The food here is delicious and the service is top-notch! I really enjoyed my meal, but I'm knocking off one star because the space is quite small. I felt a bit squished in during my visit, and we did have to wait for a table since it gets so crowded. If you don't mind a tight squeeze for a great breakfast, it's definitely worth it!

This is a TRUE HOLE IN THE WALL!! I loved this restaurant and I'm sooooo happy I found it! The food was extremely tasty and the service was on point. Portion sizes were also something that stood out. I was able to split my plate and have moreeee than enough. I'll def be back soon and I'm excited to try more items off of the menu!

This charming local restaurant offers a range of breakfast and dinner options, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere. Located in a plaza with various businesses, parking can be limited but is manageable. I visited on a busy Saturday morning for brunch and was impressed by the excellent service; the staff frequently checked in, refilling waters and ensuring we were well cared for. We ordered: * Belgian Waffle * Greek Omelette * Prime Ribeye * Steak and Egg Platter * Fresh squeezed Orange juice The food is classic diner fare--solid but not extraordinary. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The Orange juice was delicious!

I had the chilaquiles w/ fajita and my boyfriend had the breakfast special of the day.

Food was amazing, service was outstanding, nancy was our server and she was a breath of fresh air.Definitely deserving of clientele.

I come here all the time. I meet friends here. We go with our family here. The place is small and cozy. We have lots of choices, I love the crêpes, that breakfast tacos on weekends. We have wonderful omelettes and of course the waffles are amazing! They also have lunch and dinner. We had chicken piccata the other day that was great. This is a great place to come. That's not a chain restaurant so you were supporting a small business! It's always full of people from our neighborhood

This is a hole-in-wall kind of restaurant. There are sufficient seatings for families of four. But it will be difficult to accommodate a bigger group. This trip I had the Greek omelette with hash brown, and whole wheat bread slices, half of a French toast, and kid waffle. The Greek omelette was made using fresh ingredients. The feta cheese on top gave the saltiness for the whole dish. The hash brown was mediocre. The spicy sauce given helped to flavor the bland hash brown. The French toast tasted one-note. Seemed like the batter was just eggs only, with no sugar nor salt. The fruits given weren't fresh too. The waffle wasn't great. It wasn't crispy nor fluffy. It was way too crumbly. Service was great. But the food doesn't justify another visit.

I had breakfast here last week and it's located in a strip center with parking in front. Inside it has seating for about 40 people and is only open for breakfast and lunch (3 or 4 pm) depending on the day 7 days of the week. I was there for breakfast and ordered the Belgian Waffle for $9.50. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. It was a large and thick waffle with sliced strawberries, sliced bananas and whipped cream on top. A small container of maple syrup was on the plate too. The waffle was good tasting and filling as it hit the spot. This kind of a breakfast is fairly simple to make and kind of hard to screw up but to be fair I gave it a 4 score. My only complaint was that it took a long time for my waitress to bring me the check. There were 2 waitresses and they weren't that busy so I don't know why it took 10 minutes for her to bring me the bill. I would consider returning here for more breakfast or for one of the lunch burgers/sandwiches. This restaurant has a nice neighborhood feel and seems to be a locals favorite.

My friend miss reading a stores hours led us to this find. I didn't know what we were getting into since this isn't our usually area. We really enjoyed it though. Great portions for the cost. I would like my hash browns crisper the next time. The omelette was great though. The menu was diverse. It included more Mexican choices than I expected going into it. I liked that I could get either. The waffles looked great. You could add even a half one. The service was quick. Simple place over all. Nothing too fancy. I feel it would be good to go or eat there. For a Saturday morning not too busy which was nice to get in and out.

This place was a surprise. Service: This a great small spot if you are looking for something local and nice for the community. Space is limited and you have to seat yourself. Helps that service is bilingual to assist customers. Was greeted with a smile and service was speedy as well. With limited staff, they were assisting as they were a large staff. Staff was willing to assist with any questions I may have and continuously stop by your table to ask if everything is okay or do you need anything else. The only fail from the service was not advising you on the upcharge for particular items. Example: I wanted fries instead of hash browns for my meal. There was a .99 upcharge for the fries. Food: There is a great selection of food. Everything on the menu is served all day. Everything is easy to see and read on the menu and everything is definitely cook to order. I order the western omelette with a side of hash browns and pancakes. Their omelets are almost crepe style with the eggs being very thin and not fluffy like majority omelettes. Overall: I would recommend this establishment if you were looking for something local and just cozy for a small family or friend. Parking can be a little challenge, but you should be able to get in and out fairly easily. Great service and overall homegrown restaurant.

Really good little grease spoon place! Everything was good and the kids loved it! There is limited seating but the inside is very clean and welcoming. Service was great and friendly. The food was on point and delicious. Definitely will be back.

Recently she had an afternoon appointment and I was able to swing by and join her. When her appointments were completed, it was in the beginning of peak traffic time, so we decided to walk over to DS and have a bite to eat and catch up This space is so open as well as cozy. Soon as you enter, you head straight to the counter to order. From there, you're given a number and choose your seat. Booth and table options are available. On a Thursday afternoon, the place wasn't busy but not empty, which gave my Mom and I the opportunity to catch up without a noisy dining room. The food came out fresh and hot and for the price, we were surprised by the portion since its was the $10 HH burger and fries. The fountain drinks were interesring as well. DS does not have Coke or Pepsi products. They have similiar flavors you would find with those brands. I enjoyed the Mexican Coke. It seemed to not be as fizzy aa your own well know caffenated Compadres but still carried a great flavor. Let me not skip over the dessert! Mom LOVED the pecan pie which she states had whole pecans instead of pieces. I did not wven notice that she had been getting pieces of the pie as we talked. Half of it was gone when we left. That means is pretty scrumptous! I had enough willpower to eat my chocolate chip cookie when I got home and it was worth the wait! Not only is the cookie huge, but the semi sweet chocolate and sea salt is chef's kiss. Grat combo of both worlds. Combine that with the crunchy outisude and chewy, gooey interior and this is one of the best cookies I've tasted in a long time. So glad to dish all this goodness to Yelpers and remind them of another gem in West U that will not only give you a great place to get a bite but satisfy that sweet tooth.

I stopped by with my buddy on a Thursday evening close to 9 p.m. Free parking was a cinch in the parking lot they share with several other businesses. Service (4.5/5): You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. The lady who brought me my food checked on me twice and was super nice. She called me "sweetheart," a little Southern hospitality goes a long way. Ambiance (4/5): Modern, clean, and comfortable. In line with other Dish Society locations I've been to. We sat at a booth/table combo. Drinks (4.5/5): I love when a restaurant has more than your standard selection of soft drinks. You'll find that at Dish Society. They have "craft" sodas and a nice selection of juice blends. Plus sweet and unsweet tea. Food (4/5): I went with a cup of the tomato bisque soup and the Nutella French toast. The soup tasted as good as it looked. Some croutons or a piece of garlic bread would have been nice, but outside of that, this starter couldn't have been better. The Nutella French Toast was similarly well done. I love French Toast and I love Nutella. So this was a match made in heaven. Along with some sliced strawberries and some blackberries, I was happy I went with a breakfast dish for dinner (they serve brunch all day). The prices are affordable for the quality of the food. My only complaint? The portion sizes are pretty small. Case in point: two slices of French toast when most places will give you four. Pro tip: Join their club for discounts.

Portions are large/filling and we felt the food was delicious and a good value for money. When we arrived the line was long and menus were not available so we had to search for the menu on the website to avoid deciding at the counter and holding up the people behind us. After ordering, tables were cleaned consistently and service was friendly. Only feedback about seating was outside parties would take chairs from other tables and leave them with no seating and not all tables we're shaded. The drinks being available at the bar when it is busy and then food being delivered to the table was a bit clunky. I picked up water and utensils for our party before sitting and would have preferred to have to pick everything up at the counter or have everything brought to the table to avoid multiple trips around when the restaurant is busy.

Similarly to their more popular location in Memorial (#2), this outside of this Bellaire spot doesn't immediately tell the full story. The interior has an industrial vibe, with the high ceilings and overhead fixtures, but as converted into a solid dining space. The large tilted mirrors in the main area are reminiscent of the now defunct Helen's (#3) and makes for a fun (or perhaps distracting) visual. The spacious layout allows breathing room for all kinds of groups. Service has been good overall, and prompt throughout every visit. The American bistro inspired menu has a decent amount of variety that spans from brunch to a tasty weeknight dinner and a drink. Their starters have a variety of tasty bites that include the white truffle eggs, wicked wings, prosciutto-melon burrata, Mama Pauley's meatballs, and a very addicting chipotle pimento cheese dip. While I appreciate the vegan-friendly hippie chickpea croquettes, it needed just a bit more seasoning. Their bacon double cheeseburger has been deemed "insta-famous" and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's juicy, a little messy, but a lot delicious. It paired well with their large cut fries (consider upgrading to the truffle fries), but the house made chips are also a good light bite. Their salads are equally fabulous from their classic caesar to a hearty cobb salad. I wasn't as impressed with the crunchy Asian salad, but thought their faro salad was a thumbs up. Understandably, the priciest meals are some of their grilled and house specialty meals, such as a prime tenderloin filet ($42), Mediterranean roasted redfish ($36), twelve hour ribs ($29), and rosemary-lemon chicken ($29), all of which are solid. I feel the buttermilk chicken tender platter ($19) is really meant for children, but is great for any tender lover in the bunch. Their weekly "features" are a series of daily specials that range from prime rib nights on Wednesdays and ribeyes on Thursdays, and "kids eat free" specials + their happy hour give folks plenty of reason to check it out. ___________ ( #1) Especially during their seasonal deals which can sometimes include steep discounts.
