This is one of our favorite restaurants! Lunch, brunch, dinner everything has been amazing! Service is always spot on. Drinks are good and never had a bad meal from the many times we have been here for multiple occasions.

Oldie, but goodie. I came in for oysters and a mezcal old fashion. Never disappoints. I was still a little hungry and added a Caesar Salad. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I like that the La Centera location has a few high tops near the bar area as well.

Each time I have returned to this restaurant both the food and the service have improved. The ambience is always pleasant but the gumbo which is my favorite in the area is spot on. Yesterday I had duck gumbo, which is a special during this season and it is well worth the trip to simply experience this. I enjoy an old-fashioned typically with rye so did not try the maple old-fashioned. I might return just to experience the flavor, but the bourbon which is a whistle pig would not be something that I would necessarily enjoy in an old fashion. The server Miguel C has been someone we have encountered at this restaurant now several times and he is simply excellent. There is no doubt this is becoming amongst my favorite restaurants in LaCenterra.

The Rouxpour was such a delightful surprise. Our server Ryland was so knowledgable. Her description of the food has my mouth watering! We love New Orleans, so the flavor, style, and charm of Cajun cuisine near our new home was a welcome treat. From chargrilled oysters, a New Orleans favorite, to seared scallops with lemon butter and caper sauce topped with crab meat! Oh my! Excellent. We sat, sipped, and ate here twice today!

Came here for the first time during Mother's Day Brunch and had a pretty good experience. It was busy, as expected, but we were seated very quickly with a reservation. We also got lucky with a close parking spot, because honestly the LaCenterra area is a madhouse on weekends. While we came during brunch, they still had their main dinner menu available to order from. However, brunch food is my favorite so I stuck with it and got the Cajun omelette along with French toast. The omelette was great, and it was my first time trying a Cajun style one. I also enjoyed the potatoes and cornbread it came with. The French toast was a little less desirable with the type of bread they used (French bread instead of typical sliced toast). Otherwise, I was very pleased with my meal. I would love to come back and try some more items from their regular menu, including trying their famous oysters for the first time. Based on my brunch experience though, I recommend this Rouxpour location in Katy.

The special was the sea bass which we both had grilled.

Back again! I made the reservation on Open Table for outside, but temperature looked to be less comfortable in the evening. A very pleasant and helpful lady changed us to inside with a quick phone call. This time service (Adrianna and Nicholas) was much more attentive. This is a lovely place with a calm and classy vibe... inside or out. The food was fabulous as usual.

I thought I did a review already but Food was amazing. Gumbo was salty just a tad bit. Service was 10/10. I loved my waitress. She did an exquisite Job at explaining everything I asked her. Ambiance was dim but live if that make since. Nice time with my child

This was a nice spot good scenery inside and out. Mix of couples on date night and families. Bar tender Audrianny was very pleasant and personable. We move to a table for three and the service was good. The oysters are BIG and first time I had fire grilled oysters. I had a 1/2 dozen one of my friends had raw which I tasted and it was good. You come to TX for steak and this one was good. I've had plenty better but this was good. I could have used a little more flavor but I didn't need to add sauce or anything. Cooked to order (medium). Red cabbage was decent as well and I like they had Caymus by the glass.

Lunch date for Labor Day. I like this location because it has a nice outdoor patio area and a nice bar area. Our waiter Tyler was great and very accommodating. We had a half dozen chargrilled oysters that were delicious but smaller than usual. We had the lunch portion of the creamy pasta with shrimp and the pork ribeye and both were delicious. The pasta could use more sauce and the potatoes with the ribeye were slightly overcooked this time. The drinks are always in point!!! We finished it with the crème brûlée and it was good. Over it was a good experience. The parking is free as well.

Been here twice, but this time they used a dress code that i didnt violate to not let me & my date in, typically ive seen this used to deny service to black people my brothas and sisters go down to Ambriza instead the owner is always very nice and the food is a bit better and cost less

I usually go to the location in memorial city however we were closer to this location on this day and decided to give them a try. We went in just for the oysters and as always very satisfied! Service was great and food was as well. Their Mocktail was soooo refreshing!

We tried this place for dinner the other night. We tried a number of appetizers including their BBQ Shrimp, Asparagus with Crab, Grilled Oysters, and Crab and Corn Chowder. All were good. The BBQ Shrimp were not in a "Buttery" sauce like in NOLA, but it was pretty good. I had the Fried Shrimp dinner. It was a large portion. The shrimp were a bit over cooked, but otherwise pretty good. Service was spot on and it's a nice setting.

My husband and I came here once before but it was later and they were kinda shutting down so we wanted to try it again because I really wanted to get some oysters. We found a nice spot at the bar and Sean was very helpful and on point with his knowledge of the menu and things to try. He explained that the oysters they had for the evening were Gulf Oysters from Region 22. That was helpful. I felt that he was a very solid bartender. I ordered the Texas Blueberry Martini which was refreshing and a nice choice. My husband tried a few tastings that they were very helpful with before settling on their Roxpour Private Label White which he really enjoyed. Most of the time, House private labels are more hype than substance so this was a nice surprise. This review is kind of a "Work In Progress," and open for additional comments in the future when we return because all I got were oysters and they were fine but nothing special. I feel like their highlights are the oysters that are prepared like the Chargrilled more than raw oysters. They were maybe a 5 out of a 10. Their regular menu looks good but it's heavy. If I had any suggestions, it would be to have some additional small plates for those who are going lighter and just want some apps. Here, it's kinda go big or go home. We would have tried other things if they are available. Just my $0.02. We will return again because the atmosphere was fun.

I shouldn't have to ask for some borderline stale saltines. And...once my plates and beverage have been cleared, I shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes for the server to come back and ask if I'm ready for the check!?!?! Yes! What else are we doing!?! Then I had to stop the server from immediately running off once she dropped the check! Just rubbed me the wrong way.

Same curved counter, same stainless, same red shirts - and the same man in the cap and beard shucking my oysters, one perfect shell at a time. This place isn't fancy. It's Texas honest. A grounded ship ringed in sun-bleached shells, loud with beer, laughter, and knives hitting the hinge. Folks pack in - oil hands, students, suits - because here, money doesn't decide taste. If you want the Gulf, you come. The oysters are what the Gulf does better than anyone will admit: big, briny, and unapologetic. Pacific and Australian oysters are refined - polite, even. Ours carry warm salt, mineral depth, and a little river memory. They don't whisper; they speak Texas. Menu says a dozen; you get thirteen. That's not a promotion. That's culture. The Michelada? Many places pour a decent one. I won't judge. But drop a fat Gulf oyster in the glass and the drink wears its crown - the way Houstonians know it should. Fried catfish here sets a bar most won't clear: cornmeal crisp, clean-sweet flesh, no mud, no funk. In this part of the country--Texas and our neighbors in Arkansas - we don't just eat catfish; we raise it right and fry it right. That's geography, craft, and pride. Frog legs snap at the joint and stay tender at heart - quiet Southern luxury. Gumbo is Texas gumbo - thicker, smokier, steady. Not Cajun, not Creole; ours. Skip it and your body will notice. Nineteen years ago I had my first Michelada here. Nineteen years later, it's still the best - and that same shucker in the cap is still running the line like time never learned his name. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

Even at that time, it was mostly full, but we were able to snag seats at the bar, which is first come first serve. We ordered the "regular" grilled oysters (5/5), which were anything but regular, as they were topped with peanuts and a really great flavor. I'd get these again. Fair warning, these take 20 minutes to come out, which I didn't mind, but I did not realize that they would not bring us anything else until after the oysters since these are considered an app. I thought they'd just bring things out as they were ready. This meant, we did not get our crawfish until we were already sitting there for an hour. About halfway into the wait for the crawfish (after the oysters), the fried rice (1/5) showed up, and I have to say, it was underwhelming. It came out room temperature, which to me is cold, and I thought this was just how they do it. Except 15 minutes later, the seats next to us got their fried rice, and it came out piping hot. You could still see the steam coming off of it. Besides being cold, I didn't think the fried rice was that good in terms of flavor. I also generally prefer the short grain rice, and this was more of a long grain. Once the crawfish showed up, we were well past an hour, so we dove right into it. Both the garlic butter and combo mix were great flavor - some of the best I've had in Houston. However.... it made me remember why we did not return. About 20% of the crawfish were TINY. And by tiny, I mean they were smaller than my pinky finger. Maybe I'm a crawfish snob, but at this time of the season, there should not be that many tiny crawfish. Maybe a few small ones, but not tiny. Crawfish flavor = 5+/5, crawfish quality = 2/5, crawfish cook = 3/5. Then I made the mistake of ordering a cluster of snow crab. That took another 30+ min to come out, and it was again room temperature. The service at the bar was fine (4/5), but the kitchen service (1/5) is not something I want to experience again, especially not for the crawfish quality/size. Yes, the flavor was amazing, but I'm not fighting for a table for lukewarm food and 30 min wait time for each dish. The pricing was some of the lowest I've seen ($8.99/lb crawfish), but I'd rather pay $1 more at other places for the quality.

On Tuesday, they have Mardi Gras specials on apps and drinks. The mushroom app was excellent with the stuffing well balanced with crawfish. The fried snapper was perfect, not over cooked but lightly fried and very flakey allowing the snapper to shine. The crawfish étouffée was just a bit over peppered but still tasty. The bread pudding was awesome as always. And Babins has the very best New Orleans style bread. Great lunch! A special shout out to Monica Garza, our server - great recommendations, very personable and spot on service!

Last Halloween the ball was dropped when they had my to go dish covered in mushrooms, and I requested "no mushrooms ". This year, which is now Last Halloween the sausages were undercooked, even caused me to experience loose stool, I was invited back to make it right. Service were great and very attentive. Now I'm here half a year later trying them again, sitting in the courtyard ordering from their limited menu. Cajun crawfish rolls 9/10 Happy hour drink "crescent city swirl" ($6 frozen concoction category). 9/10 Military discount is honored here. I'm a bit surprised that won't apply points to Landry rewards if military discount applied The AC appeared to be broken because it definitely was warmer than should have been when I arrived I sat in the courtyard area for quite a while before getting anyone's attention to just get a cup of water, which I never got. She told me that the bartender will come collect my order, and I got a drink and an egg rolls.
