Great food freshly made Great prices for real home made China cuisine will come Back for sure

Chicken Broccoli
Victoria V.

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt personal and thoughtful. The owner greeted us at the door, seated us, and gave a detailed breakdown of the daily specials and house favorites--explaining each dish like a seasoned chef. You could instantly tell this was a place where food is made with care, not just cooked to order. We started with the tempura shrimp and xiao long bao (soup dumplings). The shrimp was crisp and light without being greasy, and the dumplings were rich, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. For the main meal, we ordered: Chicken and Broccoli - The chicken was incredibly moist, the sauce was light and flavorful, and the broccoli was perfectly sautéed--tender but still with a fresh, satisfying crunch. House Fried Rice & Pineapple Fried Rice - Both rices were impressively fresh, without the usual greasy taste or signs of reused oil. It honestly tasted like they were cooked on a brand-new skillet. Pepper Steak - This dish is a must for anyone who loves savory, hearty flavors. It was well-seasoned, comforting, and satisfying. We paired everything with unsweetened tea, which was also excellent--clean, well-brewed, and refreshing. The restaurant itself is small, with about 10 picnic-style tables, but it's spotlessly clean and welcoming. It's clear that every detail--from service to flavor to presentation--is handled with intention and pride. This is not your average Chinese spot. If you're particular about your Chinese food and value authentic flavor, freshness, and care in every bite, China in Café No. 7 is a must-visit. Highly recommend. 5 out of 5 stars.

Orange Chicken

We were thoroughly impressed with everything we ordered. I got the chicken chow mein. So much flavor and large portions! We got egg rolls and even though it was take out, they were still super crispy when we got home!! My dad got beef and chicken and we also shared the chicken fried rice. Everything here hit the spot. If I lived in Texas, I would go back abain

This is a great spot. The menu is simple the food is made to order. The atmosphere is very clean. Also, great for take out.

Singapore Rice Noodle

I had the Singapore noodles with shrimp and pork. It was a little spicy but delicious. The restaurant has a sign that basically says BYOB so I got a margarita from torchys and brought it over. It was clean and quiet inside but a little warm.

8 Piece Chicken Spicy Wontons
Angela K.

Placed a to go order at the restaurant, and the food was ready in 15 minutes. I got the chicken spicy wontons + general tso's chicken. The wontons were so yummy. They were more so on the sweeter side rather than spicy, and they're relatively small, but for 8 of them, they are satisfying! The general tso's was amazing. The chicken pieces were HUGE. I could barely eat 3 pieces cuz it filled me up quick lol. Sauce was sweet and tasty, pairing perfectly with the steamed rice. From the outside, the restaurant looks small, but when walking in, it's very spacious and bright! My quick interaction with the owner was nice. Will be back.

House Special Lo Mein

Last time I was here it was called Ling Long Dumplings. I placed my order online and was surprised with a free app which was cool. When I walked in to pick up, the owner explained how theres usually discounts or promos with online orders. Super friendly! When I finally got home with my food, I realized we were missing the sweet and sour sauce for the chicken. We called in and let them know and we were able to go back and pick it up. Sweet and sour chicken just doesn't hit the same without the sauce. The fried rice that came along with the meal was very pale and no flavor. The egg drop soup was thick and yummy. I prefer lo mein noodles on the thinner side but the flavor was okay. Not the best but not the worst. I know better than to get XLB to go but I've been craving them like crazy. These were pretty flat by the time I dug in but great flavor. I wanted to like the food more because the owner was so kind and friendly!

Steam rice, egg drop soup, Kung Pao chicken, small skinny egg roll, and fried crab puff
Sandy C.

I have come here twice, and had the Kung Pao, and Mongolian dish at another time. The flavor, taste, and quantity is really good. I just wish there prices were less. But, with these times I get it. Paid $11.95 plus $3.95, but on that occasion, I was charged $14.95 plus the $3.95, so beware. Today the Mongolian was $14.95 plus $3.95. What is the plus $3.95? A little soup, a fried skinny egg roll ( thin crust), and a fried puff. I don't think I will do the $3.95 again. As far as friendliness, it's nice, the waiter and I am guessing owner is nice and diligent server. I felt bad telling him he overcharged me my first time ever going there.

Egg Drop Soup

I'm so glad I had the pleasure of eating here! I went on a Saturday and was ecstatic they had a lunch menu option for the weekend! The food was extremely fresh. The egg rolls were huge, definitely good for 2 people. The general Tao's chicken was also really good, the pieces of chicken were pretty big which always makes me hesitant but they had just the right amount of crispiness and no tendons to be found! Don't be fooled by the picture of the egg drop soup, that was the lunch portion and it was more of a bowl than a cup! Overall this place was amazing. The staff was very friendly and prompt, and big bonus for the cleanliness! Come try them out!

General Tso's Chicken with noodles

Shrimp & Chicken & Shrimp Basil.

Great place for good Chinese food, family owned and operated. Variety of choices on the menu. Very clean Friendly owner

Our order, owners pictures accurately represent the food. Zensai was a free bonus for online order
Paul V.

1st time trying although close to house. Was disappointed to see Ling Ling Dumplings close, but this is a good replacement. A complete overhaul of the interior and now is less "industrial" and more traditional. Their online ordering system is very good, and took about 20 mins. Until ready. Well packed and large amounts. Our order is on the attached photo. The flavors were very good. The fried rice not greasy. The app plate was unexpected but the round shrimp lollipops were outstanding. The crab puffs were a tad overfried. The eggs rolls are very good. Not sure if made here, but handmade by someone - full of veggies! In all a very good meal and will be added to our rotation...

On my most recent visit we ordered mapo tofu with pork intestines off the specials menu - a hybrid of two of my favorite Sichuan-style dishes. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. Maybe you'd prefer the aromatic, classic, perfectly balanced three-cup chicken? Or the sweet-skinned duck, glazed so delicately that specks of sugar crystal threaten to jump off onto the plate as you pick up a juicy slice with your chopsticks? And if you're vegetarian, might you consider the punchy garlic eggplant or the wok-kissed string beans? I could go on. Do yourself a favor and come see for yourself, though I'd recommend parallel parking on the neighborhood streets behind the restaurant rather than the rocky parking lot, to save you some trouble. Bring friends and chow down family style - you'll need help covering as much of the menu as you can, but you'll definitely have to come back to try everything.

The takeout team member was pleasant enough. They feature an open kitchen with two tops closer to the wall/glass and larger tables more toward the middle of the restaurant. Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.

My friend Aurora wanted to meet Donna early dinner and gossip session and she really liked this place. (We tried having a team lunch at the Rice Village location during the cold front last Oct but they had no heat so we opted for a warmer place but she grabbed a to go on the way home) Here we are for a late lunch 3:45 pm on a Friday. Parking was none had to drive around the block and saw some movement and bam, someone was leaving. We ordered at the bar, staff was super nice and opted to sit outside. Did not realize they deliver to the table. Order: Mongolian beef combo with fried rice and egg roll $14.99 The food comes in takeaway style containers. Win. Mongolian beef (2.5/5) - slightly over sauced for me; beef was pretty tender and there were carrots and edamame which is not the standard so maybe that's what makes it fusion? Fried rice (3/5) - standard style fried with small pieces of bean sprouts which I love so that was a nice surprise Egg roll (3/5) - I assume it was chicken because I didn't realize there was a choice) - it was crunchy and soft on the inside which I like, and pairs well with sriracha (did not eat till I got home) They seem to do a whole lot of take away. The staff were nice and hard working. I was excited when they first opened bc they had chow fun on the menu and being HK Cantonese, I love that dish but when I ordered it the 1st and 2nd time eight years ago instead of bean sprouts they had cabbage and that alters rhe flavor tremendously. I see why it's popular among the people but just don't think it is for my taste.

She immediately asked what we wanted in a rude tone, which set an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. There was a sign on the table advertising a "free appetizer" if you take a photo and tag the restaurant on social media. I followed the instructions exactly as stated, but when I mentioned it, the server initially refused to honor the promotion. After I pointed out the sign, she appeared upset and walked away. I saw she went to speak to another employee and cracked a smiled and looked over. She later returned and offered a small discount instead. The issue wasn't about the money or the discount, it was the principle. The promotion was clearly advertised, and I simply followed the restaurant's own policy. It was disappointing to feel like the restaurant was reluctant to honor something they were actively promoting. I hope management addresses this because customer service and consistency with advertised promotions make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
