I visited during lunchtime for the AYCE and it wasn't bad at all. I tend to lower my expectations when it comes to AYCE and revolving sushi, but 25 Sushi House does it well. The selection is a bit more limited for lunch, but the price is lower than dinner as well. Being AYCE, I wouldn't expect the highest quality, type, and cut of fish, but what they had was pretty solid, tasted fresh, and was delicious. A minor complaint would be they had no sashimi option, even for the tamago which I personally believe is eaten best without rice, but that's just minor stuff considering the good value here. As much as I try to find a reason not to give this place an outstanding rating, if I compare it to the AYCE category of restaurants, it did everything right. They do have a regular a la carte menu, with a selection that looks like a treat in itself. As for me, I highly enjoyed their jalapeno bomb to start. I highly doubt they used snow crab, tasted like imitation crab, but I enjoyed it nevertheless and got another order at the end. I tried a few nigiri while I was here, with eel being my favorite (and thank goodness for no bones, which was lucky because it's eel). Their tacos were an unexpected standout and is worth a bite or two. Using sheets of nori and frying it to it holds up like a shell is pretty genius and more places need to do this. I had a good time with their Burning Alaska signature maki, which has salmon as the main star. The smokiness from torching was a killer! Their curry reminded me of S&B, which might very well be the mix they used. I was a bit disappointed to not see fish katsu as an option considered it's a sushi place, but I can see the katsu curry selection being a good option as a comfort dish. Food is amazing, we have been supporting them since their first ayce launch and have been going back regularly even after price increment + ayce menu reduction. We genuinely wanted to support them. Unfortunately we could not bring ourselves to continue supporting business where the owner does not have business ethics, or perhaps human decency? (Turn out we are not the first with such unpleasantly disappointing treatment from the owner, and I am sure we will not be the last. I thought this place had premium sushi, but honestly, I couldn't tell the difference. I came here for lunch since it was my first time and I didn't want to spend that much money on AYCE Dinner. Lunch AYCE was definitely not worth it. The nigiris were huge, but only bc they sat on a gigantic bed of rice. I could barely taste the fish on it. Takoyaki had one tiny piece of octopus in it, but it still tasted yummy. We ordered three rolls and they were all disappointing. The salmon on fire was missing the ponzu sauce, so it was okay tasting. Golden torch was good but nothing special about it. and the hamachi mama had wayyyyy too much yuzu on it, not enjoyable. My favorite dish was the hand roll bc they used tempura seaweed, my only qualm with this is that it's hard to get a bite with everything in it. I might come back here just for the hand rolls and to try their other stuff, but the nigiri's and rolls were disappointing to me. Maybe sashimi is better? idk. A group of 20ish Yelpers came for an AYCE feast of premium cut fish, plus rolls etc, on a rainy weekday. It was a special they were having for a limited time instead of $98 or $68 price point, it was half price. Which is a deal. I'm actually not a big fan of AYCE, but I love my friends, and I enjoy a good deal, so I had go. Plus I wanted to have a mini non-birthday, birthday celebration for the best Community Manager of Yelp Houston could ever as for. It's really cutely decorated, enjoyed the modern design for a sushi house. Luckily place was not crowded when we visited. Service- Russel was our server. I will just say maybe he did his best? Anyone else enjoy an experience so thoroughly that they just had to sit and marvel at how that one experience opened their world to entire new genre of eats? If you can related, you may understand why it took me so long to construct this review. The new AYCE menu at Twenty Five Teishoku House made me step up my sushi game. I may have had you fooled with all of the sushi and nigiri I review (especially the Madai), but my fish game is novice at best. We enjoyed this experience as an introduction to the AYCE menu, so we dined at a discounted price, but after experiencing the menu, I'm honestly not too mad at the premium $98 all you can eat price tag, because the selection is phenomenal. Although I unfortunately ran out of room before I could try everything, among all of the maki, kitchen items, starter items, sushi & nigiri, I highly recommend the following (in this order): *Otoro- sushi lover of not, you must and I mean must try the otoro. Upon first bite your eyes will roll back in your head, your tongue will water in delight, and your body will sink into bliss...or not, but it sure felt that way. This one bite reinvigorated my waning interest in tuna. *Chu-toro- although it's less fatty, it's still valid, and 100% worth trying two...or ten. *Madai-this may be personal preference but this is now, and likely will always be the OG. *salmon & hamachi- Although I'm no stranger to yellowtail, this was my first experience with hamachi specifically, and as a Madai lover, it was delicious but less impressive than many other selections. *3 crudos-just try them! *In addition to a $68 abridged AYCE menu, AYCE pricing for kiddos varies from $12-$18 per head! I MEAN!!!! Where does one stars, if I could give this place 10 starts I would! Came here for a dinner with some friends, I believe there was about 10-12 of us, and they set us up right in center of the restaurant. We have a great view of station where we could see the magic happen. Our server Russell was outstanding. I opted for the all in option, when in ROME, try everything, and everything we did!!! Lol, if you take a gander at all the photos tied to this review, I am telling you, there is something for everyone. We started with a couple of apps, the calamari and fries. The calamari wasn't my fave ever tried, but it did the trick, the fries! Now why we ordered fries, I have no idea, but they were some of the best I've had in a while! From there, all bets were off, the table started ordering away and we tried absolutely everything, and when I say everything, I mean everything!!! We got some of the baked oysters, and they were drooollll, absolutely amazing. The toppings were just enough, and it was the perfect one-biter. I ordered one of everything on the Prime Maki, which included white gold, toro blush, the crown jewel, lobster lust, and spring breeze. It came out plated nicely and I didn't know where to start because it all looked so good. I took my time with each bite, to just allow the savoring to savor. Each bite just melted in your mouth, so so sooo good! I also got to try all the toros they had on the menu, did NOT disappoint, and I think my fave of the night was the wagyu, which is just lightly torched and had such a yummy smokey melty flavor. I liked those so much I ordered another round for the table! When I say, you have got to come to this place and try everything, try literally everything. THIS. Good! Now that I have your attention you should keep reading. I haven't been here previously, but I understand that it had a former concept based around bento box-style meals. That is not the case anymore. Let me introduce you to their Prime Sushi menu. I've done various omakase in Houston, and at a top tier price. This was cheaper, and on the same level of quality. Where an omakase might have it beat is plating, but this is AYCE top tier fishies, and they might now be my favorite go to, though it comes at a cost. The drive.leta get I to it. Location: Katy. Way the F up on the opposite side of The H from my corner of Pearland. Yes, I knew what I was getting into, but now that I love it I shall bemoan the effort it would take to go frequently parking is easy, they have a good sized lot. The place is beautiful, as you can see from the pictures. Well formatted, and a great ambience. The service here was fantastic. Russel was our waitstaff for the evening. He had some help with the delivery, but he took the orders and kept us fed. The O-Toro, and Chu-Toro were the stars of this movie. They both literally melted on your tongue, teeth-free. I ordered a lot. I mean A LOT. It was the best. The second to these godly fishies was the wagyu sashimi. Holyest of cows, it was divine. We also had madai, Sake Toro, Uni. While we mainly dines upon the simple things, we did grab a few rolls amongst our party of 12, Spicy Scallop Street was our favorite, we also tasted the shaggy dog (same as others), Salmon on Fire (fantastic, and with a kick). We also had a few rounds of Hot Sake, and a beer. We had the opportunity to enjoy this new menu at a friend's and family discount. Hamachi mama and the white flame were simple and tasty. The golden torch looked good, but the flavors kind of blended together. The nigiri's rice had a bit of vinegar and wasn't strange like other ayce places can be. The handroll was simply sliced pieces of fish rolled with some rice and nori. The curry was a creamy yellow curry with carrot and potato cubes on shredded cabbage. The tonkatsu was pretty tender and hot with a crispy batter. The fried fish was thick and flakey. We came here for lunch since we were in the area and have been wanting to try this place out. We ordered off the regular menu since we weren't doing the AYCE menu. It would be worth trying if we were hungry and had a huge appetite. Hubby and I shared the tempura udon, the hamachi collar bento box, and he got some sashimi while I got the tamago and blue crab nigiri. The portions were big and generous and also reasonably priced. I like the udon a lot even though the broth was a bit sweet for me. The tempura was delicious and perfectly fried. The hamachi collar was a large portion but a bit dry. We're used to having hamachi collar that is more buttery than what we had at twenty five. The sushi was ok too. Wasn't the best we've had but we expected that so we weren't let down by the sushi. The service is efficient too. I liked the food when I went the first time but didn't love it. The AYCE, I felt was one of the better AYCE in town. The temperature of food was good and so are the portions. When I go to AYCE places, I usually feel like crap b/c I ate too much rice and not enough variety. I felt ok after. They seem to be struggling like a lot of local businesses, so give them a try. I think they would do better in a different location b/c there are way too many dining options and Katy Asia Town is close by. I won a giveaway for Twenty Five Teishoku House in Katy with 3 other classmates and we all went there together to indulge in their ayce lunch menu They were originally an à la carte place so they still have that option as well. It's a bit pricier than a typical lunch ayce sushi spot but I felt that the quality of their fish backs it up. We tried apps such as the salmon crudo, tuna tataki, calamari, jalapeno bomb, baked mussels, and truffle fries. All of them were pretty salad. I didn't get the chance to but I wish I tried their soft shell crab tempura and their tonkatsu curry. We ordered a bunch of nigiri including their bluefin tuna, sake, hamachi, eel. All of them were good. We also tried some interesting concepts such as their sushi tacos. I tried the Philly and spicy hamachi tacos. The seaweed is actually crispy and keeps itself together. Interesting concept but not really my kind of thing. Think of it as a poke taco essentially. For rolls, we tried the salmon on fire, beef is real, and hamachi mama. I liked all 3 of these as well. I found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try for the AYCE lunch. First callout is it's $30! This is substantially a lot compared to all the other AYCE in the area. My best meal of 2025 so far just happened at Twenty Five Teishoku House. I actually came to an event here where the founder of this place Bing introduced us to his concept. The significance of the number 25 plays a big part into the concept. Teishoku refers to a Japanese meal, kind of like a bento box. I personally eat once a day and that meal is usually heavy. Though I enjoyed my meal last time I was here, I was hungry not too long after. Now they have decided to change the menu a little and introduce a high end AYCE sushi option. They have two tiers as far as pricing goes. The first tier costs 68 bucks while the second tier costs 98 bucks. The lower tier is pretty awesome on it's own, but with the higher tier, you're getting high quality toro options, uni, and wagyu sashimi. If you do it right, it's actually not a bad deal. The restaurant is located right off the interstate and anchors a shopping center, so parking is plentiful. Inside is beautifully decorated and has a fancy feel to it. The tables are set nice and they have thoughtful small details like little porcelain chopstick rests. Our squad rolled in pretty deep and they had our table waiting for us. Russel was our server and he handled our group with ease. He did a fantastic job explaining the menu and gave us great suggestions. We all went with the higher tier option and went to town ordering most of the menu. Let's start with the apps and small plates. We got stuff like calamari, truffle fries, baked mussels, edamame and salmon crudo. All good. We really went hard on the prime menu though. I did a plate of chu-toro, sake toro, hamachi toro, kanpachi, o-toro, madai and uni. I was in heaven eating this place. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Since most of us ordered wagyu sashimi, they brought out two full plates of it and OMG what a delicious bite. I could have ate a whole plate of that and been just fine. We also got all their prime maki, which was different rolls but with high end ingredients like toro, snow crab, and lobster. We also tried a bunch of other items and not one thing was bad in my opinion. One thing I would suggest is they do add some sort of sweet ending to the meal mochi or something. A new favorite sushi spot of mine! I went during lunch to try their AYCE menu and this has made it up my list of one of the best spots in Houston. No other place will offer quality Bluefin Tuna for a set price. Along with that, their Softshell Crab is high quality and meaty with a light tempura batter. I absolutely loved that the spicy scallop and spicy hamachi had a nice kick to it and flavor making it rise above average sushi spots. The rolls are creative and the rice to fish ratio triumphs all other spots! Also very pleased that they offer crudo as appetizers. Overall, 9/10. read more

So. I had a really hard time giving this rating. In terms of the sushi, service, and ambiance everything was wonderful. It is rather overpriced, but high quality sushi and service. Now, you're thinking, if she had such a great experience why is it only 3 stars. Kani. I have a crab allergy and when I looked at the menu I did not see crab as an ingredient on any on the rolls. Yes, there is the standard food borne illness warning, but no indicators of shellfish. Unbeknownst to me, I had ordered two rolls with Kani in it. What is Kani? Kani is crab in Japanese. I do not speak Japanese; therefore, I did not know I had ordered two rolls with crab. I did not notice until I saw the crab on top and recognized the stringy texture common to imitation crab. Now, the server said it is imitation crab so it is fine; however, imitation crab is sometimes worse for a shellfish allergy as it is crab extract or as synthetic crab. No refund was offered, and the limitations of the AYCE charge still applied. Even after telling her about my allergy, she recommended the maki, which came with Kani again. She apologized and brought another out without the Kani. Although the server was nice, I left being very frustrated with this situation and had to take a Benadryl. It felt as though my allergy was not taken seriously or recompense attempted. I hope no one comes here with a more severe allergy and goes into shock. It was not too hard to find parking. Upon entry, we were greeted and seated right away. The interior is super nice and clean. We decided to go with the $48 dinner menu. Everything we tried was pretty good. Nothing too mediocre. The sushi tasted clean and fresh. The rolls were delicious. They have hand rolls that are different from most AYCE restaurants. I found this place by chance, and I'm so glad I did. The prices may seem expensive because it is teishoku style, but the large portion sizes and the tastes totally make up for it. One of the first times I went was a Saturday for a super early dinner for three, and the restaurant was not busy. The location of the restaurant was a bit hidden in this plaza, and we hadn't heard much about them at the time. The interior decoration was super nice, and our server was amazing. Subsequent times that I've been here have always been great as well. The foods have always been amazing and well worth the price. Not all of dishes I've ordered previously are pictured here, but here some of the dishes I've tried so far: the Salmon Teriyaki Teishoku Set, Hamburg Steak Teishoku Set, Garlic Butter Scallops Teishoku Set, Grilled Ika, Bacon Hug, Tempura Udon with Salmon Soup, Gyudon, Green Tea Mochi, and more. My absolute favorites out of all the things I've tried are probably the Grilled Ika, the Bacon Hug, and the Salmon Teriyaki Teishoku Set, but everything else was super tasty as well. We found a hidden gem near Katy Asian Town! Food: great quality, good portion, beautifully decorated, and amazing taste with thoughtful ingredients that complimented each other. We had the sashimi set (each fish pieces had adequate amount that tastes fresh and delicious). The tonkatsu set with curry sauce on the side is amazing as well. Though I wish they would add freshly grind sesame seeds for the aromatic flavor to added to the tonkatsu sauce. Miso soup is tasty, not too salty and not too bland, just like how I like it. Because the tonkatsu is fried, I would suggest to use a softer type of rice to make the two ingredients go better together. Although, the side vegetables do help enhance the taste and added into the flavor profile. Overall, that was just my opinion from many years of trying different Japanese restaurants. The restaurant played jazz music and dim light which creates a relaxing vibe for couple night out. We really enjoyed our first time here! We are hoping for this place to continue to deliver consistency in the food quality and service despite any change in possible ingredients or staffs shortages. Dined here a couple of days ago to try for the first time before the price increase. We have not had quality AYCE sushi and wanted to check this place out. The service was ok but the food was great. Looking forward to the next time we come back. I'll let the pictures do the talking. read more

For charging 68-98$ per person for a "premium" service. Customer service needs to improve drastically. We came for lunch with my friend group and waited over 2 hours to not to be seated so we thought ok. Maybe they are extremely busy for their new menu release we'll try to come back for dinner. We came and got seated within an hour but we placed orders that never came. Waited over an hour to not get any food and at this point I was done. I truly wanted to try their premium AYCE experience but what's the point if I won't get service. Maybe I'll try again once the hype dies down but for now i was just extremely dissatisfied read more

We went on a Sunday afternoon after seeing that they made their hand rolls into tacos and knowing we had to try it. We were not disappointed! The restaurant was beautiful. So much time and effort was put into the design. The note on the back of the menu was sweet. What we had: Spicy Edamame - this was SO GOOD. It had a light kick but really was just seasoned edamame. You know how most places just sprinkle the salt on top? Well these were tossed in the seasoning. Spicy Salmon hand roll/taco - this is exactly what you could possibly want out of what it sounds like! Instead of being rolled into a cone, the seaweed was fried into a taco shell shape and the ingredients were stacked inside. It actually stayed together way better than corn tortillas too! Tonkatsu Teishoku Set - the breaded pork was simple and not very interesting. But it came with a bbq type sauce that was good. It also came with rice, miso, salad, a veggie mixture, and picked ginger peices. It was a lot of food!! The veggie mixture was so good! It was cold and seemed to be maybe some kind of mushroom and squash mix in a teriyaki sauce? I don't know, I just know it was delicious. Teriyaki Salmon Teishoku Set - the salmon was cooked just right and was in a teriyaki sauce. Like my tonkatsu it came with that list of things but the pickled stuff was different. read more

Delicious food. It was hard to decide what to order on the menu because everything sounded interesting. Upscale decor, modern and very clean as well. The food is full of flavor. We ordered the Bacon Hug (bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms with truffle bbq), Black Tonkatsu (pork fried in black truffle with mozzarella on top), blue fin tacos, lobster roll with garlic butter, and the salmon on fire roll. ALL plates were so good. So nice to find a place that feels upscale without breaking the bank, and is also nearby since we usually drive down to Uchi for date night. Also, Happy Hour is all day every day! Go give it a try. read more

My friend and I came here during one of their buy one get one free promotion since my friend had been curious about this place. The food was decent but it isn't a restaurant I'd go out of my way to visit again. Service: 3.5 The server was nice. However, it was hard to get his attention since this place was a bit understaffed. With only one waiter taking care of the whole restaurant (when I went there was a large party of 8 and 3 tables of 2). As a result, it took a bit of time for our meals to come out. Teishoku Set: 3.5 What interested me about this menu was the teishoku set most restaurants just serves the Katsu with the miso soup and rice. My friend and I received different vegetable side dishes which surprised me since I thought they'd be serving the same two vegetables to everyone. I thought they'd just switch it out every day but luckily it worked out since my friend preferred my vegetables and I preferred his. I paid 1/2 the normal price due to the promotion but I don't think it is worth the full price. The black truffle Katsu was a bit dry and the vegetable side dishes were very mediocre. I did enjoy the theatrics of them blow torching the cheese but unfortunately that's all it was since it didn't really melt the cheese. They should either pre-melt some of the cheese and then use the blow torch for the final step or just get a cheese that melts better at a lower temperature. read more

First time coming here to try out the lunch time ayce .. came right when it opened and seated right away. Food was good .. service was good .. our waiter checked on us if wanted to order more and refilled our drinks once our glass was empty. Only thing not pictured was Shrimp Tempura which we ate pretty quickly and the Tonkatsu Curry which was okay and a bit dry. Definetly be back to try the Prime menu next time. read more
