Classic case of "I drive by this place all the time." Today I decided to finally try it on a whim and could not be happier with my decision. First, the parking lot entrance is blink and you'll miss it, tucked narrowly between the carwash and the cafe on Washington, but parking is surprisingly ample. The husband and wife owners are lovely people. The inside is very comfortable with a very old world cafe ambiance. The burger and fries are clearly made to order and incredibly well made. The burger was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked, the vegetables were fresh and crisp, the burger sauce was really nice without being cloying or overpowering, and the bun was nice and soft. The fries were those nice, thick, crispy on the outside soft on the inside diner style seasoned fries. The pastry offerings, which I was told the wife bakes herself, look excellent as well, as do all of the coffee drinks. I'm very excited to come back and try their cafe offerings. read more

Summary- Classic yelp overrated. Not a great burger. In the end the burger patty itself needs to be good, and it just isn't. My guess is they solicit reviews effectively based on signs throughout. Food- 2 stars I'll start with good. The brussel sprouts offered as an alternate side were pretty solid, we got two options and both had good flavor if not a little over seasoned. The burgers were bad. The patty was totally unremarkable and may be frozen out of the box patty. The rest of the toppings were fine, but nothing outstanding and nothing that could make up for an awful patty. The fries are ok. Drinks- 3 stars Milkshake was ok. Lemongrass Matcha was overly sweet. Service is quick just walk in, order at the counter, and you'll have your food in about 5-6 minutes. The vibe is chill, with seating outside on the patio or inside if you want to hang out or get some work done. I tried the matcha, which was really good. I also got a burger with fries and a drink. The burger was a bit too salty fresh for sure . They price the burgers by patty size (4 oz or 6 oz). I got the 6 oz and added bacon, but that was a mistake only two pieces, super crispy, and not great it's the very thin bacon the use m, definitely not worth the $4 bacon , so I'd skip the bacon. The meat tasted fresh, but again, a little too salty. Fries were great but came out a bit cold. Overall, it wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected, and the prices are a bit higher than I'd expect for some. I might give this place one more try and update my review. Went to Burger Vibe on a Saturday night. I ordered a burger with fries and a milkshake. The burger and the milkshake were really good, fries were ok. The service was friendly and my order was delivered relatively fast. This is where my four star review ends. I must add that there was something odd/unusual, although not necessarily bad. The nice sofa area at the entrance was fully occupied by what it looked like the children of the owner. One was sleeping, the other ones were playing, with lots of toys in the floor and blankets. That made me smile but felt a bit out of place. Costumers had to go through that to reach the counter. Maybe that was a night off, a family emergency like the one we all have had, but they have to be careful of not looking professional as a business. read more

There is plenty of patio seating for when the weather goes our way here in H-town. From appearances this spot has a fair number of takeaway orders likely due to the peculiar parking situation. The vibe is very diner-like with a combined cafe and a small book/board game library. They don't have an alcohol license yet but we still got one free drink with a purchase. Not exactly what we were expecting, but we got food all the same. I got a Texan Burger, subbed my fries for brussel sprouts, and got an unsweetened green tea from behind the counter for about $20 before tip. Overall, the burger is a good classic burger (not too greasy, easily eatable with one hand) and the brussel sprouts were way better than my friend's fries. But for the price, I wouldn't go back. This is the best burger in Houston for me. I highly recommend getting the double cheeseburger as your first burger to try here. I get mine medium-well. I wasn't a double cheeseburger type of person until having this one here, and now I can't seem to order anything else because it's just too good, so haven't yet tried the other varieties offered. Empty for a Wednesday evening, parking is a challenge since it's on Washington avenue owner was very nice and welcoming I ordered the New Yorker which was a burger topped with pastrami sauerkraut, provolone, lettuce tomato their special sauce and mustard I prefer to eat a burger and not a salad on a bun so I opted for just the burger, pastrami cheese sauerkraut mustard. The burger was cooked to order (which I like) came with a very tasty basket of seasoned fries because it was just a single patty I didn't get to taste the depth of the burger. I did get some of that flame broiled taste. The Total for the burger fries and drink came to bout 18.00 which is a bit considering the size of the patty. I would recommend perhaps adding a couple more slices of pastrami to justify the price. All in all it was good. I might stop in the area again read more

Burger Vibe is the name of the "restaurant" inside La Vita Italian Coffee house. Since it's located on Washington parking space is at a premium. They do have a few spaces next to the big blue storage building next to the restaurant/coffee house. They have both inside and outside seating in what looks to be an old gas station. I came for lunch a couple of weeks ago to try their burger. I ordered the regular single patty version w/o cheese for $9 and added fries ($4.50) and a soft drink ($3). With tax it was about $18 and was ready in about 10 minutes on a very slow weekday. The indoor decor is "coffee house" with several padded chairs and sofas with living room furniture. It has a relaxing feel to it. The burger consisted of a 6 oz. beef patty on a potato bun with lettuce, tomato and house sauce. It was a hefty burger that dripped juice and tasted good (3.5). I liked it. The seasoned fries were warm and obviously to me not fresh. Also either you like or dislike the seasoning and with me it was more dislike. Your opinion may differ. Finally for $4.50 I thought they were overpriced with "In The Loop" pricing. Because of the fries and cost (everything is a la carte) my experience was more of a 3 rather than a 4. I would return for the burger and atmosphere but probably skip the fries and that is the only side they offer. read more
