Chicken Lemongrass Vermicelli Bowl with added shrimp

Quick lunch stop and I had a taste for Vietnamese food. I must admit I haven't dined at this restaurant in over five years. The food was just OK, I've had better. I do remember the Vietnamese food were more intensely flavored but now it tastes more Americanized. Portion size is decent. Overall, food is still good for the area and price point for families.

This has been our go-to restaurant for Pho delivery, and we've never been disappointed with the quality, taste, and quantity of their food, so we decided to 'drop-in' for dinner instead of going the delivery route. The restaurant was CLEAN, quiet, and very welcoming when we arrived. Our table was spotless, and our server anticipated our needs before and throughout the meal. He asked if we knew how to use chopsticks, and a younger member of our party didn't, so he brought over a little, flexible clip to put the chopsticks, which helped guide their use and train the user on how to hold them. Brilliant! The portions were very generous and delicious! Our servers' attention, the great food, and family made this a very enjoyable experience. We will continue to support Little V.

Always come here and it's a great place to relax and eat some good Vietnamese food! Check the pictures - very fresh food!

Shaking Beef Wok, beef too chewy, vermicelli slightly overcooked. Not great presentation. Descent flavor.

Return or not return? Maybe. Very respectful service. Yes, respectful. Wish more places could be like this. At times however, slightly awkward like stirring my iced coffee for me, for what seemed like a long time. Issue is this may not be what I would deem hard core Vietnamese. If this were a Chinese restaurant it would be serving Sweet & Sour Pork all day. Dishes, flavors clearly adapted to Western tastes. Shaking Beef seemed to be getting a lot of reviews so tried it. Best summary. Meh! Nothing special but nice flavor, though biggest issue is absence of love on the presentation, and while the beef appeared to be a filet, it was chewy and tough. Also order their rolls, the deep fried one wasn't bad. Simple and flavorful. The fresh rolls had too much vermicelli so a tad bland. Lastly, they had some food runners working who appeared to be of Hispanic descent and asked about a specific dish "he" was bringing to a table, and he had no idea. Can't have staff not know what they're bringing to a table. Wish them well, and hope they succeed, but some improvements needed.

The food is quite good but not typical and not to original taste. The restaurant is neat, clean and stylish. The staff is professional and enthusiastic, but a bit slow, maybe because it is crowded.

We enjoyed dining in this restaurant last month. Our beautiful waitress was very pleasant and kind, brightening our day. My friend is vegan so she was thrilled to be able to have a vegan option pho. Loved the lobster spring roll. My friend also enjoyed the tofu spring rolls. We were impressed with the artichokes; the best artichokes I have ever had. We liked every dish we ordered except for the sautéed eggplant appetizer. It was too sweet. Also, got treated to a taste of the crème brûlée, which was delicious. I wish I wasn't so full, definitely would have ordered it. We like the ambiance and the how the restaurant was decorated. We will definitely go back.

We're big fans of the chicken curry, chicken and beef pho, lemongrass chicken, and pork. The Little V Rolls are a must-try, and the kids love the shrimp crackers. Don't forget the fish sauce--it's perfect on just about everything! We highly recommend this place to everyone! I can't wait for our next trip to Katy so we can go back!

I think I found my go-to spot for Vietnamese food. I haven't tried their Pho or Banh Mi's, but will do in future visits. I'm going to start off by saying their spring rolls, especially the Lobster spring rolls are some of the best I've had. I love the roasted shallots and mango. A different twist, also served with peanut sauce and fish sauce. From a service standpoint it's pretty awesome they provide chilled glass for their beers. The Spicy Lemongrass chicken was tasty as well. Really did a nice kick to it. I must say the absolute home run on the menu is the Curry Beef Vermicelli bowl. The curry was perfect and the accompanying veggies and toppings made this a perfect dish. The staff even gave us a crème buréele on a spoon as a complimentary way to end our dinner. I cannot wait to come back.

I really love this restaurant. Every dish is meticulously prepared, and the ambiance is beautifully arranged. A perfect 10 for quality.

I seriously wanted to give this establishment a third chance. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing and final. I do not eat any type of animal flesh and specifically ordered vegetable egg rolls. As I was eating my vegetable egg rolls, second one, I started feeling queasy. I smelled it and it had a sour smell I opened it and discovered pork?! The absolute worst?! They were not crowded or very busy but I always confirm my to-go orders before leaving. I was sick for 2 days. I'm always seeking to support small business but not at the risk of being hospitalized.

Their spring rolls are so good. They all have the fried crispy roll inside them. We usually get the tofu and pork.

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

We saw on the door that they're BYOB? Thai Green Tea (4.5/5): Really sweet but with some pretty unique grassy/herbal notes! (Pandan??) Would recommend if they can adjust the sweetness down a notch. We let the ice melt a bit and it made for a great palatte cleanser. Banh Xeo (4.5/5): Definitely one of their signature dishes. I read the reviews on how large it was and it was still shocking! See my hand for reference. It's crispy and delicious. Two downsides: Not enough protein, and not enough lettuce to make wraps with how big it is. But overall, definitely one of the best I've had outside of homemade. Banh Khot (4/5): These little flavor explosions are a perfect bite size and are also a signature dish. Would definitely recommend. A few of ours were light on the pork. Banh Bot Chien (3.5/5): I was dying to try this since there is really one famous spot for it. Their version is very good, but misses on the crispiness. The inside texture and pairing sauces and radish were all very good, it just needed a little more crisp. I love that they give extra garlic and spice and basically let you customize the intensity of your fish sauce to your preference. Paid with no issues via inKind at the counter. We definitely left stuffed and would come back!

Service was prompt and quasi friendly. I thought the broth was good despite having an overwhelming aroma of cinnamon. I requested for pho tuoi (fresh noodles) which are slightly bigger than the standard noodles they give you. However, I regretted this choice because many of my noodles were clumped together, distracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I think there's a heavy usage of MSG in their broth because I felt loopy and very thirsty for water halfway through. Needless to say, I was only able to eat half of the generous serving. For those who are a fan of pho and appreciate generous portions, this place is definitely worth a visit. Their pho bowls are substantially larger than those I've encountered elsewhere, offering a potentially satisfying experience for the more voracious diner but for me, quantity is not enough of a reason to become a regular. At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. Plus we dined in around Fall time in 2025 so I think the place would have so change with out last experience

My go-to order is the Bún Thịt Nướng (B2) -- the grilled pork is perfectly seasoned and cooked, the noodles are light, and the vegetables are incredibly fresh. I also love the garden rolls with pork or shrimp. What really sets them apart are the sauces: tangy, balanced, and flavorful without being overly sweet. You can tell care is taken with every component. We've ordered family meals, various entrees and it never disappoints. Their soups are also outstanding -- comforting, deeply flavored, and exactly what you want alongside a Vietnamese meal done right. I bring family and friends here whenever I can, and everyone loves it. Their take out is quick and still as tasty. The atmosphere is cute, the energy is good... and the volume is LOUD. We had two kids across from us screaming like they were auditioning for a horror movie, so conversation was basically optional. Not the restaurant's fault, but definitely part of the experience. Now the food? Genuinely delicious. My husband ordered the pho and ended up emptying two bowls of chili sauce into it -- and it was still on the mild side. Flavorful, yes. Spicy, not so much. If you love heat, you'll want to BYO fire. I ordered the tofu vermicelli and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, great texture -- it just needed a little kick to make it perfect. Same with the spring rolls. Still, I was honestly thrilled to see a full vegetarian section on the menu. As a vegan‑who‑still‑eats‑cheese (cheese‑itarian life), having real options felt like a win. And bonus points: they've got a killer local beer selection. Plenty of great choices, and it pairs perfectly with the food. Bottom line: Corner 99 serves great food with thoughtful vegetarian choices and awesome local beers, but if you're a spice lover, you'll be doing your own heavy lifting.
