Amazing. Ordered the steamed bbq pork buns...soft, not tons of bread so it had great flavor. Make sure to take the paper off the bottom of the buns first...I ate some paper lol. The shrimp chive dumplings (spicy) were absolutely great. Then the spicy Sichuan chicken wings were huge and I thought at first it was over battered but no, these bad boys were all chicken with lots of meat and the spicy kick was perfect. So big tha 2 people can definitely share but so good you should still get 2 orders as you will be craving them later.

We went to this place while visiting family in Katy. Good variety of dishes, especially since we had some family members who are picky eaters, and not familiar with dim sum. Everything was great. We were a party of eight so we ordered a lot. Our favorites: the fried rice, egg noodles, spicy dumplings, soup dumplings and the fried pork belly. For dessert, you must try the coconut bunnies... they were super cute and delicious!

Dim sum with a modern twist! finally trying this place out and I love their heavy emphasis on fried garlic. The classic steamed dumplings were so good - sho mai/shu mai and har gow. the riced rolls with Chinese sausage was different than the usual but who doesn't love sausage? Wasn't a fan of the fried dumplings but was definitely unique. The XLB wasn't a favorite either. Overall, a little pricey compared to Chinatown but as expected since we aren't there! Service was good as well, seriously can't complain. Because they nail the usual favorites I love, recommend this spot if you needed a dim sum place in the area

If you are looking for Dim Sum in the far west Houston area, Dim Sum Box is a good option. This tiny Dim Sum shack is located in Katy Asian Town. The menu is not extensive like the Dim Sum shacks in Houston Chinatown. But the popular items are there. The restaurant also applies some modern touches to the standard dim sum and hor teas. Overall, our party of three were really satisfied with the food. The dim sum were fresh, tasty, and not saturated with MSG. Table service was extremely attentive and friendly. As expected, prices were higher than Chinatown. We definitely will return.

Cute small dim sum spot in Katy! The prices are a bit higher than Bellaire prices so expect to splurge here! The ordering system is like usual dim sum spots. After being seated they give you the menus and a order sheet. Then they bring out all of the food. You pay at the counter at the end. The siu mai (shao mai) was the best I've had in Houston. You can tell they are hand made and not frozen bought! So juicy and flavorful. They're also pretty big in size too! The pork soup dumplings were okay. I wasn't a fan of the vinegar sauce. I do like how they're small and easy to eat! The special fried rice was very good! There's Chinese bbq, fresh shrimp, and egg. I love how it came out in a shape of a heart! The rice rolls were good. I wish there were more shrimps in every bite. LAVA BUNS!! - best lava buns in Houston. You really do get the lava out of the buns. Perfect ratio of sweet and salty with a crispy outside layer. I would be careful eating these as it is full of lava custard inside! The har gow were good too! I love how Dim Sum Box uses fresh jumbo shrimp as an ingredient. It makes sense why they're pricier than Bellaire spots. *Not pictured* The fried turnip cake was SO GOOD. This is my favorite dish. The ingredients are fresh and the cakes are thick! I was so exited to eat it i forgot about taking a photo.

I don't know where people are going to eat in Bellaire that's better than the shumai here- do tell, because I think this place is REALLY good. The BBQ garlic fried rice is my kid's favorite. The lava buns are great egg custard buns. Good flavor in lotus leaf wraps. Love it

I usually have dim sum in Chinatown, but my parents had a guest in town so we went to Asia Town. Parking was easy as we got there right at opening and secured a table quickly. They have pictures on the menu which is handy and it comes in Chinese and English. We ordered the following food - most of it was mediocre and kind of greasy Pork and thousand year old egg congee - great flavor Egg roll - nothing special Radish cake - ok, but not very hot Fried mushrooms - one of my favorite dishes - batter was light Beef noodle roll - couldn't taste much beef Crystal shrimp dumplings - average Lava buns - they looked pretty but the custard was so runny I couldn't cut it to share I downgraded one star because they forgot to bring our shrimp dumplings out and I had to ask multiple times for them after they got busy. Overall, there are better dim sum places in Chinatown and I wouldn't go back to this place since it was also way overpriced at $6-8 a dish.

We were excited to try Dim Sum Box. It was ok at best and the fried rice was the highlight of the meal. The rice had good flavor and many pieces of pork throughout. It also came heart shaped which was cute. The soup dumplings in little tinfoil pie pans were extremely salty and had an off taste like they were old. The egg rolls were overly fried and just ok. Trader Joe's soup dumplings & egg rolls are definitely better. Service was slightly friendly and the food came promptly but we were one of two tables with customers. The place was empty. The restaurant was decorated nicely and appeared clean. Our bill for two was $48 + tip.

Most things that we tried were good! Pricey though. I personally would go elsewhere to get my dim sum, but it was still great to try. Something unique that they have are these mushroom fries - they're pretty good! I'd recommend at least trying them, as dim sum can get a bit repetitive once you know what you like. I'd also highly rec the baked snowy pork buns! Very yummy! One impressive fact about DSB is that they make their own chili oil in house! They said they make it weekly, which is really cool because most places just have their chili oil sitting there forever. The only thing that everyone at my table did not like is their xiao long bao. It's small, not that flavorful, and doesn't have that much soup. For what it's priced at, it is definitely not worth. They do have happy hour where certain menu items are discounted. Unfortunately I don't quite remember the hours eligible.

Never on this side of town so decided to try a spot in this shopping complex with the hubs. We chose wrong. For the price of dim sum here, you'd first expect a nicer ambience than the corner of a shopping center, bright windows, and food court tables and chairs. We order the 10-12 piece BBQ Pork Char Siu thinking this would be the most filling part to go along with our dumplings based on the picture. WRONG. Very thin, quarter size pieces like I'm enjoying a tasting menu. Mind you, they were delicious little morsels but I still don't think worth the $15. At this point still VERY hungry. The pork soup dumplings come out first, I found these to be sour and the complimenting ginger sauce with it also not great- pass. Finally had the Sichun Spicy Pork & shrimp wontons, these were the best part. The flavor was good, little spice, savory, fresh chive and pork flavor and smooth, consistent texture to the wrapper. Some highlights here but ended up going around the corner for more food since I was still hungry and didn't want to pay arm and leg here for more tiny food.

Visited: Dec. 2022 I tried this place out for the first time. It's owned by the same person who owns Fung's Kitchen. The dim sum menu was shorter than their usual restaurant one. The food did take a while to come out but the dishes came out piping hot and fresh. I was curious about the Lava Buns since I had never tried it from the restaurant style and I actually liked it. There were plenty of filling and the salted egg yolk part was tasty. The shrimp rice noodle wrap was my absolute fav because the rice noodle was smooth, bouncy and not too soggy. In addition, the shrimp was just perfect. The chicken feet was okay. The black bean sauce didn't get soaked enough within the chicken feet. The xiao mai was juicy and meaty. The table was dirty before I sat down at it. Are they not cleaned right after each customer?

Great little dim sum spot. Good spot to go with others and share a variety of plates. The service was great and everyone was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. Nice decor. Great spot to check out with family or friends. I came for the soup dumplings and they did not disappoint.

    The feast!

Service was spot on, quick, and we got our food in what felt like maybe a few minutes. We started off with pork dumplings for the kiddo, which he INHALED in moments. For entrees, we split the orange chicken and the Spicy/Numbing Pot. The orange chicken was spot on. The sauce was sweet but not painfully sweet or thick/clumpy. Really nice orange flavor and tender chicken. So much fun eating it since it is gluten free! Our kiddo also devoured this dish! Mild - not spicy at all! The Spicy Numbing Pot, while a little oily/greasy on the bottom, was still delicious! I appreciated that it wasn't knock your socks off spicy - it had a solid kick, and so flavorful. I love eating dishes with Sichuan Pepper; it has a lot of flavor, and the tingling is so much fun. This dish was perfect with some rice, and it wasn't too heavy for the middle of the day. The prices were really reasonable, and there was enough food for leftovers which we ate later that night. Our only regret is not getting the duck appetizer, but we will be sure to get it next time. We can't wait to go back, and Tiger Noodle will happily be in regular rotation for our family! You can't go wrong!

We got the roti canai and salt and pepper calamari as appetizers, and the sizzling tofu, beef rendang, CK teow as entrees. - Sizzling tofu (6/5): A MUST TRY! I've never had tofu with this texture before. The outside is slightly crisp and the inside so light and fluffy, it feels like bitting into a cloud. The tofu tastes like a creamy egg soufflé and the sauce is savory and salty with pieces of sauté onions that add a nice crunch. The presentation was also very striking with the server pouring the sizzling sauce over the tofu. It's just such a beautiful dish that I would go back solely for! - Beef rendang (4.5/5): Overall a delicious and hearty dish. The beef was very tender and juicy, and there was a generous amount of it. The potatoes soaked up the sauce very well and made the dish extra filling. I forgot if we got to pick a spice level, but the dish had a nice kick to it and wasn't overwhelming spicy. - "CK teow" char kway teow (4/5): This dish had a lovely char tasted to it that made it very addictive. Just a nice savory noodle dish. I think my only complaint was that the portion was on the smaller side - Salt & pepper calamari (3.6/5): This was a pretty good calamari. The calamari had a light and crispy exterior and was pretty tender and seasoned really well. The chunky veggies were a nice touch texture wise. - Roti Canai (3.6/5): the Indian bread was so nice and flakey, I could've eaten it alone. The curry was also really tasty and flavorful, just a little bit watery. Service/ambiance: Service was excellent and they gave us so much rice.
