I've never had nothing but excellent food, service & a pleasant experience with this establishment. The ambiance has always been pleasant as well. Ive eaten at two locations and I could not tell the difference as far as the food, service & ambience are concerned. read more

Jax Grill, in Bellaire, has the best seafood. My wife, and I, go there every week. The have the best Grilled Trout. The way they prepare this meal has spices that are great. Sometimes, they have a Pecan-Crusted Trout that is to die for. My last Pecan-Crusted Trout almost was as big as the dinner plate. It was "Absolutely fabulous"! My wife gets the Ceasar salad with grilled Salmon on top. She says it is the best salad and orders it every week. OH, and Happy Independence Day, USA! read more

Second visit in last two months. Used to be one of my "go to" places... now it's AVOID! Food has really fallen. The chicken is damn near inedible. They should raise their prices a dollar or two and buy decent meat. read more

First time. No hurry to return. My $11.95 Jax burger was a disappointment. A plain bun and a well-done patty. Nothing added - no Jax Spice, Jax Sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions. Lots of fries, however. Also, $3.99 for a soft drink seems high. read more

I ordered thru the phone for pickup. I came and paid in cash. They charged me a delivery fee; I paid cash so the credit card fee bs wouldn't cut it either. What a joke, food was pretty mid too. read more

Stopped by Jax Grill for a quick lunch and saw their new Scooby-Doo kids menu--so fun! "Scooby Snacks Chicken Tenders" and "Mystery Machine Mac & Cheese" had me wishing I ordered off the kids menu. Perfect spot for families, but still fast and delicious for a workday bite. Love the playful vibe! read more

Holy Cow Batman! I'm looking over my receipt while waiting for my Togo order which lately is never right no matter where you order and see I've been charged a 5% "delivery fee" for take out! Really? So it costs more for a styrofoam container and a paper bag than for wages to bus a table and wash dishes? 5%? There a way too places to buy $15 hamburger that do not charge extra to take out to return! read more

While I do love Jax and have eaten here for probably a decade mistakes do occur. I'm not as disgusted as some but having a really long black cooked into my burger when I have short brown hair is kinda gross. The lady at the register immediately took it away and apologized. Mistakes may occur but it's great when a business rights a wrong professionally and without debate! read more

Jax Grill - Hair coming out the burger - Burgers Near Me - Bellaire, Texas

The Bellaire location has none of the ambience of the large location near the Heights that has dancing and live music. It's just a restaurant. Simple order at the cash and then pick up when they call you. The burgers are reliably great, especially the West Texas burger, and the fajita salad is a standard for my spouse. Fried foods are iffy - sometimes great hot and fresh, sometimes crusty and room temp. It's a good deal for the price, fast and has a variety for everyone, including veggie burgers. Good place to bring kids because it's noisy, concrete floor so messes are easily cleaned, and they have video games. read more

Stopped by for a pre-movie burger dinner ! I got a Jax Burger with cheese. It was so good and juicy! I opted for hush puppies as my side and was disappointed. Lacked flavor. Didn't taste like anything. The fries were neither bad nor good. Nothing to write home about. For dessert we had an amazing bread pudding. I would come back just for that! read more

The food was a lot better than I thought. The Onion Rings were crispy and flavorful, and the portion was large.

Very good place love it every time I go I started my new job less then 5 minutes away and I go at least 4-5 times a week and the food has never disappointed anyone at my job read more

This spot is such a Bellaire staple. I have so many memories eating here while attending BHS. I came here with my cousin the other day for lunch. She got the burger and I got the tenders. My go to things here are the tenders, caesar salad, nachos, and loaded fries. Their menu covers all the diner classics from burgers to salads. The food here is portioned on the larger (TX) size and all cooked/prepped fresh right after you order. Parking here can be tight (the parking lot literally is tiny) so I would come before lunch/dinner rush. read more

This place was hopping for lunch today! We split an original Jax burger and Buffalo wings. We requested extra crispy on the fries and the wings and they definitely delivered! The wing sauce definitely had a kick and the fries were well seasoned. The brioche bun was delicious and the meat was a tad on the dry side but overall had good flavor. We almost got up charged for extra burger ingredients but luckily we kept an eye on the register. We ate outside which was enjoyable! The food came out quickly and the prices are reasonable. The workers there seemed a little low energy/ perhaps overworked though. They need some love, go check them out and tell them they're doing an great job!! read more

Food is good. Prices are okay. Some menu items need to be there always and not as a special. Bring in a baked potato

This place had a cool atmosphere. You order your food at the counter and they give you a buzzer for when it is ready. I had the JAX salad and it was really good! Good size too. I was full. I would definitely come back. read more

I got the hot chicken sandwich.. let's just sauce overload. It was almost to the point where I couldn't eat it because it was so messy. It's not a traditional hot chicken sandwich it's just chicken with a shit ton of buffalo sauce. I won't be ordering that again but I'm not opposed to finding something else on the menu since they do have a good variety. Service was quick and employees were nice. read more

No matter what you order at Jax, it is all so good. From the hamburgers, steaks, fried fish, chicken fried steak, baked potatoes, they are all so delicious. The price is so reasonable. Refill drinks are free. Also has free parking. Seems to be a safe restaurant. Sometimes has police officers and firemen eating on site. read more

My food was yummy and very flavorful. I got the grilled chicken with pico and Monterrey Jack cheese, rice pilaf and a baked potato for my sides. The chicken breast was tender and cooked to perfection. The baked potato was great, and the rice pilaf had just the right amount of flavor. My hubby got the fried catfish and it was jumbo and didn't even really fit in the plate but he gave it a 6 out of ten for flavor. My kiddo got the chicken tenders and fries with ranch and she enjoyed it. We ordered through door dash and all my special requests were honored from the restaurant. Surprisingly the food was warm even though door dash took an hour to deliver after they picked it up. read more

Eat there at least 4 times a month usually a good place today tried a different side and ordered Mac and cheese. Wtf Jax. This is Kraft out of a box. I know because I lived on it in college. Had such a pleasant experience here today! From my understanding, this Jax Grill recently underwent some renovations and was closed for some time. My boyfriend and I visited today after missing Jax for months. Upon walking in, we could tell this was a new and improved restaurant! The decor inside and their technology all got a much needed "face lift", from a bright, easy-to-read digital menu, to beautifully remodeled booths. We were ecstatic with the new energy of the entire place. Ordered a Jax cheeseburger, chicken fried chicken, and their green chile queso with chips. Everything was more delicious than I remembered, and I'm so excited to return. Towards the end of our meal, we had to notify the staff of a minor leak from rain that had suddenly come in, and the manager was so apologetic and genuine when he approached us. We weren't upset at all, but he gifted us a complimentary slice of their Strawberry Tres Leches cheesecake (so light and fluffy!!) as a kind gesture. Thank you Jax Grill for the great experience and wonderful food. We'll be back!! read more

Awesome awesome awesome job!!!!! We took a group of people out for administrative assistant day and man they were tough. The manager did an outstanding job of correcting orders and service with a smile. He even went and brought bread to make a patty melt because something happened with their bread delivery if that isn't customer service I don't know what is! Kudos to this location and the individuals that work there. Customer service is hard but they did an outstanding job! I highly recommend this place read more

A decent local burger spot, with a good selection of local beers. The prices are reasonable, and service was quick. That said, there are definitely better burgers in the area at the same price. If you're interested in giving them a try, go for it, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way if you've already got a place you like. read more

Great food! The service was excellent! I went on a Thursday evening it was less than 20 people inside the restaurant however I opted to sit outside. The food was fresh and hot! I have eaten at this location 3 times since they remodeled it and the food has been consistently good. This last time, a gentleman named Marshal handled my phone and takeout order with an overall positive attitude. While waiting in line I noticed his excellent customer service skills with the other customers ahead of me. He was kind, helpful, and made my experience exemplary. I will return to Jax again. read more

Good American comfort food with reasonable prices. Parking is kind of inconvenient because it's on the side of a huge road and the lot is one way, but there are plenty of spaces nearby. I got the chicken quesadillas at around $10 and the portion was pretty generous. Flavor was good as there was bacon and pico in the quesadillas. Order your food at the counter and they call your number and give it to you. Jax is a great neighborhood restaurant and I enjoy it every time I come here. read more

I ordered the southwest egg roll. Was very tasty. Flavorful. Was so good I was wishing the portion was a lil bigger. Served on a bed of browning lettuce... could've been from the heat of the egg rolls. Because they were served up hot & freshly fried. I haven't ordered anything else from here, but they are always packed... so that def says something. read more

This place has been around for a while. Flavor is casual Texas must haves and comfort food, all with large portion sizes. My top favorites are: Burgers: Come plain, and you need to add whatever you want.. e.g Bacon, Cheese, Mushrooms.. Fried Chicken Strips (Bellaire Basket): Good size tenders and fries. Grilled Catfish: Nicely grilled with rice and veggies. French Fries: Lightly seasoned with cajun spices. Ask for a side of gravy! Onion Rings: Giant onion rings.. Tasty, but a little pricy ($3.95 for 8) Mesquite Fajita Salad: I know right! The food has been pretty consistent for as long as I remember. Portion size feels like its shrunk a little bit tho. They have a decent patio, but run short on parking during peek hours. There is reasonable parking on the street as well as in the shops next door--- Just pay attention to the No Parking signs. When in doubt, ask... Staff is always polite and friendly.. read more
