The restaurant is well designed, decorated, clean and inviting. They offer good number of TVs to watch sports too. You can dine inside and outside. Food and drinks: Outstanding in both areas. We are thrilled to have found this organic food eatery. Its farm to table organic certified style is what attracted us the most. The food selection was great and foods ordered were presented well and prepared with care. All dishes were well seasoned and had good flavours. Using flour from Italy for making in-house pizza is worth noting. We didn't try their cocktails but they looked good on the menu. Will give it a go next time. We had a great girls night here. It was loud and crowded. The charcuterie board was great for starters. Pizza was crispy and filling. The burger and fries were good and so was the chicken shwarma wrap. We ended the night with a banana bread pudding which was rich and delicious and shared by all. Went to late lunch with friends last Sunday. I love the fact this restaurant have nice bar with many TVs to watch all the football games in my state. The restaurant has several options and I like the fact they have HH specials each day of the week. Service is always good and food is fresh. I really like the flat bread pizzas. After 2 failed attempts of giving this restaurant a shot, I will no longer be back to this location. I have been to multiple on the Kirb restaurants in Houston and had great experiences, but katy is not up to the other location standards. The first time I came to Katy , it wasn't busy but took over an hour to order. People who came after us finished eating by the time we just placed our order. We were told this was due to a shift change between the waiters. Well when I came this past Saturday, I will say the service was better but the food was not. We ordered baked wings that were chewy, hard, and stale in my opinion. We ended up switching them to the truffle fries which were not hot when we received them. I had the sausage breakfast tacos which were off the brunch menu. The potatoes on there were cold and hard. The taco itself was okay but so much juices on it that it started to get soggy. Not a good experience, and I hope they can fix this location to be like the others. read more

It's only been a handful of years since On The Kirb has graced the Katy / Fulshear scene, but it's clear this is one of the most impressive locations in their growing empire. Most folks are taken by how enormous this place is but I would also venture to say the food is solid, the ambiance is festive, and the service is excellent. This has be one of, if not *the* largest location of OTK that I've ever seen. There is ample seating in every direction with extensive indoor and outdoor seating, making this the ultimate group friendly spot watch a game, eat a meal, drink to one's content, or really, all of the above. The bar is equally impressive, with a number of local taps and a nice inventory of quality booze on display. The bartenders are young, hip, and upbeat and the servers are energetic and eager to serve. Their happy hour specials are dine-in only, which include a $2 discount to all drinks, $16 bottles of vino, and a smattering of $10 or less bar bites. In terms of the food, I was mostly happy with everything I've sampled from their abundant pile of nachos to their super tasty grass fed ribeye. The latter was perfectly cooked at a light medium rare, with enough juices and the perfect pink of meat that I could ask for. I also have high regard for their seafood, salad, and burgers. The pizza is a bit of a miss for me, as are the tacos and desserts. It probably does well in a pinch for most comfort food seekers, but I'll favor the other items before returning to these ones. I'm aware of their giant pretzels, brunch specialty items, and wraps, but those will be for another day. While it's not the sexiest location (near the highway, in a Lowe's parking lot, etc) and somewhat off the beaten path (#1), it's a place that should satisfy the needs of the average food / drink / entertainment seeker. Tried On The Kirb on a Friday night. Even though it was busy, we got seated right away. Our server was really friendly and we ended up both getting burgers as our meal. It was definitely very loud and crowded but they also had TVs going with games so if you wanted a bar atmosphere, it's a good place to go. I ended up getting the bacon cambozola burger, which had combozola cheese, onions, and fig balsamic. It had an interesting flavor to it - the cheese was very creamy, but it paired well with the burger and the bacon. I think I wanted more of the fig balsamic. Definitely a unique burger. I enjoyed a glass of Pinot noir and the chips and dips appetizer. The appetizer included crispy fresh tortilla chips accompanied with queso, guacamole, and salsa. Service was quite excellent as it often is! I would say the only negative was that I wanted to sit out in the patio but was told it was closed for renovation of landscaping and cleaning. I asked if it would open later and was assured that it would not be open. I booked a birthday brunch for four through OpenTable for 12:30 p.m. on 3/22/2026, and what should have been a relaxed celebration turned into a nearly 3-hour service disaster. We arrived around 12:20 p.m. and were first taken to a high-top bar table. I asked whether we could sit in a booth instead, and although one nearby only needed to be cleaned, the hostess said no with a noticeably dismissive attitude. Not a great start, but we moved on. Our waiter eventually came by and took drink orders for the two of us who arrived first. No water was offered. By the time the other two in our party arrived, we still had no drinks. Their drink order was taken when the first drinks were finally delivered by another server. We also ordered an appetizer and one to-go meal for a husband at home so it wouldn't be forgotten later. From there, everything unraveled. The appetizer showed up much later, along with the to-go order, which then sat in a container for the rest of this entire ordeal. We still had not received water until we had to ask for it again. We placed our brunch orders, then sat and watched multiple tables around us get seated, served, eat, and leave while we still had no food. We checked on the order more than once. At around 2 hours and 20 minutes in, our waiter finally admitted that it was his third day, our order had been delivered to the wrong table, and the kitchen was "swamped." At that point, a bar manager and assistant manager came over and were apologetic. They comped the tab, gave us four $50 gift cards, and promised the next visit would also be on them. I appreciated the apology, but by then this was a birthday brunch that had already gone completely off the rails. Then, somehow, it got worse. Before our actual food arrived, staff brought out a giant dessert board and we sang happy birthday. Nice gesture, except we still had no brunch. Then, about 20 minutes later, our food finally appeared in bags, packed in to-go containers, even though the guest of honor had specifically said she wanted to eat there. Eggs do not belong served cold from a box after a 3-hour wait. One person in our group opened hers and tried to eat it anyway. Cold. I took mine home and threw it away. The managers did what they could at the end, and I give them credit for trying to recover a completely failed experience. But this was one of the worst restaurant service experiences I've had in years. A birthday brunch should not require this much patience, this many follow-ups, or this much damage control. I will not be back. Too many great options in the area - pick somewhere else. read more
