Adriatic Café is the BEST in town! I ordered chicken Parmesan and the pasta sampler, and both dishes were absolutely decadent. I cannot wait to eat the pasta sampler again, delicious! Be sure to get it with Alfredo sauce, takes it to a whole another level. The service was excellent, and I've always had great experiences here. This visit was yet another wonderful one. They have pretty good lunch menu. But man, their garlic knots were the HIGHLIGHT!!! I ate 3 before my calzone came out. And honestly after the garlic knots, the calzone was underwhelming. It was good and MASSIVE, but the garlic knots stole the show. I think it's a cute little place for lunch, and I would love to try their pasta next time I visit. read more

Waited an hour for our food to never arrive. Watched 3 tables around us get seated and served. Around the 45 minute mark asked about our food only to be told it would be a few minutes. Long story short, he didn't put our order in until we asked. We told him to get a manager, and he never did. Had to tell another employee to get one. read more

Wow, second attempt here. Look, if you want real authentic Italian food then this is it by far and I've traveled the world. This place is 10 stars, 20 stars. Everything made with love of their food and simply way over the top. The chicken Alfredo was so amazing with a beautiful creamy Alfredo sauce as if the cow made it itself with love for its calf. The lasagna, oh my, such a treat compared to the regular American lasagna, this is legit and you will think you are actually in Italy after first bite so make sure you have someone with you to remind you are still here. The garlic buns are incredible that come with your meal, not garlic bread or toast like here but soft buttery garlicy buns that are such an amazing side. This place is a gem in Katy. We moved to the area last year and had been trying out different places . Read all the good reviews so we decided to give this a go- very surprised but in a not good way. Pluses- It's an independent structure along side of freeway so it's relatively easy access with plenty of parking. We got seated right away during dinner rush and our wait staff was very attentive. The decor is very typical of like a casual dining place but doesn't feel crowded. Negatives- I am not sure how anyone can say that this is the best Italian food they have ever had. Maybe we went on an off day,however, we did not enjoy the food. We had calamari and fried mozzarella as appetizers, which I thought was pretty standard. However, the calamari tasted a bit like freezer burn and was very hard, not like a true tender crunch. We also had a kid meatball spaghetti, and 2 other pasta dish- they are decent portions and we took a lot home but they all tasted the same in the sense they you can taste clearly the tomato sauce ( duh) but don't have a lot of other flavors. Unfortunately, the verdict from us is that we would rather visit a chain like Carrabba's. Again, it can very well be what we prefer. read more

I've been here a few times and have really enjoyed the food. The pizza and calzone are my go-tos. My family had the Italian sub, chicken parmesan sub, and the lasagna. My son said the marinara taste was too much for the lasagna but the subs were good. The Italian margarita is a must have. Our server Yashar was great. Update: it's been about a year since I ate here. And I remember thinking it was really good, and we even got it to go one time and I think the bread is amazing. It's unique. But this last time we went on kids eat free day and when he brought me my ticket, the kids meal price was still on there. So I told him and asked for some bread to go, and he took the ticket away, but he came back and the price of kids meal was still on there. Like he hadn't changed it at all. But also, did not get my salad with my beef lasagna which is didn't realize until looking at menu later, it was supposed to be included. Just overall, not impressed with this trip. Three were made: 1 server took the wrong dish, 2d server brought the wrong dish, 3-the manager's vocabulary doesn't include the words, "I'm sorry." Great service, great portion sizes, chill ambiance. Went here on a double date with some friends. We were seated as soon as we came in, it was around 3pm on a Sunday and wasn't too busy. Got our drinks quickly and we were checked on consistently to see if we were ready to order. We ordered a garlic bread as an appetizer and I thought it was fantastic. For myself I ordered the penne alla vodka. It's not the best I've ever tried, simply put it lacked a bit in flavor. It's not unique enough for me to bring up if I were to think of vodka pasta that I've loved. It was yummy though, and seeing as the portions are huge I had plenty to take home for a late night dinner. I'd be willing to come back and try more of their menu though (they do have LOTS of options) since our friends have gone to this place atleast a few times and enjoy it. The grilled chicken I added to my pasta was very yummy though! All 4 of us did enjoy our meal. Waitress was really nice, checked on us every now and then. Ok so tonight was definitely the last nail in the coffin. First and foremost Houston does not have a large Italian community like other places in the northeast or Midwest so our good Italian food is basically a fusion so it's easy to get away with mid Italian food like whatever Sysco, Martin, Ben E. Keith, etc food distributors have to offer. So everything served here is basically frozen. Garlic knot bread comes frozen, the ravioli I ate tonight were definitely frozen, my wife's dish the Alex Special definitely had frozen chicken you can tell by the flavor and consistency it was rubbery. Now what I do like are the margaritas, they serve them strong, so good. read more

We ordered more this time, we had the calamari, all meat pizza, chicken carbonara. Baked ziti and beef lasagna. Honestly, everything tastes SALTY. We didn't realize until mid and our throat beginning to feel something is off. We had to drink a lot of water. What happened Adriatic? What a hidden gem! This is our new favorite Italian spot. The food portions are great sizes for an amazing price. We typically order their baked ziti and pasta with red sauce and it never disappoints. Their bread is amazing too, never skip on that! I owe Adriatic Cafe an apology. After flying and traveling from the East Coast all day, I was finally home. I was hungry. I ordered DoorDash from Adriatic Cafe'. Apparently, I did not read the menu closely. I was expecting just Marinara with Mushrooms but received got a meat-laden spaghetti, complete with meat sauce, a huge meatball, and sausage...and mushrooms. I was really disappointed. (Doh! The dish I ordered was called Spaghetti The Works!?!?) I will say -- once I picked out the sausage and the meatball -- I enjoyed the spaghetti. By the way, their garlic twist bread and the perfectly crafted Cannoli are heavenly! I probably will order again. This time I'll pay a little closer attention to the menu descriptions. This is a newish Italian restaurant right off I-10. The menu was well laid out and had lots of choices. Went there with a group of 8 and we didn't ask for Separate checks. I had the chicken picatta and also ordered a salad. They brought some very good bread for the table and when it was gone they brought more. They brought the entrees. I told my server to never mind with the salad since I had the entree. He came back and said it was on the pass and no one brought it out. The entree was ok, you expect it to be very lemony and have capers it was neither. It was actually very bland. So when we were done and before the check came an employee brought the gray bin around and bussed the table. He did it on several other table that still guests I found this very unusual. Service was OK, but the food was great. The off-menu stuffed flounder was the hit of dinner. Pizza was decent, and the kids options were plentiful an just the right size for kids.
