Lacking mask.

First time here, sandwich was wonderful, nice and open. But cook need to wear mask for the safety of their customs.

Philly steak hoagie
Belly G.

Nothing special here. I came here based on a recommendation from a friend. The sandwiches (and burgers) always come plain. You get the bun and the meat. You can then go to the condiments bar to get whatever else you want to add. However, for the sandwiches/burgers, there's only lettuce, tomatoes, and onions along with ketchup/mustard/mayo. Considering that I love my onion grilled and caramelized, this is kind of a downer for me. The first time I came here, I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich. Even though the size of the chicken is pretty big, the taste was mediocre at best. I've had some good/great chicken fried chicken and this wasn't it. They also charge close to $3 for fries. Yikes!!! My meal today cost me over $10 with drinks and tax included. The second time I came here, I ordered the Philly steak hoagie. I had a high expectation because I love Philly cheese steaks. This time around, the sandwich tasted a bit better than the chicken fried chicken. Plenty of steak with grilled in pepper. However, it could use a little bit more cheese and if the bread was also grilled, it would've been better. No comparison to Texadelphia in terms of taste or price, though. The third time (yes, I keep giving them a chance) I came here, I got the Angus burger combo. It was pretty good, but I was kind of disappointed that they didn't even bother asking me how I wanted my burger. I like my burger medium, and mine was a little too well done in my opinion so it was a little too dry for me. I think it's time for me to venture for other places in the area (there's not that many, that's why I keep coming back here) and give them a chance. For the price that they're charging and the food that I get, I think I could get more out of my money somewhere else.

Jerk chicken sandwich

Pleasantly surprised by the food here. I would have never considered coming here if it wasn't for my co-workers suggestion. It's not that I prefer being fed with a silver spoon, but mainly because it isn't in the part of town I would typically venture to. I was pleasantly surprised by not only the plethora of options found on their menu but also the taste and quality of their food. I ended up ordering the jerk chicken sandwich and basket of onion rings to share (I can never pass up delicious onion rings). The sandwich came with two large thinly cut chicken filets that had a really great smokiness to them. The bun, although nothing special, was a perfect pairing to the meat...really soft and chewy. The onion rings were on point. If it wasn't for my co-worker helping me out, I would have destroyed the whole basket myself. Everything is self serve here - from finding your seats, to adding condiments and sauces from the salad bar. But it's definitely a good option for a quick bite during your lunch hour. I definitely recommend it!

Grilled chicken Taco Salad

I had my lunch delivered to my job on Tanner Road. I am giving this restaurant three stars because of fast on time delivery and that yummy avocado dressing. I have yet to go to the actual location. My coworker's frequent this place quite bit. All the food that comes from here looks amazing. I ordered the chicken taco salad. It was $12.06 and HUGE! (Mostly lettuce) It's topped with pico de gayo, shredded cheese, and grilled chicken. The taco shell was stale. The chicken taste more like the char from the grill than chicken, and I got a hint of spicy flavor from one of the items, maybe the pico. I will not order this again.

This time I got the Gyro sandwich. The meal was nice and hot as usual. I will order this again in the future

veggie burger
Preeti V.

I ate the MOST delicious veggie burger ever, here. It was soo flavorful with mustard, mayo and filled with pickles, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. I got the zesty fries which were as delicious as the burger itself. I got their breakfast tacos a little while ago as my office is closer and then returned for lunch. Always grabbed a to-go but seems like a nice place to dine-in too with lots of room for seating. There's always a line when I walk in but it moves very fast and the orders come out of the kitchen super fast too. Worth a try if you're in the area.

Sooo good

I'm in the area working and this place was recommended. Service with a smile. I had the daily special which was brisket. Yum yum Recommend this place. I will return.

Very good mesquite smoked veggie burger with pickles and onions!

Lots of seating, great wait staff, and the sandwiches are gigantic--as they should be for the price. $30 for a sandwich on average. We split an open face pastrami (which they brought an extra plate) and we are glad we did. The potato salad is tiny. Too much sandwich for one but not enough potato salad for two! The pickles they provide before your sandwich arrives are yummy- not like a traditional out of the bar pickle. These are what I remember from NYC. Garlic and not sweet. We also had the apple pie alamode. Also pricey and gigantic. It was warm and delicious. Glad we tried this icon. We went at lunch and they get quite the crowd. You are not rushed at all. You can even take some bakery items to go--if you are too full to eat there. Amazing selection of cookies, rugala, black and white cookies and more.

The parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was easy enough because it was a calm Tuesday morning. To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. Overall, the staff were really friendly, and the entire visit was smooth. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Five out of five stars!

Showed up on a Wednesday around 11:45 to a mostly empty restaurant. Its counter service ordering, but very friendly and efficient. My selection was a 5" Deluxe Po Boy which has Ham, Salami, Mozzarella lettuce tomatoes and Mandola's Italian spread. Simple sandwich, but oh so perfect. The bread was perfectly toasted, the cold cuts sliced just right and tasty and the italian spread was the perfect condiment. I'm not normally a cold deli sandwich person, but would order this sandwich over and over again. Since I was solo dining, but wanted to try more than just the sandwich on my first visit I opted for a side of spaghetti and the italian sausage. Dumped the italian sausage on my spaghetti and it was like a small side entree. The sausage was the highlight, but the spaghetti was well cooked and the traditional marinara was flavorful. While I expected the restaurant to be a little more bustling at lunch time, it was a very comfortable experience in the bright open dining area with a great deal of Houston Sports Memorabilia on the walls. The chicken seems to be marinated to the chicken as it Marinara stuck really well and didn't create too much of a mess. The bread and the chicken were soft and easy to the bite which is an advantage this sandwich has over most. But the flavor was only slightly above average. And the garlic Parmesan bread didn't really make an impact I assume they thought it was (didn't taste it at all). I wish I would've gotten a recommendation before coming here cause I feel like I might've just selected the wrong menu item. I definitely will come back after class one day and try again. It is most definitely worth coming back. The service was welcoming and gives off east-coast neighborhood sandwich shop which I like. Good prices

I had originally wanted to come because I saw that they sold steaks for purchase you can bring home to cook. However, since it was lunchtime and we were already hungry, we decided to grab some lunch as well. We got the 3 meat combo with chicken, brisket, and ribs. It came with two sides and we chose coleslaw and chicken salad. I thought it was nice they had extra protein choices as sides. They also had a tuna salad and egg salad in addition to pasta salad, beans, potato salad and other options. The food came out quickly and the meats were all very tender. However, they just tasted salty. I had a hard time tasting any other spices/flavors which is what I'm accustomed to at other bbq places. The chicken salad was salty as well. It would've been tastier in a sandwich with some crisp greens versus just by itself. Coleslaw was average. Edible but nothing special. Husband thought it was too sweet. I do have to say the service was very friendly. The worker behind the counter gave us the impression that he really wanted to help and make us comfortable. When I found out they only sold bottled water, he offered to go to the back and grabbed us two cups of tap water, which was a nice gesture because he didn't have to. We ended up not getting any other meats because the unpackaged steaks looked dried out and sad in fridge. I wasn't sure if those were the pieces they would sell you or if they were just for display. But for $34.99/lb, I didn't want to risk them giving me the dried out looking steak. Overall, it seemed like people really like this place . The person in front of my husband said this place has the best burgers! And lots of people kept coming in and out. However, for us, this isn't our favorite.
