Essential Condiments !!

Suburbia pho at its finest! Tucked away on the corner of a plaza in Cinco Ranch next to horrendous construction is Saigon USA. They seemingly have quiet the variety although I didn't get to try anything else other than my Grilled pork vermicelli since I was dining solo during my lunch hour. Service was slow and when I dined in, there was only one other person dining there... I wish they added more to their fish sauce - but it was just straight fish sauce and nothing else. Egg roll was just ok. I wasn't a fan on their grilled pork because it lacked the chargrilled flavor and was OVER-seasoned in my Opinion and too salty. Their way of seasoning and grilling the pork isn't typically the way grilled pork is served at a Pho restaurant. The vegetables were very fresh tho and I did appreciate that! All in all, it was meh. I prob might try their pho once in the future, but no more rice plates for me!

Shaking beef

This is a decent viet spot in Katy but not my go to. I've been a few times and the food is pretty good. The last time I went however, our service was not the best. The shaking beef was tasty and served with steamed rice. They used to have half off pho on Tuesdays and Wednesdays a while back but they no longer do that.

Today, I got to try some of foods from this restaurant! It was good but it can be better if they have more seasoning like mushroom seatings or hoisin sauce to be honest! Presentation wise, they look very nice and appetizing tho! Glad that they have some vegetarian options! ;) Keep up the good work! Cheers

Not recomendable Rangoon

Pho was ok. Nothing to write about. The meatballs were too fatty! The Rangoons were awful. They tasted of burned oil and were over done and the smell was quite off putting. Will not be our go to place. We ordered pick up which was on time and the food was still warm.

A3. Soft Fresh Springroll

I was SO excited to try this place and I was really enjoying my spring roll until I went for my last bite and there was a BUG. I alerted my waitress and she offered to get me another order but just seemed confused & and did not take my plate. I had to eventually ask someone to take the plate. The manager never came over and addressed me. It's so frustrating because I was really enjoying it. And then the staff was disappointing with their lack of concern and attention. I wish I would have had the more positive experience described in other reviews! There are a million Vietnamese restaurants right here, go to another one.

The food is good! Always available seating. Good prices too. They seem to be short staffed, but I've never waited long.

Always consistent, fast & fresh. My favorite part about it is that they do a kids size pho that's perfect for my daughter.

Bar stools are full, locals are greeting each other, and the musician is setting up... looks like Friday night is off to a good start! Kendall, my server, was extremely helpful and friendly. He walked me through the menu & gave me some great tips. The oysters were fresh and the crab balls were crunchy and full of flaky crab & flavor, the dipping sauce was flavorful as well. I enjoyed it & took an order to go. The Martini wasn't a Martini but it was alright, it was a shaken vodka water mix with lime. Overall, this place has a homey familiar vibe, the vibe is pretty chill to hang out and have a good time, and the food is not too bad. I'll definitely return to try other items on the menu.

It was very quiet and clean with only three other diners inside. The food was hot and tasty. Just what I expect from a New Orleans style restaurant. My only criticism was with the hushpuppies, they looked fully cooked, but the centers were still doughy. I'm not a fan. Everything else was fatastic.

What a great dining experience! This was my first time here. I was heading into heavy rush-hour…read moretraffic, so I decided to avoid it and stop to have a good meal before heading home. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

I didn't recall anything bad about the place, and given the rave reviews since then, I thought it was time to return. Based on reviews, we showed up early on a Friday evening (~5 pm). Even at that time, it was mostly full, but we were able to snag seats at the bar, which is first come first serve. We ordered the "regular" grilled oysters (5/5), which were anything but regular, as they were topped with peanuts and a really great flavor. I'd get these again. Fair warning, these take 20 minutes to come out, which I didn't mind, but I did not realize that they would not bring us anything else until after the oysters since these are considered an app. I thought they'd just bring things out as they were ready. This meant, we did not get our crawfish until we were already sitting there for an hour. About halfway into the wait for the crawfish (after the oysters), the fried rice (1/5) showed up, and I have to say, it was underwhelming. It came out room temperature, which to me is cold, and I thought this was just how they do it. Except 15 minutes later, the seats next to us got their fried rice, and it came out piping hot. You could still see the steam coming off of it. Besides being cold, I didn't think the fried rice was that good in terms of flavor. I also generally prefer the short grain rice, and this was more of a long grain. Once the crawfish showed up, we were well past an hour, so we dove right into it. Both the garlic butter and combo mix were great flavor - some of the best I've had in Houston. However.... it made me remember why we did not return. About 20% of the crawfish were TINY. And by tiny, I mean they were smaller than my pinky finger. Maybe I'm a crawfish snob, but at this time of the season, there should not be that many tiny crawfish. Maybe a few small ones, but not tiny. Crawfish flavor = 5+/5, crawfish quality = 2/5, crawfish cook = 3/5. Then I made the mistake of ordering a cluster of snow crab. That took another 30+ min to come out, and it was again room temperature. The service at the bar was fine (4/5), but the kitchen service (1/5) is not something I want to experience again, especially not for the crawfish quality/size. Yes, the flavor was amazing, but I'm not fighting for a table for lukewarm food and 30 min wait time for each dish. The pricing was some of the lowest I've seen ($8.99/lb crawfish), but I'd rather pay $1 more at other places for the quality.

Since it was Mother's Day, there were more tables than usual making the dining space tight and hard to maneuver for the guests and staff. Danny quickly took our drink orders and then our food orders. They had a special menu for Mother's Day, and still offered their full menu as well. We opted for the chargrilled oysters and deviled eggs with shrimp for appetizers, scallops, ettoufe , and asparagus with jumbo lump crab for entrees. All the food was still the excellent quality provided on many of my visits. Half way through the meal and prior to our entrees coming, a party of 8 arrived and I asked if we could move to a vacant table along the back windows to give the group more space and the staff graciously accommodated us and helped us move. Great service, excellent food and drinks.

We went to the Katy location this weekend for a family birthday dinner for 12. We wanted a lively restaurant, and Vida Mariscos had live music starting at 9pm--the band played Tejano, cumbias, vals, huapangos. There isn't an official dance floor, but a small area attracts a handful of couples. Great people watching. Dinner was good. Service was great. Shout out to Anna who did a great job tending to our table. (Know that auto-grat for large groups is 20%). My only issue is with their photographer. The photog goes table to table snapping pictures and framing the prints, selling them for a redic upcharge. I wanted a keepsake for the birthday girl, and the photog told me she'd give me a deal. When I asked her the price for three pics, she pointed at the price for two, which was $20. Sold. We paid via credit card, but then she tried to charge someone else at the table for our third pic (which I thought we already paid for). I told her I bought all three, and she said I only paid for two, to which I replied, "then we didn't get a deal..." And she took the payment for the third photo and walked off. I *don't* respect that hustle. Also, someone needs to move the old doors that are leaning up against the wall by the restrooms.
