This is a gluten free review. Grub Burger Bar is a good find in BCS. The burgers are delicious! They are owned by Hopdoddy's so they take similar precautions with food sensitivities. They use a dedicated fryer so you can enjoy the fries too. (And their buns hold together better than Hop's.) The last time we went it was over 100 degrees in August. Margaritas were on special and we were ready for it! read more

Just a great experience. The double Waygu smash burger with grilled jalapeños was pure goodness. The loaded fries did not take aa back seat to the burger. read more

So a long time ago, I went into the restaurant and they had the best Greek chicken sandwich. Well, they don't have that on the menu anymore which makes me very sad lol. But I've recently DoorDash the Wagyu burger. I cannot tell you how amazing it is. I have also ordered the brussels sprouts which are perfection. And the barbecue mac & cheese. I tell you what their food is amazing!! and last, but at least I ordered a caramel milkshake and before I ate my food, I was just gonna take a taste and eat the after. I literally drank the whole thing before my meal.!! it was so creamy and delicious. That's the best milkshake I've ever had.!! read more

I really like this place, and I've only scratched the surface. The Cuban Burger was worth every penny, but I'm pretty sure I'll like some of their other burgers even more. The fries were fine, but not worth the north-of-five-bucks price. Spiked shakes? I'm having one next time for sure! One thing I regularly rail against, and will here, is being asked to tip before any service has been rendered. That's bass ackward. Overall though, this is a really cool place with a lot of savory choices on their menu, and no wonder my daughter highly recommended it! read more

Was within walking distance of my hotel and they do just meat patties upon request so I walked on over at 6:30 pm. It was not crowded and service was quick. Ordered three 8 oz meat patties and a drink. Total was $15 before tax. Will have to see if these are really 1/2 pound each. Inside was nice and some music I did not recognize playing at a good volume. It was also clean and well lit. They also have a bar that I did not get anything from so I cannot evaluate. The burger patties were juicy and flavorful. They did appear to be 1/2 pound and three was just enough. I would visit here again. read more

Excellent. Hamburger as delicious - my husband kept that so it must be true! I had a black bean burger on gluten-free bun. It was tasty but a tad salty for me, but I enjoyed it! French fries were thin and crispy. Great. Food was made to order. You walk up to place order and then you are assigned a table. We found that interesting but not off putting. They have a bar with beer on tap so that was a plus. Iced tea was good (bar has lemons and you'll need to ask if want thrmand they have typical fountain drinks. It was laid back with couples, families, young adults. Everything was clean and we will definitely stop in again when we are in the area. read more

Best burger I've ever had hands down. And I've eaten a lot of burgers. Cadillac Wagyu is amazing as well as the Cuban burger. I come here everytime I'm visiting college station and the quality is always there through and through. read more

Biggest mistake of this place is they should have asked me if I really wanted two patties. OMG! See the picture. If i had known, I would have just done the single. I actually removed one of the patties and saved it for later. The burger was delicious. Probably because TX beef. There was a Wagyu burger that was twice the price. If you are here in TX, don't bother with that, since it is all marketing and the standard burger using TX beef is succulent. I will be back to this place every night I am here. read more

Their Cadillac wagyu is a must try. Definitely one of the juiciest burgers I've ever had.

There where quite a few things that went wrong with my visit to "Grub Burger Bar". The most alarming issue that we noticed was the restaurant was empty at 5:00 on a Saturday. That should have earned us about what we would encounter. We ordered and got our food, other reviews gave the impression the meals having good portions but they were wrong. The chicken on the chicken sandwich was about as thin as one of their fries, and was tasteless. The fries were quite possible the saddest thing I've ever seen. They looked like McDonald's fries if you let them rot outside for a few days. On our way out we saw a bug in the building and that was the most appatizing thing I saw during our stay. They had fast service on account of the zero people in the building. read more

Good burger and fast service. They also have a bar too, which I did not try and offer milkshakes . Its has a nice modern interior as well.

Came in on a Saturday night at 9pm for dinner. Not to many people were there and I don't know why. The burger was amazing. I had the #9 bacon cheese burger. I am glad we stopped by. We will definitely be back. read more

Try the new burrito! It's so good. A nice flour tortilla that is stuffed with soft scrambled eggs, small diced potatoes, a high quality chorizo that isn't greasy, diced bacon and a few onions that don't overwhelm the other well proportioned ingredients. It's about 3" to 4" in diameter. Comes with a creamy red sauce and the chile cheese dip. Some crispy tortilla chips are included. You'll probably take half of it home. It's huge. The burgers kick ass too & the drinks are stout. My wife loves the ice cream drinks at the full bar. read more

Food is always good, service is above all, restaurant is clean and inviting! Was the only place open during ice storm!

Everything!!! We literally were trying to find a quick bite for our son who was participating in a basketball tournament. We were trying to stay away from greasy foods as well. When we got there we found something for us as parents, but my son was disinterested in the menu. Then DAWN (manager) swooped in and saved the day. She literally went to the back and came out with the perfect spread of grilled chicken breast, sliced oranges, boiled eggs, and a leafy salad. It was perfect and my son tore it up!!! I was so impressed with her effort to make him happy and all the food was delicious. Especially the salmon burger we ordered. I wish we had this food and level of service in Houston read more

Tried this place on a whim, the burger was full of flavor, tried the BBQ sauce and it was pretty good, love the vibe of this place, was greeted as soon as I walked in, was given recommendations on the burgers and shakes as well, the passion fruit margarita was so good I had a few! Stop in and this spot, you won't be disappointed read more

Getting ready to relocate to Bryan / College Station and saw this establishment. Checked them out on Bring Fido and saw 5 bones. Absolutely correct! I'd give them 10 if I could. Excellent food, service, and attention to our four legged companions. We will definitely return from time to time after we move here. Check them out even if you don't have dogs. You'll not regret it. read more

THEY DESERVE 100 stars and more!! I loved my food but besides that the staff was outstanding. They were the sweetest people ever and I brought a dog from the shelter to eat and they welcomed her and brought her treats, water, and pet her and we felt so welcome here. I cannot recommend this place enough it was a highlight of my day how sweet they were to us. read more

Had gone in with a burger in mind, that is until I pulled the door handle and saw the salmon burger pictured. Ordered it instead of a burger, fries to go with and because it was happy hour I ordered chicken wings boneless I think (my son ate) and onion rings $5 each. It was a little messy and part of my bun got soggy and had to take off. Salmon itself wasn't super flavorful with seasoning, but great to have a salmon option when wanting a healthy option. I had my pickled onions on the side. Fries were great and tried the onion rings in the air fryer when I got home-delicious! Manager/owner said was originally on the menu pre COVID, but then added back as a temporary item, but it has been so popular that it's still available (not on the menu though). I enjoy going here, but I forget about its location, but will definitely keep it in my faves! read more

Grub Burger Bar is a great place to grab dinner or dessert with friends. The first time I was here I ordered the Mac 'N' Cheeseburger, which is exactly what it sounds like - mac & cheese, cheese sauce, & bacon on a burger. I thought it might be too heavy, but it was actually a great combo! If you're super hungry this one is definitely for you. I also came by with friends for dessert to try their shakes. We all ended up ordering the Worms & Dirt, which comes with crushed Oreos & gummy worms. As someone who loves milkshakes and had "dirt" as a dessert growing up, it was amazing! I would definitely order it again. read more

Lots of parking and seating. One of the best burgers I've had in BCS! The sweet potato fries weren't that great.

EXCELLENT burgers! The scorpion burger is perfectly spicy but not too much so don't let the name scare you. Bar drinks came out a bit slow would be the ONLY thing I can think of if I had to give a negative. read more

We are visiting from out of town and wanted to try a local spot. Grub burger bar is delicious, food quality was top notch, service was great and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean! We had a variety of food from burgers, to tenders and grilled cheese and everything was fresh and tasty! Next time we are in College Station we will make a stop, there are more things we want to try! The team members were super friendly and the manager came to check on us, overall just great customer service! For the amount of food we bought the price was reasonable for a family of 4 with an appetizer and fountain drinks. read more

Not the best burger in college station. Having said that, there were two factors that could be influencing my opinion. I went there on National Cheeseburger day (9/18), so maybe the burger wasn't as good as it usually is. Secondly, I got the basic Front Porch burger. They had a national cheeseburger day deal where that burger was $5 only. However, the patty was quite perfectly cooked. The only downside were the toppings. The toppings were a bit too much and this shifted the focus from that patty. The ambience is super hip and really cool. Service was quick in spite of being packed with people. It was also happy hour. So we got the boneless chicken wings. They were really good! read more

We visited Grub for lunch on a Friday after a college visit. It was quiet and very clean. I ordered the Maverick burger - a plant-based or vegan option - without the Swiss, added sprouts, aioli on the side, and without the bun. Also ordered sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the Guacapotle burger with regular fries. Service was good and friendly, and the food came out quick. The Maverick came on a bed of iceberg and spinach, a marinated tomato slice, and topped with a mound of sprouts. I give the Maverick a thumbs up. It was well-seasoned, but this was also my first plant-based patty ever. I'm glad I added the sprouts.! My husband rated the Guacapotle 7.5 out of 10. Said it was kind of small. Fries were lukewarm, not hot and fresh like my sweet potatoes fries! Overall, good experience. read more

We had a taste for burgers today, so we decided to stop by for fancy burger. Grub Burger did not disappoint. The vegetarian burger is delicious. There is nice balance of smoky flavor from the "meat", crunchy texture from the onion rings followed by the freshness from the spinach. I will return soon. read more

The food was delicious!! I got the buffalo macaroni, and we split cheese fries. I honestly don't remember what everyone got but all of it was yummy! Great service, fun casual atmosphere. Oh, husband got the Lockhart burger. Loved it. read more

The food is amazing! Burgers and fries are very well seasoned, the shakes are delicious, and the other sandwiches are good as well. Service was amazing, besides being prompt, attentive, and overall cherry my daughter lost her wallet and not only did staff take it to a safe area but they also ensured nothing was taken from it and returned it to us safely. The videos played on the TVs in the store are fun as well, during our time there we saw many clips of people enjoying different types of food and doing activities such as rollerskating but there was also a TV playing Bob Ross. Whenever we came in the tables were clean and everything looked well taken care of! This is a must visit in college station! read more

Ok, straight up, this place has AMAZING burgers. I cannot say enough how much I love the Wagyu burger. It is so damn good, and definitely get the sweet potato cross cut fries! Bam! But hey, seriously, yall took away the Salmon burger, and that was super delish also, and the wife is big time bummed. She is celiac (gluten free) and basically a pescatarian, and that was her go to. Help me get back to a Wagyu a week please, or else it'll be down to when I can sneak in during lunch!! read more

High quality casual food options. More expensive then I thought it would be for a place you order at the counter, but food was high quality and atmosphere was nice. Chips and queso was super good. Margarita was small. Manager came by our table, very friendly. College boys we took there thought it was one of the best burgers they have had in CSTAT so far. read more

I've been here twice and each time I think- it's good for college station. My most recent trip included the Cali chicken sandwich & an order of onion rings. The sandwich wasn't bad but wasn't super tasty. It's a great gourmet burger if you're looking for something other than fast food! read more

Yumm-o! This is one of the best burgers I've ever had at a "fast food" establishment. I was hungry after finishing up a photo shoot.", and a friend treated me to a burger and fries here. I had the Front Porch burger and fries. This burger did not skimp on the beef. It was thick and well done (but not dry) like my momma would make at home when I was a kid. All the ingredients on the burger were fresh and delicious as well. As I've said in other reviews, I've never met a French fry I didn't like. Grub fries are the thick, crinkle cut style and I did not leave one in my "to go" box. The cashier was friendly and read back our orders to insure they were accurate. All around a yummy experience. You will be filled up and satisfied. Let me know what you think. (Sorry no photos- had to hightail it back to Austin with burger in one hand and steering wheel in the other). read more

Super cool atmosphere and amazing selection of burgers !! I ordered the jive turkey bar which came with free fries and a drink since I used a hooked offer. My total was 9.04 and the meal was huge with lots of leftovers ! I don't usually like burgers but this one was super good and didn't feel too heavy . I will definitely be returning if there's another deal since it's a little pricey without , and perhaps trying out the awesome bar we saw !! read more

Burgers were overpriced for what we got. Nothing to impress. Ambiance was good and service was nice.

Food was obviously cooked prior to our order. Not even warm. Very disappointing! The taste was good but the fact is I could have purchased a hotter made to order burger at Wendy's for $10 less read more
