I found this place from a TikTok post so my friends and I were down to try a new place. It is a cute restaurant with seating that seems too much but is perfect. They were full but we were seated immediately. Service was ok it really depended on who was helping us at the time. I was the first to arrive in our party and after being seated the waitress handed me 5 menus instead of placing them on the table in front of everyone's seat. Food: they were out of the chicken soup dumplings that my friend really wanted, especially since she does not eat pork and she's allergic to seafood. I specifically went for the salt and pepper scallops. Our table also ordered some other dumplings, but I think the favorite of everything was the chili oil Wong tongs. Everything else that we ordered was just OK. The scallops were really big and I wonder where they got them from but I really loved the tempura batter around it and the presentation was amazing. This was a good experience, but I probably wouldn't go back because there are other dumpling places that are better. Also, they say that they're Boba but only drink that they offered us was water. I did see someone with the bubble tea but never was a drink menu or asked if we wanted something other than water and it wasn't just us.

Got to try these at to-go for lunch! Ordered the pork soup dumplings, pork & cuttlefish dumpling, and pork & crawfish dumplings. The presentation is so pretty, especially the pork and crawfish one. When it comes to dumplings, I judge the filling, but also the wrapper. The filling was pretty good for all the dumplings. Plenty of flavorful soup in the soup dumplings. However, the wrappers are inconsistent per dumpling. I hate it when a dumpling wrapper is too thick and/or doughy. The filling is overshadowed by the wrapper. Hopefully, they'll make improvements.

We came back the following weekend for a Mother's Day lunch, and my experience was vastly improved. This time we tried the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings, the braised beef noodle soup, and the spicy chili oil wontons. My favorite item by far was the spicy chili oil wontons. They are truly up there as one of the best Chinese dishes I've had, and I think it might be my favorite iteration of this dish in Houston. There is just so much flavor. We were even dipping our dumplings in the leftover sauce. I enjoyed the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings, much more than the vegetable dumplings from my previous visit. The braised beef noodle soup was my least favorite item this time. I've just had such good versions elsewhere. Busy Noodle's version has a less desirable cut of beef-- too much connective tissue, if you ask me. I got to try the mango and pineapple sparkling drinks-- both were so good and refreshing. Another unexpected favorite was the cucumber appetizer. I'm definitely getting that next time! We didn't run into any service issues, even though we had a group of 10. They are so accommodating and everyone who works here has been so kind.

It seems like Chinese cuisine has made a huge impact on my dining out list lately and so I've been on a mission to find the best spots in the Houston and surrounding areas! Trust me there is a lot to choose from, especially in the Katy Asia Town area, but let me go ahead and make the choice easy for you: Busy Noodle Boba Tea and More is an absolute can't miss. As a matter of fact, it blows my mind that I am the first to review! But I will take that honor and distinction because again, it's def. worth a visit. This cute little spot with a slightly island feel, is perfect for any occasion. As a matter of fact, it has officially positioned itself as a top spot on my list, earning my second-ever Forks Up Clean Plate Award. We fell in love with Angela the owner and she has nailed an incredible menu full of unique and authentic dishes. Of course, you know our Feastivities was grandioso and like us I am sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We had a soooooo much food and it all hit! From the salt and pepper scallops, to the spicy chili oil wonton and the shrimp and port chives tambo, yum, yum, yum! Oh and if spicy is not your thing, although you can always ask to make dishes less spicy or no spice at all, but Busy Noodles handles the heat very well! Even with a little bit of spice, the balance was absolute golden. It def did not detract from the authentic flavors or burn my tastebuds off; it just enhanced the meal with perfection. If you are in Katy Asia Town and trying to decide where to eat, look no further. Highly recommended!

Stepping into the restaurant feels instantly relaxing -- soft beige tones, cozy corners, and each table carrying its own little vibe. You can even hear birds chirping while you eat. The only downside is that the tables and seating are a bit small, so it can feel tight if you order a lot. The menu looks quite diverse. I really enjoyed the noodles, snacks, and dumplings I tried today. The flavors were spicy yet light. The staff were gentle and attentive. It's the kind of place you try once and immediately want to come back to explore more.

Visiting houston and decided to check this place out!! The interior is super cute! The service was great, waitresses were attentive and food came out fresh! Really enjoyed our meal.

Water with mint, iced. Waitress was very pleasant and warm!

Busy Noodle is definitely a restaurant I would recommend... Everything was delicious. For starters, I'll say I ordered a few items: the Chili Oil Dumplings, a Mango Sparkling Water, and the Sesame Balls. They were all served well and with an excellent amount of garnishes. The waitress that I had serve me was very happy to answer any questions, and checked in on my table frequently; Very nice. The vibe of the place was, too, on point- the amount of plants was shocking to see, but in a bad way. In the sort of way that the atmosphere feels welcoming and inviting... I can't wait to return.

So by jellos, it's basically jello. And you can ask for sample before picking a jelly/jello for your drink. Notable samples were; Sesame which had a grainy texture to it but I still liked it. The thai tea jelly was amazing and strong!! The milk tea itself was as expected. The strong point was the jelly/jellos. I really like the furniture since it was all velvet and almost gave that sophisticated feel but it was kind of broken up by all the claw machines and the claw service corner. The ambiance is a weird mismatch. The items in the claw machines looks like knock offs and I had NO desire to even try. Overall, skip the claw machines, try the jelly/jello samples, enjoy the vibes on one side the room and maybe ignore the other side. Free parking out front.

Wanting to give Wanpo the benefit of the doubt, I asked if it could be remade because it was a $8 drink. The worker, whose name I believe is Eric, SNIFFED my drink through the straw and said that it's Sugarcane and gave it back to me.....He then said he wouldn't remake it because it smells like it...Huh..? I walked out in shock because, what? Out of all the boba spots that I have been to, never has anyone smelled my drink. In fact, I used to work at a boba shop and never has it occurred to me to smell a drink and not remake it for a customer. Like, I don't know what methods you use to confirm ingredients but you couldn't even take the drink to the back to smell it? You did it in front of my face? I don't ever ask for drinks to be remade unless it tastes nothing like I ordered, I just go about and let it be but this genuinely appalled me. I go to Wanpo and I enjoy their Mango Sago drink but this experience has led me to never come back because... are you serious?

I like what I like, just as others like what they like. So I wasn't sure what I was going to get stuck with. So on the way to the outskirts of Katy, we stopped in at Ding Tea. Let me tell you how busy this area was on a beautiful Sunday before lunar New Year. There wasn't a single parking space to be had in three different lots. There was traffic everywhere in people. Do not drive well when they're looking for a parking spot. People just stopped in the middle of the parking lot and didn't move. Waiting for someone to walk out of a building. Super annoying. Luckily, Ding Tea is located behind lot of the larger restaurants and the golf course and other super busy areas. There was a parking spot waiting for me out front and it was easy to get in and out. We ended up getting a tea to share, and two to go with us to the party. We also got an order of the popcorn chicken. I wish they would have it a little bit spicier on its own, without having to dip it into things. A little seasoning goes a long way! The staff were also super nowledgeable about the menu, courteous, and efficient. Will definitely be back, but not on lunar new year. So busy!!

The lack of an English sign didn't help, as I figured Yan Kei was all about BBQ (#1) and Yan Tea was something like a cafe, when in fact it was the same place the entire time. Still, the rarity that is Cantonese siu mei in Houston, let alone Katy, makes this place still worth a look. It's always great to see the daily selection of meats hanging near the window to entice folks. They have roast duck, soya chicken, BBQ pork, and a very crispy siu yuk pork belly. I think their 3 meat combo over rice (三寶飯) is the way to go. It's the most ideal lunch option and could also make for a fairly hearty early dinner meal. I wouldn't go too late though, since most of their meats are at their optimal freshness during the early morning / afternoon. It's not that spacious, but it's enough for small'ish groups to dine. Takeout is pretty common here, often with some kind of bubble tea. I'm not particularly fond of the latter, but then again I've never seen a specialty Cantonese BBQ place and bubble tea do either particularly well. Another area that they're solid in is the congee selection. The pork and preserved egg are enjoyable despite the pricetag ($9) and the fish slice congee also gets a thumbs up. Prices are adequate for Katy and the service is good overall. It's worth noting the parking can be a challenge during peak hours and especially on weekends, since this is one of the busiest corners in all of Katy Asian Town. _____________ (#1) Not to be confused with Chung Wang BBQ on the same block.
