I LOVE this little coffee shop. This is my favorite study spot. Their coffee is absolutely delicious and their breakfast tastes homemade. Towards the baristas, I don't think they are the most welcoming or social. To be fair, I can understand they must be busy. Theres one man, perhaps the owner, I see him there frequently and he's always very kind, quick, and helpful. I did not want to go to Starbucks on my way home from H-E-B so I stopped here. I ordered a cold brew, which was probably the best cold brew I've ever tasted in my life. It was amazing. The space is huge and had a great cafe vibe. The bookshelf had a couple books and I realized I read almost half of them, very cool. I ordered one blueberry scone, and that, unfortunately, was not great. It took about 15 minutes to get the one scone, while my groceries sat in my hot car. I'd finished my coffee before I got the scone and since a scone is typically very dry it's kinda meant to go with a drink (I mean, why did it take that long to put the scone in the microwave for a minute). I ended up taking it home to have with a home coffee. I bit into the scone and it tasted like straight-up refrigerator. Just nasty. It went straight to the trash. I wish I would have known, I could have saved time and just flushed a $5 bill into toilet instead. But, I can't stop thinking about that cold brew! read more

The Core Cafe is a lovely cafe with a variety of coffees, smoothies, breakfast items, and desserts. I purchased the mango smoothie and pistachio dream cake. They were amazing! I know it was a weird combination because I wasn't planning on ordering the cake but it looked enticing and I'm so glad I got it. The staff was helpful to make sure I got my food. This is a popular place with a range of individual and group seating throughout the cafe. I came down for a silent Bookclub event and I enjoyed the atmosphere here. Fu the owner joined us at our table and I loved that! He is so kind and friendly and even some customers joined us in reading. I love the vibes here and will definitely come back. read more

Came here 2/8/26 and had such a great coffee experience! The service was good, I was immediately greeted upon entering. I ordered the Honey Comb Latte iced and it was made to perfection - I almost ordered a second! The barista helped answer all my questions since I was trying to decide what to order. The menu is plentiful, I can't wait to try other drinks. The coffee shop is very spacious with plenty of seating all over, and different types of seating arrangements. Lots of natural light and the music wasn't too loud either. There was construction being done on the road prior to turning in, and the parking lot can get busy. I stopped by this cafe to get some work done since there was a power outage in Spring, and I think I found my new favorite study spot when I'm in the area! This seemingly small cafe is actually quite spacious; the ambiance was quiet, and the service was friendly. They had a seasonal menu for the fall, so I chose to order the iced Tiramisu latte with oat milk, and the cup was coated in tiramisu (?) syrup. The coffee taste was a bit masked, but overall it was creamy, not too sweet, and had a mocha flavor! The Core Cafe had several unique flavors that I'd love to try, so I look forward to returning. :D read more

My friend Janet and I stopped by this adorable café after our Saturday morning walk, and I think we may have found our new go-to spot. They had a great selection of pastries, and our hazelnut lattes were absolutely divine. I ordered the Breakfast Bagel - a cheddar jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, scrambled egg on one side and avocado on the other. I honestly didn't think all of that would go well together, but it was amazing! The flavors worked perfectly, and it was hearty and filling... exactly what I needed for a late-morning brunch. Janet had a regular croissant and loved it! She thought it was super fresh and flaky. Between the great coffee, delicious food, and cozy vibe, we're already planning to come back. This cafe is where Barbarossa used to be. Barbarossa was my favorite coffee spot on this side of town and there aren't many! Their new location is pretty far from me, so i thought I'd check out this place since it is where my favorite used to be. However! This was my first and last visit. As soon as i walked in, i smelled an overwhelming scent of smoke. I'm not sure if that came from the patrons or the space itself, but that alone was almost enough for me to walk right out of the door. But i stayed because i really wanted to give this place a chance. Like another reviewer, Elizabeth V., mentioned, there were 3 women around the counter who were not welcoming. Considering that you have to walk a distance to even get to the counter, being welcomed when you get there would have been nice! Anyway, the woman who took my order wasn't kind or helpful and when i asked for my drink iced (because the menu didn't specify if the drink was offered hot or iced) she said - kind of condescendingly - "it's already iced..." How would I know that if it's not listed on the menu? And why am I receiving snark for specifying how I'd like my order? Even though I was ordering in person, it felt like I was ordering at a drive thru - being rushed and questions discouraged by an apathetic employee who'd literally like to be anywhere else in the world at that moment. I knew I wouldn't stay at that point so I grabbed my matcha (which was just okay) and left. It's super disappointing to see that this is what occupies the space where my favorite coffee spot used to be. Maybe good service is worth the 45-min drive to their new location! Coming here certainly wasn't worth the headache of traffic, construction, a busy parking lot full of people cutting through to avoid the traffic on the street, and attitudes from the employees. If you like good coffees and teas but also like a kind and welcoming ambiance, please go elsewhere. I wish I wouldn't have believed the 5 star reviews I saw here. read more

The fresh fruit was delicious the. The eggs were the only highlight as they are while he's cooked. But $17 for a breakfast plate is disappointing for the quality that I received. Parking lot was busy, but yet there's parking not directly in front of the restaurant because it shares it with other retail stores The Stanford friendly, and the Services prompt probably really the only highlight. My daughter (14) and I were looking for a place to chill until her band practice. I searched the area and found this gem! First time trying The core cafe. As soon as we walked in it was a great vibe, the place looks open and feels spacious I love the colors and the pictures on the walls. They have a great selection of pastries we decided to try their blue berry cheese danish and their baklava we also wanted to try some of their savory pastries so we ordered the spinach and cheese. For the drinks we tried their milkshake, their cortado and their Americano. The cheese danish was served warm and it was so flavorful and tasty. They repainted the walls for this place, but the interior is pretty much the same. The vibes are a little different now, but I think it's cozier. They bring you in and treat you like family. But most importantly, The coffee is incredible! This place has the best matcha for 50 miles. I just had my first experience here and I can't believe I didn't stop here before. It's tucked away on Louetta, so you have to pay really close attention. When you're driving by. Let me tell you, my drink was delicious! It's a seasonal special and I couldn't make up my mind between a regular Matcha and the strawberry Matcha but I'm glad I chose the strawberry Matcha! My friend said he had been so impressed with their lattes. He had to bring me here and I'm glad he did. It's a very nice setting a good place for work and conversation.
