Very nice interior

Wow! I was genuinely surprised by how nice this restaurant was, considering the location. The inside is so nice! Beautiful wooden tables and colorful. I saw a stage setup, assuming they probably have live music on weekends? We came during lunchtime to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was busy but not too crazy. I will say, the service was pretty slow for the number of people in the restaurant. It took us a while to place an order for drinks and appetizers. I will break down everything we ordered -Pork Rinds: Very crispy, its tasty buy the portion size is a bit small for an app in my opinion -Calamari Rings: They were good, loved the dipping sauce that it came with - Beef Espetada: They bring out the beef on a big metal skewer. Once tableside, they spread garlic butter on the meat, remove it from the skewer, and serve it on a plate. This cut of meat was really tasty. It was my fav of the dishes I tried -12 oz New York Strip with fries and mashed potatoes: The steak is drizzled with chimichurri and a creamy white sauce. It's a good steak, really thick, so take that into consideration -12 oz New York Da Silva with asparagus and plantains: This steak is SMOTHERED in cheese. It was good, but its A LOT of cheese. The asparagus was yummy, I loved the taste of the sauce it was cooked in -Caesar Salad with Crispy Chicken: The salad was very fresh, very green. The crispy chicken is their chicken tenders, cut up. The salad and chicken were really good, but there was barely any dressing, and the way the lettuce was cut up made it very hard to eat with a fork. I would need to scoop my lettuce because the for wasn't picking it up. Definitely ask for extra dressing; they only drizzle the dressing on top of the salad -Homemade Quesillo: This is like a flan/cheesecake dessert. Textured like custard. This dessert was yummy -Da Silva Brownie: Nice and warm, solid brownie Carajillo: ¡BOMB! I love a good carajillo. I love how they added coffee beans to the ice, which makes the drink look so pretty Overall, I would recommend this place. I would recommend getting a reservation depending on the time of day. This shopping center gets busy in the evenings and on weekends. I have two complaints, however 1. Service was really slow. Even getting the bill took about 15 min after we finished eating 2. The charge for the birthday brownie, I would have thought the dessert would be free.

Not quite there ... Service and atmosphere: The restaurant looks very nice inside. Dark, modern decor with great layout and overall design. We had high expectations because of that. Service was okay. Our server was forgetful and we had to ask for what was ordered but not delivered. He was apologetic which was polite of him. Food and drinks: Menu items looked good on paper. Execution and taste wasn't there. The side beans came burnt and we had to replace it with other side. New York strip steak was cooked as requested but the texture of the meat wasn't good. $33 price point for the steak was too much given the quality and pricing from other restaurants around. Grilled chicken breast was borderline dry. Pricing: $$$ - we couldn't justify it given quality of food at the time of our visit.

Big and noisy but nice inside. Daily specials are a very good deal with soup/salad, entree and dessert included. Staff is accommodating and quite lovely. Food overall was fine. Had the rib eye for 2 and it was cooked well!!

Beautiful Christmas decorations inside: friendly staff. Ordered to go. steak was just OK with a bit too much fat, and the special salad wasn't very fresh. I was charged $14 for a virgin mojito

Halloween Decor. He greets you at the door.

First time at Venezuelan restaurant and I have to say it went pretty well. Only 1 hiccup with the kitchen, granted one of us had to have part of her entree to go. It was not the server, but the kitchen. The ambiance is a fun and family type place , but at 10:00 to 2:am they have a band and party atmosphere. Fun if you're looking for a late night spot. I would recommend this place to anyone near the Katy /I-10 area looking for a nice evening out.

Overpriced not worth it appetizers aren't worth it literally over charged us for them and and messed up most of our order and had issues with the order for my family I don't recommend them and will not be coming back

This is one of the best Venezuelan restaurants in the Houston area! LOCATION DaSilva Steakhouse is located in a centrally located restaurant strip mall in Katy (just west of Houston, TX) with plenty of free outdoor parking. The vibe has a sophisticated and family friendly feel to it. Common areas and restrooms were clean. SERVICE The service is professional, helpful and all staff is diverse and fully bilingual. MENU The menu offers quite a few options of traditional Venezuelan food. I ordered the special cachapa, pork rind (chicharron), fried arepas and the fried cheese. Everything was delicious! There is also a full bar with a few options of specialty cocktails. Overall, 100% recommended!

The ambiance is nice, very luxurious. Food was okay, not what I expected but the steak is good. Wait time was an hour for us.

(+) Very neat venue, with both indoor and outdoor spaces (+)…read moreAmple seating (+) Free parking on the premises (+) Food was tasty (+) Service was attentive (-) Can get very crowded inside We came here to celebrate a milestone birthday for a friend. Similar to other recently opened venues that serve beer on tap and feature both indoor and outdoor spaces, there is something available for all ages in your party. Though parking is free in their lot, it does quickly fill up as the evening progresses. Our friends had reserved a few tables outside, but it also turned out to be the coldest day of the year, so we ended up settling inside. We sampled sliders, hot dogs, flat breads, pizza, pretzels, nachos, and chicken lollipops, which were served in metal catering trays along a long table. All the food items that were ordered were good. We did not order anything to drink, but the servers did a great job of coming by our tables to see if we needed anything throughout the evening, and he had quite a large party. The outdoor space is pretty large, with open areas of turf for lawn games and kids to run around. There is also ample outdoor seating, with a few food trucks along the outer part of the venue. Not sure if these are left out year-round, but they had these fire pit space heater/light sources between the tables that provided a nice touch to the outdoor space, especially as the evening grew darker. Although we don't live nearby, this was a great spot to celebrate a birthday, hang out with friends, date night, etc. I definitely recommend this place if you live on this side of town.

Parking was simple -- plenty of…read moreroom in the main lot and more along the side streets, so no parking drama before you even walk in. The space itself is laid out really well. Inside, you've got cold A/C and comfortable seating if you want to escape the heat. Outside, there are shaded tables and an upper patio with fans that actually keep the air moving. You can pick your vibe depending on how hot it feels outside. As for the beer selection... they aren't playing. There's a huge variety on tap, something for every taste. When I visited, there were also food trucks on-site along with a small in-house menu, so grabbing a bite was easy. But the real surprise is the bourbon whiskey room hidden behind those red velvet curtains. It has that quiet, speakeasy feel -- a completely different atmosphere from the main area. Definitely worth stepping inside if you enjoy bourbon. Prices are reasonable, the energy is relaxed, and it's the kind of place you can hang out, talk, and enjoy yourself without feeling rushed. If you haven't checked it out yet, go. It's a fun spot with a lot of character.

I haven't been to this spot in years. I forgot how good this place was!…read more Music is always popping here. I came in on a Friday night, and they had a live DJ playing. The music is a mix of EDM, Hip-hop, Rap, and R&B. They have tables and bar top seating. If you have a bigger group, I'm sure you can find a table depending on the time you arrive. There is a lot of seating. To start off, I ordered the Matcha Martini. It was STRONG omg, definitely a sipper, but it was so good. It was creamy and had a good matcha flavor. I love how they added matcha powder on top. For drinks, I also tried their espresso martini and Bubbly Pineapple. The espressos here are good, no complaints. The Bubbly Pineapple is so cute; it comes out with a bubble of smoke you can pop. The drink is very refreshing; it really tastes like pineapple. FYI, the drink has little black seeds, so if you don't like textures in your drink, maybe this one isn't for you. Also the drink came with a little frozen pineapple you can add to your drink once you pop the bubble As an appetizer, I got a dozen raw oysters and decided to add the $5 tobiko (fish eggs). Let me say, they were not stingy with the Tobiko, there was so much on my Oysters, I mean a lot! The oysters were good, and so was the tobiko, but I feel that with so much tobiko, it kind of took away from the oysters. Still good though, especially for $21 for the dozen with the tobiko! It was very filling I'm not gonna lie, I got pretty full with the oysters, but I still had to eat my entree As an entree, I ordered the Short Ribs, which came with rice and a side salad. I didn't think I was going to eat much of my entree since the oysters had filled me up, but I ate the short ribs down to the bone! Every single one of those ribs I devoured, no meat was left on my plate. I didn't have space to eat, but my stomach made space for this. 10/10 would recommend the short ribs, especially with the delicious sauce it came with. I think it's like a fish sauce 10/10 for food and drinks. Bonus: the staff here is really friendly. I really enjoyed my time here. I need to come more often for sure, this is definitely a Katy gem

I like the udon a lot even though the broth was a bit sweet for me. The tempura was delicious and perfectly fried. The hamachi collar was a large portion but a bit dry. We're used to having hamachi collar that is more buttery than what we had at twenty five. The sushi was ok too. Wasn't the best we've had but we expected that so we weren't let down by the sushi. Our server was lack luster and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She didn't even come to apologize for the wait or that the food was coming. We had to ask for refills and napkins after waiting 15+ mins until she came back to the grass patio area. Crawfish finally came it was lukewarm and some had a fishy taste. Best part there was maybe 15 people in the grass patio area and 3 people at the inside bar. Customers were cleaning off the tables to sit, getting their own napkins and going inside to get drinks at the bar. A table in front of us declined their potatoes and sausage bc it took so long after their other food came out. Also, we wanted to order cheese fries but were told they weren't doing certain foods bc there was only 1 cook. Lol Place has potential but needs to be cleaned up (random kiddie pool next to the outside crawfish cooking area) , food needs to be refined, servers need to be retrained and customer service needs to be a focus.

Next is the service and Isabella was our server and she was spectacular. Very patient providing explanations of things, providing an opinion when asked hustling and simply being a pleasure to deal with. I really can't say enough good however I will tell you that this is what you belong for when you pay for food and drink at a restaurant. Next, of course, was the food and drink. Let me just go to the bar which was absolutely perfectly executed. I had old fashions with bullet rye, and I had a pistachio Carajillo for dessert. Every drink was perfect. We didn't go specifically for hamburgers however, that is what I ended up with and I'm very pleased. It makes me know that I will return for other entrées.
