Food was amazing. We came right before happy hour ended at 6:30pm Friday night. Our waitress was fast and was there anytime we needed something. I had the scallops with crab and mushroom risotto. In season right now and it was so good. My coworker had ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. The crème brûlée was alright. I deff had better but their cheesecake was delicious. Such a great spot in La Centerra and the night life really comes alive.
You can never go wrong with RuPaul. I wasn't aware of this at that location. They offer live music on Friday nights. I can't recall our waiter's name, but he was very attentive and handled our needs well.
Food has always been great!!! Brunch Bloody Mary is phenomenal! Well presented and great flavor, at dinner though... dont even try it! The Carajillo is made perfectly, Oaxacan connection was good, did not enjoy the Mexican martini or margarita. Patio is shaded which is great, so we usually sit outside with the ambience of the lake and large trees. Service is also great, shout out to Cullen he was truly fantastic on our anniversary dinner night. Recommend any of their crab stuffed fish (have had snapper and flounder), also the sea bass. The scallops appetizer was perfectly flavored and cooked as well. Quickly became my favorite seafood restaurant!!!
Nice ambiance. Live music. Nice view of the lake if you're seated by the window. Service was friendly. Good and cocktails were tasty. Gumbo was a little salty. But overall enjoyed our meal!
We always have a time when we visit. This time we sat at the bar. Even though service was so so, the food and drinks made up for it. The gumbo is always sooo consistent - just yummy! Boudin here is our fav.

Each time I have returned to this restaurant both the food and the service have improved. The ambience is always pleasant but the gumbo which is my favorite in the area is spot on. Yesterday I had duck gumbo, which is a special during this season and it is well worth the trip to simply experience this. I enjoy an old-fashioned typically with rye so did not try the maple old-fashioned. I might return just to experience the flavor, but the bourbon which is a whistle pig would not be something that I would necessarily enjoy in an old fashion. The server Miguel C has been someone we have encountered at this restaurant now several times and he is simply excellent. There is no doubt this is becoming amongst my favorite restaurants in LaCenterra.

Oldie, but goodie. I came in for oysters and a mezcal old fashion. Never disappoints. I was still a little hungry and added a Caesar Salad. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I like that the La Centera location has a few high tops near the bar area as well.
Came here for the first time during Mother's Day Brunch and had a pretty good experience. It was busy, as expected, but we were seated very quickly with a reservation. We also got lucky with a close parking spot, because honestly the LaCenterra area is a madhouse on weekends. While we came during brunch, they still had their main dinner menu available to order from. However, brunch food is my favorite so I stuck with it and got the Cajun omelette along with French toast. The omelette was great, and it was my first time trying a Cajun style one. I also enjoyed the potatoes and cornbread it came with. The French toast was a little less desirable with the type of bread they used (French bread instead of typical sliced toast). Otherwise, I was very pleased with my meal. I would love to come back and try some more items from their regular menu, including trying their famous oysters for the first time. Based on my brunch experience though, I recommend this Rouxpour location in Katy.
I thought I did a review already but Food was amazing. Gumbo was salty just a tad bit. Service was 10/10. I loved my waitress. She did an exquisite Job at explaining everything I asked her. Ambiance was dim but live if that make since. Nice time with my child
This was a nice spot good scenery inside and out. Mix of couples on date night and families. Bar tender Audrianny was very pleasant and personable. We move to a table for three and the service was good. The oysters are BIG and first time I had fire grilled oysters. I had a 1/2 dozen one of my friends had raw which I tasted and it was good. You come to TX for steak and this one was good. I've had plenty better but this was good. I could have used a little more flavor but I didn't need to add sauce or anything. Cooked to order (medium). Red cabbage was decent as well and I like they had Caymus by the glass.

We visited for my husband's birthday after I saw a post on social media. Needless to say, it did not disappoint!! From start to finish, the evening was a success. We arrived prior to our reservation and they seated us right away. Our server was great!! She was pleasant and patient with us as this was our first time here. She went over the specials and offered to repeat if we needed her to. She gave us time to browse the menu and decide on what we wanted. We started with the deviled eggs and chargrilled oysters as appetizers. For the entrees, we had the Boudin Stuffed Chicken and the Zydeco Chicken. Both dishes were fantastic, flavorful, and filling. We are already looking forward to our next visit!! read more

My daughters and I chose Rouxpour for our annual Mothers Day event. We made a reservation and arrived a bit early. We were quickly seated and greeted by our server Danny. Since it was Mother's Day, there were more tables than usual making the dining space tight and hard to maneuver for the guests and staff. Danny quickly took our drink orders and then our food orders. They had a special menu for Mother's Day, and still offered their full menu as well. We opted for the chargrilled oysters and deviled eggs with shrimp for appetizers, scallops, ettoufe , and asparagus with jumbo lump crab for entrees. All the food was still the excellent quality provided on many of my visits. Half way through the meal and prior to our entrees coming, a party of 8 arrived and I asked if we could move to a vacant table along the back windows to give the group more space and the staff graciously accommodated us and helped us move. Lunch date for Labor Day. I like this location because it has a nice outdoor patio area and a nice bar area. Our waiter Tyler was great and very accommodating. We had a half dozen chargrilled oysters that were delicious but smaller than usual. We had the lunch portion of the creamy pasta with shrimp and the pork ribeye and both were delicious. The pasta could use more sauce and the potatoes with the ribeye were slightly overcooked this time. The drinks are always in point!!! We finished it with the crème brûlée and it was good. Over it was a good experience. The parking is free as well. read more

The Rouxpour was such a delightful surprise. Our server Ryland was so knowledgable. Her description of the food has my mouth watering! We love New Orleans, so the flavor, style, and charm of Cajun cuisine near our new home was a welcome treat. From chargrilled oysters, a New Orleans favorite, to seared scallops with lemon butter and caper sauce topped with crab meat! Oh my! Excellent. We sat, sipped, and ate here twice today! read more
Back again! I made the reservation on Open Table for outside, but temperature looked to be less comfortable in the evening. A very pleasant and helpful lady changed us to inside with a quick phone call. This time service (Adrianna and Nicholas) was much more attentive. This is a lovely place with a calm and classy vibe... inside or out. The food was fabulous as usual. read more

Been here twice, but this time they used a dress code that i didnt violate to not let me & my date in, typically ive seen this used to deny service to black people my brothas and sisters go down to Ambriza instead the owner is always very nice and the food is a bit better and cost less read more

I usually go to the location in memorial city however we were closer to this location on this day and decided to give them a try. We went in just for the oysters and as always very satisfied! Service was great and food was as well. Their Mocktail was soooo refreshing! read more
We tried this place for dinner the other night. We tried a number of appetizers including their BBQ Shrimp, Asparagus with Crab, Grilled Oysters, and Crab and Corn Chowder. All were good. The BBQ Shrimp were not in a "Buttery" sauce like in NOLA, but it was pretty good. I had the Fried Shrimp dinner. It was a large portion. The shrimp were a bit over cooked, but otherwise pretty good. Service was spot on and it's a nice setting. read more

My husband and I came here once before but it was later and they were kinda shutting down so we wanted to try it again because I really wanted to get some oysters. We found a nice spot at the bar and Sean was very helpful and on point with his knowledge of the menu and things to try. He explained that the oysters they had for the evening were Gulf Oysters from Region 22. That was helpful. I felt that he was a very solid bartender. I ordered the Texas Blueberry Martini which was refreshing and a nice choice. My husband tried a few tastings that they were very helpful with before settling on their Roxpour Private Label White which he really enjoyed. Most of the time, House private labels are more hype than substance so this was a nice surprise. This review is kind of a "Work In Progress," and open for additional comments in the future when we return because all I got were oysters and they were fine but nothing special. I feel like their highlights are the oysters that are prepared like the Chargrilled more than raw oysters. They were maybe a 5 out of a 10. Their regular menu looks good but it's heavy. If I had any suggestions, it would be to have some additional small plates for those who are going lighter and just want some apps. Here, it's kinda go big or go home. We would have tried other things if they are available. Just my $0.02. We will return again because the atmosphere was fun. read more

Late Galentines dinner with the girls! I've only been to Rouxpour once during brunch, which was over 5 years ago. Decided to give it a try with just vibes. Didn't know happy hour was until 6:30, which was great because we planned for a 6pm dinner. It was actually pretty empty, but the place definitely started to fill up after 7-7:30. Since it was happy hour , I decided to try a little bit of everything. The boudin balls were well flavored and had a great crunch to it. I like the "Christ" eggs with shrimp and sausage on it , but it was a little salty. The cup seafood gumbo was actually pretty good, just wished it came with more rice. My friend got the regular size seafood gumbo and received the same amount I had for a cup. Overall, lovely restaurant. Definitely on the pricer side. read more

Upon arriving at Ror, we were met with pleasant aromas and a lively atmosphere. Several hostesses greeted us amicably and seated us right away - which was a surprise with the busy surroundings outside as well as being 7pm on a Friday night. Our server Rachel came right away and was sweet as pie. She shared with us the specials, one of which was a scallop appetizer atop mushroom risotto and topped with lump crab meat and bure blanc. Although the risotto was on the salty side, both the scallops and the risotto were cooked to perfection! She also shared the rib eye special topped with crab and shrimp with crawfish Mac and cheese (that was DIVINE - perfectly creamy and flavorful, one of my favorite things of the evening, actually), and honey glazed carrots, which was what my hubby chose. I chose the sea bass (recommended by Rachel, and she was right!), with chimmichurri rice, honey glazed carrots, and topped with limp crab and shrimp. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, yet again! These guys know how to cook their seafood! Nothing was overdone or worse, leathery and dry. Everything was complimented well, though two dishes with rice was too much for me, in hindsight I should have subbed the chimmi rice for something else. Hubby had a lovely cab from Caramel road that was very jammy, and I asked about mocktails and was told their bloody mix was outstanding and it DID NOT disappoint, and I'm picky! Lastly, for dessert, we decided to take the duo to go bread pudding on the bananas foster and just had them leave the ice cream off. Even warmed in a pan the next day, it was really great together. I gave them a 4 star because the ambiance and atmosphere was loud and difficult to have a conversation, the tables were really close together and even the staff struggled to squeeze between our table and another, the salty risotto detracted from the perfection of the scallop (and I'm a cook, so I get it, it depends on who's cooking your food), but I'd give them a 4.5 if I could because Rachel was an absolute gem and made our visit absolutely lovely in the service department! Overall, it was a great place, I'd love to come back around lunch and try the oysters, I hear they're great! read more

Came here with a friend for drinks and when I tell you...the vibes were everything! The music, the atmosphere, and even the bartender were superb. I ordered the blueberry martini, and hands down it was the BEST drink I've had all year. Perfect balance of flavor and presentation. Definitely adding this to my go-to spots for a good time! read more

Yes, they normally serve crawfish Thursday through Sunday and it's 6.99 a pound.
