Allow me to add to the heaps of praise this place gets. This restaurant is in the same vein as Din Tai Fung but more local and, in my opinion, better in almost every way. The service is excellent and you're greeted the moment you walk through the door. Before you're seated, you look around and this place is well decorated and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Once seated, the food comes out quite fast and is warm and freshly prepared. We didn't try their cocktails, but the Diet Coke was crisp. We took pictures of everything we got - I would go through each one but the feedback is the same. Every item was cooked to perfection and had extraordinary flavor and spicy level. I treated my dad to a family lunch here for Father's Day and even though it was 1) a Sunday, 2) lunch hour rush, and 3) a well known family holiday, the waitlist moved along quickly and the service was prompt. We ordered: - Wild mushroom fried rice (5++/5): This was the surprise hit at our table. I would come back just for this alone - Beef roll (5/5): Delicious!! These aren't rice rolls, but they're rolled in what looks like more like pastry. - Wagyu beef xiao long bao (4/5): I don't think wagyu beef was necessary if it's going to be hidden in soupy xiao long bao anyway, but we ordered it for the special occasion. I came here for dumplings and normally those places are pretty casual, but this is actually a very nice and intimate/romantic spot perfect for a date night. As well as a group setting because all of the food really can be shared. We all ended up getting three different flavors of dumplings and shared a shrimp & mushroom bean sprout salad. I just thought the flavors were lacking in the rice (so bland) and cucumber, the drinks were terrible (why is my margarita carbonated?) and I didn't care for their Bao. Its also very small so we were like half an arms length from table next to use, kinda noisy environment. The pan fried dumplings were good - recommend trying those. And I like they had wild mushroom fried rice, thats unique but could use some more flavor. I got my son the spicy dumplings to go and he only ate one because he didnt like the insides, and he's a dumpling-holic. Just all in all it was a one and done for me. A very specialized restaurant from the perspective of Bao and I found every one of them that I ordered simply wonderful inclusive of pork, chicken, crab, beef as well. I had some spicy cucumber and the next time I'm going to order it with steamed rice, which is also readily available. I do not know how close to authentic this Bao is however, regardless of its authenticity it has a wonderful flavor that is well worth experiencing. Aside from the wonderful food is the equally wonderful service which was efficient effective and fun. The waiter we had was absolutely perfect given that we did not have experience in this particular menu. In this particular case, he also seem to be seconding as the bartender and he did quite a marvelous job at that although frankly, I simply had a Nigiri sake, which was wonderful. It is a relatively small area, but the ambience is quite well appointed. I would say somewhat modern for 2026. Everything was clean well appointed and a pleasant atmosphere overall. I would encourage whoever is reading to make reservations, especially on a weekend night as the waiting list if for walk-ins is rather extensive. Tried Supreme Dumplings for Sunday lunch and got seated right away thanks to a Yelp reservation. This might be my new favorite spot for soup dumplings in Houston. It's the closest I've found to Din Tai Fung, the dumpling wrappers are super thin and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only dish I didn't love was the spicy cucumbers, which could use a little improvement. Other than that, everything was great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stopped in for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience. We ordered the spicy wontons, spicy pork soup dumplings, and hot and sour soup -- and every single dish delivered. The soup dumplings were perfectly made, packed with flavor, and you could tell they were fresh. The spicy wontons had just the right kick, and the hot and sour soup was rich, balanced, and comforting. I came during lunch, and there was no line or wait, which was a nice surprise. I've heard that dinner usually requires a reservation or comes with a long wait, so lunchtime is definitely a great time to go. I am a huge fan of dumplings and love to try new dumpling places. Saw Supreme Dumplings on my search and thought of giving it a try. I loved the interior's simplicity and wall accents. The menu was short and simple. I had the Supreme Pork Xiao Long Bao, Mini Pan-Fried Dumplings, Pork Chop Fried Rice, Supreme Tan Tan Noodles, and Sweet Taro Xiao Long Bao as my dessert. The skin of the pork xiao long bao was thin and the filling was of good proportion. However, the soup inside didn't have much depth to it. Thus the xiao long bao was just ok. The mini pan-fried dumplings were good and had some soup inside, so be careful when biting into one. The pork chop fried rice missed the mark for me. Firstly, it wasn't presented nicely. Secondly, the fried pork chop was fried in old oil, thus the taste of it wasn't good. The fried rice was decent, but too much chives. The Tan Tan noodles' soup was flavorful, but the ground pork was little to no existence. The taro xiao long bao was tiny, but each one of them was filled wholly. The filling wasn't too sweet, therefore it was enjoyable to finish the dish alone. Overall, the only dish I enjoyed thoroughly was the dessert- taro xiao long bao. As the restaurant is small, I would recommend getting a reservation to avoid long wait time or disappointment. Made reservations here for a Sunday evening. There was a wait and a line outside. So I recommend a reservation if you decide to come. The restaurant is small inside. There is a hostess stand and the bar, which was used to hold supplies and dirty plates at the time I arrived, which is not something you want to see. I got here 3 minutes before my reservation and was asked to wait because the hostess was deciding to wait for another party or sit me. The other party wasn't even here or checked in, so I don't know why I had to wait if I was on time. Order some soup dumplings, mini pan-fried dumplings, and pork wonton noodle soup. For the dumplings as a whole, they have a nice flavor in all of them. The pork wonton noodle soup needs some adjusting. There is no flavor in the soup; all the flavor is in the wonton, which only tastes like ginger for some reason. Also, all the food came out at room temperature or slightly on the colder side, which is weird. Other guests around said the same thing and made the restaurant redo some of their food. Their service was on the slow side too. Multiple people around me had to wave for the waiter/waitress, just like me. Went here for lunch on a Thursday and really enjoyed all the food. The ambiance was nice but unpretentious. I heard that people have lined up for this place, so it was a nice surprise that we were able to be seated immediately with our large party (10). My side of the table did family style and ordered the tan tan noodles, Szechuan spicy XLB, the supreme pork XLB, mini pan fried dumplings, pork chop fried rice, the stir fried seasonal greens with garlic, and the famous charcoal gold lava custard bun w/gold flakes to share. The tan tan noodles were a great balance of nutty, savory and only subtly spicy. The noodles were chewy and the dish was tasty overall. (7/10) The Szechuan spicy XLB was the star of the meal for me. This was super unique and had the kick of spice that I really enjoyed. (9/10) The supreme pork XLB were also yummy. The broth was flavorful and exactly what I'd expect from a XLB. (7/10) The mini pan fried dumplings were juicy and had a perfect crispy bottom. (7.5/10) The pork chop fried rice was great as well. The pork chop was tender and the batter was well seasoned. I felt like this dish was a good portion compared to the others as well. (8/10) The stir-fried greens with garlic were standard, nothing speacial. I think next time I would get the green beans instead. (5/10) The charcoal gold lava custard bun w/gold flakes were good, but I think they were a bit over hyped for me. They are a good sweet bun to end the meal with but were nothing to write home about. I also felt like for the price it should come with more than 3 buns. (6/10) Overall, the food was great. The best item on the menu was the sautéed vegetables. The wonton noodle was super bland, the chilli oil wontons were cooked nice but the chilli oil barely provided any flavour, the soup dumplings were thick and the broth was boring. Expect long waits and those who come to restaurants in the last 20 minutes of closing time... what is wrong with you? Talk about not being respectful of people's time and business establishments... Anywho, I knew they would be a long wait so we came here hours ahead and had to wait about 45-50 minutes before being taken to our table. No worries, we got snacks from H-mart that I had to try to not snack on. Luckily, as soon as you joined the waiting list, you will get a text when it's almost time so you can walk back instead of crowding the front of the restaurant or their bar area. Upon sitting down, it looks esthetically nice and attention to details so good job on the interior designer. With that said, lots of tables open - thinking it's because due to short staff. I honestly felt bad for my server. One of his customers hated her food, took only a few bite and left while at another table, he spilled drinks on the customers. Anyways, my server was having a bad night so we tried to be as nice as possible while making note in the back of our head of their closing time so their staffs can go home in a timely matter. Food... overall, not bad but not great. Part of it was because I wanted the majority of the food out at the same time. I should have asked for the lids to cover and keep some of them warm but I won't take stars off due to our part of wanting to wait. Szechuan Spicy Xiao Long Bao - my favorite of the bunch. Supreme Tan Tan Noodles - I would skip it next time, it just didn't do it for me. Although not a bad to share. Shrimp & Pork Dumplings - one of my friends favorite. I thought it was good too with the feelings and wonton wraps they use. Black Sesame Mochi Rice Balls (peanut and matcha flavors) - Onyx Lava Custard Bun with Gold Flakes - a girl loves her gold and this is no exception. I'm bougie, aiight? lol. Honestly though, their custard buns are delicious. It's not too sweet from what I'm used to for custard buns. It was fluffy and warm. Read a lot about supreme dumplings ever since they opened in Katy Asia town. Finally got to give it a try for lunch today. Went in around 130-230 and it had a good consistent stream of customers. Really only saw 2, maybe 3 servers though. But despite this-service was fair to good. She we got our table, we had to ask the servers to clean our seats bc it still had food and crumbs from the previous customers. The inside decor was chic to modern. They have a good drink menu with 0.99 mimosas if come before noon. We had our baby with us and they were very accommodating for his stroller and making plenty of room for it. Food order: Szechuan spicy XLB: 5/5 easily the best dish! The Szechuan spice was prominent and overall spicy. Amazing flavor though and the pork was seasoned well. Black truffle and chicken XLB: 3/5, a bit underwhelming. The initial bite had a hint of truffle but then it was absent during the rest of the mouth fill. Chicken was a bit bland imo compared to the pork XLB. Stir fried string beans: 4/5, nothing amazing or special but good consistent dish. Crunchy string beans with mushrooms. Wild mushroom fried rice: 4/5, this was a unique dish! King oyster mushrooms with these little white round egg white pieces and green beans- had a nice umami flavor. Mini pan fried dumplings: 5/5. Great consistent dish as well. Good crisp and retained a good amount of juices and moisture inside-- careful it can pop out juices like an XLB. Overall good experience. Overpriced for the quality of food. The place is nice, but the food was mediocre at best. The chicken xiao didn't have any soup and was mushy in texture. I didn't like the soup in the crab and pork xiao, it was generic and sweet. The mini pan fried dumplings and the stir fried greens with garlic were the only good things we ordered. I knew this place looked familiar when I saw the menu - I wrote an extensive review for their Bellevue location last year! The times are decently aligned with my past experience in Bellevue. One small surprise was being served our vegetables and entrees before our Xiao long bao (soup dumplings). Previous review highlighted the Hot & Spicy Soup and Crab XLB as being very good. General Bao Improvement: I'm not a fan of whatever paper they're using. It sticks too much to the bao and therefore leads to tearing when you try to pick it up. I think that could be improved. (-0.5 for the Baos) Szechuan Spicy Xiao Long Bao (4.5/5): Seriously no sauce needed here! It comes with a fantastic peppercorn kick and is extremely flavorful. One of the most unique XLB flavors I've had. Black Truffle & Chicken Xiao Long Bao (4/5): I don't think I'd order this again for the value, but it was also quite a unique flavor. Very pricey for what it is but the truffle comes through and they are tasty. Truffle Mushroom Roll (4.5/5): Biggest surprise of the night was a recommendation from the table next to us. The best way I can describe this is a weightier, fried spring roll. And I'm all about it. Dips well with the normal soy sauce-vinegar mix you'd have for an XLB too. Pork Wonton Noodle Soup (4/5, partner 5/5): I have to highlight that this was my partner's favorite dish. For me, the wontons were nice and light but a little bland, and the noodles stuck together a bit too much. But once you got it apart, the noodles actually took on a great seafood flavor. Ended up liking this more than expected. Taiwanese Cold Noodle (Spicy) (3.5/5): I didn't think this was anything crazy and needed more vegetables and meat, but I also didn't have the sesame sauce with it. Stir Fry String Beans (5/5): Still excellently crispy and very sharable. Must-get vegetable side if you like veggies. Chocolate Melt Xiao Long Bao (??/5): I admit we didn't order this but another table let us try one each. It comes with 6 but I don't think I could handle more than one. It's very sweet and explodes with chocolate in your mouth like a melted Lindt chocolate. Great experience, too intense to have more than one haha. Onyx Lava Custard Buns with Gold Flakes (4.5/5): Comes with a set of 3. Fantastic light and not too sweet dessert. Very picturesque too. Drinks: The lychee Green Tea actually had very nice lychee notes. It was a tad sweet for me, and the drink was served warm with ice instead of chilled. (3.5/5 Last but definitely not least, a shout-out to our fantastic and attentive server Lila for great service. Overall, most of the dishes we had were very good. It's a bit pricier but comes with some unique twists on Xiao long bao and many dishes are quite sharable. Service was friendly and attentive. We ate here on their very first day during their soft opening! Nice service and interior decor. Meat was fresh and tender. We enjoyed the pan fried dumplings, beef noodles, and pork Katsu noodles the most. Their signature xiao long bao fell short of expectations - they tasted bland and the broth/juice inside was not flavorful. Beautiful new facility out at Katy Asian town. Great service and a good amount of dumplings and other items to satisfy your hunger. I tried the supreme pork xlb and the shrimp and pork XLB. The food is absolutely delicious. I don't have not one complain about it 10 out of 10 for the food. The service was also really good. My server was amazing and attentive, even though they were getting ready to close. I never felt that I was being rushed 10 out of 10. My only gripe is that the timing of which the food came out. It did not come out together. It came out bit by bit and I was by myself and I only ordered two things and it took 10 minutes for the dumplings to come out after the rice had already came out, so the rice was already cold by then. read more

The last full day in Humble Texas was Sunday, 12/28/2025 and the time was quickly approaching to run a 50 mile race in Missouri City, Texas starting on Tuesday, 12/30/2025. Ignorance is bliss, I guess. My friend and her husband took me here to this Chinese restaurant called Supreme Dumplings in Katy. I'm not a resident here, just visiting. So, it was good that I came here for a break from Vietnamese food and standard burgers and fries, which are readily available in Texas. With that said, we arrived here around 10:45am. There was a 10 minute wait, so we placed our names on the list and waited before a table became available. We eventually entered and sat at a table that was basically in the middle of the restaurant. We spent about an hour or so eating and feasting. The menu was cute and it was definitely a place where you could dine after attending church, recovering from long run, or a pick up basket ball game on Sundays. My friends decided to order for me while I picked something extra off the menu. We ended up eating family style and it was very nice. It was very nice and casual. The restaurant itself was very clean and the service was very much spot on and friendly. I would definitely recommended if you enjoy boutique restaurant surroundings while having Chinese cuisine on a lazy Sunday. The overall experience here at Supreme Dumplings was very good and satisfying for sure. We ordered about 5 or 6 dishes and shared family style. I asked about their beef noodle soup and if it was similar to Pho. Turns out it is not. The taste of the soup says it all. Too bad though. Lol. Still, it was delicious. We also ordered a tan tan noodle dish that was prepared differently than the soupy Japanese version. It was quite interesting and delicious too. The ambiance was nice and relaxed. Very nice and comfortable for sure. Everything was delicious and well done. If you are ever in the Katy area of Houston, Texas, consider coming to Supreme Dumplings if you are a fan of Chinese cuisine or want to try out something other than the standard fast food options out there. While it can be healthier, it probably is, depending on what you have while you are here. For my experience here, I feel like it was a nice lunch and definitely one that I enjoyed that day. The prices were on point with what they were offering and I didn't look at prices because I was on vacation. Supreme Dumplings Chinese restaurant is located in Katy, Texas. It's physically located at 23119 Colonial Parkway in the heart of Katy. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's not much parking stalls here, since they share with other restaurants and businesses. Best bet would be to come here early enough to secure your parking spot before the lunch or dinner rush begins. If you are like me, public transportation could get you here, but I am not sure if there are routes that will come out to Katy and provide service from Houston proper. Best thing to do is to rent a car or find local friends to dine with. That always helps. There's always Uber or Lyft to get you to this slice of heaven, if you can. There's always Uber and Lyft at your convenience. But however, it can be pricy but I'm sure It will be well worthwhile. And so, if you find yourself out in Katy and need a bite to eat, consider Supreme Dumplings for lunch tomorrow. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B read more

I came in when they were just opening and was able to walk in and be seated immediately. It's cool how you can watch them make dumplings while at your table. The tables are very close together though, and I was seated next to a couple where the tables share a long bench and it felt like the three of us were on a date. This might be better if they were busy, but they weren't so it was awkward. The spicy cucumber salad was old and sad there was no crunch to the cucumber, which leads me to believe it wasn't fresh. The dumplings weren't very flavorful either. Hopefully it was just a fluke, but was hoping to have something comparable to Din Tai Fung considering the prices. read more
