Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. You can see the dumplings being made fresh from the kitchen window. My son and I came here for lunch today and we were pleasantly pleased. We normally can't eat Chinese food because of the heaviness feeling afterwards but we enjoyed everything and felt great after we ate. Highly recommend.

Tried Supreme Dumplings for Sunday lunch and got seated right away thanks to a Yelp reservation. This might be my new favorite spot for soup dumplings in Houston. It's the closest I've found to Din Tai Fung, the dumpling wrappers are super thin and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only dish I didn't love was the spicy cucumbers, which could use a little improvement. Other than that, everything was great. The restaurant is cute with an upscale feel, service was attentive (our water glasses were always full), and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely coming back!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stopped in for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience. We ordered the spicy wontons, spicy pork soup dumplings, and hot and sour soup -- and every single dish delivered. The soup dumplings were perfectly made, packed with flavor, and you could tell they were fresh. The spicy wontons had just the right kick, and the hot and sour soup was rich, balanced, and comforting. I came during lunch, and there was no line or wait, which was a nice surprise. I've heard that dinner usually requires a reservation or comes with a long wait, so lunchtime is definitely a great time to go. The restaurant is fairly new, and they've done an incredible job with the space. It's beautifully decorated -- high-end, trendy, and very inviting. One of the coolest features is being able to see into the kitchen and watch them making the dumplings fresh from the main dining room. The staff was excellent -- truly amazing. Everyone was so nice, attentive, and helpful, which made the entire experience even better. Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish. I highly recommend and will absolutely be back!

This is nowhere near a Din Tai Fung dupe, but the food is solid here nonetheless. The pan fried dumplings recommended by our server Anthony were my favorite bite of the night, would go back here just for this. I found the supreme XLB didn't have much flavor, but they have a sichuan spicy XLB option which was good and I preferred that one. The atmosphere and service was excellent so I would be down to come here again if they made the XLBs more flavorful

I am a huge fan of dumplings and love to try new dumpling places. Saw Supreme Dumplings on my search and thought of giving it a try. I loved the interior's simplicity and wall accents. The menu was short and simple. I had the Supreme Pork Xiao Long Bao, Mini Pan-Fried Dumplings, Pork Chop Fried Rice, Supreme Tan Tan Noodles, and Sweet Taro Xiao Long Bao as my dessert. The skin of the pork xiao long bao was thin and the filling was of good proportion. However, the soup inside didn't have much depth to it. Thus the xiao long bao was just ok. The mini pan-fried dumplings were good and had some soup inside, so be careful when biting into one. The pork chop fried rice missed the mark for me. Firstly, it wasn't presented nicely. Secondly, the fried pork chop was fried in old oil, thus the taste of it wasn't good. The fried rice was decent, but too much chives. The Tan Tan noodles' soup was flavorful, but the ground pork was little to no existence. The taro xiao long bao was tiny, but each one of them was filled wholly. The filling wasn't too sweet, therefore it was enjoyable to finish the dish alone. Overall, the only dish I enjoyed thoroughly was the dessert- taro xiao long bao. As the restaurant is small, I would recommend getting a reservation to avoid long wait time or disappointment. Finding a parking spot may be challenging due to the area filled with many restaurants.

Overpriced for the quality of food. The place is nice, but the food was mediocre at best. The chicken xiao didn't have any soup and was mushy in texture. I didn't like the soup in the crab and pork xiao, it was generic and sweet. The mini pan fried dumplings and the stir fried greens with garlic were the only good things we ordered. Service was lacking, our waiter wasn't very attentive to us or to the table next to us. It's nice place inside, I just don't think the food quality matched the price. I've had better dumplings for less.

Made reservations here for a Sunday evening. There was a wait and a line outside. So I recommend a reservation if you decide to come. The restaurant is small inside. There is a hostess stand and the bar, which was used to hold supplies and dirty plates at the time I arrived, which is not something you want to see. I got here 3 minutes before my reservation and was asked to wait because the hostess was deciding to wait for another party or sit me. The other party wasn't even here or checked in, so I don't know why I had to wait if I was on time. Order some soup dumplings, mini pan-fried dumplings, and pork wonton noodle soup. For the dumplings as a whole, they have a nice flavor in all of them. The pork wonton noodle soup needs some adjusting. There is no flavor in the soup; all the flavor is in the wonton, which only tastes like ginger for some reason. Also, all the food came out at room temperature or slightly on the colder side, which is weird. Other guests around said the same thing and made the restaurant redo some of their food. Their service was on the slow side too. Multiple people around me had to wave for the waiter/waitress, just like me. Overall the food wasn't bad, it was everything else that came with it and the food temperature.

Went here for lunch on a Thursday and really enjoyed all the food. The ambiance was nice but unpretentious. I heard that people have lined up for this place, so it was a nice surprise that we were able to be seated immediately with our large party (10). My side of the table did family style and ordered the tan tan noodles, Szechuan spicy XLB, the supreme pork XLB, mini pan fried dumplings, pork chop fried rice, the stir fried seasonal greens with garlic, and the famous charcoal gold lava custard bun w/gold flakes to share. The tan tan noodles were a great balance of nutty, savory and only subtly spicy. The noodles were chewy and the dish was tasty overall. (7/10) The Szechuan spicy XLB was the star of the meal for me. This was super unique and had the kick of spice that I really enjoyed. (9/10) The supreme pork XLB were also yummy. The broth was flavorful and exactly what I'd expect from a XLB. (7/10) The mini pan fried dumplings were juicy and had a perfect crispy bottom. (7.5/10) The pork chop fried rice was great as well. The pork chop was tender and the batter was well seasoned. I felt like this dish was a good portion compared to the others as well. (8/10) The stir-fried greens with garlic were standard, nothing speacial. I think next time I would get the green beans instead. (5/10) The charcoal gold lava custard bun w/gold flakes were good, but I think they were a bit over hyped for me. They are a good sweet bun to end the meal with but were nothing to write home about. I also felt like for the price it should come with more than 3 buns. (6/10) Overall, the food was great. This is definitely one of the better food spots in Katy Asian town, however, it is on the pricier side and has smaller portions than I'd like. The service was friendly and the parking in the plaza is a bit difficult, but it is definitely worth a try!

Had a tasty meal here. Make a reservation on Yelp or join the waitlist when you arrive. The dining room is really nice and service was friendly and prompt. Besides the soup dumplings, the pork chop fried rice was probably our favorite. All of the food came out piping hot as it was ready. They also have cocktails and several tea and lemonade options.

The wait was about 10 mins around noon. You can add your name to the waitlist online. It was super packed. The supreme pork xiao long bao took the longest to bring out but it was worth the soupy wait. All the food we ordered was pretty good. Taiwan cold noodles, min pork dumplings, shrimp fried rice, shrimp wonton noodle soup and lava custard buns. The waiter needed to be prompted for to go containers and for the check. I would've figured they wanted to move the tables so that they could get more customers in. There wasn't a huge space for dine in. It's a little pricey but I would return another time.

If I could I would rate this spot a 3.5/5. heard good things about this new soup dumpling spot in Katy located in the hmart plaza so I came to try it out for lunch. They had a short wait for a weekday lunch but we didn't have reservations so we couldn't complain. The interior is nice inside for a dumpling spot. The menu is standard with xiao long bao (soup dumplings), pan fried dumplings, spicy wontons, appetizers, fried rice, noodles, soup, dessert. I couldn't help but notice it's similarity to din tai fung. Pork and Shrimp Xiao Long Bao: 3.5/5 skin was too thick and there wasn't much soup Spicy pork and shrimp wonton: 3/5 the sauce is straight chili oil without any other discernible flavors Mini pan fried soup dumpling: 3.5/5 the crispy bottom was nice but i've had better pan fried buns Pork chop fried rice: 4/5 surprisingly flavorful, the pork has bones so don't take a huge bite like i did Stir fried green beans: 4/5 these were also a surprising highlight. it comes with mushrooms which had so much flavor Overall, the food was just okay. I liked the non dumpling items better than the dumplings and if I were to come back I probably would just order these for myself. Service was quick and we were in and out in less than an hour.

Dumplings, dumplings, dumplings. Met the bestie on a Sunday at 1 pm. Make a reservation people. There was a bustling line but we got seated straight away. Our server was Helen N and she was great. Attentive but not overly and gave us some great suggestions. The restaurant is clean and bright. Nicely decorated and everyone was very helpful. Of course, we shared and ordered more than we needed but wanted to try things. Our order: shrimp and pork xiao long baos, mini pan fried dumplings, stir fry green beans, pork chop fried rice and peach oolong tea. Helen told us the supreme XLB were the fave but she preferred the shrimp and pork so we went with that and yassss. Shrimp and pork XLB (5/5) - good amount of filling (huge shrimp bits) and juicy, you can make your own sauce and I really liked their chili oil Mini pan fried baos (4/5) - wow, so juicy and perfect mix of crispy and tender, and the size was perfect to taste - sometimes the ratio on larger baos like this doesn't work well Stir fried green beans (4.5/5) - I love green beans esp if properly executed and these were - there were tiny mushrooms which accentuated the green beans and they were perfectly cooked - a slight crisp while also tender Pork chop fried rice (5/5) - this fried rice and pork chop combo were best friends - the pork chop was crispy on the outside and tender inside and flavorful but not overpowering and the fried rice was very delicious - it had a nice light taste that went with the slight salt from the pork chop; delightful Peach oolong tea (4/5) - nice assortment of teas but this was the perfect combo for us - the peach flavor wasn't overpowering and paired well with the oolong tea This was a great dining experience overall. Nice friendly staff, clean and organized restaurant and delicious food. It is in Katy Asia town so if you go on the weekends, be prepared to fight for parking. And again, make reservations. After lunch, we talked about wanting to come back to try some other items. Def give it a try.

Expect long waits and those who come to restaurants in the last 20 minutes of closing time... what is wrong with you? Talk about not being respectful of people's time and business establishments... Anywho, I knew they would be a long wait so we came here hours ahead and had to wait about 45-50 minutes before being taken to our table. No worries, we got snacks from H-mart that I had to try to not snack on. Luckily, as soon as you joined the waiting list, you will get a text when it's almost time so you can walk back instead of crowding the front of the restaurant or their bar area. Upon sitting down, it looks esthetically nice and attention to details so good job on the interior designer. With that said, lots of tables open - thinking it's because due to short staff. I honestly felt bad for my server. One of his customers hated her food, took only a few bite and left while at another table, he spilled drinks on the customers. Anyways, my server was having a bad night so we tried to be as nice as possible while making note in the back of our head of their closing time so their staffs can go home in a timely matter. Food... overall, not bad but not great. Part of it was because I wanted the majority of the food out at the same time. I should have asked for the lids to cover and keep some of them warm but I won't take stars off due to our part of wanting to wait. Szechuan Spicy Xiao Long Bao - my favorite of the bunch. If you like some spice and XO sauce, you may enjoy this. I like the kick. Shrimp & Pork Xiao Long Bao - good but overall okay. Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao - my least favorite, along with everyone at the table. Personally, it's not my favorite texture of it being so smooshed and grind up. Mini Pan Fried Dumplings - I expected more. My favorites are still from Montreal. I thought it was overall okay. Nothing stood out to me. The pork filling felt a tad heavier than I like. Supreme Tan Tan Noodles - I would skip it next time, it just didn't do it for me. Although not a bad to share. Shrimp & Pork Dumplings - one of my friends favorite. I thought it was good too with the feelings and wonton wraps they use. Black Sesame Mochi Rice Balls (peanut and matcha flavors) - Onyx Lava Custard Bun with Gold Flakes - a girl loves her gold and this is no exception. I'm bougie, aiight? lol. Honestly though, their custard buns are delicious. It's not too sweet from what I'm used to for custard buns. It was fluffy and warm. Just perfect to end the night (except we got it midway and not all the main dishes came out... luckily one of the other servers left a lid on top and told us to just keep it warm till the end). Their tea drinks were surprisingly really good. My favorite is their passion fruit green tea. Would I be back? Maybe and only if I'm in the area.

Located inside of the 99 Ranch Market (#1) along Mason, it had so much potential but struggled with foot traffic. As a result, it closed for good several weeks ago. With only a handful of tables, the setup was casual and completely unpretentious. The restaurant transitioned from over-the-counter ordering to a self service kiosk, a practice that has become commonplace amongst many Asian eateries. Prices were reasonable for the area, with plenty of options under $10. The menu featured a number of classics true to Shanghainese cuisine, including their stir fried udon (上海粗炒麵), scallion oil noodles (葱油拌面), min purse wontons (小馄饨), and even braised wheat gluten (烤麩). All of these items delivered in a big way, even their steamed dumplings (水餃) was silky and plump. Unfortunately two Shanghainese staples fell short: soup dumplings / XLB (小籠包) and pan fried buns / SJB (生煎包). The XLB was doughy, unstable, and the broth lacked depth. The SJB suffered from a similar doughy texture, with very little crisp at the bottom. These were not issues initially, but over time the decline in quality became noticeable. There is a part of me that hopes for a revival in a new location. While there is no shortage of soup dumplings in Houston, Shanghainese cuisine remains rare. ___________ (#1) 99 Ranch Market - Katy: https://www.yelp.com/biz/99-ranch-market-katy-2

The quality of the food 9/10, the price was a bit on the pricey side for the portions of the dishes. The hot & sour soup was $17! It wasn't anything special about it. I thought it was a bit steep for a family size, but I guess good service made up for it. I'm not sure if they were offering Chinese New Year specials, but within an hour there were several big parties with reservations. I recommend this place for authentic Cantonese Chinese food. It's rare to find good food and good service!

Went during my lunch break and I was not disappointed, honestly 10/10…read more I was expecting for it to be jammed packed but surprised to only see another group of 3 there.. this place definitely needs more recognition. I had the pork soup dumplings and they were delicious and juicy, also ordered the pork buns (steamed) and they were packed with lots of flavor ! I also ordered the spicy wontons and let me just say that I was very happy, they had a hint of honey that evened out the spice and was the highlight of my meal, ordered the spicy sour cucumbers and it was perfect for that refreshing touch. If you are ever in the Katy area I definitely recommend!

Take this review as it is and I'm just writing from my experience here…read more It's a small, cozy restaurant in a busy plaza. Parking was hard to find but that's not the restaurant's fault. The food was pretty good for the most part. The broth of the soup was flavorful and I liked the homemade noodles from the beef soup my friend and I ordered. In my opinion, I would give the overall flavor of the food 4 stars just because the meat of the dumplings itself wasn't as flavorful as I'd hope. However, the wood ear mushroom salad was phenomenal. The service though, was subpar. I didn't have a good experience because of my food allergy. I'm allergic to crustaceans. The first thing the lady asked was what kind of drink we wanted - my friend asked for warm tea. She proceeded to look at her funny and kind of gave her a bit of an attitude and said "what's warm tea?". My friend meant hot tea and ordered that. It was a weird vibe from her but we thought nothing of it. Then when it was time to order the food, I ordered the pork and mushroom xialongbao and even pointed to it. The lady proceeded to upsell and asked if we wanted to order the pork and crab version instead. I asked my friend if she wanted it and I just won't eat it and she said no. Then, the lady proceeded to say something about ordering pork and shrimp (we didn't understand) but we didn't say anything about it. We didn't confirm anything, we just didn't respond. Not sure if she assumed or what. We just wanted to order the pork and mushroom xialongbao. The one I pointed to. Then the food came out. I noticed the xialongbao had a tiny piece of shrimp at the top. I thought it was a mistake. I opened it up and saw a big piece of shrimp inside next to the pork. I thought, maybe the pork/mushroom xialongbao has shrimp too and thought nothing of it. I decided to eat around the shrimp and the broth itself was tasty. Then I decided to go ahead and ask her if the pork and mushroom xialongbao included shrimp, she said no. I told her -- "oh we ordered pork and mushroom, not shrimp. I'm allergic. I wouldn't order this." And instead of acknowledging the mistake, she says "I confirmed with you and your friend that you ordered the pork & shrimp." I then said "no, we didn't confirm this because I'm allergic". She said "well maybe your friend confirmed it". I looked at her funny because I was the one who placed the order, my friend didn't speak. I was frustrated so I walked back to my table and just decided to eat the rest of my food. The chefs in the back asked her what happened so I guess she told them. She came back to our table and offered a few pork and mushroom xialongbaos but still doubled down on the fact that we confirmed the pork and shrimp one. We didn't want it because at this point I was full and frustrated. This was an honest mistake but it just irked me that she kept on insisting that she didn't make a mistake. I wish she would have owned up to maybe mishearing me or whatever instead of insisting that she was right. I could have easily given this place 5 stars even if there was a mistake made if she was kinder about it. But her attitude was quite off putting and I'm not sure that I'll be back again.

Authentic Chinese foods…read morethat I have never tried, or not even heard of, can be found here; for instance, "Pig nose with cucumber and garlic (appetizer #14)" sounds like bizarre and freaking people out, but it is delicious!! Seriously, I never knew pig nose were edible *face palm* Anyways, for the very first time I had the "pig nose" (pig snout), man oh man! I liked it! The pig snout has been slow-cooked so it is pretty tender yet chewable, and it tastes sorta like pork tongue or soft tendon; the cucumber adds a refreshing crisp and the garlic boosts the flavor! I DARE YOU to try this bizarre food! Lol My favorite appetizers and entrees here include, but are not limited to: 1) Shredded potatoes in chili oil (appetizer): a little spicy; loves the crispy texture of the shredded potatoes; tasty and interesting! 2) Sweet & Sour pork loin: i love almost everything sweet & sour so I may be a little biased on this one; however, not only me but also the boyfriend and his coworkers have said that it is delicious, so i'm sure this is a good one! 3) Shrimp w/ cabbage: flavorful, but kinda greasy as the shrimp and cabbage are soaked in oil. Don't be fooled by the orange-reddish colored oil though; this one is not spicy at all. 4) Pork kidneys stir-fried w/ cabbage: another one that sounds bizarre, maybe? oh well, the organ meat is thin-sliced and cooked just right so it is soft and crispy, rather than chewy and plastic-ky (as if overcooked). I would recommend this one to the organ-eaters *wink* 5) Egg scramble w/ Clams: eggs not overcooked; clams taste fresh. Just perfect! Prices are very reasonable (accepts credit cards); food portions are huge; service is prompt and friendly. Before I go, this place is BYOB!

I really wanted to like Wanna Bao because the presentation of the food was beautiful, but overall,…read morethe taste just did not live up to the visuals for me. We came with a group of 18 people, and the bill ended up being around $972. Unfortunately, most of the dishes were more impressive visually than flavor-wise. The colorful green fried rice looked unique, but honestly just tasted like regular fried rice. The green beans were overcooked, so they lost the crunch and sweetness that usually make that dish enjoyable. The green curry was extremely spicy, but outside of the heat, it wasn't very memorable. The shaking beef dish looked amazing presentation-wise, but the sauce was too sweet for a savory dish, and the crispy rice pairing just didn't work well for me. I initially thought the duck dish was Peking duck, but it was actually the Jasmine Tea Smoked Duck. Even so, everyone at my table agreed we still preferred the traditional Peking duck style. The duck itself lacked flavor for us, and the skin was soft instead of having the crisp texture we were hoping for. The only dishes I genuinely enjoyed were the soup dumplings, cucumber salad, and fried dumplings. Most of the other dishes at the table were barely touched. If you're looking for colorful, aesthetically pleasing food and great presentation, you may enjoy this place. But if flavor is your main priority, this spot just wasn't for me personally.
