Enjoyed the burger and I love that they have Blue Bell ice cream. They have a lot of seating, as well as parking in the front and back.

Came here for the first time with my family. We ordered the Carter cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, Texan burger, grilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries, seasoned fries, and onion rings. They were all flavorful with all the veggies. The burger patties are almost like a smashed patty, but slightly burnt to where there is some texture. The fries are very delicious although I'd like to see them cooked a little longer for the crispiness. They even had a large Blue Bell ice cream section for desserts, but we were too stuffed to have any. We will definitely be back because they have so many other choices. Overall, decent price for the large portions. You order at the front and they deliver your order to your table. The fountain drinks are free refills. Staff are very friendly and fast. On Tuesday, December 30 I went to get burgers from Carters Burger!. For me and my daughter. It was about 7:03pm when I drove up. I was waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting in the drive-through and then an African-American employee came right in front of me to throw trash. She walked all the way down to the dumpster, which is maybe 20 feet away came back and never asked me have you been helped. I could see three employees walking around inside so I decided to call by this time. It was 7:18 PM. I could hear the phone ringing and no answer. I want to make a note that I know Tuesdays are busy, If you've done this for so long, you know how many people that you're going to accommodate. Also, how many people need to come in and work that day? Then when I did call 2times no one answered. Finally around 7:32 PM. One of the girls came to the window to ask if she could help me? Friendly people, good burgers, and plenty of fry options! What more could you need? I had a lunch date with my wife here recently and got the Hawaiian burger with chili/jalapeno fries. The burger was good but I'll admit I didn't taste the pineapple very much -- might as well have been a regular burger, however, it was on a special for Wednesday, and quite affordable. The chili/Jala fries were really good and came with a ranch-style sauce I poured all over. My wife got a regular burger with onion rings and very much enjoyed it. Their burger patties are a little thin but I think they make up for it with the price of each burger being much lower than other restaurants. They also have good deals on ice cream scoops which are $2 if you catch them at noon. I also enjoy the TX Burger location on Wellborn Rd which is owned by the same people here so it's no surprise I like this Bryan location too! I used to love to come to carters! The food is really good! But service is horrible! I went through the drive through and ordered 2 meals and a side of corn tots. We went to pay and the lady asked us if we wanted to tip. Which nothing wrong with that at all but when we declined she got so upset she made us wait 30 minutes for our food and forgot a bunch of items so we came back through let her know she made us park and we waited 20 more minutes. All because we didn't tip. We didn't eat in I believe on tipping waitresses and waiters not drive through. Just my preference. The fact she had such a horrible attitude and was just nasty to us I just don't see myself going back to the establishment. Awful attitude. read more

The food is REALLY good! We haven't gone inside to eat but, the window staff is always kind. The only thing that really bothers me is our most recent visit we stayed parked in the drive through because there was no one behind us. Which we normally don't get to do and I was able to see into the back where the burgers are made. Not a single person had gloves on, any form of hair net or otherwise, and one of the guys had just come back inside from smoking, straight to burger making. I'm not a germaphobe by any means. It wasn't until he wiped his nose with the back of his hand and scratched his face while assembling the toppings on our burgers I was actually grossed out. My son also found a hair in his patty melt. We love TX burger and this location is close to our house - we have had it before a few years ago and it was so good. Tonight was very disappointing. Both of our burger patties were cold and icy in the middle. I thought maybe it had just sat out too long but the patty was definitely colder than room temperature while the bun was warm. My husband also told me his burger was icy too and he was thinking it was the veggies the whole time but realized that was not the case... yuck. I was trying to salvage it and not complain by asking them to heat it up for me. They must've microwaved it for 2 minutes! It was not edible after that. I resigned to not eat it and just make up for it with ice cream - which was good - thanks Blue Bell Would've had a better burger across the street at Whataburger. Food and Service was good, but after I got my food what did disturbed me around 6:00 pm until 6:25 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025. A young girl behind the counter was using ice bucket to put ice from top into the ice machine, she was not paying an attention. when she moving the ice from top, it was going on the counter, in the jewelry displayed on counter in front of cash register, on the floor. A man came and in to get a a malt/shake, he was getting the ice out of the jewelry displays and putting ten to fifteen cubes on the counter for it be picked up. The lady that filled the ice machine, grabbed her phone to take a phone call, the ice was melting, running down the countertop, some water melting onto the floor, making water puddle in front of the register, getting bigger and bigger. Nothing was being done to clean the water, ice, floor. I went to get ice cream, I told the young girl when she was scooping my ice cream that there was ice cubes melting on counter and running onto the floor, I told her it was a safety issue if someone slipped and fell, she did not missed a beat, kept scooping the ice cream, did not say anything, nor did she look at the situation after she served me. When the girl who filled the ice machine came back to the counter, the girl who served me my ice cream said something to her, she went and got Wet Floor sign and put it over the water puddle, served a customer who stepped in the puddle, put his hand in the water on the counter, he said something, after his order was taken. The girl who filled up the ice machine and another employee sat there and continued watch the ice to melt on counter, run down the countertop and onto the floor, The restaurant was not busy, plus there were workers who were not busy behind the counter who could had cleaned it up, instead of watching it melt. read more

When we arrived yesterday I was pleasantly surprised that is was a "down home" burger joint rather than a fast food restaurant. Went here yesterday and ordered large sweet potato fries and a 3 scoop ice cream which came out to around 6.50. The fries took a little while to come out , but they were perfectly cooked and super delicious ! The ice cream was also super creamy and tasty! I think this place is a bit under rated. Might because of their promotions (daily specials as well as half priced burgers). I got a gift card and before I tried out this place, I read a bunch of reviews. I was so worried about my food quality and service speed, so I did not go on a half priced day, did not try daily specials, and guess what, the normal price stuffs are delicious! I ordered a holiday burger (basically a 1/4 lb bacon burger with grilled mushrooms and onions) with sweet potato fries. The burger is delicious! It's juicy, the bacon is crispy, and everything is just the right amount of flavoring. I absolutely loved it. 4.5/5 for the burger! Sweet potato fries is definitely a highlight! It is so good that I can't help thinking about them when I was sitting in my car and driving on my way home. It's very crispy outside, tender and sweet inside. I don't even need to use ketchup and I can eat the sweet potatoes all by themselves. The service is very quick and friendly(as of 11 am) My suggestion is, try something not included in your hooked deals or daily specials or any kind of promotions. It might be a bit pricier money wise, but the food quality is better, and that's all that matters. And really, the owner might going the wrong way about promotions. It's always worthwhile to give discount to your star products, rather than affordable products. Came here twice now for their half price burgers on Tuesday (5-close). The 1/3 lb, 1/4 lb, Little Texan, gardenburger, doubles, and triples are half off but the other more gourmet burgers are the same price. Prices are normally $3-5, so half off is such a steal. The burgers themselves are a very satisfyingly large size. Definitely Texas sized burgers. I ordered the Maverick (1/4 lb) burger both times. They let you decide to have all the veggies or not (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles) and ask if you want mayo or mustard all the way. It's nice that they ask. Ketchup is on the side, though. Also, I think it's nice that you can have it on a wheat bun. You can also get your onions grilled or add cheese for a small extra charge. The burger itself tasted good and was not full of fatty parts or tendon or non-meat parts. The diameter of the burger patty fits the bun, which I think should always be the case. It seems cheap if a burger joint gives you a patty smaller than the bun, which basically hides the main component of the burger. The vegetables were fresh and the amount of mustard slathered on was plenty (which I liked, although people impartial to mustard may prefer wiping some off). The flavor was good as a burger should be, and it was not greasy. I ordered the sweet potato fries the first time and the seasoned fries the second time. What caught my eye was the crinkle cut of the sweet potato fries! Hadn't seen this cut in a while, so my interest was piqued. The fries were delicious, sweet and creamy. The texture was fried to a soft crisp. Similarly, the seasoned fries were just as delicious. These were cut straight and seasoned with some black pepper spice mix. It was very tasty and my BF wanted to go back the next day to eat the fries all by themselves. The cashiers and cooks look primarily like college students from town, which is great. There is a youthful, fun, and customer-friendly atmosphere about these student workers. They are very accommodating and nice. The space is clean and spacious. They also sell Blue Bell ice cream for a very very affordable price. Every day from 2-4pm is "Happy Hour" where ice cream plus a soda is only $1, or $1.50 for a double scoop plus soda. My favorite deal is the Wednesday ice cream special: only 50 cents for a scoop! Additionally, there is a coupon online for a free waffle cone with any ice cream purchase. I got two scoops plus a waffle cone for only $1. What a deal! I definitely want to return to get the Half-off burgers, try the vegetarian and turkey burgers, try the chicken fried steak plate/burger, get more ice cream, and try their smothered tater tots. This place is one of my favorite places to eat out in College Station now. Great price, great service, great selection, great atmosphere. read more

Been Going here for years. Definitely my favorite burger in town but I went tonight and it's always slow but it was extra slow tonight. I also was the only person waiting for a burger. On top of it taking forever they forgot my fries and they went to get me some and they were pretty cold when I got home. Excited to have dinner out after a long day we went to Carter's Burger. I ordered the daily special which was a steak finger basket and my husband ordered a double Carter burger. At some point the worker accidentally handed our order to the table behind us. Not knowing it was our order of course. I watched the cook discuss an issue with the order she delivered to that table. She then walked over and told the man "that's not your burger" mid chew, he put it down she grabbed the other burger and swapped it out. He didn't mind what he was eating. She threw it away. Since my steak finger basket cooked a lot quicker they were still on the counter. I asked her if that was my steak finger basket I would like it so I could start eating and didn't want it cold. She said no that she was waiting for my order and said that basket was under a warmer. We then waited for them to remake my husband's burger. She then grabbed the same steak finger basket and brought them to our table. Of course the steak fingers and fries were no longer hot and almost at room temperature. When I ordered a different worker asked if this was dine in and I said yes. She wasn't to pleased about that. I told her no worry I will eat fast and be out of there. From the condescending employees to the misleading advertisement for half price burgers to the paper thin patties that were seared to the color of hockey pucks, I definitely won't be back. I already had a bad taste in my mouth while I watched the cashier make the person in front of me repeat himself four times while laughing in his face because she wasn't paying attention. Then I got to order and my half price burger came with a $2.95 upcharge, making it about 80% of the original price. I was given some run around about how it reflects the size of the burger and a lot of customers ask the same question. If everyone is asking why their "half price on Tuesdays" burger isn't truly half price, maybe you should be more clear about the policy... The burger itself didn't taste like much. If the patty was any thinner, I would have lost it under the lettuce. I satisfied my craving for a burger at another restaurant the next day. read more

Would have been 15 to 20 minutes, but the guy in front of me got tired of waiting and left.
