Great value; good fried seafood. Servings are just the right size and family style servings are good as well. Customer service is good and consistent over time. read more

We had lunch at Baytown Seafood. A small restaurant that I passed multiple times without knowing what it was. The seafood was cooked fresh and was delicous. read more

My Son and wife visited yesterday from Corpus Christi. He wanted to treat everyone to lunch and after searching a little on Yelp, chose Baytown Seafood. Everyone wanted fried dishes from the online menu except my wife who wanted a burger. I would love to give this restaurant a decent review but the food was really bad. Even the burger was not eaten. The cooking oil left a greasy paraffin coating in the mouth which was disgusting. The majority of the meal went in the trash. read more

Went in for the first time today. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, grilled Mahi and Shrimp, and an order of the fried catfish. Everything was very good, but the catfish was my favorite! Service was quick and we did not feel rushed during our visit. We will definitely be back. read more

I got hush puppies and fried shrimp. Today. It's been a minute since I've had the food! Hasn't changed and the service is always good. Just didn't like the fact that they no longer have Tabasco sauce! Other than that no complaints it was in and out service! At a busy rush time! read more

My family order take out for lunch every Friday. The fish and chicken fried steak are delicious. We call Baytown Seafood our Fish Friday restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.See ya next Friday! read more

Have been coming here for years as it was a good restaurant but since the beginning of this year (2023) they have significantly increased their prices and stopped their normal side salad to each order (so they hiked up the prices and stopped adding the additional side salad). Additionally, they charged my entire table and the table next to ours a soft drink ($2.99) when we all ordered waters read more

Went back another day to try the chicken fried steak and crab cakes. Chicken fried steak comes with choice of brown or white gravy. The white gravy was good with a peppery kick to it. My friend and I agreed that the seafood was nonetheless the star. We ordered in addition to the half chicken fried steak dinner, a stuffed crab and 6 shrimp dinner - they both come with salad and fries. Also ordered two crab cakes and one more stuffed crab. Now we can sample crab two ways with shrimp and chicken fried steak. The stuffed crab was better then last time and we preferred it over the crab cake - which was still good - although some may not like the hard exterior texture due to frying. Shrimp was excellent as before read more

I come here just about every month or so and my go place especially during lent. We love it here food always hot and best catfish and shrimp around. Not to mention they are fast with their service. I wish I would've taken some pictures before I ate my 3 catfish and 6 shrimp combo! Maybe next time. ;) read more

Absolutely horrible. Fried frozen food with a nasty frozen taste. Every single item was frozen and not fresh. Waste of money. Never again!

Well I decided to take a chance on this place since I was in the area. I ordered the grilled salmon with shrimp and a side of crawfish. The overall meal was acceptable . I was surprised how fast the food came out less than 10 minutes. That's a record , they were slow so maybe that's why it was out so quick. The food was tasty based on its price point. This is ain't no Pappadeaux or Oceanaire . But if you looking for some cheap seafood that's fairly decent then this place is a go. Another thing I did not like was the waiter was not very attentive. Never did he come by our table and asked how was everything . Hmmmm I probably would visit again since they are about 5 minutes from my home. read more

The worst ever. I asked the owner and was told the food is brought in frozen. You can see that it is frozen food and it has no flavor. The portion size for the price was ridiculous. They lead you to believe it is fresh seafood but nothing is brought in fresh. All frozen food. read more

We were brought here for lunch and I decided to try something new. I ordered the crawfish étouffée and thought it was good. I haven't had étouffée before, so I don't have anything to compare it to but it was good and creamy. My favorite though was the grilled shrimp. I got a side order of three grilled shrimp to try and it was really good, I would order the six piece next time. The service was excellent! Our waiter was attentive and our food was served timely. I would come back for sure. read more

Amazing, quick and efficient service! The gentleman at the counter was friendly and the food is amazing. I'll be back!

We had a great meal here, that is, for fried seafood. I had tried their grilled dishes at other locations and all had been decent, but only been here once and all we got was fried. So the review is strictly on that. The appetizer crab stuffed jalapenos were really yummy, not spicy nor small. We ordered fried shrimp and oysters, which were good sizes and not greasy like I had expected. The salad was easily forgetful, but I didn't mind it, considering their prices and their great portions. Service was also great. The only thing was that the dirty rice was more like fried rice, otherwise perhaps 5 stars. So: great meal for fried seafood. read more

Not much atmosphere, interior needs updating. However, their food is delicious. I always get the catfish/fried shrimp combo. Very reasonably priced. read more

I had family in town for spring break and we were looking at seafood places near my area and decided to go here. I never leave reviews but this one I just had to. It's 5mins from home, price was great you definitely get a lot for your money! And let me just say the boil shrimp with the Garlic sauce was just amazingly delicious. Crab legs was so tasty! Compare to other seafood places this has to be the best prices you would ever pay for seafood and I am a foodie. I travel around to eat at seafood places lol My family enjoyed their food and we even went back twice. I will be back soon. read more

Seafood is fresh and tasty. The waitstaff is very friendly. The prices might be a little higher than the other Baytown seafood restaurants. But the quality is there. The fried shrimp is very good. read more

It's not Red Lobster or Pappadeaux's but its good seafood for a very reasonable price. I've had the grilled and fried options for the fish and they both were very good. The portions are large for the price and the wait staff is quick and helpful. The restaurant may not be fancy or flashy but it is neat as a pin and kept clean. The restroom is small but very clean. The food does not all taste the same which can happen with fried foods so it tells me the oil is changed regularly and not reused. For the money it is a nice meal for a great price. They are also kid friendly. read more

Hey this place is pretty good! Have driven by so many times and decided to stop for lunch yesterday. I had grilled flounder, dirty rice , and grilled veggies. Came out hot and was very good. Hubs had fried shrimp, oysters and fries. He made a yummy sound. Dinner salad was fresh but meh will try cole slaw next time. Saltines on the table! Service was fast. Greeted and seated right away. Not a fancy place but sure was crowded. Will go back def. read more

The service is pretty good. The catfish is good. The decor doesn't really match the type of food. The building is tucked in the median in 90 just before the bridge. read more

Great consistent quality. Very tasty. The best catfish around. I love the shrimp. Huge quantities.

We love this place! Good seafood for a reasonable price. We have been to other Baytown Seafoods but we like this one the best! It has a great staff that keeps it a notch above the rest! It is normally quick to get in and out, too. read more

I really love this place, but finding a rubber band in my soup spoiled it for me. Will not return. Thank you.

Good seafood very reasonably priced. Most is fried, but they also have grilled on the menu for those ( like my wife) who prefer grilled. Not real fancy, but a great place to eat. read more

I like this place. There really isnt one particular reason why. I like the fact that locals go here, that it isnt in the slightest a fancy place, the prices are reasonable, and the clientel are of the older generation (to put it nicely). I have ordered fried fish, shrimp etc and for about $30 I was able to feed 6 adults and 2 kids (we made the side fix'ns at home) which I thought was good. I have also dined in and ordered the crab cakes. My parents probably eat here once a month and also really like the place. Good local dive. read more

My wife and I love going here.. It seems a little different from all the other places with the name baytown seafood that are around.. I like this one the best. The first time I came to this one I had some fried alligator, it was yummy.. THe fried shrimp is as good as it gets and the fried oysters are amazing., My wife likes the hushpuppies.. The service is always good and the food is always great! read more

This is more of a fry bar then anything . Knowing that I like the food. Nothing fancy and they do a good job with what they know. If you want fancy done 1/2 right go to the other place down the road 1 mile I order out may times and pick up on my way home when I find my work has me out that way. Never been shorted on food and always hot when I pick it up. Once I got tied up and was late getting there....they remade to order. The restaurant itself is not fancy, but down home and clean. Service (when I eat in) some how the wait staffs are able to keep my tea and water glass form being empty. The manager has no problem picking up a pitcher and filling glasses. (yes I do drink more then2 of their glasses {around 36 oz} of tea) Just be careful when pulling out heading east...the traffic coming over the bridge flies and cannot see you. Pull out on the shoulder and move into the traffic read more

First of all, two of the four meals were messed up, scallops were horribly over cooked, and the gumbo only had one small piece of sausage. People there were nice, but the food was not worth it. Definitely not going back. read more

We went to this location for the first time today. I had the blackened scallops which were delicious. My husband's grilled catfish and my son's fried shrimp were also good. The atmosphere is a bit stale, but service is good. We'll be back. read more

Second time here and food is always really good. Very reasonable prices and very nice staff. Did the shrimp étouffée this time. Unlike any I've ever had, but creamy, spicy, with lots of shrimp...a meal in its self! I'll be back soon! Ok, so since I seem to always enjoy this place, I brought a large group of people here for dinner on a Saturday night. I was so disappointed that I'm not sure I'll return. Half the people in our group ordered fried food, and they were OK with what they received. The other half ordered blackened seafood and those people didn't even ear theirs. I ordered flounder and other than the spices not tasting good, the fish was horrible. It tasted like dirt...which I'm sure just meant the fish was really old. Another person got salmon and her's was like leather and also had a bad taste from the seasonings. The other was mahi and he didn't like it either. So, my fascination with this place is gone for ever. Unless I want fried food, I won't come here again...and I pretty much never eat fried food. read more
