Casa is amazing!! I myself do not keep Kosher, but as a celebration for work me and my company went to Casa for a birthday/holiday celebration. The food is amazing, staff is attentive and the bartender took time to show us how to make three different cocktails. Given that we had a large party, we had a specially curated menu of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Most of our appetizers were from the sushi menu which was on par with what you would be served at Nobu; immaculately served and prepared with fresh ingredients. We had a few different rolls as well as the crispy rice with tuna. Other appetizers, were the cauliflower, fire poppers and the short rib tacos. Myself I went with the salmon which was a VERY generous portion of fish served with pureed asparagus, coconut rice, and roasted carrots. Salmon was well seasoned and cooked, veggies were delicious. Other entree's ordered were the NY Strip and the Asian Kale Salad. Dessert was Molten Lava cake with Ice Cream, Churros, and chocolate mousse. All in all, Casa is a great place to have dinner and drinks either with a large party or a small group; regardless if you keep kosher or not. Good Food, is GOOD FOOD!

Casa is a hidden gem that I'd love to see continue to grow in popularity. It's a kosher restaurant with great energy and feel. The ambiance is very homey but also classy, so you feel very comfortable. It's great for business lunches, date nights, and family dinners. All the staff is friendly, service is consistent, food comes out quickly and at the highest quality - hence it being kosher certified. A mashgiach is always available to answer kosher questions, and you can tell a lot of effort goes into the entire menu. All of the drinks are crafted, made with love and intention, tasty and gorgeous. This restaurant makes much of its ingredients in house, including juices and sauces. The food is superb, and the portions are generous. The burgers and steaks are excellent, and the appetizers are outstanding. They also do private events, so you can have celebrations at Casa or Casa will come to you. What's also particularly cool is that Casa switches it's menu to accommodate the season, so you can always looks forward to fresh, exciting menu items. I definitely feel it is worth the money!

Clearly the glass had not been properly cleaned. I brought it to the bartender's attention and while she offered to remake the drink, there was no apology beyond that, no refund offer, and honestly no sense of urgency or concern about serving a dirty glass. By that point, I was completely put off and declined the replacement. I understand mistakes happen, but cleanliness at a bar should be the bare minimum, especially when it comes to drinkware. Unfortunately, this experience ruined the visit for me and I won't be returning.

I don't eat meat, but I NEEDED a grilled cheese and an order of onion rings just sounded like the right thing to do, so I did it. My oh my! What I got was the largest grilled cheese sandwich I've ever seen on what I think was brioche bread? It was very much the texture of a croissant and whoa....so tasty! The onion rings were very nice with thick sliced onions so the ratio of onion to batter was perfect. JLB obviously takes changing out the oil in their fryers seriously (as many places don't) because they were fresh and didn't taste like anything that had been deep-fried in the oil previously. This is a real issue for me. I don't want tortilla chips that smell and taste rancid, nor do I want churros that taste like tortilla chips that have been previously fried in the same rancid oil. I have an extremely sensitive olfactory sense, but it lends itself nicely to eating out at establishments that take the care and concern for cleanliness and their patrons. Speaking of cleanliness, JLB is spotless, although to the point the cleaning products smell overwhelm the entire small establishment. I immediately knew when I walked in that I couldn't eat there, but I'm sure glad I ordered to-go! My order was prepped and ready swiftly and too big to eat for just one person so I shared with my neighbor who is recovering from an injury. Literally, don't order a large onion rings if you don't have several people to share it with. Tee hee! Great Job JLB!

They offer affordably priced…read morefood (#1), simple and tasty casual fare, and keep it relatively flexible for all folks (dates, families, group dining, etc.) by providing excellent service, and a consistent experience every time. Similarly to their more popular location in Memorial (#2), this outside of this Bellaire spot doesn't immediately tell the full story. The interior has an industrial vibe, with the high ceilings and overhead fixtures, but as converted into a solid dining space. The large tilted mirrors in the main area are reminiscent of the now defunct Helen's (#3) and makes for a fun (or perhaps distracting) visual. The spacious layout allows breathing room for all kinds of groups. Service has been good overall, and prompt throughout every visit. The American bistro inspired menu has a decent amount of variety that spans from brunch to a tasty weeknight dinner and a drink. Their starters have a variety of tasty bites that include the white truffle eggs, wicked wings, prosciutto-melon burrata, Mama Pauley's meatballs, and a very addicting chipotle pimento cheese dip. While I appreciate the vegan-friendly hippie chickpea croquettes, it needed just a bit more seasoning. Their bacon double cheeseburger has been deemed "insta-famous" and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's juicy, a little messy, but a lot delicious. It paired well with their large cut fries (consider upgrading to the truffle fries), but the house made chips are also a good light bite. Their salads are equally fabulous from their classic caesar to a hearty cobb salad. I wasn't as impressed with the crunchy Asian salad, but thought their faro salad was a thumbs up. Understandably, the priciest meals are some of their grilled and house specialty meals, such as a prime tenderloin filet ($42), Mediterranean roasted redfish ($36), twelve hour ribs ($29), and rosemary-lemon chicken ($29), all of which are solid. I feel the buttermilk chicken tender platter ($19) is really meant for children, but is great for any tender lover in the bunch. Their weekly "features" are a series of daily specials that range from prime rib nights on Wednesdays and ribeyes on Thursdays, and "kids eat free" specials + their happy hour give folks plenty of reason to check it out. ___________ ( #1) Especially during their seasonal deals which can sometimes include steep discounts. We are from out of town for work and have driven by Bubbas everyday for the past 19 days. We had never seen more than 2-3 cars there and rarely saw anyone seated in the patio area. There is no inside seating. We tried Bubbas on a Sunday evening. Walked in and were not greeted by staff for at-least 3-3 minutes. There was no one else at the place eating or waiting on their order. The employees were just talking in the kitchen. They all saw us at the register 5' away. We ordered and were told they had no beef patties. Only Bison available. We ordered a Hotdog, 1 Bison Burger, 2 Bison Patty Melts, 2 onion rings, 2 cups of the "Famous Chili" and chili cheese fries. When the order was ready, we received 2 patty melts, hotdog, 1 onion ring and a chili cheese fry. We were missing 2 cups of chili, 1 onion ring, and Bison Burger. They employee was confused and couldnt figure out what was missing. We did finally receive 2 cups of "famous chili" but no bison burger and onion ring. We just ate what we had and figured the rest was a loss. Ok so this "famous chili" was NOT good at all! It was 100% spice/heat with NO flavor! It had no seasoning except spice! The chili cheese fries were ruined by the chili. The Bison Patty Melts were good. The Hotdog was good also, but after all its a hotdog. I am surprised Bubbas is rated this high. Maybe tonight was a bad night, but I will never know since I wont be back and do not recommend this place.
