My small party was sat just after the dinner rush, so both the table and floor were spotless. There's lots of artificial plants and wood paneling to maximize space and atmosphere, but I'll get to what you're actually here for. The chicken skewers are an absolute must, tasted like they came right off the grill. That curry is delicious, even more so the next day. Let the chicken really soak up all that flavor. Lastly, the mango sticky rice was sweet and surprisingly light, you won't be dropkicked into an immediate nap after the first bite. Been here a few times. Foods decent when you're craving halal Thai in the area. Glad they have halal in Katy Asian town. Most recent time we went it was just two of us dinning in. Waiter was confrontational about tip amount which was very odd. The other waiters weren't like this so it was weird. read more

Solid Thai spot in Katy Asian town, easily accessible and feels very new / clean inside. The team there is very friendly, they brought us everything we needed from the chili tray to another sauce to try with the golden mushrooms. I wish the mushroom had more mushroom taste, the batter was a bit too much for me that it felt like the mushroom was lost. The bad first....not over the top and mediocre at best. They love using a lot of onions. The chicken Tom Yum soup tasted okay though it did not feel authentic. It only had chicken, a small amount of small sliced regular mushrooms and not oyster mushrooms or straw mushrooms. No lemongrass stocks, and a pile of sliced onions which are not in Thai Tom Yum soup. It wa very sub bar. They do give you 2 for 1 but not close to authentic. The Pad Woonsen was okay and had all the right ingredients but not the best and also 2 for 1. The satay chicken was great. Alright, this is my new favorite Thai restaurant! The food here is amazing!! I've noticed the portion size is slightly larger than other Thai restaurants I've frequented. I love that they use wider noodles here for their dishes and they prepare it in a way where the noodles don't stick together. We love the pad c ew, pad kee mao, and tom yum fried rice. I don't have a picture of the pad c ew with beef, but that's definitely the protein to go with. The way they marinate the beef allows it to be extra tender while also having a different flavor besides just beef. I also enjoy that they remove the tails from the shrimp (small detail, big difference) and don't overcook them. This is the first restaurant I've seen offer tom yum fried rice so I had to try it. It legit tastes like they soaked rice in tom yum broth. Amazing! It was so good that I audibly exclaimed "Damnnn!" and the owner came over to make sure everything was okay. I assured her that the reaction was from the rice being so good. LOL. The location is small so it gets filled pretty easily, but don't sweat. The servers are attentive & kind. The prices are reasonable! They have 4 different heat levels (not spicy, mild, hot, Thai hot). I usually handle heat pretty well so I went with the hot but I would go with the mild next time lol. For the appetizer, we got the Thai papaya salad (hot) & roti w/ curry sauce. The roti was good but nothing special. The papaya salad was refreshing, savory, and just the thing I was craving. We got the hot spice level for pad c ew, pad thai w/ fried chicken, tom yum fried rice, tom yum soup, & boat noodles. All of these items are delicious & you can't go wrong with any of them. The tom yum fried rice had me thinking, "How come I've never thought of this?" I'm not a big fried rice fan, but I love tom yum & if you do too, you should check this out. I'm a fan of the boat noodles, you should give them a try if you're looking for something new! It's a warm hearty broth & dare I say...I may even like it more than pho. We ordered the spicy edamame, pad Thai with glass noodles (there's a $2 upcharge for the glass noodles), and the spicy basil chicken. The portions were very generous. The spicy edamame was very tasty and had a nice kick. The pad thai was moist and delicious with great flavor. The spicy basil chicken came with a lot of veggies but was pretty good. Cute new Thai restaurant in Katy Asia town, they warmly greet you when you walk in. It's locally owned by a family, who at the time were still re-arranging the tables and booth which took away from the experience but nonetheless the food was good! They had a lunch special deal going on that includes a salad, soup, tea, and dessert with your main entree choice. You can adjust the spice level 1-5 and pick your protein. The food came out quickly and was beautifully plated. The pad kee mao was sauced well and it had just the right amount of burnt edges. The salad was ok, I had to ask for extra dressing which they gave me. The soup was meh, but it was nice to have, it was a bit lukewarm when I started to taste it. I stopped by for a solo lunch and had a great experience overall. Yark green ambiance was very chill, and the restaurant was clean, cute, and well kept. They kept the décor and layout from the previous restaurant, which worked nicely. The lunch special offers excellent value with a generous portion. The carrot garnish on top felt a bit excessive, but the overall presentation was cute, especially with the egg roll, dumpling, soup, salad, and dessert included. The veggie egg roll was fresh and crispy but slightly under-seasoned, and I personally would've liked some meat. The fried dumpling and salad were average. Tried out this new spot and it was so cute! Decor was nice and TV had street food Thai videos playing which felt cozy. Staff was super helpful and quick as well. Came here on Easter and it was a hit and super yum. We got a little bit of everything we could- samplers tom yum, shrimp fried rice, fish, mango sticky rice, and no complaints with any. 3.5 stars! I ordered the panang curry and the khao soi at medium spice which was not spicy at all, but still good, just nothing special. There was so little shrimp in the khao soi, which was a shame bc the shrimp was good. Service was fast and I love the interior of the place. Our previous review was removed, so we're reposting with a straightforward account of our experience. We ordered the Pad Thai and Pad Kaprow, both priced around $20. The Pad Thai was extremely salty to the point where we couldn't finish it. The flavor was very unbalanced and not what we expected. The Pad Kaprow also didn't resemble the typical version of this dish--both in appearance and taste--which was disappointing. We ordered right after they reopened at 4:30 PM, expecting fresh food, but that didn't seem to be the case based on what we received. For the price, this was not a good value. I know there are a lot of great Thai restaurants around Katy, but this place has quickly made its way high on my list and is definitely one I recommend trying. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The owner came by our table a couple times to check on us as well and she was super warm and friendly too. The food was excellent and very flavorful. We had to order a couple dishes at 0 spice since we had our kiddo with us and sometimes it results in lacking flavor but everything was still super delicious. Great place to get Thai food around the area, I was so surprised to see the price of their lunch special, probably the best lunch special for the deal that I've ever got! My dad got the pad Thai while I got the basil chicken. I probably wouldn't get the basil chicken again as it was more on the soggy watery side, including the rice and the chicken itself. We absolutely loved this place! Yark Green is a newer Thai restaurant, and it completely exceeded our expectations. It was so amazing that we came back just two days later. On our first visit, my husband had the crab fried rice and I ordered the red curry with chicken-both were outstanding. When we returned, I had the red curry again but with shrimp, and it was just as incredible. The roti bread is so delicious, and the crab rangoons were hands down the best l've ever had. My new favorite Thai restaurant in Katy! So delicious! I'm not afraid to admit that though the restaurant was open rather recently, we have been here more than 3 times already! The food is not as spicy as other Thai restaurants but this restaurant seems to have Lao influence so it makes sense as Lao food is traditionally milder.
