We have been there a couple of times. We love the spicy grilled fish, very tasty. The spicy and sour soup is great too.

Unlike some Dim Sum restaurants, Tim Ho Wan's menu clearly indicates whether a dish is vegetarian or vegan, which I truly appreciate. And even more rare, they actually have a few vegan options. Out of all the dishes we ordered, I thought the Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp was the best and would rate it 5/5. The rice roll was moist, silky smooth, tender, and slightly chewy, and tasted fresh. The vegan Spinach Steamed Dumpling was my least favorite and would give it 2/5. The Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow) was good (4/5) and would totally order it again. The servers were friendly and helpful whenever there were present. I had to flag them down a few times. While I'm not sure I'd add this spot to my regular restaurant rotation, it's definitely worth checking out once.

Once inside, I found the restaurant to be clean and I was seated right away. The interior displayed average brightness. On a Saturday lunch, it was about 3/4 full. They are mainly known for their international locations with several having a Michelin star, but not so much for their US locations. I tried to order beef ribs since it was a highly praised dish recommended by David N. and the waitress initially said they had them but then couldn't find them on the menu and pointed me to brisket instead. I just ended up ordering chicken feet, har gow, baked bbq buns, custard/lava buns, eggplant shrimp, shrimp roll and wonton soup. My table also ended up getting an extra dish for free since they brought it to the wrong table. This was a baked pork bun. This free item ended up being one of my favorites actualy as I thought it was even better than their bbq buns. My least fav was the chicken feet. They are a weird color, have an okay flavor but just weren't that good. I thought the rest of the items were just average dim sum. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

Food and drinks: This place has well designed menu that lets you easily choose from many different dishes. There is something for everyone here, from soups to shareable dishes, noodle options, and variety of meats. The spice levels are added for awareness. The food was very flavoursome, well seasoned and balanced. All foods had traditional flavours to them. You can choose flavoured green teas to accompany your meal. Pricing: $$ - definitely worth it for the taste, quality and quantity of food served.

Service was spot on, quick, and we got our food in what felt like maybe a few minutes. We started off with pork dumplings for the kiddo, which he INHALED in moments. For entrees, we split the orange chicken and the Spicy/Numbing Pot. The orange chicken was spot on. The sauce was sweet but not painfully sweet or thick/clumpy. Really nice orange flavor and tender chicken. So much fun eating it since it is gluten free! Our kiddo also devoured this dish! Mild - not spicy at all! The Spicy Numbing Pot, while a little oily/greasy on the bottom, was still delicious! I appreciated that it wasn't knock your socks off spicy - it had a solid kick, and so flavorful. I love eating dishes with Sichuan Pepper; it has a lot of flavor, and the tingling is so much fun. This dish was perfect with some rice, and it wasn't too heavy for the middle of the day. The prices were really reasonable, and there was enough food for leftovers which we ate later that night. Our only regret is not getting the duck appetizer, but we will be sure to get it next time. We can't wait to go back, and Tiger Noodle will happily be in regular rotation for our family! You can't go wrong!
