Friendly, clean, great food, even better service. Wish it was closer to home in Tomball! Definitely worth a detour if you're driving through the area. Will be back and excited to try more food. We ordered chicken fried steak, butterfly shrimp, gulf platter, original burger and chicken tenders. Everyone was more than pleased and enjoyed every last bite. Also- even more importantly... COLD BEER. Can't wait to come back and try their crawfish.

This place is a hidden and I do mean hidden gem! The outside looks like nothing special. So you come inside and take a right into heaven....well again get past the"dive bar" look and have a seat! I highly and I mean highly recommend the bayou platter dear Lord it was amazing! I so recommend this place and the food. It homey and well downright Texas awesomeness! Our server Mark was wonderful, thanks Mark!

Crayfish with corn and red potatoes

Took some time to drive there from Sugar Land. The parking lot was packed with cars around the Repka's store. This is due to KPRC2 broadcast of the store on Bucket List. There was a long wait(20 minutes) to get our order in. There were about another long wait for the food. One of my son received his order first, 3lbs crayfish with corn and red potatoes and the rest of our orders arrived in 15 minutes. The plates were large portion and the fried oysters were very good. If Repka's was not that far away, we would go a few more times.

Pool tables, juke box, and arcade games.

The food is amazing! The interior and exterior Lon like a place you would see on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Don't let the visuals turn you away from this place. We started with the boudin balls. They were fantastic! The boudin was like the ultimate comfort food. We also got the pork cracklings. Those were great (just not for those who have texture issues with foods, like my youngest). 3 of us got the bayou platter and 1 got the gulf platter. There was so much food on the bayou platter that we had no choice but to bring home the extra alligator and crawfish. The Navy bean side tastes amazing as well. The jalapeño hush puppies work well with crawfish and catfish. We couldn't have been more happy finding this place today.

Ask the Community - Repka's

Is it dog friendly?

I did not see any dogs inside the main dining area, but there is a big covered eating area in the back of the place that looks to be.

Anybody know if Repka's is smoke free?

Pretty sure there is a smoking section and a no smoking section. Haven't been back lately tho so might have changed. Hasn't been a problem when I've been there. And it would bother me if it was.

I always enjoy visiting this cafe on my annual visit to the area for the Houston rodeo. Brookwood…read moreis a residential facility that also provides vocational training and for jobs to adults with special needs. The cafe serves excellent lunches with a varied menu. I had salad that was stuffed with fresh lettuce, apples, candied pecans, blue cheese and a delicious apple vinaigrette dressing. I added grilled chicken, making it a healthy, yet filling meal. My friend had the chicken crepes which came with thick, beautiful asparagus and broccoli. The crepes were served with a mushroom cream sauce that made it a very rich dish. The chicken tortellini soup was the special of the day, and had a thick broth as the base, stuffed with chicken meat and cheese filled pasta. Everything was delicious, right down to the warm yeast rolls. Brookwood is a fun place to walk around after enjoying your meal because it has a beautiful nursery and gift shop with unique offerings, including some items made in the vocational programs. Many of the employees in the cafe and other commercial areas are part of the vocational programs, as well. All of them are friendly and proud to serve their patrons and supporters.

We started off with some great appetizers: note - most of these were off the menu specials for that night. Texas wagyu Thai meatballs - 10/10 - amazing Croquettes - 10/10 - crispy and delicious Shrimp and burrata -10/10 - nice combination Drink: the red sangria was 10/10 - so refreshing! Entree: I ordered the halibut special. The halibut was buttery with a nice flaky crust. It was accompanied by mashed potatoes with a chorizo cream sauce. This was outstanding!!! They should really make this part of the regular menu. I 100% recommend it if you hear it on the off menu specials. Side: Mac and cheese and we added a lobster tail - 9/10 - was super tasty. Desserts: Spiced rum bread pudding - 10/10 - this is THE only dessert you need to get. Key lime pie - 7/10 - good Coconut cream pie - 9/10 - I thought this was very yummy! It has a cool country vibe. We sat outside and the live music was great! The only thing is that it is very hot, so if you don't like that. I recommend sitting inside. Service was a 10/10. Our server, Steven, was awesome. He had some terrific recommendations and everything was spot on. Def recommend trying this place out.

It's very cute and has a country-like, warm, welcoming vibe. Cons: the main food lacked flavor (chicken, roast, calamari, bread, steak), service wasn't friendly and it's expensive. I'm not a fan and won't be back, definitely not worth the drive or price.

What a great dining experience! This was my first time here. I was heading into heavy rush-hour…read moretraffic, so I decided to avoid it and stop to have a good meal before heading home. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

While we completely understand wanting to protect expensive furniture, the tone and delivery came across as rude and made our entire table feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. On the other hand, I want to recognize our waiter, who was excellent throughout the meal. Raymond was attentive, friendly, and did his best to make us feel comfortable again after the interaction with the manager. His professionalism and kindness were the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food also fell short of expectations. In particular, I would not recommend the mussels. The flavor was unpleasant and left a very bad aftertaste, making them one of the least enjoyable dishes we ordered. Good customer service isn't just about enforcing rules--it's about how those rules are communicated. Unfortunately, the manager's approach, combined with the disappointing food, overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.
