Have you ever received a fine dinning experience in a college town without adding detriment to your bank account? Block T bar and restaurant is the most underrated bar in College Station. It's classy with a view and conveniently located across Kyle Field. Whether you're a student, visitor or alumni, you would be crazy not to stop by Block T Open to the public, Block T has it all. Why? It's classy while stretching your dollar further. In other words, you will receive the fine dining while having a blast for a reasonable price. This multi story bar will provide you with a vast selection of wine, beer and spirts, not to mention the impeccable staff and food selection. Should you find yourself at this amazing place, I urge you to request Humberto because he listens to what you say, pays attention to detail and exemplifies every aspect of what Block T represents.

It's a cool lounge type bar with good views of Kyle Field. They have 5 beers on tap, wine, and a full bar (it's located within the A&M Hotel and Conference Center). They have a few items to snack on (5 or 6 appetizers, a burger, and a brisket sandwich) "Howdy" Hour runs Sundays through Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Here are the specials: 20% off special food selections $3 domestic bottles $5 Texas draft craft beers & well cocktails $7 select wines Some of the tables have their own flat screen television - really cool! There's also an upstairs lounge area.

The food was surprisingly good at Block T Bar, we stayed at the hotel and wanted some late night food and everything we ordered came out great! I will say my expectations were a bit lower given the time of day we ordered, the location, and the reasonably low cost, but the family enjoyed everything! The peach salad was fresh, gave us about 5X the sauce we needed but luckily it came on the side! The pretzel bites were tender, warm, and the kids annihilated them. The nachos were a bit different than I saw in other photos- no guacamole or beans but plenty of jalapeños and pico de gallo. They came with an absolute mound of pulled pork, almost enough for a sandwich! Lastly we got the pie jar dessert, it was like banana bread with meringue and dulce de leche, nice little shareable dessert. We took it to go back to the room so I can't speak much to the service though the bartender I picked up the food from was friendly, there was live music, and overall seemed like a great food option, with an amazing location!

Came here to watch the football game vs miss state since we were staying at the hotel and they had good appetizers! Overall the service was great. The food was pretty good. Nothing next level or crazy but was great food along with some drinks! I got the peachy keen drink and it was really yummy if you like the deep eddys sweet tea vodka! The fries were not as crispy as I would've liked. Would come back for the atmosphere and views of course of Kyle field when watching an away game and decent food+brews!

Food was so so and service from the kitchen was slow as molasses. I would not return here for food. Maybe drinks but I don't drink.

We had been drinking beer, so I stuck to beer except for an old fashioned (which was excellent and used Buffalo Trace). They also have an awesome selection of draft beers. I had a Live Oak Hefeweizen which was excellent. Service was excellent both at the restaurant and the attached pizza area. Since we had been drinking a while, we decided to have pizza at the shop attached to the bar. They have a nice pizza oven and this was excellent. I forget the name, but it has a nice thin crust with great cheese and topped with sausage and mushrooms. It really hit the spot Definitely worth a visit, distinct from many of the other bars around.

I'm not often as impressed as I am by Rough Draught. Awesome, awesome selection. Good people who enjoy talking whiskey. The interior and decoration and walls - it all just GOES. It's perfect. Sadly they were out of a key ingredient or two to make pizza when we were there - during Thanksgiving week, so... not "normal" timing - so we sadly could not try their pizza. But we enjoyed multiple great pours, some good cocktails, great conversation, and exploring all of the details in the decor. A staple for any visit I'll be making to College Station and Aggieland.

I tried a couple of drinks out in the 2 days. I tried the Sour Hour and the Famous 1791 Old Fashion. The Sour Hour drink was recommended by the male bartender that was working on Thursday night. He was very knowledgeable and kind. It wasn't too strong, great ratio from alcohol to juices. I will get that again. On Friday night, I went down to the bar again to try another drink. This time, I can't leave College Station without trying the 1791 Old Fashioned. All I can say is this particular drink is in my top 3 hands down and I had many old fashions in my time working at my current job (on my day offs, of course). They put a teaspoon of brown sugar to tone down the strength of the Whiskey (Buffalo Trace) but not for the Whiskey to lose it's purpose. I will most certainly get it again. They also have a food menu just in case you want to order something to eat. Next time I'm in College Station and staying at The George Hotel, I'm coming back. Good job everyone that worked, this past Thursday and Friday night.
