    Pollo Milanese

Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. Luckily we were able to find a table. Very casual Italian spot that offers an array of specialty sandwiches, pastas, Roman-styled flatbreads and salads. Pollo Milanese - 8/10 Chicken cutlet was not dry. Together with the mozzarella cheese, heirloom tomatoes, lettuce and spice mayo was a great combo. I really enjoyed the bread, which was lightly toasted and airy on the inside. The portion is huge so you can definitely share. Bolognese - 7.5/10 Pasta was cooked perfectly but we felt that it was lacking a bit of flavor. Wish we came with more people so we could try more dishes but that just means we will have to come back.

A great casual Italian cafe in River Oaks, perfect for a relaxed meal. We stopped by for dinner on the weekend. The ordering process is simple, order at the counter first then find your own seat. Indoor seating is fairly limited, but we were lucky enough to find a table inside. The menu focuses on sandwiches, pizza and pasta. They also have plenty options on cocktails, and wines. We ordered the Tartufo, the Pollo Milanese (with added pesto) and the Cotto & Crudo pizza. The bread and pizza dough are both excellent. The ingredients tasted high quality, and the portions were generous. The cocktails were refreshing and paired well with the meal. Overall, everything was delicious, I'd come back to try the pastas and more of the menu another day.

I had heard good things about this place and finally got to try it out for myself. I met a friend on a weekday afternoon, and we were worried about seating as we stood in line. The space inside is smaller than I thought, with small tables and a beautiful large high top made of wood. Fortunately, there's plenty of patio seating outside and large fans and shade to keep you cool. Inside or outside, it has a cozy and relaxed feel. I ordered the Pollo Milanese sandwich, a chicken cutlet with heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and lettuce, but I substituted the spicy mayo with sun-dried tomato pesto. My friend ordered the bolognese and pistachio cheesecake. My sandwich was big enough that I shared one half with my friend, and still took the other half home for later. The chicken was juicy, bread fresh and crispy outside, and soft on the inside, veggies fresh. I tried a bite of her bolognese which was equally delicious and the cheesecake not too sweet and full of pistachio cream. The service was pleasant and they provided recommendations and I will surely be back again! The pastries looked too good in the case and have to try them next time!

Loved this place! I got the nonna sandwich and the tartufo pasta to share and both really impressed me. The ingredients it in the nonna were so fresh and I really enjoyed the grilled zucchini and pistachio cream inside. The mortadella was also freshly cut in the open kitchen and the bread was warm and crispy on the outside with a soft and fluffy inside. This sandwich exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to come back to try more. (8.9/10) The tartufo pasta was so rich and creamy and I loved the texture of the tortellini. As someone who doesn't typically gravitate towards pasta I really loved the flavor of this one. Some of the best truffle sauce I've ever had. (9/10) I parked in the shared lot of the shopping center and there is some street parking nearby as well. It is a bit of a small lot, so just be mindful of that. The service was super quick and the staff were super sweet and attentive. Will be back here soon!

Wow! The food here is AMAZING. I had the best pasta bolognese. The noodles, meat ragu, and parm were absolutely delicious. The pistachio cheesecake was devineeee. So creamy and delicious. I had a watermelon margarita and it was so light and refreshing. Service was excellent and the ambiance was vibrant, yet cozy. I can't wait to bring my family here.

This place is nothing short of amazing! It gives off cute little Italian shop vibes. You order at the counter, desserts and drinks are self-serve, and the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. I ordered the Cotto & Crudo pizza and the Pollo Milanese sandwich, and honestly, I can't say which I liked more. I finished the sandwich at the restaurant because I knew it just wouldn't hit the same as leftovers. The chicken was THICC. And why is it that a good heirloom tomato can absolutely make a sandwich? Because this one did. Add in the spicy mayo, melted cheese, and super thick yet airy focaccia, and it was a solid 10/10. Now for the pizza- it was fantastic at the restaurant and somehow just as good the next day. The mortadella is a nice, mellow complement to the obvious star of the show (in my opinion): the pistachio cream. Also 10/10.

Sandwiches are huge and good!! Cute Italian rustic design with a very nice outdoor patio. It really feels and looks like you are stepping into Italy. Service is great. I ordered the Pollo Milanese Panuozzo and it was worth the price. It could easily feed 2 people and it would so good. Bread was fresh and chicken was crispy, all ingredients were a perfect combination and so fresh.

Cotto E Crudo Enoteca is what I imagine a cafe in Italy is like. My friends and I decided to have dinner before an event here. It was a random weekday and the place was bustling. It is located right outside River Oaks off Westheimer. The shopping strip stays busy so parking can be hard to find in the lot, but there is a garage as well as street parking nearby. The inside of the restaurant isn't very big and seating is pretty limited, but they do have a nice patio on the side. Customer service was ok. When it was my time to order, I had a few simple questions about the drinks and food which never really got answered because the cashier didn't know the menu well. She was nice though. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich which is why this place caught my attention. Their signature items are the panuozzos, which is a traditional Italian sandwich. They take pizza dough, bake it, and slice it horizontally which turns out to be a great vessel for sandwiches. I'm blessed with friends that like to order different things and then we all share and sample. For the sandwiches, we had the Crudo (prosciutto sandwich), Nonna (mortadella sandwich), and the Pollo Milanese (chicken cutlet). The sandwiches are pretty big so pack an appetite when coming here. I can honestly say I liked each sandwich. They all had different toppings which made each one unique in its one way. The standout was the Pollo Milanese though. This sandwich was so delicious. The cutlet itself was seasoned and fried to perfection. It was topped with quality mozzarella, spicy mayo, and lettuce and tomatoes. It was a perfect balance of ingredients. It might be one of the best sandwiches in Houston! I also tried a piece of one of the pizzas as well as Cacio & Pepe ball. Both were excellent. I washed it down with a Aperol Spritz which was made well. They also have all kinds of baked goods as well as a gelato freezer. I'll come back for those with some coffee. This place was great and overall a great dinner spot. I will most definitely be back!

What a lovely establishment! The restaurant is very charming and cozy inside with less than 10 tables but there's a nice outdoor area with more tables. I like how there are a lot of natural elements in the decor. Staff were welcoming and helpful. You order at the register, grab the number they give you, then a staff brings out the food to your table. I ordered the Bufalina, which is a vegetarian sandwich with tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil pesto, and baby arugula. The rustic bread tasted very fresh with a tender, chewy interior and a golden crusted exterior. The sandwich was delicious! I would certainly order It again. I also ordered a pasta dish, the Tartufo, which is cheese tortellini in creamy truffle sauce. It was very cheesy and fairly good but I would definitely choose the sandwich over the pasta. I also really like the Blood Orange Italian soda. It was very light and refreshing. Mmmm! I love that this establishment is locally owned and operated. Can't wait to go back and try their pizzas and pastries.

The sandwich itself was good but very underwhelming. I felt like this was something that I could've made myself. It did taste fresh, but it just was not worth the price. I feel like it was an overpriced sandwich. It was packed so I think that they probably have other better options that you could try I'm assuming their pastas would be better. I think I just didn't like that. It was a $20 sandwich that didn't fill me up.

Kale apple burrata salad ($17)-- balsamic honey dressing, walnuts. Didn't see any cinnamon sautéed apples as described but still delicious

Step into this cozy and cute cafe and Italian music will serenade you as your eyes wander over the pastries in the display case and the menu of several sandwich, pizza, pasta, and salad options. Fun fact of the day: a panuozzo is a sandwich made of pizza dough, and that's how they do it here too! The result is a crispy shelled bread with a soft and chewy interior-- a dream to layer on topping and devour :D ** Apple walnut burrata kale salad (5/5)-- despite lacking the sautéed cinnamon apples advertised in the description (the fresh ones were still yummy!), this salad was still madly delicious! Baby kale massaged in balsamic vinaigrette was topped with creamy burrata, making each bite a balance of acidic, sweet, and creamy. Definitely a good pick for burrata fans-- mmm, so good! We used the pieces of bread to sop up the sauces of our other dishes :) ** Vodka pasta (4/5)-- a simple but well executed dish with mezze maniche or a wider, shorter version of rigatoni. The sauce was creamy and flavorful and studded with pieces of flavorful, salty pancetta. It was served hot :) ** Maialino panuozzo (4.5/5)-- the bread was so delicious, as it was chewy and airy and held up well against the toppings. The porchetta was meaty, and I couldn't really discern the crispy eggplant or taste the spicy mayo, but I loved it; the overall flavor was mild and not too salty. MT thought it was too mild and said next time we would order something heavier sounding like the truffle sandwich. But he still enjoyed it, and I thought it was the best sandwich I've had in recent memory! Ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. :) ** Arancini (4/5)-- this fried risotto ball was dressed up and heated before served to us at the table. It's rich, hot, and creamy! Not much ragu or meat in the middle (more so cheesy rice), but it came topped with meat sauce. I'm not an expert, but these were really big and tasty to share. The man at the counter was very friendly and thanked us for coming. It was heart-warming to see him excitedly speaking Italian to an elderly couple walking in too. Definitely bring a jacket for cold windy days as there's a draft inside and it gets chilly whenever the doors open. Cotto E Crudo is going to be a hit in warmer months-- excited to return and try more of the menu!

Hi yall, The food was great. Loved sitting outside and had great vibes. The pasta was super fresh and simple and the pizza had great crust and amazing flavor. Definitely a must for a quick vibey dinner. Only problem was the service. It took a bit too long for our drinks to come out. Pasta was also kind of cold, but still pretty quick regardless I understand that the place is new and I'm sure they'll improve, but it was my only problem. Best, Bob B.

the Pollo Milanese was soo delicious, very crispy and flavorful, a bit on the pricier side but the sandwich was very worth it. food came out quickly and the coffee was good and strong, will definitely recommend for the beautiful scene and delicious sandwich!!

I was hoping to see the DJ as they appear to have a good nightly line up but they were having a private party that night on the other side so the the DJ was only heard when the private room door opened. Otherwise they had a good Deep House mix going in the background. I forgot they the bartenders name, but he was attentive and whipped up some good ones. I started off with a Classic Gibson. You can go wrong here, but he made it perfectly balanced with the onion juice. I also added some spicy Blue Cheese Olives on the side which were unique and tasty. My guest had the fun drinks; Space Moon- the bartender described it as a balanced PB&J. It was just that!! Bourbon with a hint of sweet with some bitter from the Campari on the back end. Then topped off with a little PB&J cookie. The second drink was some Peach drink- I forgot the name- but it was also a whiskey drink topped with a peach gummy candy. The drinks sound sweet but they are perfectly balanced. Everything was perfect, we'll be back for round 2 soon.
