The happy hour at KP's Kitchen is fantastic! There was a nice variety of items to choose from. The portions were so big and tasted great! Everything came out quickly and hot. Amazing value and great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and our bartender made excellent drinks.

Buttermilk Chicken Plater!

My Auntie has been wanting to try this restaurant since they opened and she read the reviews. Yesterday was her birthday, so we took her there for birthday brunch. The food was exceptional and everyone loved their meals, from Buttermilk Fried Chicken, to salmon with veggies, to double cheeseburger, to fish n chips oh, and the Brussel Sprouts left us all speechless. I can't wait to go back for the 4-6 PM smaller plate menu items and the happy hour deals! We were warmly greeted and served by multiple very delightful restaurant personnel from appetizer to entrees and other small requests. Everyone was pleasant and truly seemed to enjoy their work. I love it when I experience this level of care and attention in a restaurant. The place is not too small and not massive in size like many of the chains. It's just right and lovely decor with huge mirrors so you're not staring at a blank wall. Very well thought out concept and menu choices. The menu offers much more than online. I believe a true sign of a quality restaurant with fresh ingredients, has a menu that says "ask what our Chef is cooking today" which was the case for a few of the menu choices. Indeed I asked about them all! The two soup choices today were both vegetarian and although I didn't order either, both sounded scrumptious! I am not done with KP's and will be back...soon! Sorry I missed the photo of the Brussel sprouts!

Breakfast

What a wonderful great brunch. KP in Bellaire is a go to for me when looking for eggs benedict. I did order the eggs benedict and they were cooked to perfection. The golden hollandaise sauce with a bit of a tang was my favorite and complemented the homemade biscuits. The dish was served with bacon, homestyle potatos and a fresh cup of coffee along with excellent service.

Veggie burger and fries

My daughters and I tried KP's in Bellaire for brunch, and it was a nice spot with a fair number of vegetarian options--not mind-blowing, but definitely enough to work with. We got there around 1:30 PM (brunch runs until 3:00 PM), and while we were offered the brunch menu, we ended up ordering from the lunch menu instead. My daughters went with the rigatoni without the meat, and they really liked it. The staff was super accommodating in helping us find good vegetarian options. I had the house veggie burger with fries, which was good, but the pasta was definitely the better pick. The pasta had a nice buttery garlic flavor! Service was friendly, the restaurant was clean and well-decorated, and I noticed that they had a private room for larger groups. Next time, we'll actually go for brunch and try the French toast and request a vegetarian version of Eggs Benedict! Looking forward to going back.

Chicken tenders

The service was excellent: attentive, helpful, great personalities and humor. The ambiance felt like it was having an identity crisis. Very low lighting-a little too dark for me-gave it a romantic feel but the music included the song YMCA, 1990s hip hop and 1980s pop songs that along with sports on TVs sends mixed signals. The house salad was delicious. Fresh greens, not too astringent radishes and the vinaigrette was so good. I'd like the recipe. The chicken tenders and fries were just meh. Lacked seasoning and they lacked the girth and juiciness I'd expect from a tender and a bit dry. I think there's potential here. I know KP has a reputation for good food so I will be back. I heard the burger and fish are excellent. They also have ribeye night. I love a good steak. Looking forward to giving that burger a try next time!

We came at 11:30 AM and were immediately greeted and seated by a server. [When we left the restaurant was filled - popular place for a Tuesday lunch.] Service was excellent, food came out in about 7-8 minutes. Food was great - waiter brought us the requested condiments. The owner came by a couple of times to check on us. It couldn't have been better. I continue to recommend this casual restaurant for lunch.

Food was fabulous! They have a live band on Saturday night. Cute decorations on the tables and around the room. Waitress was helpful with the menu and even though we were full talked us into a peach cobbler.

Spinach dip do not order

I decided to go to this location as I read reviews that the food was good. The location has plenty of parking as it is in a small plaza with front a rear parking. Open walking in I was greeted and offered to be seated as I had a reservation. The ambiance is so cute and clean. All staff were friendly and checked in during my visit. I decided to order off the restaurant month menu which was $39 for a three course meal. I ordered the spinach dip, lemon chicken, orzo and spinach as well as the fluffy cake. I did not like any of the food. The spinach dip wasn't creamy or flavored and the chicken, orzo, and cake was bland. When I informed them I didn't like the spinach dip the offered me chicken bites in which the food was hot looked good but lacked flavor and seasoning. I was just surprised as I haven't gone somewhere in a long time where I didn't like anything I ordered. In addition, I ordered a smoked Old Fashioned which was good and regular that was just okay. The drinks are pretty pricey so be ready to spend. I liked how they have lots of upcoming event with steak night and later that day they were gonna have a 80s dj at 6pm Saturday night.

They had all day happy hour when I went on food and drinks. I stuck to that menu to try a few things. Service was great and attentive and the restaurant itself had a nice vibe. Only complaint was the avg old fashioned

16 oz. Ribeye & Truffle Fries
Riley E.

It was our first time and will definitely not be our last. We had the most wonderful service with Annalisa (I hope I spelled that correctly). We went for the Thursday night special and had the 16 oz ribeye which was so tender and well seasoned. The starters were exceptional, especially the butternut squash soup. They comped some truffled deviled eggs for us since it was our first time dining and they were a religious experience to say the least. Additionally, they sent out the cheesecake which was the perfect way to end such a decadent meal. Overall, it was one of the most attentive and special dining experiences I've ever had. Would recommend to anyone!

I have hosted many events at venues and country clubs throughout Houston, and I can honestly say that no hospitality has ever come close to what we experienced here. From the very beginning, Naveen made the planning process seamless -- he was incredibly communicative, responded promptly to every email, and made sure every single question I had was answered thoroughly. As someone who is extremely Type A and usually handles every detail myself, I was blown away by the level of professionalism and care from the staff. At the event itself, the general manager, Brad, completely exceeded every expectation. He checked on me constantly throughout the night, made sure I never had to stress about a single detail, and truly took control in the best possible way. I was carrying around a folder with timelines, schedules, and plans for the evening, and he literally took it from me and said, "I've got this" -- and he absolutely did. Once he learned it was a surprise party, he made sure every staff member was informed, from the valet to the bartenders to the caterers, so the surprise went flawlessly. When my husband arrived, Brad immediately asked what his favorite drink was and had it ready for him, which was such a thoughtful touch. The staff anticipated needs before I even had to ask. They proactively adjusted the layout because rain was expected, and when the rain finally came, they quickly moved tables and handled everything seamlessly. When our microphone delivery was delayed, Naveen even offered to go next door and purchase one himself. Brad made one announcement for the surprise reveal and then continued helping with announcements throughout the evening without me ever needing to ask again. Even after Naveen had left for another event, he actually drove back to check on us, which says everything about the level of care they provide. Every single guest raved about the venue, the atmosphere, and especially the service. We truly felt like royalty and VIPs all night long. The hospitality, professionalism, attentiveness, and warmth from the entire team made this one of the most memorable events we have ever hosted. I cannot recommend the Rosa Room enough to anyone in Houston looking for a hidden gem to host a special event. We will absolutely be back. Also thank you to Daria, Alejandro and all other staff that made my 5/9 event incredible!

It's a very quaint, intimate space. As soon as we sat down, they brought out complimentary pretzels, which was a nice touch. My friend ordered a highball, which she thought was super strong. The drink I originally wanted was sold out, so I ended up ordering the "Shizuka Ame" (Silent Rain) instead -- honestly, it was a blessing in disguise because I absolutely loved it. First of all, the drink is gorgeous to look at, but more importantly, it tastes incredible. The foam rose on top was sweet and creamy and paired perfectly with the cocktail itself. I ended up having two because it was that good, and I genuinely still think about that drink. It definitely leans sweeter, which is exactly my preference. They also offer bar bites, and my friend ordered the wagyu toast. It was hilariously tiny, but the bite I tried was actually really good. Overall, I already booked another reservation for later this month. I'd absolutely recommend giving this place a try, whether it's for a date night or just catching up with a friend. The atmosphere is dark, intimate, and moody without being loud or overstimulating -- just a really nice spot.

We walked in without a reservation around 9:30pm and the place, while small, only appeared to be at about half capacity. We were turned away and told that they were "booked on reservations" until 11:30pm. This was slightly confusing but we still wanted to keep the option open, so we went over to Doko across the way and enjoyed drinks and sushi. We were able to talk to GM Alejandra about getting into Bar Doko and she made a point to take care of us at Doko first, during which I made an OpenTable reservation for Bar Doko later that night. Alejandra then kindly walked us back over to Bar Doko to make sure we got seated. Excellent handling by her. As soon as we were seated, we were given warm towels and bar snacks - a great way to start the experience. For drinks, both us got the Enso Requiem - The Circle, Completed. Both of us really liked it! On the boozier side but I do like me some Japanese whiskey, so the Suntory was perfect in this. For our next round of drinks, we got the Aki Fall highball. I have never really been a highball person, but this one changed my perspective. It was made with cherry bitters and jasmine wine, which were both unique for this type of drink. I could drink these all day, especially on a hot afternoon, as it was very refreshing. I will definitely give highballs another go next time I see them on a drink menu. Despite eating tons at dinner and then at Bar Doko before, we still wanted to try the food here, so we got the A5 Wagyu Toast and the Tuna Tostada. Both were small bites - each one came out as two individual pieces that were a bite's worth each. The A5 wagyu was super tender and full of flavor and the toast balanced out the moistness of the meat. The tuna was also very tasty and the tostada had a similar effect of soaking up the wetness from the fish while providing a nice crunch. It was topped with kimchi which gave it a nice Due to the trouble earlier, the bartender ended up making our second round of drinks on the house. With that said, the bill was still a bit pricey given that the drinks start out at $18+ and the food is in the same price range. I will say that drinks here are more expensive than you'd find at other cocktail bars around Houston. We had a disappointing-experience-turned-good here at Bar Doko and I'd be glad to give them another chance. The bartender and food runner were both very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Definitely make a reservation before coming, even if it's same day.

We came during happy hour and it was such a great deal. I ordered the Sweet Like Peach Tree, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with the peach and ginger. Warm, crispy, and paired with Nutella and caramel. What really made the experience stand out though was our bartender, Manny. He was incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down, had such a great personality, and made the whole experience feel personal.
