This is truly a hidden gem! Location / Interior Unassuming and inconspicuous describe where this establishment sits. There are plenty of seats inside and with COVID-19 they are already distanced. Food So good! We had a barbacoa taco, chilaquiles and menudo. Both were fantastic. The menudo seemed a bit watered down, but even then it was much better than most places around! Pricing For the portion and quality the pricing is reasonable. Service Very attentive set of ladies between the three. The youngest handles the tables and she is always quick to make sure you have everything you need! Overall This place is definitely going to be visited more frequently by us since we are not too far from it. I honestly did not know what to expect! My chille relleno came hot, stuffed with beef and potatoes in a pool of potato/tomato salsa. I must admit, despite the fact that I dont like refried beans, these were actually very good! Definitely not Tex-Mex as the natural flavors of the food exude the culinary habits of Cental Mexico/ Costa Rica. This is Authentic Mexican Food at a very reasonable price with a homey feel. Today, on the 4th of July, I was on my way to show a property and did not have time to cook my breakfast at home. I decided to stop at a drive up for what I knew would just be a subpar breakfast item. Instead, on my way driving down on Quitman I saw this little place on the corner and noticed a lady going in so I was happy they were open. I figure I'd try one of their breakfast tacos and that should be enough in case I am delayed with my client. Here's my review of the two tacos I ordered; potato and egg and chorizo and egg on corn tortillas. It came with a little container of hot sauce. Since they were to go I decided to eat one taco so they wouldn't get too cold on the road but when I opened the bag they were so hot I could not even handle them. I decided to eat one in the car and let me tell you; I am one of the strictest foodies in Houston and I am tough on reviews. In all my years of going to the usual popular places for Mexican breakfasts, I have never had a taco I couldn't put down. The corn tortilla which I was told was home made there did not disappoint. It was such a fresh corn tortilla I could have eaten it without the filling. The tacos were small but you will have enough with two. I have decided that I will support this little "hole in the wall" located on the corner of Quitman and Cochran and will return to try out some other items. I am sold on their corn tortillas and I highly recommend them. I am having trouble forgetting about the corn tortillas. I wonder if they can sell me a dozen??? The fillings were delicious too! She never came back, I couldn't even ask where the rest of my chicken was. When I went to pay, I was asked if everything was OK. I said no. I should have been talking to the wall. They have tortas, tacos, gorditas, quesadillas, enchiladas etc. I had a Milanesa torta and a gordita w/ al pastor. They were both tasty.
