Has been some time since visiting the original Lankford so good to see their Bellaire location. On a Monday night, too quiet around 7:30. I suspect it was due to the Texans playoff game. Ample indoor with mixed seating including booths as well outdoor seating. Newer so different from the rustic feel of the original location. They had a Monday combo special (hamburger/cheeseburger) which included fries and drink but we were interested in the Specialty Burgers. We ordered the Firehouse Burger (with habanero mayo on the side), Bellaire and Midtown Burger. I remember having the Firehouse Burger and how spicy it was with the Habanero mayo, so good to get it on the side. We ordered the Burgers medium and they came out as ordered. The patties were tasty and a good size. Also, have the option to order the Burger flame grilled which is a nice touch. The Midtown with the crunchy onion ring didn't disappoint and the grilled jalapeños and Bacon jam took the Bellaire Burger over the top! Service was friendly and engaged. They have a self pour Beer Wall which is a nice addition, breakfast menu also looked really good-next time. A different vibe from the original location while matching the Burger deliciousness!

If you're craving a burger that seriously delivers, the Grim Reaper is a must-try. This burger was loaded and flavorful -- mac & cheese, jalapeños, bacon, cheddar cheese, comes with a sunny-side-up egg (i substituted it for a fried egg), all topped with habanero mustard and cayenne butter. Spicy, rich, and absolutely worth it. I started with the fried pickle appetizer, which came out hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned a great way to kick things off. For something sweet, the apple pie milkshake was chef's kiss. Creamy, nostalgic, and tasted just like dessert in a cup. Can't forget the side of fries golden, crispy, and the perfect companion to an already indulgent meal. Great food, solid portions, and a fun, casual vibe with great customer service. Definitely a spot I'll be back to.

We ordered the Houston burger. Hou would be great, but as yall see, "hoe" was wrote.

We walked in at approximately 1:15pm. We've went to a different location previously and wanted to enjoy their food. I ordered the 3B and my wife ordered the Houston . Our food arrived. My label said "3B", and to our appaul, my wife's burger said "hoe", not "hou" like they tried to initially pass off. The cashier admitted that thw letter looked like an "e". I told her that was the word hoe and the lady at the counter also agree it looked like hoe. It was at the Bissonnet location. This is completely unacceptable

I asked for no tomatoes due to allergies to them ! The store manger told staff not to remake it!! I hope he likes the lawsuit!! And my receipt that I have showing no tomatoes on a burger!!

First time coming here & honestly I don't know if it was because they were about to close or what but our food portions weren't all that for what we paid for. I could tell that my wings were the frozen ones. We ordered curly fries & although they were good, the portion size of them wasn't. For $4 each basket too! I do say, the restrooms were very nice & clean! The restaurant does have a nice oldies touch, it was nice too. I would say to better on the portion sizes if they're going to up their charge.

Our hunger pangs for burgers drove us to Lankford's. What an awesome decision that we made. We were greeted upon arrival and we proceeded to order the following items: South of the border 5/5. The burger was absolutely delicious. Half pound juicy patty in a brioche bun with all the fixings. There was a slice of avocado in it too. Mushroom Swiss 5/5. Another juicy half pound patty with the sautéed onions and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. Also ordered some fries. Golden, crisp. Ambiance was chill. Good music playing. Plenty of seating. Service was very good also. Order at counter . Food is brought to the table. The employees working were very friendly and courteous. Ashley n Trace. Thanks again. We will be back soon.

Lettuce wrap cheeseburger was so delicious! You don't need a bun when the flavor of the meat is so good!

Excellent service! The food is always hot and fresh! We both had cheeseburgers and onion rings! I got the lettuce wrap instead of bun. They are always very accommodating. Great music is always playing! Come on in and give them a try today!

This was my first visit and it was awesome! Customer service is unmatched, drinks are delicious, and food was fresh and flavorful. There are also a host of options for dessert as well. I captured a picture of our appetizers (fried green tomatoes and queso fries), but we also ordered the sweet chili wings, veggie quesadillas, fish sandwich, and curly fries. We indulged in the self-pour beer wall, the cherry limeade, and old-fashioned as well! Robert, Dakota, and Kasey were wonderful. They definitely made our experience enjoyable. We will definitely be back soon!

I have visited the original Lankford's several times over the years. Ever since they hit their TV fame. Their newest location, in Bellaire, has the same food but it's a little different. We'll talk about that soon. I stopped by on a Monday evening for dinner and parked in their complimentary lot without any issues. Ambiance (3.5/5): Unlike the original location, which is a little cramped, this one is more spacious. There's table seating and booth seating. And they have TVs showing sports games including Monday Night Football while I was there. The downside? They close at 9 p.m. which is way too early, especially when Monday Night Football isn't even over when you close down. We sat at a table with a good view of one of the TVs. Service (3.5/5): Pretty non-existent. You order your food at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Drinks (4/5): One of the few places in town that I know that has a self-service beer wall. Pick up a bracelet with the cashier, and then pour whatever beers you want to your heart's content. Most of the beers are local craft brews. While it's a cool concept, it does tend to get a bit pricey. Food (3/5): While there's more on the menu, they're known for their burgers so that's what I would recommend. I went with the pimento cheese burger with queso fries. You know a burger joint is undelivering when their fries shine more than their burgers do. That's what happened here. While the burger wasn't bad, it was a little lackluster. The burger patty was missing the ooze or char you want to see. The pimento cheese was a nice touch and not something you find often in this part of the country. The bread, while fresh, was a little too big for the patty. The fries, on the other hand, chef's kiss. Crisp, fresh-cut, well-seasoned. Exactly what I was looking for. And these cheese on top is always a good idea because throw cheese on anything and it's better. If you're looking for a casual spot to grab some burgers and brews, Lankford's is a good spot. Just make sure to get their early enough!

First time here. We decided to give it a try once we saw a video that Guy from food network gave this place a try and wanted to try the spicy burger ourselves. I loved it!! The place is very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and patient with us, helped us with ordering the tab on the walls you can choose from different beers. The food was great. The spicy burger we came for tasted good but it wasn't as spicy as u thought it would be. Overall it was great and recommend.

5 onion rings for $5.75 and very little/thin onion
    Amanda B.

1/2 -- 3.5/5 Burger tasted good, but I requested medium (out of five doneness options!) and it definitely came back well done Burger was over $15, and a side of 5 onion rings cost more than $5 Onion rings were mostly batter -- super thin onions that got lost in the fry This was a takeout order, so can't speak to the dine-in experience or service Portion sizes didn't match the price point ‍ Would I return? Probably not -- not a bad burger, just not worth the price

SOB burger, bacon cheeseburger, kids meal. Oreo shakes.

Recently she had an afternoon appointment and I was able to swing by and join her. When her appointments were completed, it was in the beginning of peak traffic time, so we decided to walk over to DS and have a bite to eat and catch up This space is so open as well as cozy. Soon as you enter, you head straight to the counter to order. From there, you're given a number and choose your seat. Booth and table options are available. On a Thursday afternoon, the place wasn't busy but not empty, which gave my Mom and I the opportunity to catch up without a noisy dining room. The food came out fresh and hot and for the price, we were surprised by the portion since its was the $10 HH burger and fries. The fountain drinks were interesring as well. DS does not have Coke or Pepsi products. They have similiar flavors you would find with those brands. I enjoyed the Mexican Coke. It seemed to not be as fizzy aa your own well know caffenated Compadres but still carried a great flavor. Let me not skip over the dessert! Mom LOVED the pecan pie which she states had whole pecans instead of pieces. I did not wven notice that she had been getting pieces of the pie as we talked. Half of it was gone when we left. That means is pretty scrumptous! I had enough willpower to eat my chocolate chip cookie when I got home and it was worth the wait! Not only is the cookie huge, but the semi sweet chocolate and sea salt is chef's kiss. Grat combo of both worlds. Combine that with the crunchy outisude and chewy, gooey interior and this is one of the best cookies I've tasted in a long time. So glad to dish all this goodness to Yelpers and remind them of another gem in West U that will not only give you a great place to get a bite but satisfy that sweet tooth.

The interior has an industrial vibe, with the high ceilings and overhead fixtures, but as converted into a solid dining space. The large tilted mirrors in the main area are reminiscent of the now defunct Helen's (#3) and makes for a fun (or perhaps distracting) visual. The spacious layout allows breathing room for all kinds of groups. Service has been good overall, and prompt throughout every visit. The American bistro inspired menu has a decent amount of variety that spans from brunch to a tasty weeknight dinner and a drink. Their starters have a variety of tasty bites that include the white truffle eggs, wicked wings, prosciutto-melon burrata, Mama Pauley's meatballs, and a very addicting chipotle pimento cheese dip. While I appreciate the vegan-friendly hippie chickpea croquettes, it needed just a bit more seasoning. Their bacon double cheeseburger has been deemed "insta-famous" and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's juicy, a little messy, but a lot delicious. It paired well with their large cut fries (consider upgrading to the truffle fries), but the house made chips are also a good light bite. Their salads are equally fabulous from their classic caesar to a hearty cobb salad. I wasn't as impressed with the crunchy Asian salad, but thought their faro salad was a thumbs up. Understandably, the priciest meals are some of their grilled and house specialty meals, such as a prime tenderloin filet ($42), Mediterranean roasted redfish ($36), twelve hour ribs ($29), and rosemary-lemon chicken ($29), all of which are solid. I feel the buttermilk chicken tender platter ($19) is really meant for children, but is great for any tender lover in the bunch. My only caveat is that I've never been here without having to wait in a long line to order. It's popular for a reason though. The lush garden makes for a great patio ambiance when the weather isn't too hot. Food wise, I'm a fan of their burger, crab cakes, house chopped salad, and you can't come here without getting their famous chocolate chip cookies. I honestly wouldn't judge anyone who comes here just for cocktails, good vibes, and chocolate chip cookies. They are always warm, gooey, and the right amount of chocolate chips. Cheers!

I convinced some friends who had never been, that while it may be pricey- it is one of the best places to get a home made biscuit and be amongst the greenery! Little did I know- THE BISCUITS ARE NOW FROZEN. F R O Z E N. B I S C U I T S. Whoever is responsible for this needs to be arrested. I was heartbroken and embarrassed. I won't be going back for the overpriced salad and sad biscuits and I will be warning everyone I know about the travesty that has happened at this once reputable establishment. It's still fine don't get me wrong, but there are so many other options I will be recommending where the quality matches the price. Whoever did this better leave Tinys milk and cookies alone.

Easy to go when app is working and there's rewards Areas to improve 1. There is a 5% included to go fee just FYI 2. This mashed potato here is very bland and salty compared to San Felipe location. We could not finish our individual servings and did not even give it to the dogs today. It tasted like the dry flakes you buy at the supermarket and mix with milk and the texture was not right. 3. Very boring and bland cheeseburger, very forgettable. The patty was very slim. 4. Helpful to have quality control with the two restaurants, it acts like two different restaurants even though menu is the same! Also I just saw the health report listed. 5. Salmon was raw in the middle when we asked for medium well. 6. Not sure we will eat the chicken and green beans for tomorrow... I prefer their San Felipe location of which I am a regular patron, and came here due to Galleria construction, but given today's very bland or salty food, which was not satisfying at all, I must head back there. This was the worse to go and pick up experience I can think of in a while. My order was $100 plus today for several meals...
