Their burger and truffle fries are better than most in the city, and the veggies they offer as side dishes are unique and delicious -- highly recommend the cabbage or the cauliflower. The cocktail options are varied, and they offer a nice variety of appetizers. The deviled eggs and the spinach/artichoke dip with home made potato chips are winners. read more

When our $100+ bill for dinner arrived, I noticed that we were overcharged $4 because we did not get the benefit of the happy hour price for an item even though we were dining during happy hour. So I nicely and respectfully pointed the error out to the restaurant's employee. When she recalculated the bill, the total went down $1.97 instead of $4 plus tax. When I compared the original invoice with the new invoice side-by-side, I noticed that the price of one of our entrees had been increased by $2 from the first bill. And before anyone accuses me of being a penny-pincher, despite the unfortunate situation, I still tipped slightly more than 20% on the after-tax bill. We won't be back again. read more

Love the location and the atmosphere. The service was excellent- very attentive and made some great suggestions. Extremely clean and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We got the meatballs and chicken strips to start. The appetizers were inhaled by the kids as soon as they arrived! I could not even get a picture before they were inhaled! They have a small kids menu but it hits what kids want so it is more than adequate and the other options on the regular menu can be tailored for kids. They have a full service bar and a couple big screen TVs playing the game. For the main meals. The kids strips were a hit. The tomato soup was rich and creamy. The pairing with the grilled cheese was perfect for dipping! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The broccoli was a bit spicy for the kids but it was still delicious. The burger is a double so you better be hungry! It was very good- although I did not eat the bun (trying to watch carbs) the kids said it was good and a bit sweet. We got the double chocolate chip cookie and key lime tart for dessert. They were great. The key lime was the perfect amount of tart and sweet. My girlfriend and I make it a point to get together at least once a month! She proposed trying out a new dining spot, and naturally, I was all for it! Although it was my first visit, it certainly won't be my last! Wondering where? It's KP's Kitchen at 5427 Bissonnet. The General Manager, Rich, is truly outstanding! I haven't seen such customer engagement since Arthur at Del Frisco's! What do I mean by engagement? Rich checks on all tables, interacts with customers, holds the door open, pays attention to each table's specific needs, and shares exciting upcoming plans! Let's talk about the food and drinks. They have a full bar. While I'm not much of a wine enthusiast, they seem to offer a great selection! I'm unsure if they have a system to notify customers about upcoming events and specials, but I'd love to be on that list. Food-wise, They have a fantastic happy hour, so we kicked off with some appetizers. We opted for the Brussels sprouts and artichoke plates. The Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection in a delicate sauce and were incredibly tasty. As our main dish, we split a flawlessly cooked medium-rare filet mignon. The steak's taste was exceptional! The eatery features daily specials, and on Fridays, they offer Fish and Chips, which we intend to sample next time. The fish and chips looked irresistible as numerous orders passed by our table with a golden-brown, crispy exterior! Yum! After a disappointing visit to a British restaurant, I was close to giving up on finding good ones. It's wonderful to have a nearby spot that appears to serve flawlessly prepared fish and chips on Fridays. We had a great family meal. Service was fantastic. A real neighborhood feel. We had Brussel sprouts, and the spinach artichoke dip with homemade chips. Both were very yummy. I had the burger and it was cooked perfectly. Some of the family had the chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. The kids chicken tenders was also enjoyed. We decided to check out KP kitchen in Bellaire. I have to tell you I haven't been impressed with most of the new restaurants that have opened in the area so k didn't have high expectations. Well I was absolutely blown away! At first glance, the menu did not excite me. We had a large party of eight so we did get to try quite a few things the brussels sprouts were by far some of the best brussels sprouts I've had and I've had a lot of brussels sprouts. The fried artichoke appetizer was also quite delicious and unique. Ask for main courses the KP burger is truly one of the best burgers. I've had a long time highly recommend it, the shrimp dish off the charts, delicious salads, chocolate full of deliciousness, and my brother-in-law chose the ribs and he said they were by far the best ribs he had ever had, even though we had no room for dessert, we did order the butter cake and Keylime pie, which are nice small serving so it was perfect and both delicious. Staff was incredibly courteous and we did not have to ask for a thing the management walked around also checking on tables to make sure everyone was happy interior is lovely and modern but yet still a nice casual atmosphere. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already. read more

I was excited when I saw KPs opening in Bellaire. We visit the location on I-10 occasionally and I rave to my friends about the food and wine selections. As a result, I am hesitant to share a negative review, but.... We visited on Mother's Day so we expected something a little more special. We were seated on folding chairs that were obviously temporary and uncomfortable. The brunch quiche was very disappointing...dry and pretty skimpy on ingredients. Waiter told me that the chicken biscuit was a platter so expected potatoes or something since the menu was not clear. It was just the sandwich so oh well. I'll definitely give them another chance since I think this was just growing pains, but hope things turnaround. read more

I always have gone here to enjoy a nice family dinner while dressing casual! The service is great! I always talk to my friends that never have gone here how good the service is! The decor is really nice and it adds a very nice touch to the restaurant! They have really nice bathrooms and really good food! I usually get the butter noodles and grilled chicken on top and I also get the bacon burger! The burgers look like they would in an add! That shows how much they want to perfect it! One time I went here on my birthday and the owner gave me a card that said enjoy your special day! That also gave me a 50 percent off for the next meal!!! read more
