The inside of this place is cozy and well decorated. We got the taro cream milk tea, and the worker was kind enough to make us the crème brûlée fresh milk as a milk tea instead! The taro was just okay, I think they used a powder for that one so it tasted pretty basic and not too special. I did really enjoy the crème brûlée one, I think adding in flan/egg pudding and a few other toppings would make it even better. I'd come again, because their food menu was pretty extensive, I just didn't have a chance to try any food. I also think having combo options makes it even more affordable and worth coming here for a quick lunch.

Loved their "Meat Combination Pho!" Staff was very friendly

Great spot for Japanese sandos (sandwiches)! Both hot and cold sandos are available here…read more Spicy Chicken Katsu Sando - Appreciated that they cut the sandwich in half for convenience. Plus triangle-cut sandwiches taste better lol. The sliced Chicken Katsu pieces were thick, juicy, and super crispy. Amazing bread too, light and spongy, with the crusts cut off. Nice additions inside - the savory sauce had just a hint of spice and the shredded cabbage was crunchy and fresh. Mango Cream Sando - the cream inside was light and airy, with subtle sweetness. Paired well with the sweet and fresh mango. Great dessert sandwich to finish off the meal. For drinks, they have a large assortment of coffee, tea, matcha, soda refresher, slush, and more. We got the Ube Cream Coffee, which was one of their popular drinks (had a star next to it on the menu). The coffee itself was super rich, like classic Vietnamese coffee. Interesting twist with the Ube Cream on top. Fluffy and cloud-like with nice Ube flavor. I'm glad they gave a lot (1/3 of cup), since it was yummy and made the drink more creamy. Love the book wall, it goes up to the ceiling with floating books too. The interior gives such cozy vibes, especially with the dark wood tables and shelves. Fast service - no wait to place my order and all my food was ready after checking out the decor. They have a small sando menu but they have mastered them well, so it's easy to pick from the short list. Lovely to grab a sandwich and coffee here to relax!

Japanese Sandos!…read more Ordered the Ebi/Shrimp Sando (loved the crispiness of the shrimp, my favorite one), Spicy Chicken Sando (nice little kick and chicken was cooked all the way through/had good flavor) and the Egg Sando (came as a cold item and eggs were creamy). The milk bread they used for the sandos were really good and soft/pillowy. Deff get the Ebi/Shrimp Sando! For a drink, I got the Pandan Cream Coffee. Strong coffee taste and the pandan cream was a salted version which balanced out the strength of the viet coffee flavor. Inside had plenty of seating and you can buy cute keychains from the front as well. Parking - Within the plaza

Comfortable cushioned chairs/bench, it's actually not just for looks. Good amount of seating area, though, they could have added maybe 1 more. I got a Signature Black Tea Egg Waffle and House Blend Milk Tea with Yin-Yang Jelly. Though, the house blend milk tea was delicious, I specifically asked multiple of times if there's any tree-nuts, such as almond milk, because someone in my group has a severe tree-nut allergy. I have mentioned it many times, including what their egg waffle mix has (such as almond flours and what not). I was told the waffle was good to go but nothing about their yin-yang jelly. The young server was friendly but I don't think he realized the importance of someone not consuming tree-nuts if they have a tree-nut allergy. Luckily, we double checked with someone else after I questioned the drink and luckily the person who has a tree-nut allergy didn't try any of the drink. So, if you or someone in your group has a tree-nut allergy... possibly avoid this place or get a drink somewhere else. There's a big chance of cross-contamination even if the person who took your order knows the severity of it. Overall, it's a good bubble-tea IF AND ONLY IF THERE'S NO ONE IN YOUR GROUP WITH A TREE-NUT ALLERGY. Tea, at 20% sugar level was sweet enough and delicious without artificial taste. I can actually taste the tea and milk. Their Signature Black Tea Egg Waffle is cute in 3 shapes of cranes. The wing parts are nice and crispy but the center of the body is dry. There's no bounce to it. It's pretty thick and heavy. I would skip their cranes and just get drinks. Again, please beware if you or anyone has a tree-nut allergy.

Their line of beverages have hit the spot in a way where I can laud them for their consistency in both customer service and selection of drinks. Their selection of drinks are broken down in milk tea, fruit tea, latte, "pure" tea, traditional, and cheese. Toppings include aiyu, grass, red bean, tapioca, pearl, and combined boba with sugar level adjustments. The standouts in each section for me are as follows: (pure) jinxuan oolong, kumquat lemon tea (fruit), winter melon lemonade (traditional), yamamasa koyamaen's matcha (latte), and their regular wanpo milk tea. If I'm feeling really indulgent, I'll get a cheese cream oreo but that's a rare occasion. They've done a good job of opening up the interior space and the layout is ideal for groups and solo action. This is likely to accommodate lines (if any) throughout the week. The illuminated tea areas is a nice decorative touch, There are some table + board games and the place is really pretty during the daytime when the natural light kicks in. WiFi is also on point. The staff is young, friendly, and mostly bilingual in Mandarin + English. Prices are the standard $5-7 per drink, and parking is always abundant in this part of KAT. Given Wanpo's Taiwanese roots and celebrated global brand, it only legitimizes (and further saturates) the greater Houston tea scene.

Wanting to give Wanpo the benefit of the doubt, I asked if it could be remade because it was a $8 drink. The worker, whose name I believe is Eric, SNIFFED my drink through the straw and said that it's Sugarcane and gave it back to me.....He then said he wouldn't remake it because it smells like it...Huh..? I walked out in shock because, what? Out of all the boba spots that I have been to, never has anyone smelled my drink. In fact, I used to work at a boba shop and never has it occurred to me to smell a drink and not remake it for a customer. Like, I don't know what methods you use to confirm ingredients but you couldn't even take the drink to the back to smell it? You did it in front of my face? I don't ever ask for drinks to be remade unless it tastes nothing like I ordered, I just go about and let it be but this genuinely appalled me. I go to Wanpo and I enjoy their Mango Sago drink but this experience has led me to never come back because... are you serious?

I like what I like, just as others like what they like. So I wasn't sure what I was going to get stuck with. So on the way to the outskirts of Katy, we stopped in at Ding Tea. Let me tell you how busy this area was on a beautiful Sunday before lunar New Year. There wasn't a single parking space to be had in three different lots. There was traffic everywhere in people. Do not drive well when they're looking for a parking spot. People just stopped in the middle of the parking lot and didn't move. Waiting for someone to walk out of a building. Super annoying. Luckily, Ding Tea is located behind lot of the larger restaurants and the golf course and other super busy areas. There was a parking spot waiting for me out front and it was easy to get in and out. We ended up getting a tea to share, and two to go with us to the party. We also got an order of the popcorn chicken. I wish they would have it a little bit spicier on its own, without having to dip it into things. A little seasoning goes a long way! The staff were also super nowledgeable about the menu, courteous, and efficient. Will definitely be back, but not on lunar new year. So busy!!
