Joy Love Burgers is an outstanding place to eat at if you ever get bored of your typical, mainstream burger place. The size of the place really surprised you with the amount of food you get. Although, some of the prices are a tad bit high, you'll figure out that you truly get what you paid for. I ordered the fried pork chop combo. You need to learn to LISTEN to your customers instead of just trying to talk over them - THAT is why you have the "miscommunication" you claim to have. This is not the first time this has happened, and we order at your location at least once a month. Not anymore! I ordered a Turkey Melt, and got an absolutely disgusting grease soaked hamburger patty with undercooked bacon and nasty soggy fries. I tried to tell you multiple times that I would like my order REFUNDED for YOUR mistake, and you kept running your mouth to the point where I literally had to ask you to shut your mouth and listen. You are way too stressed out to be a manager. Get a grip! The 1st time was 4 years ago and it was a great experience ! 2nd time , I got the catfish sandwich 6 months ago , was not seasoned at all , super bland but the fries were ok so I gave them another try today . I ordered the shrimp burger cajun styled . Once again really bland but what got me was that the ketchup on the table was pungent ! I ended up opening the top of the ketchup and the smell made me feel sick . I went to the cashier and let them smell it , which they were utterly disgusted as well . A black man came from kitchen with a cold ketchup container and handed it to me . He told me that their ketchup bottles are cleaned everyday . I am suggested for him to smell the container that I gave him or even taste it . He walked away and did not return . I am a school teacher in the area and had brought my students in to try the food today for our outing . We were there at 11:30am this morning . I never knew about this location until my boss had brought it to my attention and gave me a gift certificate to this place. I've passed by the Mason Road location many times but never knew there was another location closer by. The restaurant itself was bright and clean, with classic 80s music playing overhead. And tastefully decorated. As for the burgers themselves, I can see why they're good. They're pretty big and juicy, thus necessitating the need for many napkins. And I liked that crust on the top part of the patty and the bottom of the bun. So good. The service was pretty good, I didn't mind being asked more than once about my order, to me it was a sign of making sure my order was right. Would I return to this place? The first time we visited the service and food was good, but that doesn't seem to be the case any more. The staff has the boom box blaring in the kitchen and the person try to take order can't seem to hear what the customer is trying to order. The food was terrible, I had order the steak sandwich for the first time since I didn't want burger, but as got exactly two slices of meat for a supposedly Angus steak sandwich. I can taste the meat since there wasn't any. I guess it is no different than a Sonic drive through but with a high price tag. I started composing this review before I swallowed the first bite of my burger. We stopped in after our usual Saturday night spot had a line out the door. We were actually headed elsewhere when I glanced over and saw the sign. I was worried at first, because the place was empty, but there was a healthy take-out flow. I had a double cheeseburger and my wife had the bacon avocado burger; both were combos with regular fries and drinks. As I said, my opinion was formed after one bite. The meat was clearly superior and the bun tasted freshly baked. My wife immediately said it was one of the best burgers she's had. Others have noted the cost, but I feel the quality of the food and also the quantity justified the expense. I went in pretty hungry and couldn't finish my burger. The owner came out and personally asked about our experience; he was genuinely interested in what we had to say. Another woman (owner's wife?) also came out and brought us a free churro. We ate it, but I was honestly too stuffed, but didn't want to seem ungrateful. Only knock I gave was the loud Christian radio station, but that's really minor. Some might not like the choice of Pepsi products, but they had Dr Pepper, so I was satisfied. We'll definitely be back and make this a regular spot. read more

Based on what I have heard, I was not surprised that I enjoyed my burger, but I was surprised that the burger was as big as it was. Compared to the other burger places along Barker Cypress, it is on the pricier side. It is very (times 2) expensive, but the burger portions are very (times 2) good, and the tastes are very (times 3) good. The regular fries are good, but the one time I got the sweet potato fries, they were a little charred. A concern that I would have with a business in this strip center is its proximity to the Northwest Freeway (290). At times, Barker Cypress tends to be congested from Queenston to just north of 290.
