I really wanted to like this place, especially because I love supporting local Vietnamese and Asian-owned restaurants. We had just landed from a flight and didn't want to drive to Bellaire, so we decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting perfectly authentic Vietnamese flavors, but I did expect better quality for the prices. The salmon rice bowl was $14 for a very small portion of rice and chopped lettuce, plus another $4 to add salmon. Unfortunately, the salmon was completely dry, burnt, and essentially unseasoned. It wasn't even marinated, which made the $18 total feel especially difficult to justify for such a small portion. We also ordered the ABC soup, which seemed to be essentially pho broth with ground beef. Unfortunately, I bit into a small hard piece that nearly cracked my tooth, which was concerning. Overall, my biggest issue wasn't authenticity or flavor--it was the quality, portion size, and value relative to the price. I don't see this place lasting long unless they completely revamp their menu. EVERYTHING we ordered was incredibly salty. We are not people who waste food, but we couldn't finish it. No food should be this salty. I didn't get a picture of everything, but we got 2 Banh Mi with fries, wings, and a side of their broth. We came at night maybe 30 minutes or so before closing with our dog because we were staying in a hotel and wanted to take her out. Since they have a patio, that's where we planned to sit. The chairs and tables were already put away, but the employee was incredibly sweet to set it up for us again. I stopped by on my birthday after having brunch with a friend in Katy. Since I was already in Cinco Ranch, I decided to grab a bite before heading back home. I had seen that a snacky hour 2-4 pm daily and thought to give it a try! Unfortunately, my first impression wasn't great. When I asked about the promotion, the employee seemed confused and wasn't aware of it. Another staff member eventually stepped in to help. If a business is actively advertising a promotion, I would expect employees to be trained on it. Otherwise, it creates confusion and delays for customers. I ended up ordering a passion fruit tea and a beef bánh mì. The tea appeared to come from pre-made bottles rather than being freshly brewed, and there were also two bottles with one was still frozen. It was also extremely sweet, to the point that I had to add ice and water to make it drinkable. For the sandwich, I specifically requested no cilantro (allergy) and jalapeños. After waiting about 5-6 minutes, I received my order. The beef was overly salty for my taste and the sandwich contained so much sauce that it dripped with every bite. I was half way and then found a cilantro stem inside the bread. Not good as I have cilantro allergy. The bread was not airy and light. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean and I appreciated the distinctive green takeout bag. However, between the confusion over the promotion, the incorrect sandwich preparation and the overly sweet tea, this visit was disappointing specially since I was hoping for a good Vietnamese sandwich on my birthday as I love banh mi! read more

I've visited twice since they opened and unfortunately both visits had issues. I completely understand they are in their soft opening but either the people working there just don't care or things are not being communicated well. Regardless, however they handle their operations shouldn't result in multiple bad experiences for customers. Visit #1 My husband and I ordered two bahn mi's, at the time they were doing a BOGO deal on them. So my husband ordered the Brunch one and requested to + ADD chicken to it. When we got home, we noticed they not only forgot to add the chicken, they also still charged us for the second bahn mi, even though I confirmed with the cashier about the BOGO deal. We called and they were super nice about it and said "don't worry we'll take your info and let our manager know about and call you later today to confirm the refund." They never called, we called the next day, coincidentally the manager picked up, we told her about the situation and she expressed to us it was never mentioned to her... ok that sucks, but she refunded us anyways. We genuinely did like the banh mis we had so we were willing to go back and try again. Visit #2 (a whole week later) and it was actually yesterday, 5/31. We visited with some friends who also wanted to try their banh mi's since we did mention how much we liked them. Upon ordering I asked about the free egg rolls that come with any purchase that I saw posted on their Facebook Ads. The cashier said they weren't doing any deals like that. I was like ok.... I could have sworn I saw that deal... but left it alone. Later on I come across the ad again and shocker, the deal is real. It ends on June 7th. Aside from that mistake, there were still more issues. We ordered the "Sea Breeze" drink. I think that was the name of it but it has coconut, pineapple and other flavors. It sounded amazing on paper. Both my friend and I ordered and it was so beyond sweet that we couldn't consume it. Tasted very "syrup-like." Our partners also tried the drinks and all four of us confirmed it was so sweet, it basically made my mouth itch from how sugary it was. Then came another issue... I got the tofu vermicelli, the tofu was superb. It was crispy and flavorful, absolutely loved it, but the pickled carrots???? Absolutely awful, they had so much vinegar that it made my mouth numb. I chose not to complain about it since we already complained about the drink and also the shrimp spring roll, which was also filled with the extra vinegar pickled carrots. It was basically inedible. They have a ton of work to do, again, I get it, soft opening, but their staff not knowing active deals or not even taste testing to ensure their drinks or pickled veggies won't numb our mouths is unacceptable. It will be a long time for me to consider coming back because sadly the food is too expensive to "keep trying" for this many errors. read more

Great and friendly services. They have all kinds of common Vietnamese food that you can name, all based on grilled chicken, pork, beef or tofu. This location is different from all their other ones because the restaurant is long and narrow. By that, the kitchen is right there next to the front end of the dining area. The ventilator can be so noisy that the music can't be heard. It may help a little bit if the plexiglass extends to the ceiling to block the kitchen noise. read more

Ordered for our first time food from Saigon Hustle to be delivered tonight. We ordered the chicken Rice bowl with no cilantro and the chicken vermicelli bowl with extra peanut sauce and wings plus egg roll. Unfortunately the chicken rice bowl still had cilantro- the vermicelli bowl did not have any peanut sauce added at all as requested. Despite the misses, the freshness of the veggies was nice- we appreciate the idea of the bowls and the flavor was good. It's their grand opening week, so I took advantage of the BOGO Bánh Mì sandwich deal. The restaurant is small and quaint with a modern, vibrant atmosphere and bright seating area. I was fortunate to meet the owner, Ms. Sandy, who warmly welcomed guests as they came in while also working hard behind the counter. The restaurant was very clean, including the bathroom. I ordered the pork Bánh Mì -- and with the BOGO deal, getting two sandwiches for $9 was a great value. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful. The bread was a little different from most Bánh Mì sandwiches I've had; instead of the usual toasted, crunchy roll, this bread was soft -- but still really good. The meat portion was generous, and the vegetables were fresh as well. I also tried the shrimp and pork spring rolls, which were a good size and came with plenty of peanut sauce for dipping. They were $10. Fountain drinks are $3.50, and they serve Coke products. Overall, they have a solid menu, the food was good, and the service was friendly. They're in a tough location for a restaurant, so if you get the chance, come out and support them. Price is pretty outrageous for what you get. That's a $14 banh mi in the photo and it's barely got any meat on it. It also took close to 20 minutes for them to make it even though we were the only table waiting on food. I hope that they are just working out the details, we went here and the banh mi had way too much magi sauce, not enough paté, and one of the most important things for a banh mi was off! The bread they use was completely wrong. They need to use a baguette vs a bolillo, the textures of a softer bolillo really impact how they carry the other flavors and it soaks up all the sauces which makes it a mess. I really was excited for this place to open I've tried it 3 times hoping to like it but it was the same all 3 times. Last time I was there I saw 3-4 customers complaining that they didn't get their food or the order was messed up. I got the beef pho and it was terrible meat was very tough and the meatballs they put inside are terrible.
