitarra with Scallops and Uni, the Lumache with Vodka Sauce and the Sourdough Tagliatelle. All were fantastic. My personal favorite was the Chitarra. In the end we finished off all 4 so no leftovers. We then shared the Chicken Piccata as our only entree. This dish is so good. Juicy Chicken, flavorful sauce, and the Sourdough Tagliatelle was the perfect accompaniment. We also enjoyed two desserts - The Budino (which is more like a chocolate tort than a pudding) and the Tiramisu. Both wonderful. If Milton's wasn't over an hour from our house, it would become a regular on the rotation. But it is definitely good enough to warrant many return visits.

The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. Tiki bars happen to be one of my favorite varieties of bars so I was more than excited to finally check it off my list. I had recently seen them on the Food Network as well. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

There were also a lot of families, which was cute, although I personally am not buying my daughter $16 fries. Our waitress was personable and made great suggestions, especially regarding mocktails. This is important for non-drinkers because there are no mocktails on the drink menu, but the bartender will craft something you will like. Even my friend who normally avoids mocktails was very impressed. Apps: Crab Hushpuppies - 10/10: Crunchy, crabby, and came with a fantastic honey butter sauce. Caviar Tater Tots - 6/10: Well done -- they literally whipped the potato on the inside -- but at $37, you are paying more for the caviar, which was missing that fresh, creamy saltiness you normally seek. You also only get 4 tots. I would just get two orders of the crab hushpuppies. Mains: Chicken - 10/10: The truffle sauce was dreamy, and I think they could sell it on the streets. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the dish also came with flaked truffles on top. I normally do not order chicken out, but this dish makes me wonder what I've been missing. Lobster fettuccini - 7/10: I don't think this is the dish to get here. The lobster didn't taste the freshest, and it also didn't have a lot of lobster to begin with. The sauce was well done and clearly made with lobster stock. I would come back, but there are dishes that shine much brighter than others.

Extremely kind service from the hosts through the entire team. The best balance of conversational and storytelling without being overbearing. We ordered coffees along with the crab hush puppies, gumbo, avocado toast, and ended with their massive cinnamon roll. It was the perfect spread and everything was so flavorful! (My only critique was I wish the cinnamon roll was warmed up and served with a bit more icing). The interior was fabulous with an amazing aroma. I would highly recommend for anywhere from an intimate date to a group brunch! Beautiful bar as well, I cannot wait to come again another night for dinner. Upon exit, we were also departed with a complimentary cookie - super cute touch!
