I decided to order Pho on Saturday. I ordered the #15 Yummy Pho with the massive short rib, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My manager actually ordered the same dish earlier in the week and encouraged me to try it, so I already had high expectations--and they still managed to exceed them. The short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful, with the meat literally falling off the bone. The broth had that deep, rich, slow-simmered taste that warms you from the inside out, and the noodles were fresh with the perfect bite. It was one of those bowls where every spoonful hits just right. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I've been to Yummy Seafood before, but had yet to try this place. Living in the Original Chinatown, surrounded by some of the best pho spots and amazing food up and down Bellaire, I thought I'd seen it all. But I still haven't found another spot offering a short rib pho like this--especially one this big, tender, and well-prepared. Overall, Yummy Pho & Bo Ne delivered a standout bowl that's definitely worth the visit. I'll absolutely be back.

My friends and I were craving pho for dinner, so we decided to stop by Yummy Pho & Bo Ne. The restaurant had a casual vibe and was pretty busy. We waited around 20 minutes for a table. For appetizers, we ordered egg rolls and spring rolls. The egg rolls arrived hot and tasted great. My only critique is that there were three egg rolls but only one piece of lettuce. I wish they were more generous with the lettuce. As for the spring rolls, they took awhile to come out. We ordered both the shrimp and pork spring rolls, but only received shrimp. They still tasted good, though. I got the pho tai, and it was delicious! The broth was light yet flavorful, and the beef was soft and tender. Overall, Yummy Pho & Bo Ne is a solid place for pho.

Really good pho in Katy area. Every time I come to Houston visiting family we stop in for lunch here. The pho broth is really good but they are really known for their Bo Ne. We were seated right away and the food comes out really fast. Even though we were a party of 13, everything came out fairly quick. That's what I love about Vietnamese food. It's fresh, quick and satisfying. And this place delivers on all three. Lots of seating available. Food always hits the spot.

I would come back again. Pho was great and lots of variety of choices. The resturant wasn't busy when we came in but the table we were at didnt have any spoons and no napkins which I had to flag down. I also wanted to mention that their chicken pho also didnt have a lot of meat compared to the other choices that was at our table. Those are the reasons why I chose 4/5 But I'll be open to coming back.

I really love Pho. I went many times. Highly recommended!! Servers are very reliable and they are very good service.

Great local chain of comfort Vietnamese food. The service was reasonably friendly, fast and efficient. The seating is a little cramped. The tables are a little small and close together. One of their specialties is their bò né, which is served on a sizzling platter and a cool presentation. While the beef cubes come out well done, they are still tender and flavorful. The Bò Lúc Lắc / shaking beef is another one of their specialties and was well executed. The beef filet cubes come out medium rare and have a nice bold flavor. The dish over all is well balanced with the veggies and fried rice. The yummy pho is a nice upgrade with a giant beef short rib. The meat was surprisingly tender and well worth the upgrade from their other pho options. Difficult to find parking as it's shared with many other restaurants.

I stopped by here on my way back home from a road trip and was craving a banh mi. I ordered Vietnamese egg rolls, a coffee and banh mi. It was big enough to split with someone else. The bread was not hard, which was good. The service was very good and did not wait long at all. The ambiance was mellow. Several tables in the restaurant but it got very busy during lunchtime. I will definitely be back. Peace.

#14. Bo Ne/Steak And Egg Sizzling Plate
Michelle Y.

Ordered the Bo Ne (Steak and Eggs Plate). I must say that that steak is so juicy and tender. Whatever seasoning they use is straight gas. It came with a little side salad and a banh mi bread. I wasn't too big a fan of the pate, but the bread was perfect for soaking up the leftover juices from the steak! The service was super quick, both in regards to taking our order and serving our food. The price is just on steeper side; however, I'd be happy to come back again.

This is some of the BEST Pho ever had. That's all I have to say. The broth was very flavorful, the ingredients were fresh and it was just amazing! The ambiance was nice and chill and the service was really good! I can't wait to come back again.

Peanut sauce and shrimp #2. Goi Cuon/ Spring Rolls

I ordered through DoorDash, I ordered the #63 lemon grass pork vermicelli, #37 shrimp noodle soup and shrimp spring rolls. To drink lemonade and a peach tea The shrimp rolls were okay, the mint kind of overpowered the other taste of ingredients. I prefer rolls without mint, I don't hate mint, but this was a little too much mint taste for my liking. The peanut sauce had a nice kick of spice but it was so watery! I couldn't enjoy the peanut sauce. The lemongrass pork vermicelli was so good! It came with an egg roll, salad, fish sauce and peanut toppings and onion crisps on the side. I loved the pickled veggies that came with it, perfect amount of crunch and not too much vinegar taste. The crispy toppings I always enjoy on my vermicelli The pork is thinly sliced and seasoned well. I love anything lemongrass and the pork was tasty. Not pieces of fat on my plate. The egg roll was really good too! I enjoyed it more than my spring roll My sister had the shrimp noodle soup and she enjoyed it. Her favorite part was the broccoli in the soup The drinks were good too! I love a good homemade lemonade and this lemonade is just that! Just the right amount of tart and sweet.

#14. Bo Ne/Steak And Egg Sizzling Plate

The pho here is definitely one of the better ones in Houston. It's very flavorful, but not to the point where you'll be extremely tired and thirsty afterwards. I love how you can taste the pho spices in the broth, it reminds me a lot of the pho in Vietnam. The Bo ne here is also pretty good, the steak was tender and seasoned well. However, it is a little expensive for the amount of food you get. The service was quick, and the restaurant was clean.

Great place to get Bo Ne in the Katy area. The Bun Bo Hue here wasn't too good however. Good flavor, portion size, and taste for the Bo Ne. I would come back for the Bo Ne.

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

We saw on the door that they're BYOB? Thai Green Tea (4.5/5): Really sweet but with some pretty unique grassy/herbal notes! (Pandan??) Would recommend if they can adjust the sweetness down a notch. We let the ice melt a bit and it made for a great palatte cleanser. Banh Xeo (4.5/5): Definitely one of their signature dishes. I read the reviews on how large it was and it was still shocking! See my hand for reference. It's crispy and delicious. Two downsides: Not enough protein, and not enough lettuce to make wraps with how big it is. But overall, definitely one of the best I've had outside of homemade. Banh Khot (4/5): These little flavor explosions are a perfect bite size and are also a signature dish. Would definitely recommend. A few of ours were light on the pork. Banh Bot Chien (3.5/5): I was dying to try this since there is really one famous spot for it. Their version is very good, but misses on the crispiness. The inside texture and pairing sauces and radish were all very good, it just needed a little more crisp. I love that they give extra garlic and spice and basically let you customize the intensity of your fish sauce to your preference. Paid with no issues via inKind at the counter. We definitely left stuffed and would come back!

Service was prompt and quasi friendly. I thought the broth was good despite having an overwhelming aroma of cinnamon. I requested for pho tuoi (fresh noodles) which are slightly bigger than the standard noodles they give you. However, I regretted this choice because many of my noodles were clumped together, distracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I think there's a heavy usage of MSG in their broth because I felt loopy and very thirsty for water halfway through. Needless to say, I was only able to eat half of the generous serving. For those who are a fan of pho and appreciate generous portions, this place is definitely worth a visit. Their pho bowls are substantially larger than those I've encountered elsewhere, offering a potentially satisfying experience for the more voracious diner but for me, quantity is not enough of a reason to become a regular. Note: There's a $1 uncharge for pho tuoi (fresh noodles).

At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. Plus we dined in around Fall time in 2025 so I think the place would have so change with out last experience

I've been meaning to write a review for years! See my photos of the different meals I remembered to shoot. Anything you order, you can't go wrong! Everything here is consistently excellent. My go-to order is the Bún Thịt Nướng (B2) -- the grilled pork is perfectly seasoned and cooked, the noodles are light, and the vegetables are incredibly fresh. I also love the garden rolls with pork or shrimp. What really sets them apart are the sauces: tangy, balanced, and flavorful without being overly sweet. You can tell care is taken with every component. We've ordered family meals, various entrees and it never disappoints. Their soups are also outstanding -- comforting, deeply flavored, and exactly what you want alongside a Vietnamese meal done right. I bring family and friends here whenever I can, and everyone loves it. Their take out is quick and still as tasty. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, the prices are modest and fair, and the whole experience feels like a breath of fresh air compared to Los Angeles dining. Parking is plentiful, and while Katy Asian Town has many good spots, Com Tam Saigon is always my favorite. Reliable, delicious, welcoming -- this place never disappoints. Try it!

The atmosphere is cute, the energy is good... and the volume is LOUD. We had two kids across from us screaming like they were auditioning for a horror movie, so conversation was basically optional. Not the restaurant's fault, but definitely part of the experience. Now the food? Genuinely delicious. My husband ordered the pho and ended up emptying two bowls of chili sauce into it -- and it was still on the mild side. Flavorful, yes. Spicy, not so much. If you love heat, you'll want to BYO fire. I ordered the tofu vermicelli and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, great texture -- it just needed a little kick to make it perfect. Same with the spring rolls. Still, I was honestly thrilled to see a full vegetarian section on the menu. As a vegan‑who‑still‑eats‑cheese (cheese‑itarian life), having real options felt like a win. And bonus points: they've got a killer local beer selection. Plenty of great choices, and it pairs perfectly with the food. Bottom line: Corner 99 serves great food with thoughtful vegetarian choices and awesome local beers, but if you're a spice lover, you'll be doing your own heavy lifting.
