I've heard this place is DTF dupe, so I had to go try. I love Din Tai Fung, so my expectations were high. I ordered some similar items, but it was a disappointment. The noodle dish I got was very salty, so I wouldn't recommend it. The fried rice was delicious even though it's just fried rice. Restaurant is small and seats are crammed together, so you don't have that much room. The service was okay! It's a little bit harder to grab a servers attention when it's packed, so keep that in mind.

I treated my dad to a family lunch here for Father's Day and even though it was 1) a Sunday, 2) lunch hour rush, and 3) a well known family holiday, the waitlist moved along quickly and the service was prompt. My first impression was already good, but the experience continued to get better. The menu is great, with plenty of classic Taiwanese and Shanghainese staples and a couple of respectful but experimental dishes. Lots of xiao long bao options. Drink menu has a lot of variety. It's super pretty inside! Great for a special occasion. EVERYTHING we tried was so good. Portions are on the smaller side, but it felt like the perfect amount of food for us. We ordered: - Wild mushroom fried rice (5++/5): This was the surprise hit at our table. I would come back just for this alone - Beef roll (5/5): Delicious!! These aren't rice rolls, but they're rolled in what looks like more like pastry. - Wagyu beef xiao long bao (4/5): I don't think wagyu beef was necessary if it's going to be hidden in soupy xiao long bao anyway, but we ordered it for the special occasion. This was still delicious but I'll go with more of the classics in the future. - Matcha lava xiao long bao (3/5): This was a little too sweet/overpowering for me but my matcha loving dad really enjoyed these! This was my first time visiting, but wow, this restaurant quickly flew up my rankings of favorite places to eat in Houston! - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5

Best Xiao long bao soup dumplings in town! Food was delish and atmosphere was beautiful and clean, service was great too! If you're looking for dim sum this menu is limited to dumplings and other dishes.

Place is cute, decorated well, clean. I just thought the flavors were lacking in the rice (so bland) and cucumber, the drinks were terrible (why is my margarita carbonated?) and I didn't care for their Bao. Its also very small so we were like half an arms length from table next to use, kinda noisy environment. The pan fried dumplings were good - recommend trying those. And I like they had wild mushroom fried rice, thats unique but could use some more flavor. I got my son the spicy dumplings to go and he only ate one because he didnt like the insides, and he's a dumpling-holic. Just all in all it was a one and done for me. Since it's in Asia town, parking is a mess and non-existent, but the place it self was not busy. We walked right in with no wait. Waitress was nice. Prices were decent (except drinks were over priced for the quality) **updating my review because the restaurant did respond, which I always appreciate. Shows they care.

Chili Oil Dumplings + Pan fried Dumplings + Fried Rice + Asparagus w/ mushroom + Steamed dumplings

Came here with my sister and friend. Staff was very friendly. Inside is pretty. The food wait was kinda long but its bearable. Chili Oil Dumplings: Pretty good, not as spicy just very oily sauce. 9/10. Pan Fried Dumplings: My favorite! Inside was very juicy and delicious. 10/10! Friend rice: Delicious, a good portion to share with 3 people. Chicken was tender. 9/10. Steamed dumplings: They were alright. Very juicy tho. 7/10. Asparagus w/ mushroom: Very well seasoned, just not my personal favorite. 5/10.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The food is great the server was the friendliest and gave amazing Service. I plan to come with my family at least once a month. So fresh. The quality you get from here is top tier every time. I have even had this ordered to go for lunch and I get the same great quality on my to go orders as well. Ambiance is amazing!

A very specialized restaurant from the perspective of Bao and I found every one of them that I ordered simply wonderful inclusive of pork, chicken, crab, beef as well. I had some spicy cucumber and the next time I'm going to order it with steamed rice, which is also readily available. I do not know how close to authentic this Bao is however, regardless of its authenticity it has a wonderful flavor that is well worth experiencing. Aside from the wonderful food is the equally wonderful service which was efficient effective and fun. The waiter we had was absolutely perfect given that we did not have experience in this particular menu. In this particular case, he also seem to be seconding as the bartender and he did quite a marvelous job at that although frankly, I simply had a Nigiri sake, which was wonderful. It is a relatively small area, but the ambience is quite well appointed. I would say somewhat modern for 2026. Everything was clean well appointed and a pleasant atmosphere overall. I would encourage whoever is reading to make reservations, especially on a weekend night as the waiting list if for walk-ins is rather extensive. This is a restaurant well worth visiting in Katiy Asia town

Each visit has been consistent with food and service. Nice ambiance for friendly hangs out and causal date night. My go to would be the Szechuan spicy xiaolongbao, crab & pork xiaolongbao, shrimp & pork xiaolongbao, supreme tan tan noodles, wild mushroom friced rice (husband fav), pork chop fried rice, and stir fried green beans. Gets a little expensive if for larger groups due to portion sizes.

Allow me to add to the heaps of praise this place gets. This restaurant is in the same vein as Din Tai Fung but more local and, in my opinion, better in almost every way. The service is excellent and you're greeted the moment you walk through the door. Before you're seated, you look around and this place is well decorated and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Once seated, the food comes out quite fast and is warm and freshly prepared. We didn't try their cocktails, but the Diet Coke was crisp. We took pictures of everything we got - I would go through each one but the feedback is the same. Every item was cooked to perfection and had extraordinary flavor and spicy level. Generally, I would say you have to try this place to believe just how good it is. We'll definitely be back.

Tried Supreme Dumplings for Sunday lunch and got seated right away thanks to a Yelp reservation. This might be my new favorite spot for soup dumplings in Houston. It's the closest I've found to Din Tai Fung, the dumpling wrappers are super thin and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only dish I didn't love was the spicy cucumbers, which could use a little improvement. Other than that, everything was great. The restaurant is cute with an upscale feel, service was attentive (our water glasses were always full), and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely coming back!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stopped in for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience. We ordered the spicy wontons, spicy pork soup dumplings, and hot and sour soup -- and every single dish delivered. The soup dumplings were perfectly made, packed with flavor, and you could tell they were fresh. The spicy wontons had just the right kick, and the hot and sour soup was rich, balanced, and comforting. I came during lunch, and there was no line or wait, which was a nice surprise. I've heard that dinner usually requires a reservation or comes with a long wait, so lunchtime is definitely a great time to go. The restaurant is fairly new, and they've done an incredible job with the space. It's beautifully decorated -- high-end, trendy, and very inviting. One of the coolest features is being able to see into the kitchen and watch them making the dumplings fresh from the main dining room. The staff was excellent -- truly amazing. Everyone was so nice, attentive, and helpful, which made the entire experience even better. Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish. I highly recommend and will absolutely be back!

This is nowhere near a Din Tai Fung dupe, but the food is solid here nonetheless. The pan fried dumplings recommended by our server Anthony were my favorite bite of the night, would go back here just for this. I found the supreme XLB didn't have much flavor, but they have a sichuan spicy XLB option which was good and I preferred that one. The atmosphere and service was excellent so I would be down to come here again if they made the XLBs more flavorful

I am a huge fan of dumplings and love to try new dumpling places. Saw Supreme Dumplings on my search and thought of giving it a try. I loved the interior's simplicity and wall accents. The menu was short and simple. I had the Supreme Pork Xiao Long Bao, Mini Pan-Fried Dumplings, Pork Chop Fried Rice, Supreme Tan Tan Noodles, and Sweet Taro Xiao Long Bao as my dessert. The skin of the pork xiao long bao was thin and the filling was of good proportion. However, the soup inside didn't have much depth to it. Thus the xiao long bao was just ok. The mini pan-fried dumplings were good and had some soup inside, so be careful when biting into one. The pork chop fried rice missed the mark for me. Firstly, it wasn't presented nicely. Secondly, the fried pork chop was fried in old oil, thus the taste of it wasn't good. The fried rice was decent, but too much chives. The Tan Tan noodles' soup was flavorful, but the ground pork was little to no existence. The taro xiao long bao was tiny, but each one of them was filled wholly. The filling wasn't too sweet, therefore it was enjoyable to finish the dish alone. Overall, the only dish I enjoyed thoroughly was the dessert- taro xiao long bao. As the restaurant is small, I would recommend getting a reservation to avoid long wait time or disappointment. Finding a parking spot may be challenging due to the area filled with many restaurants.

Alas, we made that trek once again, because my craving needed to be quelled! We were dining with a friend who lives less than 10 minutes from the restaurant, and I told her I envied her and that if I lived that close, I'd dine there at least twice a week! So why the 4 stars this time? So the service, which is usually mid, was quite standoffish this time. We had to flag someone down to request drink refills, and when we asked a nearby server if we could order more food, she fake-smiled at me with daggers and wordlessly got someone else to assist. The male server was gracious, but the rest seemed to not want to be there. And while most of what we had was STELLAR as usual, 2 dishes were under particularly under-seasoned this go-round: the congee with pork had next to no flavor at all, and the pan fried turnip cake - always one of my go-tos - was also under-seasoned and - now that I'm looking at my photo from a previous review, was missing the accompanying sauce. Hmmmmm. The restaurant continued to be hopping, even upon our arrival at around 2:25pm, and when we entered, a few tables were unclean, which is never a good look. For entrees, we split the orange chicken and the Spicy/Numbing Pot. The orange chicken was spot on. The sauce was sweet but not painfully sweet or thick/clumpy. Really nice orange flavor and tender chicken. So much fun eating it since it is gluten free! Our kiddo also devoured this dish! Mild - not spicy at all! The Spicy Numbing Pot, while a little oily/greasy on the bottom, was still delicious! I appreciated that it wasn't knock your socks off spicy - it had a solid kick, and so flavorful. I love eating dishes with Sichuan Pepper; it has a lot of flavor, and the tingling is so much fun. This dish was perfect with some rice, and it wasn't too heavy for the middle of the day. The prices were really reasonable, and there was enough food for leftovers which we ate later that night. Our only regret is not getting the duck appetizer, but we will be sure to get it next time. The lack of an English sign didn't help, as I figured Yan Kei was all about BBQ (#1) and Yan Tea was something like a cafe, when in fact it was the same place the entire time. Still, the rarity that is Cantonese siu mei in Houston, let alone Katy, makes this place still worth a look. It's always great to see the daily selection of meats hanging near the window to entice folks. They have roast duck, soya chicken, BBQ pork, and a very crispy siu yuk pork belly. I think their 3 meat combo over rice (三寶飯) is the way to go. It's the most ideal lunch option and could also make for a fairly hearty early dinner meal. I wouldn't go too late though, since most of their meats are at their optimal freshness during the early morning / afternoon. It's not that spacious, but it's enough for small'ish groups to dine. Takeout is pretty common here, often with some kind of bubble tea. I'm not particularly fond of the latter, but then again I've never seen a specialty Cantonese BBQ place and bubble tea do either particularly well. Another area that they're solid in is the congee selection. The pork and preserved egg are enjoyable despite the pricetag ($9) and the fish slice congee also gets a thumbs up. Prices are adequate for Katy and the service is good overall.
