A random pick unsure of where to lunch, but it was great. Staff all super friendly, and plenty of seating outside in the shade. Had sort of a roadhouse feel to it, and definitely got busy as the lunch hour progressed. Had a couple beers, the brisket Philly, a frito pie and side of Mac and cheese. Really wanted the brisket queso too, but chickened out as I already ordered quite a bit. Will get it next time though, the brisket in the Philly was delicious. Entered a raffle with an older couple for a pistol on the way out, which I wasn't expecting, but as the elderly gentlemen said, one can never have too many firearms. This was possibly the worst place that I have ever ordered from in Bryan/College Station I ordered the ribs and they were nothing but fat. The car was r rendered and the little meat that was on them was full of fat and gristle. So gross rhar I couldn't eat them. The "sides" of corn and beans were in a tiny container and the barbecue sauce was little more than a thimble amount. It was $17.99 for this horrible inedible meal. If you have this place a high rating then I have to assume that you ordered something else and that it far surpassed my experience. Had to make a quick run to town to pick up something for work and stopped by with my husband for lunch. Service was speedy and professional, the beer was good, and the food was good. Nothing overly special, just good solid Texas bbq. Ribs fell off the bone and pulled pork was seasoned just right. The team were pleasant. They have a good bar selection including many draft beers. I ordered brisket with fries and salad. The salad was crisp and has fresh tomatoes. The fries were hand cut thick fries but had a little crunch on the corners. The brisket had a flavor and texture similar to pot roast. The interior is interesting- they have a wall of dog photos - they told me it is from the dogs who visited the restaurant. They have a book shelf and have some games to play on their patio. It's rare to have such a combination of ambiance, good food, and friendly service. They only have one flavor of barbecue sauce, so someone who wants variety might be disappointed. read more

The chicken fried steak was ridiculously good here. Every thing I ate, the salad, the mac and cheese and the steak fries were all quality. It just seemed like whoever was cooking wanted me to enjoy my meal, not just sell me a plate of okay, but very good food. Everything we ordered was delicious and memorable for someone from out of Texas: chicken wings, chicken sandwich with fries, chili, and the half rack of ribs. Generous portions. The ribs were flavorful as were the mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. The gravy was intensely flavored. The fries were homemade and way better than store bought. Chicken in the burger was flavorful. This was a quick and interesting visit. The young lady who started with us told us she want on the clock but her sister would take care of us. When her sister came and we asked how she was, she told us about being sick and having a fever the day before. The brisket nachos were good. Plenty of cheese and they weren't stingy with the brisket. We also got a side of the baked beans. They were unusual as they also contained peaches in them. When we asked about the Mac and cheese, the server told us it was good, but when asked if they were family reunion style, she told us it was a single Mac and cheese. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and were told to sit anywhere. We started off with the loaded fries which were really tasty. My son had a burger with mac n cheese and hubs and I spilt ribs and sausage. Everything was perfectly cooked. Went here based on the good reviews. Probably the worst BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD IN TEXAS. The meat was dry and not very flavorful. The Mac and cheese was good and the fries but that is about it. We got ribs, brisket and chicken. Also the server wouldn't stop talking to us when we were ordering and then we had to flag her down the rest of the night and she only had one other table. Horrible service . A girl at the counter not understanding what regular and marble or lean brisket is wrong is in bbq business. I came in on sat 21st at 12pm and asked for one lb of sliced brisket from the marble side, The girl looked at me like I was stupid. Had to go ask or tell the cook about it. The cook came out and asked for the lean side so I said yes. He proceeded to tell me it was already cut up. It's all mixed up. But it's sliced brisket thou. No reply. Cook brought tray chopped up brisket. Told them this is not what I asked for. The cook said I just cut this for you. Brisket is too salty and into little cubes. That was $23 lb for that . That's a ribbed off. Specifically ask for sliced brisket from the marble side. Told won't come back again and their response was have a great day. Terrible experience, don't come here. read more

The food and the service is superb! The Big Dawg Bowl with mashed potatoes is my favorite.

The Brisket itself broke apart easily, not much fat and had a great smokey flavor. I got a side of pulled pork but was delightfully mis-given a brisket side. I added the brisket, jalapeños, and pickles to the sandwich and it was phenomenal. I've had my fair share of Jim's on south Street, Delassandros' and Angelo's as I'm from PA. Substitute the cuts of meat, brisket for flank, it's pretty damn good. The roasted peppers, fried onions and straws contributed to the synergy of the sandwich. Fries were awesome as well, comparable to Five Guys fries. Chili was expecting more kick, but love the kidney beans and overall dish. Avery Maharaja IPA was good compliment, $6 for a hazy I'll take it. Weather was great so it was nice to enjoy Cornhole and outdoor seating with the hanging lights on a Friday night. FINALLY got to hit up the station tonight and hit it was deliciousness!! The setup is really fun- they have a large patio area outside with an awning. we happened to come on a night where there was some biker event so it was very busy- and yet the service was very good and the food was fast- i was impressed! not to mention the prices are really great at this place! and for bbq! and good bbq! This place is kid friendly which is also awesome- they have coloring sheets for the kids with a variety of crayon options- they have a great kids meal- the kids got a $7 kids bbq plate which came with a side and some toasted bread- it was a great deal and also just good food! i would say it's the best kids meal in town for the money and quality! I had the mac n cheese bowl which i have had before at their food truck and it's always a win! my husband had a bbq cheddar bowl and he enjoyed it along with the homemade chips that it came with. Wow! The hubby and I stopped here after a leisurely drive and what a find! Country BBQ atmosphere and relatively quiet. We started with loaded fries from the Happy Hour menu-um...delicious! Hubby ordered chili and I had a brisket bowl. We were both stuffed and even if we skipped the fries wouldn't have been able to finish. Our server was friendly and gave us good suggestions.
