We have been coming to Da vinci's restaurant for quite some time. Have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here and have always been pleased with service and food. But today was different . It was our 14yr anniversary and we made a reservation at da Vinci's for 7pm. Arrived at 7pm and was seated immediately. The problem was our service, it took over 40 mins to get an appetizer, and our main dishes were not served to us till 8:24!! I know the time, because we waited for soo long, I kept checking the time. Not only did our server never come around to check on us, but the Pappardelle Aragosta (seafood pasta) was nothing like it used to be. No lump crab meat, no lump lobster meat, and skimpy on the shrimp. It was shredded crab and small pieces of lobster with only 3 shrimp. I was so disappointed in the food and the way it is managed. 1 server for 15 tables. He was apologetic and nice, but it really does hurt the customer. Please help the server and get someone to help with Togo orders, drinks and dessert. This guys was so overworked. We usually stay for dessert because they make it so special, but we left because god knows how long that would have taken to get . Highly disappointed how it's run now. Hope management can fix this problem.

Great service, very clean and well organized, the food is definitely the best in Katy when it coming to flavor! I enjoyed every course. Not leaving a bite left. First time blew my mind so I'd love to come back soon! Thank you to Da Vinci's!!!!

Italian restaurants of this type and setting is a dying form nowadays. Specials are painfully orally read out to you by the waiter (takes like, 5 minutes to go through them all) and the ambiance is very cozy and seating is limited. I will say, eating in is SLOW, this isn't a place to go in and out of. Seating was also a terrible experience as they have no proper hostess/system that I can tell They have a cheaper regular menu and also a really cheap to-go-only course menu. I have had the to-go offerings and its night and day from the actual special courses... in a bad way, this would be a 3 star based on my to-go experience. I recommend the Pappardelle Aragosta as this is their most tasty dish and one of the only pasta dishes where the pasta is made fresh in house and not just brought in. Would I Go Out of My Way to Try? Yes, while to-go is tempting, not worth it Would I Return? Yes Ambiance- 9/10 Food Taste- 9/10 Service- 8/10 Value- 7/10

So we were craving some pasta and settled on ordering delivering from this place. They have a great carryout special for $20. Includes an app, starter and dessert. I ordered the lobster bisque, tortellini, and tiramisu. Fiance ordered a salad, spaghetti and cheesecake. Order was well packed, but we were not given the cheesecake that we ordered which was upsetting. 1 star gone for that. My lobster bisque was delicious, as mentioned on the site it also has mixed seafood in it. How much actual lobster was in it was hard to tell, but I was very happy with it. As for my tortellini, it was just ok? We went and dined in years ago and thought the quality and taste were amazing. This dish was lacking in uniqueness and flavor. To put it blunty I could've made this at home or gone to the frozen food section at a store for the exact same thing. Wasn't impressed at all. Tiramisu was just ok but satisfying enough. Maybe dining in yields better results or maybe it was just an off night for them. I won't bother ordering online again, but maybe I'd give it chance again in person.

Presentation of the platters/bowls was great! I love how they used natural earthy designs. I kinda like how everyone in there had a different style (color, size, shape) of bowl for soups etc. The Food itself was hit or miss for me! Calamari needed better breading and to be cooked a little longer. But the Redfish was delightful. Minestrone just wasn't my cup of soup, but thats not one I would normally order however I'm lactose intolerant so cream bases are not happening. My husband really enjoyed his meal.

This place is an absolute hidden gem! I've dined in several times & have always had a great experience. This review is for their takeout menu/service only For $15.95, you get a 3-course meal that is fantastic and is a good value. They have multiple entree options, not as many as in-house dining, but enough of a selection. The house salad looks & tastes like they put their bruschetta on top of lettuce, added cucumbers & olives and called it salad. I didn't even use the Italian dressing & it was so tasty. In addition to 3 courses, they also provide toasted bread slices with 2 types of spreads. Again just good. My lasagna entree was good, meaty & very cheesy. Not a lot of red sauce if that's your thing but it was ample enough for me. The very healthy portion size makes it an even better value because I will get another meal from it. The tiramisu was ok. I didn't prefer the chocolate chips topping. When I first discovered the 3 course meal during the pandemic (2021/early 2022), it was $13.95 but even for $15.95 now, it's still a great deal. When you want a satisfying, high quality, meal at home, order a takeout from DaVinci! And of course, if you want to dine in, you will find many more appetizer & entree options than what's on the to-go menu. It's small & quaint inside so make a reservation.

The service I received tonight has been the best service I've ever experienced in Houston, TX. From the explanation of every item on the special menu to personal dessert recommendations, our preferences were taken into consideration and what was just a regular date night for us was made to feel very special. The food was great - there were so many options to choose from, classics like fettuccine alfredo, or you could get their signature dish like me, and if you're a seafood lover you will be in for a wonderful experience. The ambience was really fun, too, although the heart-shaped stuff was a little over the top for my taste.

My coworker recommended this restaurant to us for our anniversary last year and we loved it. We decided we would be coming here every year. This was our second time eating here and we really loved the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Everything is really cute. Thank you Brian for such a nice experience today!

I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday around 9. We were able to get to our table within 10 minutes. The ambiance was romantic and cozy with heart theme throughout. The service was great. Extremely knowledgeable waiter who made great wine and pasta recommendations. We got the lasagna bolognese and a penne pasta with sausage and red sauce (I forgot the name). Both came out super hot and they came by with more parma to put on top. Delicious food, attentive waiter, and romantic ambiance make this place a 5/5. Was not going to come because of some recent bad reviews but I'm really glad I ignored them. Give this place a chance!

First thing to know, if you have a reservation, you probably won't get seated until about 20 minutes afterwards. This is a fairly tiny restaurant and the food and experience is so great that people aren't in a rush to leave. So pack your patience, but it's worth it! From the outside you wouldn't expect the inside of the location to be so highly decorated. Feels like you've walked right into Italy. Once you finally get seated the waiter will run through their entire menu that's drawn on chalk boards and changes everyday. They will be happy to elaborate on anything, so don't hesitate to ask if you missed any details. There truly isn't a bad item on their menu. It leans more seafood but there are definitely steak and chicken dishes. Make room for desert. Most of them are truly a spectacle to see!

We ordered some flatbread for the table (variety of 3) and they were somewhat underwhelming, neither warm nor cold, and appeared to have just had items dropped on top of them. Having ordered them once (to go) from this location as well as in-house at the Town & Country location, where they were very good both times, somebody was just a little off their game today. We also ordered shakshuka, which was very good and wiped away the memory of the less than stellar flatbread. I would definitely return here again and try other things.

Similar to other recently opened venues that serve beer on tap and feature both indoor and outdoor spaces, there is something available for all ages in your party. Though parking is free in their lot, it does quickly fill up as the evening progresses. Our friends had reserved a few tables outside, but it also turned out to be the coldest day of the year, so we ended up settling inside. We sampled sliders, hot dogs, flat breads, pizza, pretzels, nachos, and chicken lollipops, which were served in metal catering trays along a long table. All the food items that were ordered were good. We did not order anything to drink, but the servers did a great job of coming by our tables to see if we needed anything throughout the evening, and he had quite a large party. The outdoor space is pretty large, with open areas of turf for lawn games and kids to run around. There is also ample outdoor seating, with a few food trucks along the outer part of the venue. Not sure if these are left out year-round, but they had these fire pit space heater/light sources between the tables that provided a nice touch to the outdoor space, especially as the evening grew darker. Although we don't live nearby, this was a great spot to celebrate a birthday, hang out with friends, date night, etc. I definitely recommend this place if you live on this side of town.

A few days later I called again and asked if there were any other tables were available and was told the same thing. The day before I happened to be in the area and walked in and spoke to a lady and I was told that she couldn't make any changes to the tables without her manger there I was even shown the table we will seating at. We arrived on Valentine's 10 mins earlier at the restaurant and were seated at the reserved table. Everything was fine. Our waiter was good. Up until the table next to us was seated to a different table before they sat down. At the same time the musicians were setting up right behind my husband. I mean right behind him. In which we called over the manager Jorge Rosales to see if we can change tables. He seemed very dismissive and stated that this is the table we reserved. I then went to the ladies at The Who were no use at all. Finally they a lady with glasses found a table. This all being said the menu was prefixed at $94 a person. The service was wonderful and everything came out quickly. I tried the oysters which were my least favorite out of everything I tried. The onions take away the flavor of the oysters. Then I tried the unagi sushi and that one was okay it tasted like some other sushi rolls I've had. It was good it just didn't stand out. Then I tried the brown sugar scallops which the scallops are a big size and in like a thick soup like cream. It reminded me of clam chowder. I don't know if I would order it again but it is worth a try. I tried the foie gras and this was torched and I loved the texture where it melted in my mouth. However, the flavors were a bit weird I guess they're going for a fruity flavor but it just doesn't work together especially the dried strawberry on top. I tried the tomato kanapaccio and that one was good for a vegetable. I thought that blended well with all of the flavors. Then my favorite was the hamachi kosho it's spicy from the Serrano peppers but that kick is just what I needed in a hamachi. My next favorite was the miso cod. The miso cod had some bones in it but the fish was so soft and practically fell off the bone. The Brussel sprouts were good as well. It didn't stand out but it just tasted like other places nothing special. I also tried the sashimi belly flight, bluefin flight, and salmon flight. You can get these in nigiri with but I believe you get fewer slices(3 or 2) The belly flight was my favorite. It had 3 different fishes and my favorite on that spread was the o toro. The weather will do whatever it will, but the menu remains seasonal with old favorites like the diced shrimp tempura (an absolute must), and new favorites. The fact that I could've been eating the broccoli katsu this entire time is absurd, and that white chili aioli can and should go on everything, especially the shrimp tempura. As obvious as the casual polish present is, Tobiuo is such an approachable, welcoming establishment. Staff is so friendly and accommodating, allergies are even asked upfront so the meal can be appropriately modified, and the 2 - 5 pm happy hour menu is nothing to scoff at.
