Solid five stars almost gave a four star review, but I'm gonna give them the five star. There were a few things that could work on, but other than that the food was good. Food: I opted for the huevos Ranchos, which were pretty good. I wish they came with more sauce, though they didn't put enough sauce. However, it did come with Barbacoa and that was excellent. The carne guisada taco was OK. Overall, the food was a decent five star no doubt about it. The service is a little bit lacking. They took forever to bring the bill, they added extra taco to my girlfriends plate that she didn't order that's fine. We ate it and paid for it. I guess there's a bit of a language barrier there but it's no big deal. We were staying nearby and came here for a late breakfast. It was soooooo tasty. Their salsas and homemade tortillas really made the meal. Also, they have fresh squeezed orange juice which hit the spot after a night out. I got the Huevo con Tocino (Eggs with Bacon) and was very impressed with the bacon. Stopped by for breakfast today. Ordered rancheros and the chiqles (can't spell it ) plate. Mine arrived way before my husband's. If I didn't start eating, it would be cold. No tortillas arrived So I had to ask. Asked for corn and got flour but was 3/4 done before they came. Ordered eggs medium and got sunny side up and runny - both plates . the sauce was pretty tasty. nothing was spicy - bummer! We also tried the breakfast tacos - fajita and chicken. The meat was cut into tiny pieces that fell out as u ate and she forgot the cheese and then brought me cold shredded cheese but had to wait for it while she took an order from another table first. I have been going to this restaurant for many years. I love their barbacoa and pozole. Other than their chips, which are always stale because they are not properly stored, Pretty much everything there is good. However, recently the service has been terrible. For a regular who not only frequents often, but always takes new friends and family, as well as recommend friends and family...I don't feel they value my business. This past weekend, I took two new family members bragging to them how good it is there, but after the way we were treated, I may not go back for a while, if ever. Had to continuously ask for things like silverware, more coffee, more water, condiments, Items that belong with our meal, such as cilantro and onion, etc , for them to react as if we were bothering them (to basically do their job) really upset me. The constant asking for things, was not my issue. I could have dealt with that, as I usually do. But The looks and response from them (including the daughter of the owner) were not nice or welcoming at all. I was truly embarrassed. Although I enjoy the food there, the atmosphere isn't even the best. It's seems old and dirty, the restroom reeks of sewage. Parking sucks. Why would I Continue to go back to be treated that way. Again, all the other things I obviously overlooked but to treat me like I'm a bother, you must not need my business. There are plenty of other very good restaurants that I could spend my hard earned money at. So if they will not make me feel welcome and valued, I just don't need to dine there.
