They played 90s ebb at just the right volume. They had a lot of mixed drink options: alcohol-infused gummy bears and colorful slushy drinks. The food menu was pretty decent. I had collard greens with smoked turkey and rice. It was steak night. most of their menu leans heavily toward gumbo, rice, and other Southern dishes. What's funny is , I've seen this place on DoorDash before but never thought to order. Turns out you can actually get food and cocktails delivered. That's a huge plus in my book. I was in Houston visiting family and was on the hunt for a "cocktail to go." I am soooo glad this place popped up bc I was so pleasantly surprised! It was very very cute and very very clean inside! The owner as well as the bar tender were extremely kind and had great recommendations and even samples! First things first...Customer service is A+! Sharelle is a sweetheart. She gave great recommendations for food and drinks since it was our first time visiting. I ordered the smothered chicken with rice and gravy/red beans and rice/cornbread. My husband said it was delicious!!!! We also had the frozen sidecar. It had a nice amount of alcohol in it. My husband and I briefly stopped in to meet the owner (a friend of a family member of ours) on Friday afternoon, and she invited us to sample the collard greens. They were absolutely "down home" delicious!!! My husband was in Houston for a convention and so the following day as soon as his last business meeting ended, we made our way back to have dinner and drinks at Tipsy's. The henny-rita, all the side cars and lemon drops, peach martini and classic and chocolate old fashioned are all drinks myself, and parents have tried (so far). Learned about this restaurant from Instagram and I am so glad I did. Finally had the opportunity to try it. Ordered through Door Dash. Received notification it would be ready 10-15 minutes. When I arrived my order was not ready but customer service was friendly and apologetic. The lady at the counter explained there was a big party. She worked on my order right away and it was bagged and ready for me in less than ten minutes. While I waited she gave me samples of the collard greens and frozen sidecar. Both were bomb. I LOVED the frozen sidecar and had to add one to my order. The other drinks I ordered were frozen lemonade (non-alcoholic), mango lemon drop and peach sidecar. The frozen lemonade was amazingggg. Perfect amount of sweetness. I would buy this by the gallon if it was offered. Also ordered the smothered chicken plate which is great and well seasoned. Pricey though. $23 for two thighs on top of a bowl of rice. I appreciate scattered pieces of chicken are in the rice. It does come with some really good and moist cornbread. We came on a Friday night and it was such a great vibe for a Friday. Food was amazing, beyond my expectation! The drinks were super good and very tasty; they did the job! The environment is cute and a great atmosphere overall. The service was not so great; our waitress did not come check on us as often as I would've wanted. She only came to greet us, get our first order and then to charge us! The cook kept looking at us with a judgy face which made my friends and I very uncomfortable at some point. The bartender was chatting with some guys at the bar the whole time and was taking about 15 minutes to make one drink! We had lots of dirty dishes and empty glasses just sitting on the table for 2 whole hours (the whole time we were there). Even the young short lady in the back cleaning up came and asked us if we were okay and needed anything else because she saw the mess and how disappointed we were.
