I had decided to try something new and as I was driving by I ended looking at JLB Eatery. I was great with amazing customer service and a nice young man had a smile on his face. I order the double cheese burger and after I eat it a was full. The bun was nicely toasted and the fries was excellent but the burger itself was even better. Very small location which is nice. I was a little worried about how the food was going to taste after seeing the dining room area as it was not clean. Several tables had greasy-looking spots on them and crumbs. The menu is very simple with minimal choices. I ordered the patty melt combo and my husband got the catfish basket. When the food came out it looked great. My food was a little on the greasy side but tasted great! Unfortunately, my husband's food was too hot for him to enjoy. We had to wait for a good while before he could even eat his fish as it was so hot that he could barely touch it. Now I understand the importance of cooking fish at the right temperature but this was extremely too hot. My husband also mentioned how the fish was sliced to think for his liking and I had to agree. Other than these things the food tasted great and the people were friendly at this location. The price was not bad considering all else. Also, they had a radio station on a gospel worship channel. Not that this bothered us at all but just think that some people may get offended by this being played. Always keep things neutral especially when it comes to business, and maybe put it on instrumentals for neutral acceptance. After going to the outlet mall, I was starving. Craving for a good burger.I keep hearing good reviews about this place, the other location was a bit of a fail. So I'll get started with letting you know that there's plenty of parking spots. You enter and immediately they are precautious about social distancing. The tables are halfway open. The staff are fully masked and behind the sneeze guard. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and chili cheese tater tots. The bacon cheeseburger was not bad. A bit on the salty end. I think it was the Patty itself. The bread was extremely soft and buttery, but for some reason something was off. Not bad though. The sweet potato fries were extra crispy. Crispy to the point where they were black on the corners. Yes, they were crispy. It just had a small burnt flavor to it for an aftertaste. I ordered the chili cheese tater tots because it was nostalgic. Comfort food! The tater tots were very crispy but not dry, even with all of the chili cheese, they remained crispy. JLB has the most amazing Chicken tenders. I mean you really can't call them just tenders. They're more like chicken tender whole breast. And the toast that comes with it taste like none I've ever had. I usually always get an extra piece of toast. Be prepared to pay around $12-16 for a meal- a little pricey . We got the crazy burger which was HUGE. We couldn't finish it. The burger it's self the meat falls apart & it's very sloppy to eat if you get toppings on it. Pros: You can tell they make it fresh because the meat was hot & bun was toasted. Used to love this place but I'm definitely never coming back. I rather drive an extra 10 minutes and take my business to another JLB. I placed an order at 6:04 and was told it will take 20 minutes. I placed an order online but it took 30 minutes to get confirmed, then over an hour for it to get made due to a mistake by the cashier inputting an incorrect pick up time. It's a very low-key spot and could be easily missed. The service inside was good, the nice lady I talked to who also happened to be the owner was amazing. The food is good and portion sizes are great but over priced in my opinion. I don't know if I can justify ordering a $25 burger combo with just a handful of fries. The wraps are also 15 a piece. I really enjoyed my cheeseburger! Eat here if you want a burger. It is a huge but thin bun with a fantastic flavor. The meat was thin but almost the size of the bun and had a great char flavor to it. The lettuce was shredded and crisp. The cheese kinda disappeared in there but I didn't care because everything tasted so good. Thin layer of mayo that kept the flavors connected. The fries were freshly cooked and quite hot at first. I sprinkled some of the seasoned salt from the table on them. They were good but were outdone by the burger. I had an iced tea which was fresh brewed and available in sweet and unsweetened. The location is small and fantastic for a quick lunch. There is a tv going in the corner to keep you entertained while you wait. Menu has full pictures and prices which seems similar to some Asian restaurants.
