Dog friendly patio
Robyn W.

Being back in the neighborhood for work, I decided to check out what had become of my old favorite sushi spot, which I knew had closed down. To my pleasant surprise, a new pho restaurant had taken its place. I love Vietnamese food, so of course I had to give it a try. I had my pup with me and remembered the space had an outdoor patio, so I was thrilled to find out that dogs were welcome--and they even brought him a bowl of water! I ordered the Fresh Tofu Spring Rolls and the Phở Tofu: tofu noodle soup served with the classic pho garnishes, plus broccoli, carrots, and cabbage. You have your choice of broth, and I choose beef. I paired it with a crisp glass of Pinot Grigio. The spring rolls were fresh and satisfying, and the peanut sauce was rich and full of flavor. The pho broth was fragrant and deeply flavorful, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked--tender with just the right amount of crunch. Altogether, it made for a really enjoyable meal in a welcoming, relaxed setting.

Everything was 10/10 from the customer service, clean and modern interior and flavorful and fresh food. My kids approved, which is super important when choosing a good pho spot. I got #19, meatball and rare flank. I do wish there were a couple more meatballs, I only had 2. Otherwise, this place is good and I highly recommend.

Houston, TX 77077 / VIETNAMESE, PHO / 06-01-25 / DINNER / 2 Adults, 2 Kids +The customer service was excellent. +The pho broth was amazing, piping hot. Tremendous flavor and not salty. +The noodles al dente, not overcooked or mushy. +They brought out a large fresh plate of cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime wedges. +Regular bowl is $12 and large bowl is $13. +Plenty of seating, including an outdoor patio. -Wish the spoons were wrapped like the chopsticks and not stuck inside a metal box that's probably not cleaned/washed, where people can touch random ones and put it back. -No loyalty rewards program.

Pho Ben never disappoints; I've never had a bad meal from here. I was craving pho but also wanted another dish on the side so I ordered the grilled beef rice & egg roll plate and it was so good. The staff is friendly and efficient. I'm so glad they opened up this location. Definitely will be coming back here!

Met a friend here after work one day. It was pretty busy but we were seated right away. The server wasn't very personable but he was good at his job and gave us recommendations. We decided to split a chicken banh mi and she ordered a beef and rice dish, I forgot which, while I got pho ga. The banh mi was good enough. Crispy bread, seasoned chicken. I had to remove most of the toppings due to diet restrictions but it was still tasty. But the star was the pho. The broth was light and flavorful, the noodles prepared well and chicken wasn't too dry. I'm glad my friend recommended this place. The prices are affordable, space clean, and music not too loud. Plenty of seating and parking too!

This is actually my 2nd time in this place but forgot to do a review for the 1st visit which was about 2 weeks ago. Which let me mention as well these 2 visits are the only times I've ever had pho, very new to me. so I can't compare to other places! Came in, greeted and seated right away. Ambiance is really nice. Chic, warm lighting and the way the seating is organized/spread out I'd nice too. Eventually I want to try sitting outside to see how their patio area is. We ordered 2 spring rolls, 2 egg rolls, a strawberry banana smoothie, and a Vietnamese coffee. This place has the best egg rolls we've ever had. We try to get them at any Asian place we go to, so of course got them here to judge and loved them. Spring rolls were super yummy too! Can't compare those to other places since we don't normally get them. Happy to say though the rice paper wasn't chewy. Smoothie was refreshing, and the coffee was strong and delightful. I got the #21 and my fiance got one of the dark meat chicken ones. A seperate plate with basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, lemon, and jalapeños are given with the pho and you can ask for more. I absolutely loved my pho and neeeeed to get it again. Plenty of meat is given, broth rich and yummy. Chicken was yummy as well but that one the flavor is more subtle overall. They checked on us routinely and checked us out quickly when we were ready. We'll be back for sure!

This location is just as good as their original - the quality, speed, and service are on point. I ordered the #45 (grilled pork with steam rice, egg roll) and added a fried egg (+$1.50). Delicious! It's a simple dish with a fair portion of meat and rice. Service was very friendly. Food came out fast. No complaints! Decent amount of seating (booth or chairs), though I have a feeling this place will start to get crowded like their other locations. It's an easy staple. Their reward system doesn't apply here (only their Sugar Land locations). I recommend it! Come during their grand opening for a free soft drink or tea with your meal.

4.8 rounded up. Review based on takeout only but intend to sit in one day as place is huge indoor w different sectioned off areas and outdoor Visiting from California and the Pho broth ranks w the ones we like best out there--deep and flavorful. Pho noodles are thin and tasty. The spring rolls were ok--slightly bland and chicken wings were flavorful Even better was the online discount There are two other Pho places within 1-3 miles of this establishment north and south of here and this ranks the best thus far

Pork Chop Rice
Bryan V.

I tried the pork chop rice plate from here and was a bit underwhelmed. I didn't detect any lemongrass flavors and it tasted very one dimensional (just tangy). Not super tender either. The banh mi meat ratio was way off...too much meat! My mom was underwhelmed by the Pho as well.

This place never disappoints. This is my main place to stop when I leave late from work and just want to go home and relax. The portion of the food is amazing. The broth is amazing I like how flavorful it is. What I really recommend to get is the beef spring rolls, that tastes amazing especially with the peanut sauce that comes with it. Everyone in that restaurant is very nice and very welcoming. So I really recommend this restaurant.

No siracha. No hoisin sauce. No bean sprouts. No mints/the other veggie. No jelapeno. Just bunch of cilantro and cabbage. The broth was so salty had to dilute it. The SADDEST pho I've had in the whole Houston and I've been here for 20 years.

Pho Tai Nam and spring rolls

Had an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful. The service was just as impressive--attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Definitely a place worth coming back to!"

Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. It's nice having an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in our area, close to us, so we don't have to make the trek to Bellaire every time we crave some Viet food!

I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit.
