The Burger house... or should I say Shack cause that's what it looks like ! I was in C station trying to find a good burger place. I used to live around Hempstead, Prairie view and Waller a couple years ago when I first came to Texas and it was kinda hard finding good places to eat ' I'm not gonna lie I was scouring yelp for about 30 mins before I stumbled across Burger House. I even got to the point where I asked some locals and they said Burger House was a burger staple in C station. Upon looking at the photos, it seemed like a burger that you make at the house to be candid. When I pulled up, I was like "oh wow this place look like a straight shack that's fasho." I decided to go through the drive-through & when I pulled up to the drive-through the gentleman who took my order was hella welcoming and just overall nice like he was happy I pulled up. I swear I was the highlight of my visit. I ended up getting the combo , bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink, and it was for decent price too. The burger itself was mediocre if I'm being honest, the meat lacked some seasoning, though the fries were pretty decent with a soft inside, light crisp outside. I like the fact they put the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on the side instead of in the burger which can make it soggy. So there was some attention to detail. The Bun though? That thang was soft on the outside and was lightly toasted on the inside, which was dope. Would I be back? Found this spot on our way from Waco to Houston. We often stop in Bryan for a bite and decided to try something new. So glad we did! Do NOT let the unassuming exterior of this place fool you. We pulled up and my husband and teenager were feeling iffy about this little hole-in-the-wall. Thankfully, some of the best food we've had has come from hole-in-the-walls so, we decided to give it a try. And so much YES. Everything, from the kind, gracious man behind the counter; the veggie/condiment bar being clean and chock full of super fresh veggies; and the burgers were spot on. When eating at a greasy spoon, I rarely stray from ordering a classic bacon, cheeseburger, but this girl loves her some bulgogi, and I had to indulge my curiosity. So glad I did-- the tender and flavorful bulgogi was served inside a buttery, soft-on-the-outside and slightly crisp-on-the-inside bun. I had my burger with a couple crisp lettuce leaves and a small shmear of mayo on the bun (as recommended by the man working the counter). It was the PERFECT combination. You know it's delicious when you're sad once you've finished the last bite. The fries, even though a side, were not an afterthought. They were balanced perfectly-- crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and just the right amount of seasoning. I had a bite of my husband's bacon cheeseburger and it was just as delicious. A classic done well, and a perfect example of how a burger doesn't need all the bells and whistles-- just a really great bun, a well-seasoned and pressed patty, with melty cheese, crisp bacon, and fresh veggie toppings. It's a cute little house that's been turned into a burger joint. The food was amazing. Bread is fresh and grilled on the grill with crispyness, deliciousness and softness. I got the bagoghi burger. It was really tasty. And the fries have a nice little spice on them. My nephew got the regular burger and he said it was very good. We will definitely be back. You have to order and then sit down, but the people at the front desk are very helpful and taking out with select like can't wait to come back and try something new. read more

One of those places you don't want to judge by its cover! I love how they had a veggie self-serve stand. So you can fill your burger with as much lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeños, pickles as much as you like! The only reason I can't give this place a full 5 stars is because of the price. I think its a little bit on the higher end. They do have combo options where it comes with fries and a drink but that easily passes $10. I think they make their own buns so that was really good! I got the bacon burger and it was good but I think if you're going to come here and spend money, then get the bulgogi burger to make it worth it. Delicious! I had the Bulgoki burger and it was soooo good! I didn't want it to end, I tried to savor each bite. They provide tomato, lettuce, pickles, and jalepenos on the side so you can add what you want. The fries were salted just right and it was a good portion. After spending the better part of my time in College Station searching for the perfect burger spot, I finally found it with Burger House. The restaurant is clean and put together, and it's clear it has been well taken care of and loved throughout the years. Right after deciding what we wanted to order, we approached the counter and were greeted by an extremely friendly man, who I assume is the owner or manager. We placed our order and he was quick to recommend a way for us to save money by doing meals instead of burgers and various sides. After sitting for a short time and enjoying the comfortable, homey aesthetic of the restaurant we were able to grab our food and get our toppings, which were extremely fresh. Our burgers were served on homemade buns and our fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Everything about the meal was perfect! Give this place a chance if you haven't already. Several burger options and side options. I got the 1/2 lb burger and my son got the Bulgogi burger. We each got fries and a drink and I ordered a side of onion rings for us to split. To the left of the counter is a basic topping bar where you have lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, mustard, mayo, ketchup, etc. and a basic soda fountain with Coke products. Did I say things were 'basic'? So, back to our extremely polite proprietor... this guy is so polite, you feel rude no matter what you do. You say thank you and he bows and thanks you instead. You hand him your payment and he bows deeply and thanks you again. He bows again as he hands you your card with both hands. You sign the credit card slip and he bows deeply again and thanks you. DON'T JUDGE A RESTAURANT BY ITS COVER. The exterior of the Burger House is a bit worn down looking, but looks are deceiving because their food was delicious. I ordered the bulgogi burger (thinly shaved pieces of meat marinated in a teriyaki sauce with Korean spices) and it was really good! My husband ordered a bacon burger and liked it (4/5 stars in his book). My husband and I shared the tater tots which were so crispy and delicious, but a tad bit on the oily side-- but nothing that bothered us too much. Each burger comes with just the meat and bun and then you add your topping from the topping bar (lettuce, onions, tomato, pickles, sauces, etc.). I really enjoyed the ability to choose what toppings we wanted, especially since my husband enjoys plain burgers and ends up having to ask for so many things taken off at other burger places. Apparently onion rings were off the menu due to some form of a mass contamination of bacteria I'd heard nothing about or maybe they just forgot to order them? Either way we ordered 2 cheeseburgers and fries and waited to be hailed. Upon getting our burgers we noticed our fries were limp, not crunchy, like they'd been hanging out for a bit? The burgers were preformed frozen looking rounds with an overworked firm not moist loose or juicy like a freshly made patty. The flavor was blah with poor seasoning, if any, and the cheese was miniscule if that. Great overall experience! The service is nice and quick, the food was pretty good, and the prices are under 10$! I tried the Bolgugi Beef Burger and it was pretty good, however my only complaint is that it should come with cheese at least, it basically just comes with the meat and you can add toppings from the toppings bar, but there is no cheese there. (I would recommend asking for cheese) the fries are small in portion but I appreciate you looking out for my health. Excellent burgers! Hubby says his bacon burger was as close to an old fashioned burger as he has had in a long time, certainly closer than anywhere we've eaten in BCS area. It reminded him of burgers he would get many years ago. Great buns toasted on a griddle, fresh veggies, well cooked, tender patty. Everything that was supposed to be hot was very hot and the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, jalapeños, and onions were packaged separately and cold. Fries were fine-cooked right and hot. I'd like to try the onion rings next. Everything is drive through right now so we waited in the parking lot for perhaps 5-10 minutes before our freshly cooked meal was brought to our window. The burger here made me super happy! The buns used a freshly made, making them very soft and not stale at all. I got the bulgoji burger with onion rings. It's basically just stir fried beef in a sweet and savory Korean bulgogi sauce topped on a bun. It's pretty darn good! The onion rings had too much breaking for me, making them too oily, but still pretty good. SO got the bacon burger, and the bacon is shaped like a square so you get bacon in every bite. Yeah bacon itself is a little thicker and harder than most though, probably because there's so much of it. The fries were really good though! Thick steak fries with Cajun seasoning but not salty. There's also a toppings station, where everything is placed on ice and looks very fresh and organized. It seems to be run by a Korean family and they seem super nice and respectful!
