This is my first dine in experience in months! I had to go with pho, because the weather has been calling for it! Located inside the 99 Ranch Market, this is your go to casual pho restaurant after some serious shopping (or just because)! I say "restaurant", but it's not a full sit down service. You review the menu at the door/cashier counter and order at the cashier counter. Make sure to grab any drinks you want from the cooler. At the counter, you'll take the opportunity to grab your eating utensils, napkins, straws, etc. Make sure you communicate all your requests (a cup of ice, or extra whatever). Otherwise you'll have to go back up to the staff to ask. They don't come to you besides dropping off food. Pho was delicious with clean, clear broth. Meat was fresh and sliced to the right thickness. Eggrolls were piping hot, and served with the usual pickled veggies, romaine and dipping sauce. I've ordered takeout here many times and highly recommend their shaken tofu with white rice/vermicelli. It's tossed in a sweet, lemongrass sauce served with a little salad and vinaigrette. They also offer other traditional Vietnamese dishes like vermicelli, banh mi, rice, and noodle soups. P.S. They sell miscellaneous items like jarred fried shallots and homemade snacks.
Pho Quynh is tucked inside the 99 Ranch off Blalock and I-10. Parking is plentiful at first glance, but since the lot is shared with other small businesses in the strip center, it can get tight--unless you don't mind parking closer to Blalock and walking a bit. Just keep an eye out for the rogue shopping carts scattered around the lot. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but once you step in, it's actually a decent size. The food is solid--I've only had the pho, but that's what you're coming here for anyway. Houston has no shortage of great pho, especially if you're willing to drive out to Chinatown or Katy, but if you're looking for something closer, this spot delivers. I usually go for the XL bowl, which is no joke--it's big enough to feed two hungry adults. For around $20 with tax and tip, it's a pretty good deal. You do have to order at the counter, which means you'll face the infamous "iPad of shame" where your tip is displayed for the entire line to see (and yes, you're tipping before you've received any service). That said, the service has always been good for me--food comes out quickly, and staff are responsive if you need an extra bowl for sharing or a container for leftovers (and trust me, there are always leftovers with that XL). The place is reasonably clean, casual, and straightforward--probably not the setting for a business lunch or hot date, but perfect if you just want a comforting, no-frills bowl of pho. If you're in the area, give it a shot. And if you order the XL bowl, I dare you to finish it solo. And a random PSA for credit card users: they sneak in a 3% surcharge if you swipe the plastic! Don't say I didn't warn you!
Also get the CT1! Beef is so tender and flavorful and comes with everything! You can call head of time and order for togo.
Stopped by Pho Quynh inside 99 Ranch and it's such a solid go-to spot, especially if you're already shopping. The pho broth is rich, comforting, and full of flavor, and the portions are generous for the price. Everything tasted fresh and well made, exactly what you want when you're craving Vietnamese comfort food. I also love that they offer more than just pho -- the house specials and other dishes like bun bo hue and fried rice are definitely worth trying. It's a cozy spot with limited seating, but that's expected inside a market. Overall, great food, good value, and consistently reliable. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm at 99 Ranch and craving pho.
I can't tell y'all how obsessed I am with this pho it's always 10/10 especially when it cold outside it just be feeling right in my tummy !! if you see this go and try it yourself thank me later !!
I've eaten pho all around Houston. Their special pho was super fragrant. It was so good I drank the bowl up. My wife and I agreed this broth was really good
if you want amazing food at a great price before or after doing some shopping, this is the place you want to try. It's definitely got a "fast food" vibe but the food is so much more than that!
Pleasantly surprised by this quaint little spot in the food court of 99 Ranch. Excuse the half eaten picture because I was just craving some Viet food that day but didn't expect everything to be so bomb! Had to pause mid-way to snap a shot. Broken Rice / Com Tam had everything I expected it to - steamed eggs, pork skin, thick piece of pork chop, fried egg, and Chinese sausage. I thought the fish sauce could be a bit more salty, and the rice could use a bit less water when cooking (too soft) but I was just grateful to have something that tastes like home in this part of town. My friend got the Shaking Beef and it was also very good. Beef was juicy, tender, and fragrant. All came with plenty of vegetables and a bowl of chicken pho broth on the side. Can't complain!
Stopped by this mom/pop pho shop on the way out to San Antonio. It's located inside 99 Ranch Market off i10 W. This place is busy so parking may take a while. Restaurant owners were super friendly and food was delicious, the only thing was our order took sometime to come out. They stay pretty busy so grab a seat as soon as you can. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the menu but they do offer a variety of food here as well. Come show your support if you're in the area.
I had lunch here today. I had the XL pho w/ rare steak. The restaurant is very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the food was only so-so. For Pho Tai, the steak was very tough. The broth had two much sweetness to it you don't find in other pho broths. The broth also does not have the depth of flavors you find in good pho broths.
We waited 10 minutes to have our dish. The noodle seems to have been cooked a long time ago, all glued together. When I used chopsticks to pick them, they all started breaking down. Will not come back again.
If you wanna try something different, I definitely Recommend trying the ultimate pho with all the trimmings. The beef rib bone will blow your mind. It is so delicious. I added a small amount of Sriracha, hoisin, fish sauce, and it was divine. I also added a generous squeeze, a fresh line and bean sprouts. The broth is very rich, umami, and with the beef so tender, the meat falls off the bone and is so delectable. I recommend washing it down with a can of roasted coconut juice over ice and a crispy eggroll. Five out of five highly and super recommend, right now go get it thank me later! read more

If I'm ever around here this is my go to spot for a banh mi and fried rice. I ordered the combination fried rice and it was everything I hoped it would be, I really like the pork sausage in my rice. And this place gives you that. The sandwich is for my mom but I assume it will be good. Anyhoo 10/10 on the combination fried rice! read more

Best Bun Bo Hue in Houston ( I get the pork bones and blood removed from mine and add extra Cha)! So 5 stars because that's hard to find! Service is ok.. it appears to be family operated- so, don't expect super professional. Ambiance is casual ... it's located in the 99 Ranch market off of i10. The mi won ton is good too. read more
I like this place and so do a lot of other people. You may not find a seat during lunch hours. I almost exclusively still order the Mi Quang here. They fill up the bowl quite well and it usually leaves me satisfied. Of course they just throw in the flavoring for the sauce but whatever. Afterwards you can go shopping. Give it a try. read more

This place was great! My partner ordered the lemongrass chicken vermicelli and said it was fantastic! I asked if they could make an off-menu adaptation to their bánh xèo and they were happy to. They made me tofu and vegetables version which was crispy, soft & flavorful. The lettuce wrap and pickled carrots were really fresh. They brought me fish sauce but when I asked if they had an alternative they came back with sriracha, soy sauce AND a vegan sauce that was amazing! Couldn't have been happier! The staff sanitized tables in between guests, provided sanitizer, had plastic dividers at the register, wore gloves and the 99 Ranch Market policy is Masks are required so they really got their covid policies down! read more

Tried several ban mi sandwich and spring rolls. The flavors are okay, nothing I would crave or go out of my way for. It is a bit pricey compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. The location is convenient if you're shopping at 99 Ranch market. The food quality doesn't seem the best. read more

I went here years ago, the food was basic. Thought that I give it another try today since I was in the area & noticed few new items on the menus. I ordered the Fish cake vermicelli noodle soup (with dill) & special banh mi togo. The soup was surprisingly delicious, light, but flavorful. There was 3 pieces of fried fish cake, one piece of fried fish fillet & one pepper stuffed fish-cake with dill. The dish is very authentic Vn dish, so I won't recommend if you're not food-adventurous . The Banh mi was good, the bread is soft, I toasted it up at home and it's perfect! I took one star away due to the unfriendliness of the staffs. read more

This restaurant has a long list of good vietnamese dishes that I always come back for. It's like my go to place for a quick lunch or dinner since it's located right on I10 and Blalock, and to me, it's a Great alternative location to go for a quick authentic Viet meal than driving all the way to Chinatown from inside the loop. My favorites: com suon dac biet or com bo dai han dac biet (special Vietnamese Rice plates). The flavor was really authentic and it came with all the necessary ingredients and options for this dish such as egg pastes, fried eggs, shredded pork skin. Being born and raised in Vietnam, I joked with my husband that if a vietnamese restaurant offered you a side bowl of soup along with this rice plate, it is an authentic restaurant, because that's how it is served in Vietnam. Oh yeah, not to mention that they mixed the fish sauce to go with this dish very well. Very yummy. Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodles soup): this place offered a decent bun bo hue. Although it may not be the best you can find in town, it was definitely good enough to satisfied my bun bo hue craving every time. My Quang: ok so this is my first time trying this dish at this restaurant and it was so good!! I am not a big fan of my quang, but this place did change my opinion about this dish. Will definitely come back for my quang again. Pho: ironically, despite the fact that this is a pho restaurant, their pho was just ok... not as great and pretty plain. read more
My mom and I tried this place for lunch. Service wasn't that great. The girls were a bit rude and dismissive, but got the job done. MI HOANH THANH, XA XIU- pork wonton soup with egg noodles The soup was sweet and the meat tasted fresh. It was a good soup. If I ever crave for wonton soup, I'll head here. Not bad at all, but they should work on customer service. read more
surprise surprise! I got the combination pho. Anywhere I get it. What can I say? I like the variety. I never come to this place. I always go to 99 ranch to buy groceries. I've always seen this place tucked away. My date and I were curious. It was cold out and it was perfect weather for soup. We decided to go in and see what's up. Worst case scenario we grab something quick and greasy and head home. We were in for a treat. The broth here is lovely and didn't really need any inclusions but I still added a bit of hoisin sauce for a bit of sweetness. It was lovely. They are taking all the covid precautions necessary to be open. Single serve packets of sauces, and seating everyone away from each other. The staff here were so polite and friendly. I'm used to going to pho restaurants where they leaving you hanging the whole time and don't refill your water but they came by to check up on use frequently. I loved that! It was a good dinner. Nice and filling. Thank you so much for the great food and service! We will be back read more

Very well packed! Dining in is quick service and friendly. Love how it's inside the 99 market. You can eat and shop for groceries all in one. read more
