One of my home cooking go-to spots in Bryan. On this trip, I tried the chicken strips with fried okra and mashed potatoes. The chicken strips are fresh cut chicken breast. Everything is freshly prepared, hot and delicious. Make sure you get a roll. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, great food, large portions, nice vibe with friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was looking for a place to eat in Bryan that has lots of different protein options. The menu is huge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For a weekday this place was hopping.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Greeted as I walked in and the seated. The service was nice and friendly. Server answered all our questions and checked on us. The server took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. The food, the rolls were nice and fluffy with a hint of sweetness... served with whipped butter. I ordered the Black Angus Fireman's Ribeye (it's not thick cut, but is tender and flavorful. I ordered mine medium rare it was a little over cooked, ) the fried okra was perfectly cooked and not greasy. The greens needed more flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is definitely family place. I also saw several couples dining[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is simple and lends to the overall concept of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of parking.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If your looking for a spot to meet up with friends or family and eat (a lot), Sodolak's is it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have been here many times and enjoy the Texas classics like chicken fried steak and Okra. On my last trip here for dinner, I found that the long-neck Beer had returned. Yahoo! I enjoy a bottle of beer with my steak dinner and am so happy that we have this option back. Thank you Sodolaks! You'll see me again!

Today I had the chance to stop In for a good meal at Sodolaks again! I had to wait about 10 minutes, but that was no problem! The locals know where to find a good meal. The waitress was right there to take my drink order and suggest some specials. I went with the chicken fried steak, green beans, fries and a great garden salad! The meal was just what I wanted! All very good, delivered very quickly. I love that the waitress weR the Sodolaks shirts, which all have different Bible verses on them!!! I would eat here again just for that alone! When in Bryan/College Station area, give Sodolaks a try. Go get Full

Nice recommended place, had A Ribeye pretty good with onions / mushrooms and awesome gravy and mashed potatoes. Appetizer was chicken fried bacon....wow definite a must try

Interesting place. Good home cooking. I had the hamburger steak with mushroom and onions. Hubs had the chicken fried steak. Sides were okay but not really note worthy. The wait staff was efficient, nice, and busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant inside has a very masculine feel...firefighter patches and bible verses on all workers shirts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I wanted to try a local steak place before I left College Station, so I picked Sodolaks, I ordered the sirloin with a baked potato, a side salad, and a sweet tea, everything was delicious the service was fast, I could've used more napkins, and I was a little afraid to ask for steak sauce but the steak was well seasoned so it didn't need it, kinda wished the baked potato came with bacon, it came with sour cream, butter, and cheese, the roll is a sweet Hawaiian style and was served warm

Some of the best feelings one gets when going into this restaurant. The steaks were amazing the peach cobbler was the best and THE DRINKS ARE IN MASON JARS!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank you to our server and the happy atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend strongly.

Escargot Stuffed Mushrooms- a bit tiny, but packed with buttery goodness. Entrees: A5 Wagyu Flat Iron- this was a special and it wasn't tender enough to cut with just a fork like I've experienced, but still pretty tender and very juicy. Seasoned perfect to eat by itself, but it came with 4 different restaurant-made steak sauces. Mesquite Smoked Short Ribs- very tender and can be torn to shreds with a fork. Comes with mash potatoes and gravy and some crispy noodles for texture. Very flavorful. Sides: Maple Bacon Pecan Brussel Sprouts- very delicious and flavorful. Smoked Mashed Potatoes- very thick and smokey, but delicious. Definitely need some water lol. Poblano Creamed Corn- my wife liked this, but I didn't care for that creamy corn texture lol. Dessert: Marie Antoinette Cake- chocolate mousse cake that was perfectly rich with some kind of raspberry or berry drizzle. Also came with these super delicious alcoholic infused strawberries that paired super well. Overall, it was a pricey dinner, but not as pricey as I thought. Definitely had a great time and worth the price and experience. The restaurant ambience was dim and cabin-like setting with lots of beautiful decor. While the service and ambience were great, the food was the star of the show. My husband and I often order appetizers for meals so this place was perfect for us. We had the bacon-wrapped dates, Spain on a plate charcuterie, the ribeye pinchos, and the special stuffed pepitos.
