Best burger I've ever had! And the service was amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The building is small, and I love that![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Loaded Swiss Mushroom Barger and side of chili cheese fries

Finally came and tried an actual burger here rather than just stopping by for fries. It's a casual stop that can be easy to miss as its in a sort of businessy part of Almeda Rd. There's a small lot but I've never had issue since I come at off hours. Service has always been nice here and staff are patient when I'm trying to decide what to eat and helpful with recommendations. I got their loaded mushroom swiss burger and really enjoyed it. It was very filling and the burgers themselves were very flavorful. The toppings also went well with the burger and it surprisingly didn't just all fall apart as soon as I started eating it. I'm also a sucker for chili cheese fries and am thankful to have some place close to get them. Their chili is a bit on the liquid side and I prefer a more chunky sauce but the flavors are great and when the fries soak it all up, it all comes together anyways. Overall, I was very impressed with the food here and prices are decent (considering the current state of affairs). Definitely a good local spot for a hot, juicy burger that will fill you up

This is my favorite burger in Houston after living here for almost two years. Loaded burger is on Almeda near the Med Center. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a small parking lot in the rear of the building and a good amount of seating inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a fun outer space theme going with blue and orange accents.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered ahead and picked up and then added a few side orders of fried items, so all in all we waited less than ten minutes. The loaded burger itself is super juicy and had great balance between the beef patties, cheese, pickles, fried onion strips, and buttery bun. I can't say enough about how flavorful and fresh everything tasted. It's almost too much for one person to eat in one sitting. Their fries and onion stack are crispy, nicely salted but not too salty, and generously sized. The tater tots were almost as good but I wanted a bit more crisp/crunch on the exterior. Seriously, if you're looking for delicious burgers and sides, try Loaded Burger when you're in Houston.

The classic burger with cheese was big, juicy and flavorful. I got my other quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area was average but ok for a small burger joint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Burgers are ON POINT. I am picky about burgers too. Service was one guy at the counter, and you pick up your food when they call you in the small dining room. We went for dinner around 5pm and our burgers and the fries were great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the decoration. Not just sports themed, but HOUSTON themed, so I'm a sucker for Astros colors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also love that they have local art on display, looked like it was for sale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm already dreaming about my next burger there! [[HIGHLIGHT]]TBH, the location is vaguely sketchy. Outdoor signage is not clear, on very busy street, and parking in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This did not bother me at all, but it might bother others. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once you walk inside, everything feels more upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The shuttering of the M&M Grill (#1) came as a shock to many, seeing as their reputation as a Med Center destination for comfort food had come to a halt. They have been reincarnated as Loaded Burger, which is the end result of focusing on a segment that they do best, which is burgers, fries, and hot dogs. Fans who knew the previous iteration won't recognize the newly renovated interior. The space is bright and the abundant seating is particularly great for groups. It is also bigger visually, since it incorporates the previous next door space that was once a specialty Middle Eastern grocer. Since the parking is still unbelievably tight, I figure it means the place is always going to have a few people in at a time but never full. The food is a direct result of focusing on one of their most popular segments previously, which also meant that Mexican and Mediterranean food were no longer the focus. Ultimately, who doesn't love a good (loaded) burger? All burgers fall between $10- $11 range and that's without even ordering fries. The menu also includes hot dogs, other sandwiches, as well as wings to complete the comfort food trifecta. First timers should consider the classic loaded burger since it is their signature burger and loaded with one to go with since it is loaded with fried onion and jalapeno slices ranch drizzle pickles and loaded sauce on the bun. They also have a mango habanero burger, chicken burgers, and veggie ones as well. Currently the only non-burger sandwich they offer is chopped cheese. It looks decent and while it's not really reminiscent of what one might see at an NYC bodega, it's a decent sandwich but needs *way* more cheese. The hot dogs are surprisingly solid with the chili cheese dog taking the cake. Last but not least, the wings were a tinge dry and over fried, but the portions and seasoning was appreciated. The service is friendly and the food is 100% Halal. I hope they keep the menu simple without the temptation to add other items or cuisines to the mix. I hope they'll continue to win back their old customer base, one burger bite at a time. ___________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/m-and-m-grill-houston

Burger was really good. Meat quality, tasty, toppings fresh, toasted buns & fries cooked to perfection. Great customer service, very nice staff working at counter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little hole in the wall spot when you want a good burger.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only con is parking is limited.

The burgers are amazing! Top 3 in town, and I've tried all the big name "burger joints" in town. Full of flavor, juicy, and most importantly, FRESH! Give this place a try. Your won't be disappointed!

Small and cute space to have a casual ambiance with food. The burgers are quite good! We tried the loaded mushroom burger, classic cheese burger, and mango habanero burger. All tasted delicious and are a good serving! The wings however that we ordered as appetizers weren't good at all we ordered lemon pepper wings and garlic Parmesan. The wings were quite tough cooked and the seasoning was just over the top and didn't taste good at all. Service is good! There are some parking spots around.

Spicy chopped cheese 5/5 Curly Fries 5/5 While I was very sad to lose the mexican and mediterranean plates of M&M grill, I was happy to find a great burger shop that can stand toe to toe with the bests of Houston. I got the spicy shopped cheese, and while its not overly spicy, it sure has the flavor covered! The steaming meat covered with cheese and the cool lettuce on a soft bun makes a perfect meal. The curly fries are super cripsy and flavorful without being overly salty. The food came out very quickly and the staff are all very nice. The biggest challenge is the small parking lot in the back of the shop, so I have had to park in the neighborhood nearby and walk over when I am visiting at peak meal hours.

We came for M&M grill and ended up staying for Loaded Burger lol so basically this place is run by the same people who ran M&M grill except they took the mediterranean and mexican items off of the menu and now focus exclusively on American fare. They offer burgers, hotdogs, and sandwiches. We got the loaded swiss mushroom burger, which was delicious, and the fried chicken burger, which was battered like fried catfish so it was different but not too shabby. Service was casual, you order at the counter and they bring it to you. The interior was modern and clean, despite the rough exterior. Overall, a good place to check out in the Med Center.

So long M+M grill. Hello Loaded Burger. Located in the same place on Almeda, just near Med Center. Since the reviews said walk-in'd can be on the slower side. I decided to call in my order in advance, so no wait time. They have completely renovated inside. Definitely a more young, modern, and flashy vibe inside. They have done away with all of their Mediterranean dishes. I know many will miss this. And now only serve burgers, wings, hotdogs, all Halal style. They have a food truck out front. I didn't get to ask where they plan to be, but ready to find out. I picked up my order, and the kind manager, his name starts with an A (Ashan sp) went above and beyond to ensure my order was exactly as expected. He gave great service with a smile. I got the loaded cheeseburger, comes automatic with 2 patties, topped with an onion ring, pretty good. And also got the chopped cheese. I enjoyed the flavor on this. Was really tempted to get the Hot Chopped. But he said it's uncomfortable hot, so I'm glad I did not. All sides are extra (onion rings, fries, etc), no meal/combos offered. Service is a 5 for sure. I'm coming back to try their shakes!

To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.

The spacious layout allows breathing room for all kinds of groups. Service has been good overall, and prompt throughout every visit. The American bistro inspired menu has a decent amount of variety that spans from brunch to a tasty weeknight dinner and a drink. Their starters have a variety of tasty bites that include the white truffle eggs, wicked wings, prosciutto-melon burrata, Mama Pauley's meatballs, and a very addicting chipotle pimento cheese dip. While I appreciate the vegan-friendly hippie chickpea croquettes, it needed just a bit more seasoning. Their bacon double cheeseburger has been deemed "insta-famous" and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's juicy, a little messy, but a lot delicious. It paired well with their large cut fries (consider upgrading to the truffle fries), but the house made chips are also a good light bite. Their salads are equally fabulous from their classic caesar to a hearty cobb salad. I wasn't as impressed with the crunchy Asian salad, but thought their faro salad was a thumbs up. Understandably, the priciest meals are some of their grilled and house specialty meals, such as a prime tenderloin filet ($42), Mediterranean roasted redfish ($36), twelve hour ribs ($29), and rosemary-lemon chicken ($29), all of which are solid.
