The Beef Stew, Grilled Chicken & BBQ Pork Sandwiches are 100% the BEST in Houston!!! The atmosphere is great, extremely clean and very fast service with everyone being super Friendly!!! Absolutely the best in Houston for Vietnamese food!!!

We had a great experience eating lunch at Madame Mai. Our food was delicious - every dish we tried was full of flavor. The service was outstanding - Mrs. Mai was super helpful and her staff were very attentive. The restaurant is clean and has great ambiance.

New owners, same look, new menu! I believe this is their second location if I'm not mistaken. This used to be Paris Banh Mi and while I am going to miss them, the new restaurant is lovely. The food was delicious and the new management team is very sweet. The new atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. I would highly suggest you check out this little gem if you're in the area!

This place is the real deal for authentic Vietnamese dishes I took my mom and my brother to eat here today and loved everything we ordered off of the menu, very affordable. You get what you pay for, you won't be disappointed the customer service 10/10 I love the atmosphere the vibe. It's very relaxing clean and they welcome you and make you feel like you're at home. I would highly recommend this place if you want Amazing Vietnamese food I love the stir fry. I can eat that all day every day. I ordered a pineapple mango tea and it was so good. My brother ordered a strawberry chai tea Amazing, my mom ordered a tea that was amazing and of course the pho is so delicious. I cannot say enough about this place and will definitely be back.

    Combination Banh Mi

The food is amazing! We love the combination banh mi here. They put a ton of meat. Also, the banh mi is just the right crisp! We also got cane juice and the owned gifted me the Artichoke tea. It was very sweet of them. I highly recommend this place!

Egg rolls, artichoke tea & a soda drink.

We dropped by on a whim for my child to do some homework while waiting for my other child at gymnastics. I felt as if we were visiting our aunties as the ladies were extremely friendly and checked in to be sure we were happy with our food & drinks. We didn't get to try the main courses but the drinks plus egg rolls were great.

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

We saw on the door that they're BYOB? Thai Green Tea (4.5/5): Really sweet but with some pretty unique grassy/herbal notes! (Pandan??) Would recommend if they can adjust the sweetness down a notch. We let the ice melt a bit and it made for a great palatte cleanser. Banh Xeo (4.5/5): Definitely one of their signature dishes. I read the reviews on how large it was and it was still shocking! See my hand for reference. It's crispy and delicious. Two downsides: Not enough protein, and not enough lettuce to make wraps with how big it is. But overall, definitely one of the best I've had outside of homemade. Banh Khot (4/5): These little flavor explosions are a perfect bite size and are also a signature dish. Would definitely recommend. A few of ours were light on the pork. Banh Bot Chien (3.5/5): I was dying to try this since there is really one famous spot for it. Their version is very good, but misses on the crispiness. The inside texture and pairing sauces and radish were all very good, it just needed a little more crisp. I love that they give extra garlic and spice and basically let you customize the intensity of your fish sauce to your preference. Paid with no issues via inKind at the counter. We definitely left stuffed and would come back!

For starters, being a Halal option is an incredibly rare. There are only a handful of Vietnamese places that have some Halal dishes, but POY is certified as a Halal based establishment. The have a dedicated section of the menu and the certification proudly displayed as one enters the restaurant. The interior is bright, festive, clean and well maintained. They have the classic marble top tables, one of the most prominent furniture pieces in any Viet spot. There is no shortage of space for groups and parking is definitely abundant. Speaking of abundant, the menu reflects some of the most intense variety I've seen at a Viet spot. The pho variety alone has more than 20 choices, ranging from a kid's size to a $40 1 pounder of beef tenderloin (#2). Sirloin pincanha is also featured on numerous things from pho to banh mi to bun dishes, along with short rib and the usual meaty suspects (#3). Their pho gets a thumbs up for broth and portion, and the fresh herb condiments are appreciated. Goi cuon and nem cuon were also a thumbs up and were nicely packed with proteins and veggies. While the bun bo hue wasn't as spicy as my group would have enjoyed, it still was nicely portioned and was fulfilling in other ways. Topping it off with a nice Vietnamese coffee (in a branded to-go cup no less) is always a recommendation. The owner is one of the most eclectic personalities I've seen at a restaurant. He's personable, amusing, and always makes everyone in my party feel like they're right at home. The staff is attentive and while the prices are higher than the average Viet spot, the customer service makes it all worth returning. __________ (#1) OH YEAH (#2) Affectionately called "Pho Oh yeah Filet Mignon" (#3) Tendon, round, brisket, meatball, seafood, chicken, etc.

It's not the best but it's good! It'll help suffice my cravings for Bun Bo Hue. I've been here maybe 5 times in the past 6 months. I like that fact that they have the special for $14.95 during weekdays. You can pick between pho or bun bo hue, tea or soda and either an eggroll or spring roll. All this for under $20 with tip?! That's a pretty good deal! Especially now when eating out so expensive! The bun bo hue was nice and hot when it came out. Love the crisp veggies with it. Only complaint was the spring roll.. it was just way too much vermicelli! lol I need more veggies and herbs in it but still good nonetheless. But I'll opt for an eggroll next time. Overall, I enjoyed this place. Will keep coming back for this special when I'm out and about.

The food didn't impress either, particularly the Cá Viên Chiên Lắc Mắm Tỏi and Bánh Tráng Trộn Sốt Bò Đặc Biệt. They were also out of a few items like the Bánh Tráng Cuộn Bơ Sốt Tắc, Bánh Tráng Cuộn Bơ Sốt Me, and Soup Cua Đặc Biệt during my visit. Hopefully, this is just a soft opening, and things get sorted by the grand opening, or I don't see them lasting long in this area. Ways to improve: 1. Bánh Tráng Trộn Sốt Bò Đặc Biệt is kinda sweet from the sauce and Bò, so add a little more acidity to dish with lime or sour citrus. 2. List the ingredients on to the picture menu, to help people who might have some sort or allergy decide. 3. Try to resemble the images in menu as much as possible. I ordered a Bánh Tráng Trộn Sốt Bò Đặc Biệt and it came out first in a to-go box when I planned to dine in and that hella confused me.
